Don't worry about MushHead. Kamala 'Head Hunter' Harris is ready to blow serve. Don't you feel relieved, I know I do.

‘I Am Ready To Serve’: Kamala Harris Responds To Concerns Over Biden’s Age

Harris was asked by the Journal if voters’ concerns about Biden’s age “mean she must convince them she is ready to serve,” and Harris said she is ready to serve, “there’s no question about that.”

Harris was interviewed by the Journal on Tuesday—before the Thursday release of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on Biden’s handling of classified data, which while not pursuing criminal charges against him, characterized him as appearing to be a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Do you remember when SNL was funny? Chevy Chase's Gerald Ford's routine was funny. Does SNL have the courage to take on MushHead's gracefulness? Nah.

Mental illness is not a laughing matter. It needs to be addressed in a serious matter. I've said for years that identifying as a member of the opposite sex is a mental illness. How many mass shootings by a "Transgender" individual have to occur before we say, "No more enabling those with a mental illness."?

The woman who carried a rifle into Pastor Joel Osteen’s megachurch on Sunday, opening fire and wounding two, including a 5-year-old boy, was reportedly transgender.

A “woman” named Genesse Ivonne Moreno, 36, who previously identified as Jeffery Escalante, reportedly brought the long gun into Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas along with the child before opening fire, wounding a 57-year-old man in the leg and critically wounding the child. He was brought down by security at the church, according to KHOU 11.

NBC News cited two senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter to report that the rifle had the word “Palestine” written on it.

But that question will not be addressed by the press or politicians. Perhaps they would if the ambulance chasing class action attorneys take on the medical professions' newest and lucrative "practice".

Not everyone is swallowing this Woke shit, hook, line and sinker. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

Holden Armenta, the 9-year-old child who is suing Deadspin after one of their writers tried to cancel him, showed up to Super Bowl LVIII in a Native headdress after a grassroots effort raised over $11,000 to send him to the game.

Armenta, who Deadspin writer Carron Phillips accused of racism for wearing a Native headdress and painting his face at a Chiefs game in an article, showed up to the game in the same garb that stirred Phillips’ outrage in the first place. The lawsuit against Deadspin was filed Feb. 6 in Delaware.

It shouldn't have been a grassroots effort. It should have been a judgment award to the young man.

I wonder what was going through this "educator's" mind. She probably heard of The Genius Award and wanted to be one.

LOS ANGELES — A principal at a San Gabriel elementary school was put on leave of absence by district administrators after pretending to shoot kids and announcing that children were "dead" during an active shooter lockdown drill, according to parents and staff.

The incident, which is under investigation by the school district, occurred Wednesday at Washington Elementary and involved Nina Denson, who has served as principal of the school since fall 2023.

Parents and staff members at the school told KTLA-TV that Denson pretended to shoot students during the drill using her fingers to represent a gun and announced that seven children had been killed

Most of the homeless (who aren't wet or ice backs) have mental issues. But, society can't institutionalize them or force them to take meds. They have rights. I thought tax payers had a right to walk on a city sidewalk that didn't have shit on them from a 2 legged animal.

I have 2 nephews who think they are trans. Nasty divorce between my bro and his ex. Of course they were carried in utero while mommy to be smoked pot along with daddy to be. Throw in alcohol and tobacco and no spiritual up bringing and you are going to have fucked up kids. I feel for them. I'm pissed at their parent.

>>Couldn't have happened to a nicer shrew.

She doesn't deserve and no black people deserve reparations for the simple fact that there are no black people still alive who have suffered from slavery and there are no people still around who benefited from slavery.

At the end of the Civil War, the population of the US was a little over 30 million, we are now a country of over 350 million, the vast overwelming majority of those people have, literally, zero connection to slavery at all.

If you want to go a little further, the population of the US when the 1964 civil rights bill was passed was 187M, today 350M or roughly 163 Million people, at a minimum, have zero to do with anything related to Jim Crow or segregation.

82 During Mass yesterday, I sat behind a beautiful family of 11. All 9 children were under 12 or so. All the boys were wearing suits, even the little guys under 4, with nice neat haircuts. All the girls and Mom were wearing long dresses and veils - even the infant in Mother's arms. The kids were very well behaved and happy, and as prayerful as their ages allowed.

It was a glorious sight. It did this jaded old man good.

It's the polar opposite of dogs, which I love as well, and people are often puzzled as a result. They were a very big deal to me as a teenager because of Morrison's Cool Image especially because in those days there was nothing to be known except the Cool Story. One of the mysteries of them to me is why the rest of them couldn't do diddley of any importance without Jim. Jim didn't even hum several of the big hits at them. And in a few years we are going to be looking for a new Yucca Mountain to house all of the batteries and solar panels that can't go into landfills because of toxic chemicals. They will never admit they have been wrong all along but they have been.

263 Re Social Security, and taxes, get this: if you are receiving SS benefits, but because you cannot afford to retire, you continue in self-employment, you first get to pay 15%+in "self employment tax" on all profits from your self employment, so you are paying into the SS system.
But on top of that, you can only deduct half the SE tax on your income tax return, so if your AGI is above a certain, very low, threshold, you also get to pay income tax on 80% of the SS benefits.

I think there might also be something going on with school employees pushing autism diagnosis, similarly to how a number of years ago they were labeling kids as ADHD. Well the First French Republic was basically proto-communazi repression and it was directly spawned by the salons of the Enlightenment, so....

I like to think of it kind of like one of those moralist painting sequences that were all the rage in the 18th century. Enlightenment had two children, Individual and Collective. Individual moved away from home, was very independent, and did incredibly well for itself while producing a great bounty for its own family and friends. Collective stayed home, got spoiled, and became a resentful, nasty, thuggish brute that ruined everyone and everything it touched.

Alas, it transpires that Individual was--like the problem of the third generation--so wrapped up in its own affairs that those children were in turn spoiled and are starting to look a lot like their terrible uncle...

Marines gotta have the acres and unfettered scope to run their base The Marine Way. Even if it's a 40 acre detachment off of a Naval Air Station, when on the Marine's grounds, it's to be run the Marine way.

Navy needs it's own places for the same reasons.

And neither can even remotely support the needs and requirements of the USAF CONUS base requirements.

397 What I’ve seen over decades about base closing commissions is small towns that rely on a military base gets screwed and the Rich Men North of Richmond get wealthier and more powerful.

There are tons of examples, but look at Beeville, Texas. Every naval aviator used to go through there for training, a small town that supported the base and the aviators that went through there remembered it. They crushed that town a few decades ago and in place of the naval air station, they gave them a maximum state prison. That kind of changed the general atmosphere.

In the northern Virginia/DC area They never lose a base they only increase in size or add more military elements to the original bases.

Anyway, the diarist mistakenly says Stonewall Jackson got his nickname from second Manassas, or she calls its second bull run. He got his nickname from first Manassas. I wanted to contact them to let them know just so they could make it change not to make a big thing about it. But they don’t have a contact option like AOP does I would have to join and pay just to tell them they made an error and they can change it quickly. 426 Cities never change, by default cities will always be inundated by left-wing Democrats. I live now in the city that is barely a city is this tiny thing that is older than the United States, but is only a city by self description.

They have a university, and they have the generational poor. Everyone in the county and all the counties adjacent are hard-core conservatives and red state. This so-called city will never change, because the geography isn’t going to change they’re not going to add new staters even though hard-core Maga works there every day.

My point is you’re not going to flip a city you’re not going to flip Richmond you’re not going to flip Houston, these people are trenched leftists and nothing can change their view.

I have always said Texas should change the rules and reign in these cities. Other states have done likewise Virginia was one of them when Republicans were in charge, they made law that the cities in check.

What I love about Virginia is the so-called cities are so small by Fiat, what I don’t like about Texas is the cities are so huge. A great bar bet for you to use is to ask someone what is the largest city in Virginia? The answer is

430 There has been an invasion on the south Texas border for at least 40 years. it has been going on a lot longer than that, but backed in the border patrol wasn’t joking around they were actually trying to do their jobs. If I lived in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, and listen to politicians on both sides today, I would’ve legitimately given up politics decades ago. The reality is this new phone problem has been going on for longer than a lot of the people that post here have lived. All the same arguments right and left yet no one does a thing about it.

I looked back at my own own life experience, and I know other western countries are very extreme about their borders. At least they used to be. Try is an American show in France or Japan or India, and say let me move here and make me a citizen. Just try that I’m asking you I’m telling you they’re going to laugh at you. But even half of the Republicans think it is totally normal to let anyone in and they can never explain why that is a good thing.

France knows why it is not, Japan knows why it is not, Argentina knows why it is not. but in this country, we treat people like idiots and we teach them to be idiots and they ask

455 Well, I am definitely on a pay no mind list for some reason. That is OK people can choose who they want to respond to.

I’ve been a member here for at least 10 years and I forget my first Nick when posting, but I contacted Ace and he hat tipped me almost 20 years ago. It was about daily kos making light of the 911 remembrance..

I became homeless in the last month of 2022 and I don’t think I posted here until well into 2023. No one ever asked about me. That was a wake up call I guess. I’ve always been devoted to this site and I’m not going to join another because I don’t think that much of the Internet. Though I think a few do like me or like the things I say, I don’t think anyone is my friend. That is OK, in many ways. It is a legit wake up call. This is not real life, but for many it is still important.

I have made no impact on anyone here, but it wasn’t for like of trying, that, was on me. Many here make that impact every day and that’s why I love this site.

Posted by: Skip at February 13, 2024 04:02 AM (fwDg9)

460 457, it is not the case anymore. One day I will unpack and look back at what happened, right now it’s just not in me. If I came off as looking for attention, I don’t think that was the case, it did happen.

I appreciate you asking about me. I’m doing OK. I know we all have our life challenges. Mine aren’t the only ones around. I do love this site and I’ve been dedicated to it for a long time. But I’d never went to a Mo Meet. I wanted to go, but I never did.

We all have our challenges I know that and we all know that. I will say that homelessness is about as bad as it can get. The reason for that is to reach that level you have to lose pretty much all the things that civilization provides as in family support systems, friends, etc. For all those who have experienced it they had to have many support systems trip up.

I am thinking of working with the homeless as a career, even though that is the farthest thing from what I would’ve thought of myself or thought I would want to do. I can understand because I experienced it. But I did work every day. I did go out there and try to be productive.

People have helped me because of my military service and I am very grateful for

Posted by: Quint at February 13, 2024 04:05 AM (cESVi)

461 I am not homeless, I work and have my own place. But for many months in 2023 that was not the case. I did stay in a hotel almost every night sans probably 20, I found a way to make money and work and pay for my board. I can’t and won’t explain why this happened here, but it was a one of lifetime thing. Before November of 2022. I never faced anything like this.

I don’t know if that is what I’m going to do with the rest of my career, but if I am affiliated with the homeless, I will at least be able to understand, even though most of them face much greater hardships than did I. No drugs or anything like that, I just ran out of cash real quick, and there were no places around to hold me up.

I know we bash government and NGO sometime, and for sure, the even are not perfect. But there were people there that helped me when I legit had no one else to turn to. I did work every day, doing deliveries and that saved my life. I paid for my own roof, even if it was just for one night, And it meant a lot in many ways.

Posted by: Quint at February 13, 2024 04:11 AM (cESVi)

I am still coming to grips with what happened to me and how I responded. I just posted something even a week ago I would never dreamed of posting. Maybe that is progress and a good thing. I do respect this site and the Cobbs and the posters. I’m sorry for bringing my drama in, but I’m OK, There are no worries here.

464 No problem IMO, Quint.

Besides, everyone else skedaddled to the tech thread. We're not "interrupting" or "threadjacking" anything.

Stronger every day...

466 462, I have thought about working in that area because I have very particular experience with it though for me when it happened it was the newest thing ever and would be as crazy if you, or anyone else faced it. It would not have been something I ever thought would happen to me, but it did.

I want to live in that world and think about it and talk about it every day? But I am thinking about it, because I know many that work with the homeless have never experienced it. They do the best they can but I actually relate to realizing you don’t have a place in this world where someone will say. Hey crash here tonight.

467 My best friend in HS ran away from home in the 70s, age 15. When she came back 2 months later, we had some very long talks. (once my parents allowed me to socialize with her again)

She needed someone to listen. Why she left. What she experienced. How she survived. The continuing problems once she came home...

I guess it doesn't compare to your situation, really, because it was her 'choice' but the day-to-day she spoke of was horrifying to me.

468 467, you are very kind JQ, and I do appreciate it.

I for sure did not run away, I was evicted because I ran out of money. Even though I cared for people better than me with melodies during my life, when it became my turn it wasn’t there. Again, I am legitimately not feeling sorry for myself. I’m just telling you honestly what happened.

There was a specific day, where I was no longer allowed to live in my home, and there was no plan whatsoever for the next day, no one had my back, and there was nowhere to go other than my vehicle. I stayed in my vehicle 20 days of the last 140 where I was actually homeless. The rest of the nights were in hotels but I had to come up with the rent or fair every night. There were no long-term deals. I had to check out every single night and trust me that is a chore.

I got enough people that were willing to help me as I helped myself. They didn’t give me anything I had to earn it first and then they would back me up, but I do respect the help. One person ever offered one night at their place not family friends or anyone else. If there’s only one negative thing, I learned about that it was that.

But again, I do live in my own place, I am OK,

470 I have the same challenges we all do. Sorry I went off and did a bit of a pity party, thank you JK and everyone else for listening to my diatribe and being so kind. Going forward I’ll be the normal quint talking about the Civil War booze and the French language. I just had to get some stuff off my chest, not related to this site, I love this site.

474 The David Lucas article has the best punchline. You're reading it paragraph by paragraph. It's only at the end, for people like me who never heard of David Lucas, there's a video. David Lucas is Black.
