Tiny Critters Cafe

cinqueterresummer.jpg
Cinque Terre, Italy

Tiny cow.

Kitty says, "I know what's mine."

Panda shenanigans.

Kids.

Cat takes the smoke alarm very seriously.

Pet jealousy is a real issue.

Dog welcomes the new kitten.

Puppies bother old cat.

Switzerland, but in the spring.

Definitely not the spring/summer energy I'm trying to bring with integrity, but a good click anyway.

Also not a sunny scene, but pretty good. (It's hard to find sunshine pics this time of year.)

Not sure where this is.

Bouncing down the stairs.

Baller.

Come on, you know this cat was faking the whole time:

I have no interest in telling anyone else where they should or shouldn't own property, just saying when it comes to picturesque landscape, building on it doesn't improve it.

I'm strictly talking about aesthetics. We have a lot of that out here in these parts of the country too.

That sort of happened here one winter. 1989 I think. We have a street that drops a hundred feet straight down toward the bay. The sewer pipe somehow froze or was otherwise blocked at the bottom over Christmas. The people in the lowest house came home after the holiday to find three feet of poop in their house from all the flushing uphill.

88 Beer break. Painted 3 sections of the under-counter space in the kitchen, second coat in some spots, and two full coats in the right-most section. Got the fascia board and 2 doors installed on the large section under the sink. Looks much better. Next section over is roughed in for a dishwasher, which I don't need, so I will build a rolling trolley to carry the kitchen trash can, and face it up with matching fauxk to match the doors. Far right side will be a cabinet with a single, wider door on it. And a shelf.

92 That sort of happened here one winter. 1989 I think. We have a street that drops a hundred feet straight down toward the bay. The sewer pipe somehow froze or was otherwise blocked at the bottom over Christmas. The people in the lowest house came home after the holiday to find three feet of poop in their house from all the flushing uphill.

It does. I have told the story that a plumber friend told me about having to go to the old Battlehouse Hotel in Mobile on Christmas day because they had a sewer pipe break in the basement. He and his brand new helper showed up and started to go down the stairs. He stopped halfway down and could see that the poop was going to be up to his waist. After a minute he told his helper 'Well, this is when we earn our pay.' Getting no response he turned around and the helper was gone, the tool box left on the landing.

I've heard (cannot confirm because all search engines suck and suppress any information contrary to the Junta narrative) that F. Joe Mugabe will not attend the arrival back here in the U.S. of the caskets & bodies of the three soldiers killed in the Jordan drone attack.

Trump should get permission -- from the families and the AFB -- to attend. I predict it would result in even more splodey-commie-talking-heads than usual!

Settlements around these parts are less than 200 years old, so not a lot of barbarian horde preventing battlements (there weren't a lot of Indian skirmishes around here, I don't think). My preference would have been to keep the houses away from some of the prettier parts of the landscrape. There's enough area in the flatter parts.

Women used to have a narrow choice between arranged marriage and/or hopefully a loving one with a successful husband.

The government is everybody's husband now, and you don't have to watch your weight or your looks.

There's a Netflux show called The Sinner, with Bill Pullman. Honestly, the gimmick of him being a bit of a perv is pointless, but there's a season with a couple murders using oleander tea. It's pretty well done, but you gotta get past Pullman being Pullman, and the silliness of his peccadillos.

Likewise, the main reason China stayed a backward, third world shithole as long as they did, their mail industry was a failure, when their postal workers spending hours and hours eating bamboo.

I think it would probably be perfectly fine to make mint-flavored Oreos that way nowadays. I saw an Oreo package recently and every cookie had less of the white cream filling than the cooling paste you generally see between CPUs and the cooling fans.

It's just a smeared suggestion, nothing more.

They can't do police procedurals or detective shows without making the lead eccentric in some outlandish way because they can't write worth a shit. Like magicians distracting from the trick, they need to occupy the audience's attention to keep them from realizing the mystery is dumb. Just like every villain has to be some galaxy-brained Lex Luthor figure, even if the plot is about shoplifting.

That's generally true, but this show isn't bad. It's pretty good at laying out its mystery, and the time it spends showing him getting stepped on by a fat chick is just pointless. There's no reason for it. None.

The other thing I find funny, when driving across country, you'll come across a town after driving past no human development for miles, and suddenly... everyone is living RIGHT ON TOP OF EACH OTHER.

You couldn't build your house, maybe 50 feet further away?

I don't get it.
