A viral YouTube video of a Texas man allegedly reaching speeds of 150 mph on a motorcycle has been taken down, but among its viewers was the Colorado State Patrol, which now wants to award the man criminal charges for his driving. Rendon Dietzmann, 32, of Justin, Texas, goes by Gixxer Brah on YouTube and posts videos from a camera mounted to his helmet while driving his motorcycle. A video titled "From Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 Minutes" appeared to show him traveling at high speeds while weaving in and out of traffic in September 2023. The video has since been taken down, but Colorado State Patrol announced this week that they've issued an arrest warrant, alleging Dietzmann violated several laws and put "hundreds of people in jeopardy." The drive typically takes about an hour on Interstate 25, which has a speed limit of 65 mph or 75 mph, depending on the exact location, an increase from 55 mph in 2014.

Yeah, the guy broke the speed limit, and it was dangerous for him and other drivers. Did he injure anyone? No? Speeding is an infraction that should only be ticketed at the time it took place. No coming later to arrest someone for breaking an infraction. Cops have vid of you running a stop sign, you speak out against some corrupt mayor, all of the sudden you're in jail. Don't think that could happen here, after the last few years?

The speed limits almost everywhere except the bug cities are set too low. Then the police derive some of their budget from ticketing people for driving at an objectively safe speed that is above the posted limit.
And we collectively pretend this is normal and ok.
We've had 70 years of improvements to cars since we built the interstates and yet the speed limits are often lower now then they were then...

It was really well done! A little embarrassed that I enjoyed it. I was impressed by the film's stylishness and pace. I think you can get a sense of a place you've never been to from watching such a movie.

It was carried by most grocery stores in New York and NJ. This goes back to when ice cream came in half gallon bricks, not to date myself or anything. Sealtest was our go to, unless Breyers was on sale...

I don't live in Jersey but I have been to a few Jersey Diners. Jersey Diners are well-known for a reason. The portions are absolutely stunning and ultimately incapacitating. I've been to lots of other diners in other states and they are mostly good thanks to a large menu. But I've never seen the size of portions served like I've seen in Jersey Diners.

It does. First year is tough, but the memories will soften around the edges after that. Make sure to pass any family history on to the generation after you, including gossip and scandals. Helps to humanize them and makes it more entertaining to your audience. You might even find yourself laughing as well..

And then, some complex "projects" here at the hacienda. I've bought all the parts and pieces to put up a 20 ft. heavy pole for an antenna farm.
Going up, will be OTA (over the air) TV antenna, a full weather station, an FM circular dipole antenna, a CB firestick, and just maybe, a HAM H.F. omnidirectional stick & radials, at the very top. I'm getting expert consultation from Duncanthrax on this, though his counsel has me "aiming lower" in terms of tech. But, I don't want to bring down the pole to install something later, that I'm kinda sure I'm going to NEED later, into the learning curve, of course.
Some welding, concrete work, guy wires and turnbuckles. Etc.

Hubby is very opposed to online meetup things, so I will respect his wishes. (Probably has to do with his XW having affair/leaving him for an online lover :roll
We can't afford trips and live in nowheresville.
He is not expected to have a 'normal' lifespan, so if the worst happens to him, before I wear out from caring for him... then I will make it to a MoMe somewhere

It is a bit of a drive. So is Texas. I know they've had NW MoMe (Oregon or Washington I think) but those are a long drive for you too. Western States are big.
