McConnell and Other Liberal Trash Traitor "Republicans" Are Pressuring Speaker Johnson to Accept Their "Deal" For Protecting Ukraine's Borders While Providing No Protection for America's

Scumbags, sellouts, grifters, foreign agents and criminals.

To hell with the "Biden Republicans."

President Biden and congressional leaders in both parties are ramping up pressure on Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) to accept an expected deal on Ukraine funding and border security, warning national security is at risk without action by Congress.

Security experts at a White House meeting Wednesday briefed Johnson and other leaders about the dire situation faced by Ukraine. Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines and White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan were among those in attendance.

The looming package also includes funding for Israel and the Indo-Pacific region, two other hot spots where U.S. concerns are rising.

Lawmakers say the intent was to highlight that Congress is running out of time to pass an emergency supplemental and that the primary intended audience was Johnson, who has pushed back against the emerging Senate border deal amid pressure from conservatives in his own conference.

The White House and congressional leaders, including Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), are stepping up their engagement with Johnson after he poured water on the border security talks over the weekend.

I can't wait until this monster is gone.

Johnson on Saturday posted a Fox News summary of the deal, which reported it would include an increase in green cards and allow up to 5,000 migrants a day into the United States.

"Absolutely not," Johnson wrote above the news graphic.

The Speaker then doubled down on his criticism Wednesday morning, telling reporters: "I don't think now is the time for comprehensive immigration reform, because we know how complicated that is."

He called for more time for the talks to play out, and made another pitch for H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, which the House passed in May without any Democratic votes.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), however, has called that bill a "non-starter" in the Senate.

Then fuck Ukraine. Let them die.

If you won't defend the US border, then let the Russians stage their own massive unchecked invasion across Ukraine's.

From the beginning, McConnell announced that the only thing that matters him is paying for the Deep State's proxy war in Ukraine, and that his commitment to border security was just a posture:

Here are the tools of the Uniparty announcing the Uniparty's Message of the Day:

In a negotiation, you can't just be willing to say you're willing to walk away from a deal and accept the consequences. You have to actually walk away and be comfortable with the consequences.

The Uniparty will absolutely not yield to us on border security.

The only thing they seem to care about are the oligarchs in Ukraine who are padding their retirement accounts.

So we have to be serious in saying: We are not only willing to give Ukraine entirely to the tender mercies of Putin, we kind of want to do that.

If McConnell and his buddy Biden will not protect America, then we absolutely must not spend another dime protecting Ukraine.

Period. That simple.

Let them die. I have pushed back against what I considered a pro-Russian kind of tilt on Ukraine, but now I'm here: Let the Ukrainians die.

My security is more important than theirs. Period. If McConnell is going to refuse to provide for my security for the 1000th time, then let all the Ukrainians die.

That's how serious we need to be.

He will either accept that Americans are more important than his foreign funders, or his foreign funders can all fucking die.

51 McConnell will never leave voluntarily. He's there for the duration of his life. The Sam Bankman-Fried scenario is an example as to why. Without the clout to shut down his involvement in benefiting from Fried's scheme, he's exposed. And considering his involvement in Chinese business opportunities (and how that ties into various parties on both sides of the aisle)...he needs to be able to wield power for protection. So, the only way he leaves is in a box. And, unfortunately, he gets better healthcare than most of us.

And, no, it is not a "Great Replacement."

None of them really have a concept of a nation state anymore but view the US as a resource to be plundered for the global and their own good. That is why America First is an anathema to them.

Property developers, the construction industry, the food processing plants, etc. all want cheap labor and our retailing establishment wants more easy profits from illegal immigration plus Black Rock etc. benefit from rising rents and demands for housing.

Literally the goal is population replacement on a large scale for the US as a divided country is easier to rule by pitting one group against another.

79 ace, since you...follow Disney, here is this (at the DM) :

"Activist investor Nelson Peltz has nominated himself and former Disney CFO Jay Rasulo to the board of the entertainment giant's directors, slamming CEO Bob Iger as 'underperforming.'

Peltz' firm Trian Fund Management, which owns about $2.5 billion worth of Disney shares, submitted the filing on Thursday, sparking a second proxy war in the company in just two years.

Speaking on CNBC on Thursday, Peltz said: 'This board- from Bob to every independent director, has underperformed the S&P on every measure....(here is the funny bit) ..They said I have no media experience — I don’t claim to have any... But I will tell you, I don’t think they have much media experience.' "

$60 billion? That was in the first fucking month, Rand!

It's more like closing in on $500 billion total, and will likely be over $1 trillion when all is said and done.

How much of that is being kicked back to our treasonous political caste? If only we had a free media and feral spending accountability ...

84 Almost 100,000 Americans died from drug overdoses in 2023. Most of that was from fentanyl coming across the open border and originating in Biden's benefactor country, China.

Our schools, social services, hospitals and communities have been overrun by illegal immigrants. Our tax money is being used to pay organizations like the Red Cross and other NGO's to facilitate this illegality and enrich people who are not even citizens. Meanwhile, our seniors, veterans and most needy get put to the back of the line.

Given that, do you really think most people give a shit about Ukraine, or shutting down the government in order to get the border secured and start removing illegal aliens, most of whom are now from countries hostile to America?

Go to hell, senate.

I'm sure they want to win legitimately. At the minimum, the column of the party that is the consultant class can't let it become a known reality that elections mean nothing. If it does, they lose their goose and its golden eggs.

Winning illegitimately is dangerous, and the inability to tamp down on the anti-establishment spirit of the American people has to be somewhat scary.

Essentially, they have the scorpion on their back.

Doesn't mean that they won't just ballot box stuff in the middle of the night across 8 states this time to get their win, though.

the point in saying it that way means that it negates the "Trump won't give us a good dead" now being broadcasted.

I believe that even the most "pro-Russian" of the people here merely pointed out that, in this conflict, Russia really isn't the bad guys. We made promises to Russia which we have violated many times over. Our intelligence services interfered in Ukrainian elections to install a "pro-Western" kleptocrat as opposed to a pro-Russian kleptocrat. The Ukrainian government has been killing ethnic Russians for a decade.

Despite all that... what most of us said was that it's not our fight. It's never been our fight. There is absolutely zero benefit to the US to stick our noses in this fight.

This is a common refrain by the border deniers. My suspicion has long been that secret “binding agreements” or some faggy treaty were made long ago, that nobody in government will ever admit to. Only thing that makes sense.

Similar conclusions can be inferred with respect to all the oh-so convenient “Wilderness” and “National Monument” declarations. Sometimes you’ll hear people suggest that the federal government should auction off its landholdings.

What makes you so sure they haven’t already? The world’s largest known oil, gas, timber, - and other valuable rare earth minerals make for dandy collateral. With $100 Trillion of liabilities, they gotta start pawning shit.

He will.

The Senate sent over a bill that is among the worst they *could* have sent. This was done on purpose. Johnson will reject it. The Senate will bitch. The Press will caterwaul for a while.

In a few weeks, the Senate will send over a new bill. The new bill will be nearly as bad, but provide a few "concessions" that are still worse than status quo but not as bad as in the rejected deal. Johnson then grudgingly assents and it moves forward. Both sides claim they won, both sides restate their bone-deep commitment to American security and everything gets worse.

This is how the show goes. American government is like a Hollywood movie: it just recycles the same story over and over and over again.

147 I’ll admit that I’m an economic illiterate but solely on the question of money for Ukraine or any government spending for that matter….. why do we even care? I mean it’s all funny money, Monopoly money at this point. It just roles off a printing press somewhere. I mean why do we even pay taxes anymore? The government doesn’t need our money as long as it can print more….. you’d think it wouldn’t work after awhile but all continues on for the last 50+ years since Nixon took us off the gold standard

152 He will.

185 There seems to be an unusual level of pushback on the senate. McConnell polls lower than anyone in Washington on either side. That's translating into people looking at their own senators and not giving them the pass they usually do. People have had it with Democrats and especially these phony Republicans.

186 As to the question of McConnell and Kentucky upthread, look no further than the sewer known as "Louisville." A town that has been under demoncrat occupation since 1968, there are just enough of "us" in the city along with the rest of the state to keep the demons from controlling the entire territory, while also getting and keeping snakes like McConnell elected.

Some of you may recall that both Trump and McConnell took the state with around 60%. The alternative to McCon was a commie (Amy McGrath) in disguise who attempted to use her status as a USMC vet to buffalo the people into voting for a 100% hard core leftist. Fortunately as it were, it didn't work.

As for Beshear, he is a buffoon who can be controlled by the Republican state legislatures super majority, similar to North Carolina. That he now thinks he has a "mandate" and can run for national office is amazing and testament to what a fool he truly is.

Graham regularly gets semi-competent primary challengers that manage to get within 20 points. He still wins, but it's nothing compared to Mitch winning by 76 points in 2022. 76 points in his primary. That's...huge.

Also, on the first general election ballot Tim Scott was also Graham's regular election. Graham got about a hundred thousand fewer votes than Scott. Graham's support is much softer than McConnell's. Though, again, I don't think Graham has too much to worry about.

And McCarthy tried to do the same thing with the House, but McCarthy was Speaker, not Majority Leader. It was a bad plan that didn't work.

McConnell, though, just needs support of a majority of Republicans to keep his grip on power, and that vote is always behind closed doors. If I remember the grumbling around the 2023 vote, there were efforts to make the final ballot unanimous for McConnell but the opposition refused.

286 From the beginning, McConnell announced that the only thing that matters him is paying for the Deep State's proxy war in Ukraine, and that his commitment to border security was just a posture:

I've asked this before. I'll ask it again.

Mitch McConnell went straight from graduating UofL Law into politics. He also was hit with polio light in his youth. So the hog jawed, shambling man you see today was never a virile lad - not even in his prime.

So how, exactly, did he pull Elaine Chao ? A woman who was good looking into her fifties, from a wealthy Taiwan family ? At what moment did Elaine look across the room and decide "That's the guy. I must have the limping dude from Kentucky who's never turned a day's hard labor in his life." ?

Has it ever occurred to anyone else that Mitch McConnell might be up to his ass in corruption, and compromised by his wife who may just also be his handler ?

An entire generation has already died and WE CAUSED THIS. We overthrew Ukraine's government. We pushed putting Ukraine in NATO, even though Putin was very clear that was his red line. We scuttled negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

Our taxpayers and their men have paid the price for all of this. I've read reports that the men in Ukraine who are not already dead are in hiding. They don't go out for fear of being snatched off the streets and pressed into service.

There was a video going around a couple of months ago where a bunch of middle aged, grim looking men were all in some sort of recruiting morale event where an attractive woman was playing up to the camera and the men all looked like they knew they were going to die.

Mitch and the rest of the uniparty did this.

In the case of biblical Israel, it's kinda easy to see the pattern, when men strayed from God, bad things tended to happen. So there were good times and bad times mixed in, accordingly.

341 Yeah, we haven't been re-electing McConnell because we LIKE him. We've been trying to contain Dems running that'd immediately have an AOC-level presence in the media if we DIDN'T.

I can't think, in the last twenty years, of a single candidate put up against Mitch McConnell that wasn't bat-shit crazy. The last one, Allison Grimes, ran a fantastic campaign for Boston or NYC. Unfortunately for her, the contest was held in Kentucky.

It's odd - the other Senate seat, currently held by Rand Paul - gets reasonable DNC challengers. They seem to find credible Governor candidates. But never Mitch's seat. It's almost ... collusion. But that could never be, of course. The UniParty is just a fever dream of us folks with a fetish for tin foil head wear.

You see, Populism has less to do with a form of government than how many people you have to make happy to keep in charge of running things.

The type of populism people actually fear is the one where the message is "I listen to you" and the reality is "If you make the wrong decision en masse, I will of course do what my close coterie of supporters think is best anyways"

It is the difference between, say, having a policy of letting the people who do the work make the decisions, and having a "buy-in" initiative run by HR.

This is dogma, pure and simple. And it really helps me to think of it in Religious terms. Truly faithful folk ignore cause and effect sometimes, because this world is simply an audition for the next one to them.

And that's what today's Liberal is. They, frankly, don't give a damn about cause and effect. They're doing what they do because - to them - it's simply "right".

I don't believe there is a master plan to destroy America - and it would be easier to deal with these bastards if a plan existed. Nope. They are doing all this, I am convinced, out of faith. Reparations is the payoff that will make it OK that dems ejected blacks from the top of the grievance hierarchy in favor of illegals.

408 "Also some politician in IIRC NY gave the short-term game away and outright said "I need more illegals for my House district"

Thats likely less for pure votes, and more to make sure the district remains where it is as we don't count population by *citizens* just by residents. New York is in danger of losing some House seats due to a massive outflow of residents. If we counted citizens and only citizens mattered for maintaining house seats the entire make up of the House of Representatives would shift a bit.

You aren't wrong. But the majority of the 'right think' of the Progressive Left comes from Soviet propaganda. We won the Cold War.

But the Soviets long plan kept running without anyone at the helm. And it works. Its not a big conspiracy. Its a destruction of moral fabric, and culture.

That, was the plan. It came to fruition decades after the people that created it died and went off to hell and their own country collapsed

The people who are driving the bus now aren't secret soviet spies or something, they're just people who have been taught a lie, have turned it into dogma.

Well, we sure did make things harder for Russia, but what we really accomplished was massive amounts of Ukrainian blood to be spilled.

And Russia isn't even remotely close to getting tired of winning. They have hundreds of thousands of military men they could send if, if they wanted to. Which they don't. Their economy is booming. They have all the weapons and ammo they could possibly need (we don't, by the way).

I agree that the 17th amendment was a mistake and contributed to the diminution of states rights.

But "direct democracy" would involve things like national referendums for policy decisions, such as Athens employed.

No, populism is only now rising in the sense that in the past, people elected representative on general values and philosophy, and expected said representatives to use their discretion in representing the interests of their constituents. That is no longer the case, because nobody trusts any politician, due to corruption and incompetence, to represent them any longer. Trump is a symptom of this lack of trust, and he won't be the last.

But no one noticed Bugs Bunny bent all the barrels of their guns, so they're pointed back at them.

471 Forgot to add - illegal immigration is the most glaringly obvious area where this is the case. As has been said on here - there is literally zero incentive for anyone, left or right, to support illegal immigration. And yet here we are. Trump understood this, and this issue is the reason for his political existence.

But instead they tanked EVERYTHING.

Actually the Federalist Papers are quite sanguine about tyranny.

Often they resort to the comparison that abuses of the Constitutional system are no worse than abuses of a more traditional system.

The President is supposed to be a more limited king, and the Congress is supposed to have more power than Parliament to check the king, but not all the power Parliament had, which Madison deferred to a third body (which Jay admits was a bit of an afterthought) the Supreme Court to decide disputes over the wording of laws.

Can the President abuse his powers? They would say yes. But he is to be checked by both Congress formally, and the Supreme Court for violating terms that bind him.

In fact, unlike the squeamish of today who think that it should somehow be a rule that disqualifies the President for using the military to carry about assassinations of political foes, Impeachment is the check.

Yup. It's actually why I have hope. Because I'd be terrified if this current collection of ass-holes could keep an economy somewhat working. Because then, they'd have time on their side and could do whatever they wanted.

But they can't. So shit is going to get worse, which is necessary for shit to then get better. I don't know how long it will take, but I'm certain of this; some people will only endure so much, and the rest will follow the strong horse.

Yes, its the end of Classical Liberalism, and it's probably the end of republican government. I'm OK with both.

That is why Conservatism is a failed ideology. When you can claim the policy of invade the world, invite the world as conservative, it literally has no meaning. Conservatism as a behavior is decorum not policy.

What has been little reported is that the House GOP and the Senate Uniparty have coalesced around agreements to a) restore tax breaks to bizness, and b) boost the child tax credit (and make it welfare to non tax payers).

This is an example of the uniparty in action--the GOP takes care of bizness and the Dems take care of their voters by subsidies. No one cares that the tab will simply be charged to the national debt credit card.

That is the reason I think that the system will collapse because the encrusted interest groups, like in the late Bourbon years of France (1760 or so to the French Revolution), simply are overwhelming any way to correct the fiscal situation. Our government (and most of the West) is simply drowning in debt which is also killing off the future. Native childbirths inevitably decline during harsh economic conditions.
