Ramaswamy shot back that the FBI conspicuously has never denied that law enforcement agents were on duty in the crowd. He argued that federal officials have repeatedly “lied” to the American people about not only that investigation but one that has gotten much less attention: the alleged failed plot to kidnap and kill Democratic Gov. In the last two days, my true love sent to me -- along with yet another sixteen cows and milkmaids, plus more swans, geese, calling birds, French hens, turtle doves, and two more partridges in pear trees -- eighteen ladies dancing and ten leaping lords! Ten more gold rings isn't going to cover my expenses. The dancing ladies aren't getting along with the milkmaids, the lords keep hitting on the ladies, and even though there's no music, they won't stop dancing and leaping!

That whole Stanley thing is stupid. They keep calling it a "tumbler" that he got her. He did NOT. He got her a Samuel L Jackson THERMOS. I can't even abide someone trying to get moralistic ("Typically, I would sympathize with the gift receiver's pain in this situation.") when they can't even use the right descriptive words for things.
As to the "error" in gift giving? Maybe if she had specified a "tumbler" I could have some sympathy. But she asked for a "big Stanley" and I will bet (without reading further) that thermos is called a "Big Stanley." She's lucky she got a liquid container at all. He could have just tied a bow around his hoo-hah and slapped her in the face with it. "Here's your big Stanley, baby!" Posted by: GWB at January 03, 2024 10:18 PM (sSx7k) 80

What law will be passed to stop this senseless killing? It really doesn't matter as there were several laws broken leading up to the murder. Until our society reverts back to teaching right from wrong and instilling discipline this will continue.
Whenever there is some newsworthy murder like this the left goes nuts demanding that we ban guns "if it saves even one life!" and if you don't go along with them you are complicit in the murder. But...we've had "readily available guns" since the founding. And these outrages are a recent thing. In fact these outrages trace DIRECTLY to the leftwing changes of our culture. So you know what? If you don't want to *end* feminism and gay rights and all the rest of this crap YOU are complicit in these murders. It will save a whole lot more then "one life". So we need more then hope and prayers leftist assholes...we need action on rolling back all the crap you've created over the last 60 years. Posted by: 18-1 at January 03, 2024 10:18 PM (XqcwY) 84

“It was entrapment,” Ramaswamy said. “FBI agents putting them up to a kidnapping plot that we were told was true but wasn’t.”
The left claims what all the violence of the leftwing movements of the 60s were actually the FBI either egging on people to engage in violence if not actually doing it themselves as part of CONTELPRO But these same people tell us the notion that the FBI is engaging in entrapment or doing these things through federal assets NOW is insane conspiracy theorizing. It really doesn't matter as there were several laws broken leading up to the murder
"The 10-year-old suspect went to his father's car to get cigarettes for him and saw the gun inside. The boy allegedly "bragged that his father had a gun," shot the 10-year-old victim once, and fled into his apartment. Detectives reportedly located the firearm in a trash can nearby and alleged Davis tried to get rid of it. The gun was stolen in 2017. Davis, the suspect's father, was reportedly not allowed to own a gun." Prediction: the father, felon-in-possession of a stolen gun, will be found guilty of child endangerment because the 10-year old-shooter had access to his cigarettes. The shooter will be sent to a nicotine rehab center and will be released on his 18th birthday, unless he comes out as trans in which case he will be immediately released and the family of the dead 10-year-old will have to pay for the rehab. Ya know, if a woman doesn't want to be disappointed in the Christmas gift her husband gets her, she needs to put the EXACT item that she wants on an Amazon wish list in her name, or buy exactly what she wants, hand it to her husband with a nice box and wrapping paper and ask him to wrap it up for her.
We have been doing that in our household for a LONG time, and EVERYONE is happy on Christmas morning - kids get what they want, Mom and Dad get what they want, and if you are pressed for time and/or half a country away, most places are more than happy to gift wrap the present before they ship it. RFK, Jr today qualified to appear on a state ballot-- the FIRST state where he's accomplished that-- UT. UT only requires 1k voters to sign a candidate's nomination petitions to get him/her on the ballot.
So WHAT, you may be asking? There are 50 states (duh), and UT is one of the easiest states to qualify for the ballot. AFAIK, RFK, Jr does not have big donors who are willing to finance an army of paid petition circulators. Political parties do this for their own candidates. RFK, Jr. doesn't have a political party, either-- not even a Green Party. So, 17% (or so) of all voters plan to vote for RFK, Jr., or so they're telling pollsters. But in the vast majority of states, they're very unlikely to ever have the chance. This is something to bear in mind when you read all those "3-way" polls. That 17% who say they're for RFK, Jr. ? They're up for grabs. They just don't know it yet. This kind of puts Trump's 2-3 point lead in perspective. Posted by: mnw at January 03, 2024 11:32 PM (NLIak) 246

Re Doors...my curiosity is based on that even the most pro
Morrison fan stuff admits he sang lyrics at the rest of them and they figured out the arrangement. Several of the biggest hits were written by Krieger. Morrison had a look and an image and odd lyrics..the rest of them did two further albums and they basically came out like CCR without Fogerty. Before Jim croaked they had an artistic AND commercial string of success in several different variations. Why did they suddenly lose that ability completely? Weird. Also a water tanker with a large pump. Staged, and on call. Car fire happens, the flatbed and tanker head to the scene, Forklift offloads, picks up burning car, and drops it into bin. Tanker starts water flowing. When the car is fully submerged, pumps get shut off, forklift is stowed, and flatbed departs, traveling slowly with tanker following. I spent a pleasant vacation weekend in Bay City a couple of years ago, where Madonna Ciccone is 'from.' I'd planned a turn up the U.P., but their governor had the state throttled down, so we left an event at Edsel Ford House on Lake Saint Clair and just motored around the thumb, hit a lot of old time tourist bar and grilles at the end of the season, and spent the night in Bay City to tour USS Edson. Not a bad town for a day trip; hotel decent and cheap, old-school restaurants, not a big city deal. I liked it.
