If the UN and Resident of The White House, MushHead, had their way Israel would have the same problem over and over again. Israel tells both to go and pound sand.

Netanyahu’s declaration comes as the U.S. and U.N. have been pressuring Israel to allow the PA to take over the region.

Israel has no intention of handing Gaza over to the Palestinian Authority once the war is over, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday night as he rebuffed United States pressure to do so.

“The Palestinian Authority in its current form is not able to take responsibly for Gaza,” Netanyahu said.

‘After we fought and did all this, how could we hand it over to them?” Netanyahu asked.

The world's largest single site solar farm has go online.

The world’s largest single-site solar farm just came online

The United Arab Emirates has launched the Al Dhafra solar farm – now the world’s largest single-site solar farm – ahead of COP28.

The 2-gigawatt (GW) solar farm is 22 miles (35 km) from Abu Dhabi and features almost 4 million bifacial solar panels. It will power nearly 200,000 homes and eliminate over 2.4 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

Recruiting for our armed forces goes to an unlikely event.

Anime NYC is currently happening in Manhattan’s Javits Center. Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the three-day anime and general nerdy convention between Nov. 17-19. Some of those people are with the U.S. military.

At least two branches of the armed forces are at Anime NYC. Not to sit in on any panels, watch screenings of new anime films or pick up some Gundam model kits — well, not explicitly anyway — but to recruit. The U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps both have booths at the convention.

The King has yet to invite the Sussexes to the UK for Christmas, reports said

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to spend Christmas with their children in the UK alongside the King, but he is yet to invite them, according to a friend of the couple.

Harry and Meghan last spent Christmas at Sandringham, the King's Norfolk residence, in 2018, before Princess Lilibet, two, was born and when Prince Archie, four, was still a baby. But despite the reported rift amongst The Firm, the pair want to bring their brood home for Christmas with King Charles, according to the Times.

So a niche film wasn't a profitable adventure. Go figure.

OF COURSE, THE DIRECTOR OF DISNEY'S "THE MARVELS" IS BLAMING HER MOVIE TANKING ON YOU BEING A SEXIST BIGOT

Disney's all-girl comicbook flick The Marvels has tanked at the box office. There are any number of reasons why this is so, but if you ask the director of the movie, the key reason why is YOU. You're too much of a sexist bigot to enjoy her movie. As we've seen since the Girl Ghostbuster movie that bombed so badly, it tanked the franchise -- the Girl Ghostbusters franchise, the real Ghostbusters are still solid -- it's never the fault of the movie looking stupid.

Which The Marvels did. And I say this as someone who enjoyed the Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel graphic novels, both written by raging leftists I'm sure don't appreciate being mentioned on the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website.

I own 20 volt leaf blower. I still want a gas one. (Don't you just love the smell of 2 cycle oil & gas burning?) The following story leads me to believe that some people just need to go and live off grid for a year before they spout off about how you or I should live.

Every Thursday our next-door neighbor hires a worker to use a leaf blower. This infernal machine drives me nuts. Rather than letting a pet peeve render me literally insane, I’ve decided to explore the leaf blower’s deeper significance. A psychologist might call this writing therapy. Maybe the result can also provide a little relief for you, the reader, if you share my irritation.

The most obvious critique of the leaf blower is that it’s an obnoxious, destructive piece of machinery. As everyone within earshot of one knows, gasoline-powered leaf blowers are noisy. Deafening, in fact. The device blasts 95 to 115 decibels of sound at its operator. According to the website Dangerous Decibels, this is roughly equivalent to a chainsaw or a passenger jet taking off, and it can cause permanent hearing loss. Further, research into the specific characteristics of sound from gas-powered leaf blowers, published in the Journal of Environmental and Toxicological Studies, showed that, unlike most other loud machines, leaf blowers produce low-frequency noise that travels long distances and penetrates building walls. That’s why a single leaf blower can annoy an entire neighborhood.

Oh I bet he's a blast at parties.

Roller coasters at amusement parks can be a big draw. Does one want to go to Saudi Arabia to ride the world's fastest and tallest roller coaster. I for one will not.

ADRENALINE junkies could be in for a treat as the world's tallest and fastest rollercoaster is set to be build in Saudi Arabia.

Falcon’s Flight is set to open at Six Flags Qiddiya next year, and promises to reach a 156mph top speed and drop over a desert cliff.

So what charges those wonderful E bikes?

280 million e-bikes are slashing oil demand far more than electric vehicles
E-bikes and scooters displace 4x as much demand for oil as all of the EVs in the world.

We hop in the car to get groceries or drop kids at school. But while the car is convenient, these short trips add up in terms of emissions, pollution, and petrol cost.

Close to half (44 percent) of all Australian commuter trips are by car—and under 10 km. Of Perth’s 4.2 million daily car trips, 2.8 are for distances of less than 2 km.

Police, to serve and protect. Even if you are a Genius Award Winner.

Do not call the police to report that someone stole your drugs, especially if your name is on a pair of outstanding arrest warrants.

Cops were dispatched around 2:00 AM yesterday to a Best Western in Stuart, Florida “in reference to a theft.”

Upon arriving at the hotel, an officer spoke with Lily Rinker, 23, who had called 911 to report that a male friend she met last week “stole her marijuana.”

Rinker explained that she had $30 worth of pot in her grinder, but after “Carlos” departed the room, she noticed about half-a-gram was missing from her stash. “Rinker stated she did not know what to do so she decided to call the police,” according to a probable cause affidavit.

34 At first I had sympathy for The Marvels director Nia DaCosta. She was given a project for which she was utterly unqualified, having been hired only for her skin color and gender. To the extent she had any artistic vision for the film, it was completely crushed since she soon learned that she was expected to be nothing more than Feige's errand chick. What a horrible sad predicament for someone who imagined she would build on a (deservedly) modest reputation as a director and expand her capabilities.

Then she had to go and blame racism and misogyny for the film's self-destruction at the box office.

Fuck.

Her.

42 Oh I bet he's a blast at parties.
And he's still right in what's quoted. Leaf blowers are some of the laziest bad ideas around, and that they are obnoxious makes it even worse. In most case they are being used for something that should use a broom, at most. (They only get used for blowing leaves about 2 weeks out of the year. The rest of the time is blowing small amounts of cut grass off of sidewalks.)

Now, if you used them as a vacuum for the leaves, that might be different. But they really are rather pointless in doing what they do.

Go ahead, hate me. I don't care.

In the game Hitman, you might have a long conversation with an oblivious target. In almost every chapter, the player is on the edge thinking that he will miss his window. In almost every case, if the player keeps his cool, the target opens up rather than closes. ("Oh geez I dropped a quarter over this railing...")

It seemed like The Killer took this element and turned it on its head. Where the target is painfully aware and fearful, but can't help but continue to chatter on.

My biggest objection to leaf blowers is that they make a racket, and consume expensive fuel for what, exactly? They just blow leaves into windrows, and you still have to pick them up somehow. Why not use the same motor and a similar impeller to build a leaf vacuum, and suck the leaves up off the ground, chop and bag them all in one fell swoop?

Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon at November 19, 2023 10:34 PM (1R4jZ)

I have a B&D corded electric one that's reversible, so it both sucks and blows. On the "Suck" setting it chops the leaves and discharges the debris into an attached bag. A minor problem is that the bag is too small and needs to be emptied often, otherwise, it works pretty well.

They ALL denude the soil they blow upon of microbes that are just in the cusp of growing bacteria which causes breakdowns of various nutrients that replenish the soil and make it fertile for growing plants (and weeds) and trees....AND FOOD!!! I'm no tree hugger, but try and grow a crop or two in your own back yard that has been assualted by these machines on a regular basis and I would bet you get "SQUAT" in production unless you dump money (that you don't have) in replenishment with bagged soil and and other store bought "Super Duper" spray on biological additives to make anything grow.

The amount of leaves that we get in my area have to be picked up by a bigger machine than a leaf blower. The mower that they use to pick up the leaves from the lawn is too big to deal with the leaves at the edges, in the bushes, and right next to the house. So they use a leaf blower to blow the leaves onto the lawn, then the mower picks them up or mulches them. Right now I don't think there is a machine that can do both. We have oak trees in my neighborhood. And I pay someone to do my leaves. I don't want to pay someone for the hours, and hours, and hours of work that it would take to do my leaves by hand. God bless machines.

229 There is a crew like Nerdygirl describes in my neighborhood of all mature trees. They use 6-7 Vietnamese guys that are all 5' nothing to get into all of the crevices of the yard with leaf blowers. There is then one guy driving the lawn vacuum mower to mulch and suck up the piles they create.

They dump all of the leaf mulch into a trailer with 6' tall sides. They make a hell of a racket, but when they drive away, the yard is pristine.

I make a dump truck load of garden soil every year.

Not just "nope", but NO!

Israel can't even hint at (much less joke about) anything resembling Palicide, or annihilation. Of all Nations on the planet, THEY cannot afford to be even remotely associated with such an idea.

And frankly, neither can AoS. Don't bring heat on the ACE!

My idea, though somewhat wryly intended, would actually be a justified, humanitarian solution to an inhuman tribe of people. They can't be fixed, they won't be changed, their risk cannot be abated.

The only thing TO do then, is isolate them to a degree where they're essentially "immobile" in relation to the rest of the world.

Honestly, I know you were joking, as well. But AOS has scads of hostile eyes reading each and every word on these here pages. Don't give 'em words as ammo.

And this is a generational thing. It will take that long to grow a new batch of Palis who can recognize there is a better way. The Palis rebuild Gaza, under the watchful direction of Israel. Absolute adherence to the law. Elimination of any reference to Hamas. Lifetime jail for those who fail to comply. Death to all who took part in the attack on 10/7, and any who raise arms against Israel. As I have said in the past, this is total war. It only ends with unconditional surrender. And I am willing to bet Israel has a group of Pali government folks they have vetted and who will form the new limited administration.

301 I'd like to rig a chain saw starter with my electric drill.
Posted by: Braenyard

iirc, Oregon makes a pretty good sized electric chain saw. If you only have yard work to accomplish and don't need to go into the woods, it may be for you.
Posted by: Tonypete

I have an 18 inch Oregon electric chainsaw, and a pretty long heavy duty cord, to cut up trees, logs, etc in the woods in the back of my property.

There is an attachment you can buy at Harbor Freight that can go on a circular saw that converts it to a chain saw.
I have a gas powered Homelite chainsaw, and it is, of course, a two-cycle, and runs on gas with oil in it. It's a pain in the ass, unless you use it all the time.
The electric chain saw can sit on the shelf for months, and then plug it in (bar chain oil added) and it works fine.

304 Solar advocates almost always lie about the economics. If it were really "cheaper", there wouldn't be any need to force it. Utilities would build it voluntarily.

The lie usually takes two forms:

1) Assuming that 1 watt of nameplate capacity is the same for conventional and solar. This is not true, since solar, at a minimum, is offline 50% of the time (there's this thing called "night", yo). So from jump street you need at least 2x the nameplate capacity.

2) Because solar is unreliable, you also need a massively expensive and environmentally nasty storage system.

I found a way to change it back, by completely disabling the new interface and going back to the old.

This would be like Ford or somebody suddenly deciding that the gas pedal should be on the left, operated by the left foot, and the brake and/or clutch should go on the right.
