NBC Propaganda Network Contemplates the Unthinkable: Did Our Partners In Peace (TM) in Iran Train and Arm the Hamas "Militants"?

As I saw someone point out on the Twitterz, Hamas surely did not train on hang-gliders in Gaza.

No, that training must have taken place somewhere far away from Israel. Somewhere Israel wouldn't even bother pointing a satellite camera at. Somewhere like a high hilly desert in Iran.

Spending the $6 billion Biden gave our Partners in Peace (TM) for a Fiery But Mostly Peaceful terrorist training camp.

The NBC Propaganda Network wonders if it's conceivable that Hamas' chief sponsor and paymaster, Iran, could have possibly been involved with training the terrorists -- whoops, I mean "militants" -- that Iran has been provably training for decades.

The US had known Hamas to be a client and proxy for the mullahs in Tehran for decades. Hamas even routinely brags about the support they get from Iran. They have relied on Iranian arms and munitions for their constant rocket attacks on Israel ever since the Israeli occupation of Gaza ended in 2005, an arms stream that forced Israel to put a policy of containment in place.

So why investigate whether Iran's revolutionary guard (IRGC) trained Hamas "militants," as NBC News calls the barbaric terrorists? There may be a reason to "investigate" the obvious:

American officials are investigating whether some of the Hamas militants who carried out an unprecedented attack on Israel received advanced training from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to current and former U.S. officials.
They are also examining whether Hamas used recent Palestinian protests along the Gaza border fence as cover to place explosives that were later used to breach the Israeli barrier. The advanced training and placement of explosives, if confirmed, would be the latest example of decades of support that Iran has provided to Hamas.
The attack, which was far more sophisticated than past Hamas operations, would not have been possible without the decades of funding, weapons and training Iran has supplied to the militant group, current and former U.S. officials say.
This seems like a strange task to start after both Joe Biden's nat-sec advisor Jake Sullivan already declared Iran "complicit" in the disgusting barbarities of Hamas. Sullivan said yesterday that Iran was "complicit in a broad sense" in part because "they've provided training, they have provided capabilities, they have provided support" to Hamas, as well as "the lion's share of funding" for its military wing. The State Department followed up by noting that Hamas couldn't have been "a fraction of the group that it is" without full Iranian support in all phases of its operations.

America can no longer tolerate an insurrectionist, Iran-aligned terrorist front-group Fifth Column in the media. Something will have to be done.

The left wants to end the right to free speech...? Well I'm inclined now to agree.

Biden's administration has been opening up relations, easing up on sanctions, and giving them cash since they came into office 3 years ago. The $6 billion was just the most recent and biggest example.

I'm not implying that Iran didn't get help from the Biden administration financially that allowed them to expand terrorist opportunities around the world, including through Hamas. Just that the $6 billion itself, while the news was timed perfectly to make the connection, probably wasn't used to fund this particular operation when was probably funded months before the prison swap.

Seems obvious that IDF is flying CAP in that area. A paraglider attack seems unlikely, given how easy they would be to splash with a bit of cannon fire from a fighter. I'm betting on drones from Lebanon, but who really knows yet? Maybe it could be paragliders if they kept it to a very short hop just to get across the border.

True, but the time period mentioned here is, I think, dishonest. The American Left has had a love affair with Iran since the Shah was thrown out, but that is less relevant for what is happening today.

You needn't go back decades. You needn't go back a single decade, just to late 2015. The JCPOA - the "Iran Nuclear Deal" - that Obama "negotiated" is the start of this in reality. It gave the Iranians great big gobs of cash, alleviated the pressure from sanctions, helped move that country out of "pariah" status and reopened forward cash flows.

It was that - the JCPOA and its pallets of money - that energized this. Trump rolled back the JCPOA and re-sanction Iran and was isolating that country and depriving it of money and earned a respite - but now Biden (the same old Kalorama Crew) went hard at the same things his old boss did.

Take Barney the Dinosaur. For anyone over the age of its intended audience, it was eye-gougingly bad. But little kids loved it.

But Xcrement’s argument doesn't work when even the intended audience thinks the show sucks donkey balls. Which I can almost guarantee is what's going on here. I'm sure Robyn Hood is a flop that nobody likes. That's why he's so obsessed with "ratings" and so defensive about criticism.

Oh, and I also question Xcrement’s understanding of his target audience. That rap scene was so awful and dated cheesy 90s that there’s no way any contemporary teenager would think it’s cool. Just the opposite.

You would've thought that if a monitoring tower or observation post went dark, that would be an indication of something wrong. Even I would have thought of that. In engineering, they go through failure analyses to see what could fail and how. Losing communication is one of them. Having Redundancy and feedback helps reduce risk.

There is no indication at the moment (that I am aware of) that Iron Dome was "hacked" or "brought down" as such. Iron Dome was apparently overwhelmed by the initial barrage. There are only so many interceptors and while the system works spectacularly well, it is not magic. It has to have ordnance it can fire to take down incoming missiles, and it has to be made ready and loaded.

The initial barrage was *huge* and consisted of thousands of missiles fired over a very brief period of time. If Iron Dome can handle, say, 500 targets before rearming (I have no idea - it's just a "what if" for the purpose of speculation) and Hamas sends 2,000 rockets at it, 1,500 of those rockets - minimum - are going to get through.

The vast majority are Qassam rockets. They're crude home-brew, unguided rockets that are literally made out of sewer pipes, with sheet-steel fins welded on, using sugar and potassium permanganate as propellant, and an impact fuse made from an AK round and a nail. The only machined part in the whole thing is the exhaust nozzle for the engine. You can easily make them in any local auto mechanic's shop.

Qasam rockets are shit. You can build them in your garage if you have some automotive machine tools. A length of pipe with some fins welded onto it, filled with simple propellants and can be triggered with an AK round. The only remotely complicated part of one - and it isn't very complicated - is the nozzle welded onto the rear of it.

They make Katyusha rockets look like super advanced alien technology. They have neither much range nor any guidance and are generally unreliable. But, like Katyushas, they're dirt cheap and easy to manufacture and so you can throw a whole hell of a lot of them in the general direction of the target if you want to and don't much care about missing.

Whether or not Scalise has better motives than McCarthy seems irrelevant. Scalise at least has the example that there are people like Gaetz in a position to knock him down if he promises but doesn't deliver, and that the dems won't save him because of "muh collegiality" or whatever. That means there's a chance he'll be more inclined to actually deliver for us, out of his own self interest. Is that a huge chance? Eh, probably not, but it's not nothing.

Another Charlie trick was to bury an 82mm mortar tube outside of a US base, fire off a few rounds to crudely register it, and then cover the muzzle with a rock and run off. Most of the time the counterbattery fire and patrols would miss the mortar.

Then every few days Charlie hiked in with just a few HE rounds, quickly swabbed the tube and popped off a few rounds before rolling the rock back over the muzzle and running off again. Rinse and repeat.

Damned effective for harassing fire on a fixed position.

If you rely on auto-correct to get your document spelled right, then you get a misspelled document that passes a simple test. Same thing if you rely solely on an expert program to sort incoming elint intercepts then you will miss stuff.
