Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Partisan Special Counsel Brings More Charges Against Trump, While the Special Counsel Investigating Joe and Hunter Biden Brings No Charges, Because He Does Not ExistThe Biden Special Prosecutor doesn't exist -- like antifa, he's more just an "idea." Maybe the non-existent Biden Special Prosecutor can investigate the non-existent terrorist group antifa. But in the meantime, Trump is not getting the benefit of the Hillary Clinton Standard. So now comes my least favorite phase of every new Trump indictment, the ranting by Trump's more passionate defenders that Ron DeSantis isn't doing enough to defend the man who slurs him as a pedophile and homosexual!! His statements aren't STRONG enough in swearing for the honor of a man who smears him dishonorably!!! and that Trump's legal problems -- almost all of which are self-inflicted-- are a reason to elect him president to fuck up all over the place some more, rather than a reason to elect a strong president who will pardon Trump and let him live peacefully and free as a private citizen. Every one of Trump's problems gets weaponized against DeSantis, and then people wonder -- Gee, why aren't DeSantis' supporters more interested in talking about Trump's problems? Tell you what: If Trump issues a STRONG statement clearing him from the previous lies that DeSantis is a pedophile, gay, cheats on his wife, killed more people with Covid than Democrat governors Newsom or Cuomo, then I'll join you in your calls for STRONG statements clearing Trump of crimes which, let's face it, he probably did commit. The argument is really about selective prosecution of crimes that The Regime has previously not charged prominent Democrats for, not for Trump's actual innocence. And as the DOJ was bringing more charges against Trump, it was also dropping all campaign corruption charges against the second-biggest donor to the Democrat Party in 2020.

"Obstruction" is the biggest bullshit phony crime there ever was. I can't believe it's constitutional. Not only is "obstruction" unreasonably vague and can mean anything, it makes no sense as a crime. Why can't a private citizen obstruct an investigation against him? Fuck the government. Force them to prove their case. How can it be illegal to try to make it hard to prove their case? Especially when the feds are trying to railroad you, are you supposed to get on your knees and pull a Kamala? Fuck that. You better believe a rational man would be trying to obstruct the railroading.

Even from the lefty papers it looks like all these indictments of Trump are basically based completely on disgruntled former staffers going "yeah i saw him do this" and nothing more. And im sure those staffers aren't at trying to sell books or get jobs with lefty media outlets.
It's one of the biggest shams with government indictments, that whoever benefits the government, is considered to be 100% telling the truth, even without corroboration. Just by agreeing with the government you're considered the peak of truth. Now anyone who claims otherwise to the flimsy government witness, are automatically considered liars and will be charged with perjury or obstruction. The ice on this cake is they're using new charges of Trump showing reporters supposedly classified material (stuff that the same media and politicans cheered when Schiff and others did it against Trump) to take ther spotlight of Joe and Hunter most likely selling China classified material. Problem is that Trump can't stop talking a bout himself. I don;t blame him. He is under attack but attacking DeSantis is not winning over anybody.
I have only seen DeSantis talking about issues. What he would do as President. He has not attacked Trump. When asked tough questions, he actually answers with what he would do. I want to see them on the debate stage talking about issues and how to address them. Until then I reserve judgment. If Trump refuses to debate, that will be a clear indication that he is just looking for revenge for what is being done to him and not what is in the best iinterest of the country. Fair enough. My support for DeSantis hinges on what I see as a hard ceiling of about 230 electoral votes for Trump. He energizes the opposition to an amazing degree. DeSantis also faces an uphill battle, but I think he is slightly less of a lightning rod for every leftist fever dream.
Posted by: CharlieBrown'sDildo at July 28, 2023 12:29 PM (PHmov) Two things I think about reading this. First, who is telling you the opposition is energized? In the history of elections hate has not generated votes against nearly to the degree of gaining votes due to candidate quality. Until 2020. I'm assuming we are in agreement that the Basement campaign by Biden wasn't what would be described as "high quality". This also corresponds to unregulated mail in voting to a level never before seen. Second, DeSantis doesn't get the "level" from what I will call the media (including social media) because outside of plugged in to politics folks he's not known that well. Make him the nominee, I'd expect it to change quickly. Posted by: Inogame at July 28, 2023 12:39 PM (53oGX) 262

I've heard a similar line of thought from other DeSantis supporters. I don't agree but it's fair. What I don't get is why DeSantis supporters seem to think he would do better. New poll out of Ohio today shows him now in 3rd place behind Trump and Ramaswamy. Since his campaign launch he has not caught fire as predicted and is actually sinking in the polls. I don't get how that means he is a more viable general election candidate when he is failing and galvanizing the base. I'm a Trump supporter but not as hard core as some. Trump brought a lot of new voters into the mix which always seems to get overlooked and there is no guarantee they are going to flip to DeSantis and no matter who is the nominee the left will do a seek and destroy mission tailored to them. The next president will not be anyone other than someone the current junta deems for to be president. Nothing is won by pretending we still live in a functioning country, or by shitting on each other over which celebrity we want to win a meaningless popularity contest.
Focus efforts on convincing the general rabble that their government is an illusion, through humor, through culture, through laughing at the poor fools who play along with the farce, whatever, and let Historical Materialism work its magic. The strong always eventually lose their strength, one way or another. Settle in for some rough, bitter times ahead though, because we're not voting our way out of this. Stevenson discussed his divorce (snip) “Frankie Biden of the Biden crime family comes up to me and he goes, ‘Give her the house or you’re going to have serious problems.’ I looked at Frankie and I said, ‘Are you threatening me?’ and needless to say, about two months later, my brother and I were indicted for that tax charge for $8,200.” (snip) “I was on the wrong side of them, and they have literally come after me for 35 years in a row." Trump's an outsider in the political sphere. That's one reason the administrative state wants him gone.
The more significant reason, to use a turn of phrase, is that he 'knows where all the bodies are buried.' His answer to that question was less firm than DeSantis's answers to his support of Trump in light of his charges. Yet DeSantis didn't encourage Trump to do any of the things he's charged with (and Trump did encourage the J6 protestors to be there). Trump is FAR more obliged to support J6 supporters than DeSantis is to support Trump. And DeSantis is defending Trump despite the ridiculously hateful slanders Trump is making of him. Governor DeSantis unexpectedly turned into Jeb! 2.0 Thanks to falling for the same consultants and donors as Governor Scott Walker.
His strength, like Walker's, was supposed to be a moderate polished appearance with ruthless policy aims and strong personnel compared to a loose cannon like Trump. DeSantis' campaign fiasco however has demonstrated that without the friendly FL legislature, Ron has similarly bad personnel choices as Trump without the bravado. So, it doesn't appear that Ron would fare any better than Donald in 'personnel is policy'. I thought he had a lock on 2028 as the future of the GOP post-Trump. 181 Even as lapsed Trump supporter, I absolutely believe Trump is being unfairly targeted. I also think Trump's incredibly stupid and reckless and walked right into their trap.
DeSantis (and everyone else) also knows this. Posted by: Blago at July 28, 2023 12:27 PM (cOFom) ———- There are almost 100,000 Federal laws on the books. Fun fact, Sowell once said that there are two presidents he immediately stopped listening to when they started talking:
Obama and Trump Posted by: The Central Scrutinizer ------- I turn off all presidents (and Senate and House critters as well) since way back listening to their speeches. First, America has deteriorated seriously in public speech making. Reagan was probably the last great speechmaker but we forget that his second term was mostly crap including the great amnesty he approved and keeping poodle dog Bush as his successor. Two, actions speak louder than words. Only a few statesmen make a lot of their words match their actions (Churchill and Lincoln are two for example). DeSantis can really only fight it in FL, Kemp in GA. They can't change stuff outside of their state. Trump has the money to actually create a countywide push, like Zuck and Soros did for dems, to change elections. The problem is Trump will only do that if it benefits Trump and Trump alone. We've learned that changing politics basically won't come from politicans. So unless Musk starts spending his money to fix elections, or someone like Larry Ellison (which he won't because it'll hurt his kids Hollywood osplaying) then Democrats won't ever lose, because their billionaires are willing to spend money to gain control, while conservative billionaires have a conservative mindset of "leave everyone alone" which doesn't work when ther otherside is trying to actively destroy the country. That is key even to seriously reducing mail vote fraud. If the floater voter is not on the rolls due to being struck as one of 1000 registered voters at a vacant lot, that is key to reduce the fraud's impact. Ditto for preventing any real time access by third parties to voter history and registration lists to prevent fake voters from being inserted by creating a registration, allowing a ballot to be faked, and then removing the registration. Bush or Mitt Romney or even John McCain presidency. I like DeSantis, but every one of these "great" "conservative" "fighters" turns out the same when they get to Washington. Ted Cruz, Rubio, Rand Paul . . . they all give good lip service to conservatism when running for federal office. None do anything once in office. DeSantis did some great stuff with "don't say gay" and busing illegals. But do you really believe he'll "enforce the border"? I don't. Every GOP politician in the last 50 years has run on enforcing the border - and yet in office they all suddenly "realize" that you can only enforce the border through "comprehensive immigration reform", which always includes a massive amnesty and legalization, but no real enforcement. So, Ahem... Fuck you, Mike Miller. Fuck you, fuck RedState.com, fuck all your colleagues, fuck the many GOPe interets that you serve, fuck your favored candidate and (again) fuck you! You kept mentioning the prospect of a political circular firing squad, so bring it on! As a AlwaysTrump voter and patriotic American who refuses to abandon the guy who stood by us, I welcome our mutual destruction in 2024. If DJT goes down without a damn finger of assistance from those supposedly on our side, we'll stay home and screw your guy over too. Try us, you bloviating prick! TRY US. Republicans have as much of a chance of winning 2024 presidency as the South had winning the Civil war and we all know it.
Posted by: It's me donna at July 28, 2023 01:03 PM (bs+z0) Unfortunately, this is where we are at. Desantis was the only hope and it appears he is does not have what it takes to overcome Trump. I love Trump but he does not learn or cannot change and he will lose the general no matter who he runs against. The polls are nonsense - he is less liked than he was on election day in 2020. Who has he won over since that time? Assuming the same amount of mail-in ballot fraud, how does that result in a win? It is bizarre to live in a country where the results of the next presidential election are already determined 1 1/2 years in advance. Posted by: Brian at July 28, 2023 03:38 PM (sOehV) 454
just give up the DeSantis support ... everything you say about him is true ... and meaningless ... he is a tool of GOPe and the globalists and for all his other positive traits that makes him anti-MAGA and not the man for the job ... find someone else to crush on ... its fine if its not Trump ... just walk away from DeSantis with some dignity intact ...

Ace, you've gone too far in your ridiculous claims that Trump is probably a criminal. I think you know better.
Let's make this easy: Issuing payment to bring an end to a nuisance claim of infidelity (which could not and cannot be proven one way or the other) is obviously not a crime. Receiving and possessing boxes of official White House documents which - under the Presidential Records Act - was and is Trump's unique right to receive and possess (most especially because as President he was authorized to send those boxes to their new custodial location and status) is also obviously not a crime. Making a speech on January 6th complaining about an obviously stolen election is also obviously not a crime. (In another post today you yourself pointed out that 1st Amendment is being effectively repealed by the Dems.) It really does suck that DeSantis is a sucky candidate. There is something both off and off-putting about his public persona. (Maybe he's a swell guy in his personal life.) He's both tone-deaf and slow-witted when it comes to responding to reporters (non-gotcha) questions on some issues. He. Simply. Does. Not. Connect. With. Ordinary. Folks. Worse than all of the above, DeSantis is obviously a GOPe stooge. Which is why he was so quick to change his position on US foreign policy regarding the war in Ukraine. He's not his man. DeSantafoolish is owned by the Neocons. The sooner he exits the stage, the better for grassroots conservatism. Posted by: Bach in Black at July 28, 2023 04:47 PM (dBoDT) 457
Correction: DeSantis is not his "own" man.

Whos payroll is that phony council on who is paying them to bring up all those false charges?

"The argument is really about selective prosecution of crimes that The Regime has previously not charged prominent Democrats for, not for Trump's actual innocence."
And the best part about the "BUT HILLARY" cries is that it was Trump who let her off the hook. It was only days after the election he was telling a crowd chanting "lock her up" that nah, we won't do that now. Thanks for falling for it though, suckers. Well, when I am told that the only possible savior of America is Donald Trump, and that another solidly conservative politician is actually a crypto-communist WEF stooge, then I get the scent of a cult.
Posted by: CharlieBrown'sDildo at July 28, 2023 12:18 PM (PHmov) "You're in a cult! Vote for my guy!" Great strategy. Next you'll claim that 2020 was totally legit and start calling us MAGATs. Don't expect any more donations to cutjib from me.. I don't make it a habit of paying to be insulted. Posted by: VAR1ABLE at July 29, 2023 12:27 AM (zVapv) 461
he said he'd strongly consider pardoning trump, and anyone else who was victim of a partisan prosecution, like the J6ers and abortion protestors.
Then came the howls that this "wasn't STRONG enough."Posted by: ace at July 28, 2023 12:24 PM (KRtlO) That's what we wanted, a very lawyerly statement! We love those ivy league lawyer/pols, don't we? They have a great track record of not f#cking over the country for their own benefit. Lawyers make the best politicians, trustworthy AF! Posted by: VAR1ABLE at July 29, 2023 12:35 AM (b9hvH) 462
404 I can understand, it's like in Columbo, deleting security footage makes YOU look suspicious, but you didn't break a law and a lack of proof is not proof. Just don't tell a lie about why and get caught in that.
Posted by: Axeman How long ago was the video footage? Do you know anything about security cameras and their storage? Most are set to overwrite when it runs out of space. I wouldn't be surprised if this is what happened and it wouldn't be out of character for the commies to claim it was "deleted" on purpose. Posted by: VAR1ABLE at July 29, 2023 01:10 AM (/IDQP) 463
