Secret Service Now Tasked with Solving the Mystery: Who Could Have Possibly Left a Bag of Cocaine in the White House?
Can you solve this groovy mystery?
Yeah that must be it. It must be a visitor who went through security with a bag of fucking cocaine in his pocket, and then decided to leave it there.
The U.S. Secret Service on Tuesday said it was investigating an "unknown item" found inside the White House complex on Sunday that sources said was described in radio traffic as a cocaine-like substance. "On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service uniformed division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area," Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. ... Sources told ABC News radio traffic from D.C. Fire and EMS described a powdery, cocaine-like substance being found on the White House grounds and the preliminary results from an initial field test. "We have a result on the [inaudible]" a voice on the traffic can be heard saying. "We have a yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride." The powder was found in the West Wing area of the White House, multiple law enforcement sources told ABC News. Some visitors are able to tour parts of the West Wing, and tours typically take place on the weekends.
Jazz Shaw points out that initial reports said that the coke was found in the White House residence -- but then the Secret Service kept changing the story to move it further and further away from Joe Biden and his "family."
When asked if there were tours last weekend, the Secret Service would not confirm that, saying: "These are details that are pertinent to our investigation and not something we can get into." Cocaine hydrochloride can be used as an anesthetic or to control bleeding, but it is also considered to have effects similar to crack cocaine, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. "The physiological and psychoactive effects of cocaine are similar regardless of whether it is in the form of cocaine hydrochloride or crack cocaine (cocaine base)," the study says.
One of the crazier stories to show up this week (and the competition was fierce) involved a bag of cocaine being found at the White House. For one thing, the story kept changing on a daily basis. It was initially reported that the drugs were found "near" the White House. Later, the WaPo reported that it was found in the White House library, which would have placed it inside the executive mansion. But as the nation celebrated America's birthday, the tale changed yet again. The Secret Service contradicted the library story, saying that the baggie of coke was not in the library. It was found "in a work area in the West Wing." The location was described as being "in a storage facility in a cubby routinely used by White House staff and guests to store cellphones." This would be a very interesting development indeed, particularly since it would limit the possible list of suspects significantly, making a potential investigation easier. According to the new report, it was in an area where you would have top aides to Biden or guests. So if top aides or guests of Joe Biden or his staff stash their stuff there, then the question is: Who put it there? This probably kills the "some random person from a tour brought it in" theory if it was found in that work area location. One would have to imagine that there are cameras and security all over the building. Who is bringing cocaine to the White House? Where are the cameras and the logs of the people who it could have been?

The article does let reality intrude, however.
For a perspective, the annual point-in-time count of homeless people in Multnomah County reported 80 transgender people unsheltered during one week in 2022, the latest year available. That’s almost double the 42 counted in 2019.
Portland officially has more than 5,000 homeless people.

I'd like to see the evidence behind that statement - that homeless trannies are on the streets because of "discrimination and violence." Family rejection strikes me as more likely, but that doesn't lead directly vagrancy.
Mental illness and drug abuse are *extremely* strongly correlated with vagrancy, though, and I'd love to see the overlap on that particular Venn Diagram.

And regarding these so-called reporters using "dashboard" when they mean "instrument panel": The old term "dashboard," I think, dated to the days of buckboards and covered wagons, denoting a wooden panel that was intended to keep splashes ("dashes") of mud and muck off the passengers' clothing. The term carried over to automobiles, since a lot of the early auto makers came from the wagon-building world (see: "Studebaker"). That nearly-level panel that extends inward from the base of your windshield is the "dashboard." The arrangement of instruments and gauges is the "instrument panel."
So your speed would not be visible from the dashboard, but from the instruments.

This is a disconnected view on drugs. The war on drugs exists for the welfare of the general population, not on grounds of fairness or hypocrisy. Legalizing drugs doesn't make the cartels or gang problems go away or the ill effects of drugs.
Hunter Biden isn't dead in a gutter because he's rich. That's not a justification for getting more poor people dead in a gutter. Rich people getting away with self-destructive behavior is not a good reason to encourage self-destructive behavior in people who can't survive it.

In the fantastic Gosford Park, Julian Fellowes purposely subverted the detective character. Instead of being Holmes/Poirot/Wolfe smart, he's a good natured dunce who is overawed by the elite suspects he is assigned to. (Stephen Fry does a brilliant job with the role.) It's a nice foil for the main smart servant girl trying to solve the mystery.
Anyone they hire to investigate the WH cocaine will be from the same cloth. Utterly useless wankers.

Maybe importing 150 million non Europeans while exporting jobs overseas while repeatedly using the Heritage population as cannon folder for international finance since the Civil War is a terrible idea leading to cycles of PTSD and despair for those with family's who had skin in the game (warrior class).
Maybe instead of purposely misdiagnosing PTSD and teaching men and women how to deal with it while providing jobs and a future is a better way.
