Whistleblower: Biden's DOJ Blocked Search Warrants for Hunter Biden; Joe Biden Met With One of Hunter's Chinese Paymasters
A supervisory IRS agent divulged to Congress widespread interference in the probe of Hunter Biden, including the blockage of two search warrants and more extensive criminal charges, while also confirming the government had evidence that Joe Biden met with his son's Chinese business partners, according to testimony released Thursday. Just the News obtained the testimony of IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley shortly after the House Ways and Means Committee voted to pierce Hunter Biden's tax privacy and make the agent's allegations of preferential treatment and political interference public. He confirmed career prosecutors originally intended to charge Hunter Biden with numerous tax violations dating to 2014, but in the end appointees of Joe Biden nixed the plan for a more sweeping indictment. In the end, the charges were narrowed to two counts in 2017 and 2018 that most likely spared the presidential son prison time.Oh! Now "optics" are a concern when it comes to FBI raids on the homes of a president!!!
"I am blowing the whistle because the Delaware U.S. Attorney's Office, Department of Justice Tax, and Department of Justice provided preferential treatment and unchecked conflicts of interest in an important and high-profile investigation of the President's son, Hunter Biden," he told lawmakers. Shapley divulged in his testimony that federal prosecutors twice blocked search warrants seeking evidence from Hunter Biden, including one for a storage locker with corporate documents and another for Joe Biden's Delaware residence where Hunter Biden was living, even though agents had met the standards for probable cause. Shapley recounted how an assistant U.S. Attorney working on the case in Delaware she rejected the warrant for Joe Biden's home in December 2020. "The decision was whether the juice was worth the squeeze And also a statement made here was that she said that, well, we had to consider the optics of doing a search warrant on, you know, Hunter Biden's residence and/or the guest house of President Biden.," he recounted. "

"She further states about the guest house of Joe Biden that there was no way we'd get that approved," he recounted. Later when agents pivoted to seek a search warrant for a storage locker where Hunter Biden stored some of his corporate records, they were thwarted again and instead prosecutors alerted the Biden legal team. Shapley said the denial was unprecedented in his many years as an IRS agent. "So it was off the table. And that was even after the election. So there's many things. Any other case I ever worked, if they were like there's a storage unit with documents from the business and personal documents in relation to the years under investigation -- the risk was zero, because it's on a storage unit, it's not on a residence -- there's no prosecutor I've ever worked with that wouldn't say, go get those documents," he said. Shapley also confirmed prosecutors had evidence that Joe Biden met with officials of his son's Chinese energy client called CEFC, describing an interview that family associate Rob Walker gave the FBI.

Additional testimony from Shapley and an unidentified subordinate confirmed Just the News's earlier reporting that: 1) The DOJ allowed the statute of limitations to expire on alleged tax crimes dating from before 2017 involving hundreds of thousands of dollars more in undeclared income, including some from foreign firms such as Ukrainian gas firm Burisma. 2) The IRS criminal investigation team never learned that the FBI had recovered emails from Hunter's laptop showing that the first son was aware by 2017 that he had not paid taxes on at least $400,000 in income from Burisma from 2014. 3) Neither the IRS nor the FBI agents investigating Biden ever saw the confidential human source information the FBI received and documented in a form FD-1023 outlining an alleged bribery deal in which a Burisma executive paid $5 million each to Hunter and another Biden family member.

On how to get fair(er)(ish) trials in the D.C. Courts.
Congress should pass a law which mandates that the Jury Pool for any D.C. trial, be comprised of two randomly chosen Citizens from each of the fifty States.
Jury Pool members will be paid $200 per day for any portion of the day spent in D.C., and will be housed in a Hilton/Marriott/Hytatt level Hotel. Breakfasts will be from hotel's restaurant, Lunches will be catered at the U.S. courthouse, and a $75 per diem will be allowed for the potential Juror's evening meals.
Term of Service for the Jury Pool will be One Week, unless actually selected for Jury Service. Whereupon, the daily rate for a Serving Juror will be $250, until that Judicial Process is completed.
Might not be perfect, but it'd sure get juries that're a LOT more "like America" than the 98% dems the D.C. jury pools get, now.

All the speculation about getting tangled in debris and being stuck on the floor was unnecessary but I guess it made for good ratings for the ghouls in TV.
Once I heard they had physical ways to drop all the ballast and rise, I was convinced it was a rapid implosion from hull failure.
The issue, in my humble opinion, is carbon fiber fatigue from repeated depth and cold. There is little to no data on how CF holds up to repeated pressures like that and then back to 1 atmosphere. Or that level of cold and then reheating. Things swell and shrink and that's a bad bad thing for composites.
In the end, betting everyone's lives on a material with no data on how it will react in that environment is an engineering fuckup of grand scale.

The standard applied is that the kid should live at the same level of affluence as if the father and mother were married. So if the father is rich, that means the kid would have lived a rich life. Hence hefty child support payments. Add in the heavy bias in most family courts in favor of the mother and against the father, and you see where this is going.

I recall that cluster munitions were declared illegal and were classified to be weapons of mass destruction back in 2008 or so at some convention. We did not sign off on that treaty but a metric butt ton of countries did including some of our NATO allies.

Child support is not based on need, it's based on the parents income. All States have laws on how much is paid based on what the absent parent has in assets and income. Rich people pay more in child support than poor people do, it's not based on what the kid needs.

Anyway, this is one of those scripts that so mind-numbingly bad that it's amazing it go through production, but Cameron made Avatar which made 2 billion, so no one was going to question him. And you know what? Avatar 2 made $2 billion, so what the fuck do I know?
But seriously, the script is straight up garbage. It's incoherent and all over the place. I don't see how people decide to overlook it all because the graphics are good and the get to see whales with slightly different features.

I don't hate the first one. It's got a super basic story that it does with no real style or depth and a fair amount of spectacle.
The second is...straight up trash. It does the hilarious thing of completely undoing the ending victory of the first one in the opening ten minutes, turning our hero from the first one, who led a primate vs. tech fight successfully into a wuss who instantly runs away to avoid a fight as an excuse to move the action to the water people shit.

What absolute idiocy. The LAST place cluster bombs would be useful is around a fortified position. The defenders don't have to go anywhere. YOU have to cross the ground to go to them. The line protects sappers clearing those on the line of communication.
At least the offensive area is clear of civilians.

The Director's Cut is arguably his best film.
Looking at the listings, they have both available on Prime, but the one labeled just "Kingdom of Heaven" is the theatrical cut. The other one, labeled "Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut Roadshow Version)," was the one to watch.
Something similar happened with Exodus: Gods and Kings where Scott said his original 4 hour cut was probably his finest movie, but he cut it down to 2.5 hours to appease his producers. That 4 hour cut, however, has never been released.
