32 The Tuileries Garden is a public garden located between the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, France. Created by Catherine de' Medici as the garden of the Tuileries Palace in 1564, it was eventually opened to the public in 1667 and became a public park after the French Revolution.

So is the face of the girl (well, she is wearing a dress, and times were more sane then) just to the old lady's right. Child looks like she has a mustache.

And the hatless chap to the right looks as if he's drinking a bottle of a sports drink.

137 I like a number of Manet works, especially his pastels, the variety of subjects is interesting and the styles can be quite different. But this one doesn't appeal to me. The figures are stiff and wooden with no sense of motion or emotion. The trees are splotchy (sorry for the technical term) and dull. There may be some social commentary being made here but it escapes me.

However, by getting more information about Manet, I came across some of his other works I really enjoy. His "Battle of the Kearsarge and The Alabama" was a big, and pleasant, surprise.

I reading "The Agony & the Ecstasy" now and there's a lot of scenes like this in there. One funny one is he's asked to paint the Holy Family on a table top. After bellyaching about it, he does it. The ridiculing was led by head of Wagner private army Yevgeny Prigozhin, who sees it as yet more evidence of blundering incompetence by Putin's defence chiefs and army. The Russian defence ministry hailed 'footage of the destruction of foreign armoured vehicles, including Leopard tanks'. But in reality, military analysts say the footage showed Russia blasting farm vehicles with a missile fired from a Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter.

363 This painting reminds me of that Star Trek where there was that planet that was over populated so they kidnapped Kirk and made him infect the President's daughter with deadly Space Cooties so they could wipe out a good chunk of their citizenry.
------------
And that reminds me of the ST: Enterprise where the alien doctor condemns a race of people to death in some weird version of Darwinian Survival of the Fittest because they're not advanced enough to cure their genetic disease so that the 85 I.Q. race will have a chance to dominate the planet after another 20,000 years of evolution because no killer disease/genetic disease will ever wipe them out in the meantime.

"Tucker on Twitter" is how @TuckerCarlson's video is branded. Notice his right hand in the wide shot: He's using a TelePrompTer controller to run the prompter himself
. . . .
There are two kinds of people on Twitter: Those who believe the "view counts" especially around alleged video streams, and those who know better.

“I know you’ve heard me say this to a point where you may be tired of hearing me say it, we still don’t have a law in the federal books against domestic terrorism, and that deprives law enforcement of the ability to get out ahead of violence,” Figliuzzi said

Excuse me for interjecting, but its not law enforcement's job to get out ahead. That would conflict with the little thing like innocence being presumed.
Enforcement of the law can be a deterrence of other's breaking the law, but that is not what this idiot is saying.

397 For those that might see some MFM bullshit spin about Spain having its hottest spring on record, and second driest, here's what's hidden in an AFP report...

"At the time, AEMET said it was Spain’s driest and hottest April since records began in 1961." [I recall the report about Japan's hottest May had records at least going back to the 1890s but 1961!!??]

"The average temperature was “14.2 degrees Celsius (57.5 degrees Fahrenheit), which was 1.8C hotter” than normal, the agency said." [It's been 12C - 14C overnight in Toronto lately and believe me it's not freaking hot! And 1997 was the previous "record".]
