++++ That seems like a leap, but it wouldn't be inconceivable for them to make that leap (or at least try). Even if you've "proven" that the Proud Boys engaged in conspiracy, that's not proof that Trump was a part of it. If you argue that the Proud Boys interpreted some Trump statement as a "wink and a nod," that doesn't mean that you can argue that Trump interpreted it as such or intended it as such. If the standard is "Person Y interpreted what Person X said as instruction and encouragement to engage in crime, therefore Person X is guilty of conspiracy," then *everyone* is potentially guilty of conspiracy. So this is 1, a farce, but 2, a very dangerous farce, as it sets a precedent for the prosecution of all future presidents: Joe Biden, obviously, has encouraged antifa and BLM's riots.
It is only a 'precedent' for any future GOP 'president,' if there is one. Dems will routinely begin impeachment and imprisonment proceedings against a GOP president unless he is a collaborator like Pence. Any GOP president who even thinks about imprisoning a Democrat ex-prez will: 1. Be counseled by the GOP 'wise men' that "this is not who we are." 2. If he proceeds, he will be undercut at every turn by the MFM and GOP-e. 3. If it looks as though he will be successful in putting a Dem ex-prez in jail, the Deep State will pull an Oswald on him. The GOP does not fight back. It will NEVER fight back. Why I have to keep repeating this, I do not know. I guess hope - even faint, desperate hope - springs eternal in some chests. Even if DeSantis did the same to these people who tried to hold his office hostage yesterday, he knows that in FL you still will have at least 1 liberal on a jury that will acquit no matter what, in DC or NYC trying to find that one dissenting opinion on political cases is near impossible. ... What is margin of fraud these days?
Posted by: JROD at May 04, 2023 12:26 PM (IlL6s) ++++ Undefined, in most relevant locales. The whole idea of "margin of fraud" was flawed. The idea of the "margin of fraud" is that there are limits to cheating before the cheating becomes obvious and unquestionable, and so the limits are somewhere below the threshold of obviousness because if that threshold is violated, the cheat will fail and potentially trigger a revolution. When they YOLO'd in 2020 and blew through that limit, they got away with it. They did it again since in some races, like Lake's and probably Fetterman's. 2020 and a handful of races since have demonstrated that the thesis behind the "margin of fraud" concept is wrong. It does not matter if it is obvious, unquestionable fraud. It no longer needs to be believable. Because the root assumption has been demonstrated incorrect, the entire premise is incorrect. In many areas including virtually all of the hugely important ones, the "margin of fraud" does not exist. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at May 04, 2023 12:38 PM (O4oKn) 268

What does running someone that has shown they can't win accomplish exactly?
Trump support has become just a black pill play that you hope people will secede? Jan 6 was a joke, that's probably what will happen when Trump loses (again) A few retards commit some minor vandalism and they get thrown in a gulag. And Trump never lifts a finger to help any of them. Posted by: Blago at May 04, 2023 12:35 PM (T4fo0) There is an enormous difference between someone who lost and someone where the election was stolen, that's why. It's a time-honored tradition, especially in the GOP, that if you lost an election you step aside and let the next in line go for it. If you believe that Trump lost 2020 fair and square, and if 81 million people legitimately voted for Biden even though he campaigned in a basement (not saying that you assert that, of course), then I understand moving on from Trump. If we're getting outraged over the revelations that keep coming out about 2020, however, then I for one have to say that Trump needs to run again.
Yep. The general leftist crowd showed they don't care about cheating as long as their guy wins. The courts proved they don't have the balls to step in even when fraud is obvious. The leftist higher ups showed they will come down with the force of law on anyone who speaks out. The general rightist crowd showed they will grumble, and do nothing more. The rightist higher ups showed they are nutless and probably compromised. At this point, even if leftists start "winning" with 95%+ of the vote nationwide, I'm confident nobody will do anything. Posted by: Cat Ass Trophy at May 04, 2023 12:54 PM (lcf/Y) ++++ It depends on who's running. If there's an actual opponent, then yes - definitely. If there's a good, solid, Uniparty man on both sides, perhaps not (or, rather, no more than the pre-2020 norm). If, say, Mitt Romney ended up as the GOP candidate, I doubt they'd fight him all that hard. Why bother? Keep up appearances and let the JV crew take a turn in the big chair. Totally OT but it's past 100 comments and didn't want to wait for the prayer request thread... just found out that a former co-worker of mine (Al) took his own life yesterday. He had a son that will be graduating from HS next month and the family will be having their celebration of his life sometime after the son's graduation. If you can spare some prayers for Al and his family it would be appreciated.

America will be run by a tyrannical junta that routinely jails the opposition -- just the way it is in the Third World.

"There is an enormous difference between someone who lost and someone where the election was stolen,"
Honest question. As someone who believes the same that the election was won by incredibly unjust means. (Suppressing and openly lying about the Hunter laptop, massive potential for hiding/producing ballots in mail votes). Did any one of the "greatest" lawyers Trump hired to make a case, ever produce a salient point or coherent argument on how the election was stolen? All I heard from Powell, Gulliani, etc. was promises of a Kraken and "there's no way Biden got 81 million votes". And every time they were specifically asked by a judge if they had any specific evidence, the publicly documented answer was "No". At no press conference did they articulate to the American people exactly where the fraud was and believe me I wanted to hear that. It was all cloak and dagger about foreign datacenter gunfights and innuendo. This didn't persuade anyone but die hard Trump supporters. Posted by: theATL at May 04, 2023 01:34 PM (GhJWt) 554

Hey, the ATL. I've got a question for you that's purely logic based, considering your argument about the 2020 election.
Is a court or judge refusing to hear a case the same as having no evidence? According to your argument, it must be. So those over 500 sworn affidavits, such as the postal worker who's supervisor told his employees to backdate ballots that were received late, video from Georgia showing ballots being filled out from suitcases under desks after poll watchers were dismissed and poll watchers being illegally denied access to Philadelphia polling centers and being told "we're not abiding by that rule," not to mention the violation of voting date and time limits set down by state and federal laws, I guess all of that is just HERSAY. Oh and let's not forget the Dems and Left FULLY ADMITTING to a criminal conspiracy in Molly Ball's story some months later. Yeah.. none of that is proof, right? Are you Mike Miller's bottom boy? Seditious conspiracy?
You mean like conspiring to throw your political enemies in prison by weaponising the power of the government against them, that sort of thing? We're going to need bigger prisons. Posted by: stv at May 04, 2023 02:30 PM (/dqoc) 562

"Trump is world historical. +74mil actual votes at least."
Trump lost. Yes, he got "more" votes but he also inspired more anti-Trump votes. So he lost. Sure, it was unfair media coverage, Russia gate, etc. And they are setting up more new traps openly now. And you keep saying "yeah, I know I just saw Joe Biden sprinkle rat poison on the Trump pizza, but I want to eat it." Your opponents the Dems are not dumb. They are actually very smart. They have shit policies and still can win. Posted by: Harun at May 04, 2023 04:11 PM (Cg63x) 564
Three things.
1) why didn’t Trump simply pardon them. 2) why didn’t Trump contribute to their legal defense. 3) why is Trump silent after their convictions for trying to help Trump? This isn’t ending well for anyone involved. Who could have known that doing Trump’s dirty work would blow up? Posted by: Honest Cloud at May 04, 2023 04:53 PM (SpPNO) 565
