Did Leftwing ESG Investment Group Blackrock -- Which Just Increased Its Holdings of Fox to 15.1% -- Demand the Firing of Tucker Carlson to "Fortify the Election" of 2024?

We know the increasingly liberal Rupert Murdoch was "concerned" by Tucker Carlson's J6 reporting, and we strongly, strongly suspect that Murdoch ordered him to stop reporting on the J6 video.

But what would provoke Murdoch to either fire Carlson or impose such unbearable censorship on Carlson as to force him to quit?

Was it the leftwing investment group which now owns almost one sixth of Fox?

When an investor increases his holdings to more than 15% of a company, he has to disclose that, as he is now an investor with enough ownership stake in a company that he can start making demands and decisions.

On February 1, ultrapartisan Democrat-leaning woke investment group Blackrock, led by hyperpartisan leftwinger Larry Fink, announced it had increased its holdings to 15.1%.

Fintel reports that BlackRock has filed a 13G/A form with the SEC disclosing ownership of 45.74MM shares of Fox Corporation, Class A (FOXA). This represents 15.1% of the company.
In their previous filing dated January 27, 2022 they reported 39.87MM shares and 12.40% of the company, an increase in shares of 14.75% and an increase in total ownership of 2.70% (calculated as current - previous percent ownership).

Of course, we've seen the hyper-rich interfere in the 2020 election. Mark Zuckerberg spent more than $350 million in Zuckerbucks to "fortify the election" in Democrat districts, turning out voters and also paying to ballot harvest and "cure" defective votes.

But just in Democrat districts, you understand. He wasn't interested in increasing voting overall.

And no one can possibly not understand that a thusfar-secret leftwing billionaire made Drudge a huge cash offer to purchase his site, but pretend that he was still involved in it.

The ultra-rich of the left decided to take Drudge out for the 2020 election.

Does the firing of Tucker Carlson not suggest that they're taking out the right's biggest, brightest communicator out for the 2024 election? And, in fact, deliberately destroying the biggest news network that even leans, if slightly, right?

Because this will destroy Fox. I'm not sure the play was even made to take out Tucker Carlson, who will be actually become even more powerful now that Darth Vader has struck him down. No, I think the play was to force Fox into a Final Sellout which would effectively finish off the network, which is already half-despised by the right.

I am seeing a lot of people not really understanding today's events in cable news. Ha ha. Tucker Carlson is such a loser. Big dummy got fired!
That shows a very boomer era understanding of media consumption and overestimation of the power of a traditional news channel.
He didn't need Fox. The last I saw his contract there was something like cheap, which is chump change to a guy with a reliable audience in the millions every night.
Tucker Carlson is now going to go sign a Joe Rogan size contract on a streaming service. He will make the most money of any news broadcaster in history and probdbly do so by an insane margin.
Meanwhile Don Lemon is a relative non entity. He won't bring much of an audience with him wherever he goes.
One of these two will get a pay cut. The other is going to make orders of magnitude more money, and has the investment potential to boost any media corporation he signs with into a very competitive sphere.
And I don't even watch Fox News at all, nor do I care about Tucker Carlson. But if you are too blinded by goofy partisan point scoring to grasp the business implications of this, it's a bad look, but it ain't my problem.

Leftwingers have almost no initiative themselves, and crave the Status of working for a Status-conferring corporation more than anything else, and are so mentally-defective that they still think that the way to get rich is to work for someone else who pays you a comfortable salary while he takes most of the wealth you're generating.

I don't really think this is about '24. Elections are pretty well in hand and Tucker's audience isn't really in play. They're going to vote for Team R regardless.

I think this is about right now and recent activities. Tucker was the only mainstream pundit skeptical of Ukraine. Tucker was the only mainstream voice skeptical of Jan 6. Tucker was the only mainstream personality skeptical of Woke Capital. Ditto tranny shit for kids. Ditto Ray Epps. Ditto many things.

I don't think they want to destroy FNC, and I don't think this will do it. It will be unprofitable and much smaller, but that doesn't matter. None of the big news nets make much if any money. Besides, the other news nets still need a hate object, and FNC is as good as any.

They wanted to make FNC irrelevant and despised by virtually everyone, and in that I think they'll succeed.

Biden's entire opening was based on that, since there is nothing else to run on. The plan is to have enough states ban Trump from the ballot AFTER the primaries, so there is only one choice on the general election ballot. The other things you mention are simply the democrat platform that isn't selling so well, but that doesn't matter if your only choice is to vote D or write in.

It's speculative, but possible.

Freon (and other CFCs) chemically can deplete the ozone layer, but it has to get there and that's difficult. They're heavier than air and so have to convect *really* far to reach the ozone layer.

There are two reasonable explanations for banning Freon:
1. The chemical ability of CFCs to destroy ozone and the discovery of the "hole" in the ozone layer led to the conclusion that CFCs caused the hole and they had to be banned to contain the damage. The conclusion was likely wrong, but the circumstantial evidence didn't look to be.

You really have to look beyond YouTube. After Molyneux, Alex Jones, and most of the dissident right were deplatformed, you had this whole ecosystem develop outside the usual media channels. I don't think the real President would have gotten 75+ million votes if the Alt media landscape resembled 2012, much less 2002.

Many scientists at the time of the proposed ban said that the ozone *hole* was a cyclical phenomena and doing nothing it would still most likely shrink on it's own but they went ahead and banned freon because just like DDT it benefited way too many poor people.

Was a fan of Stern in the 90's. I found him quite entertaining back then. As I aged, his schtick got old, boring and repetitive. He was considered 'cutting edge' back in the early days, but once everyone started going 'blue,' he got mired in mediocrity and I lost interest.

One is that the Dominion/Fox settlement is worth much more than Dominion's entire market cap, and thus can't possibly be justified as defamation damages even if it had put Dominion out of business completely.

Second is that Blackrock seems to now own big chunks (like 30%+) of both Fox and Dominion, so in effect they're paying themselves.

And third, Tucker has f-you money and has had it for a long time. He doesn't need to keep working at all. If he does, it's unlikely to be for any traditional media corporation. I expect him to get a nice 8-figure offer from Rumble or Locals and take that, because it gives him editorial control, even if Spotify or the Daily Wire offers more.
