Speculation of political bias is heightening surrounding Donald Trump's indictment after it was revealed the daughter of the judge presiding over the case worked for Vice President Kamala Harris' 2020 presidential run and a slew of other progressive campaigns.
Trump railed against Judge Juan Manuel Merchan in a social media rant ahead of his arraignment on Tuesday afternoon with a post claiming the judge is from a 'family of well known Trump haters.'
Loren Merchan, the 34-year-old daughter of the Manhattan judge, is partner and president of Authentic Campaigns, a progressive digital firm, and worked on several high-profile Democratic campaigns -- including for President Joe Biden.
The work of the judge's daughter led to increased claims from former President Trump that the judge 'hates me' and that the Stormy Daniels hush money case against him in Manhattan is rigged, biased and part of the politicization and criminalization of the U.S. justice system.
Trump demanded just hours before his historic arraignment on Tuesday afternoon that the case in question be moved from Manhattan to the more Republican-friendly Staten Island.

Loren Merchan worked as the director of digital for Harris' 2020 presidential campaign from February 2019 until December of the same year, according to her LinkedIn.
Merchan's firm, Authentic, continued working for Harris and then-candidate Joe Biden after the eventual first-ever female vice president ended her unsuccessful campaign for president and joined Biden's ticket.
She concluded her work with the campaign to move to fill the same role at Authentic Campaigns progressive digital strategies firm. She climbed the ladder over five years at the firm and is now Partner, president and COO of Authentic Campaigns.

All they did was link the Daily Mail's link -- which, yes, did include the photo.

But Glenn Kessler deliberately deceived people into thinking Trump's sons found pictures of her and posted them themselves.

I think Dobbs took a very big problem for the GOP off the table. People are sick of their inaction on things the base cares about, and it was starting to cost them. It might take an election or two, but I think abortion will soon cease to amount to anything, since as you point out, women for whom it's an important matter will discover they can just cross state lines to get an abortion.

Yes, when a party files a new case in NYC and requests assignment of a judge -- called an RJI in civil cases, at least -- there is a "related case" option. But the earlier persecution of the companies has nothing to do with the current case. It's not "related" at all. There's no way this case should have been directed to this shiteating judge. No, actually abortion was the primary issue in the campaign as Wisconsin is set to abolish the law that existed pre Dobbs which had very strict limits. The Wisconsin Supreme Court will have the final say most likely which made the switch from conservative to liberal the major focus. It is why so much outside money poured in to support the proabortion candidate. From what I have read, Trump did not comment at all on this race.

I've had ChatGPT give me incorrect information on tech questions. It's frustrating that you have to check all info it gives you. I still use it though, because it's easy to verify when it gives you correct information, and it's often better than StackOverflow and easier to understand than lots of documentation.

Not so, Trump only had trouble with Republican suburban voters in Arizona, because eff you McCain machine. He did fine with them in all the other states, to the extent where Republican suburban voters could make a difference. The suburbs that had been wealthy Republican stalwarts before but had turned into wealthy Democrat stalwarts were admittedly troublesome, but remember all, if 2020 had been a truly fair election none of this would be happening.
