Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 3/15/232 - "Oorah!" 3 - "Huzzah!" 3 - "Banzai!" 5 - "We made our point and Donald Trump has asked for everybody to go home. So what are we going to do? We are going to obey our president." Now, I ain't no George S. Patton, but that last one looks a bit iffy for someone about to lead a bloody insurrection in an attempt to overthrow the government, no? What the Democrats had planned on J6 — January 6, 2021, the day the votes were made official at the Capitol, never happened. Just consider the crackdown that did occur subsequent to J6. Consider then what would have happened had there in fact been an Antifa/Democrat style riot at the Capitol. They would have come down on everything on the “Right. . . ” . . . But, instead, we got Jacob Chansley. The “QAnon Shaman.” On J6, Chansley ambled down the corridors, got a police-conducted tour, then said a prayer and howled. Who knows his politics, or cares? What neither Chansley, nor hundreds of others who were there that day did, was riot. They did not come brandishing firearms. (Who goes to insurrect without guns? This is America about which we are talking.) They set no fires. This is worth repeating. They set no fires. (Whereas Antifa set fire to the “Church of Presidents” in a real riot, albeit memory-holed, in front of the White House.) . . . . . . Agents provocateur, of whom there were beaucoup. An “agent provocateur” is a person working for the government who tries to provoke someone into committing a crime. Frankly, it’s astonishing that they didn’t take the bait. There were half a million outside. They could have burned the place down. Had they, we all would have been crushed. And for his bloody battle cry and goofy attire, Jacob Chansley got 41 months in a federal prison. Of course, the "bloody battle cry" as well as video footage of him being personally and calmly escorted around the Capitol by Capitol cops as if on a VIP tour is exculpatory evidence that was withheld from his attorneys. I assume because of "national security" reasons, of course. And now, let's play another favorite called "Compare and Contrast." Protestors carrying banners that read, “Queers Bash Back,” and, “Bash Fash,” were seen on video smashing glass windows while police officers tried to fend them off. Additional footage showed police outside taking down masked protesters who appeared to be carrying spray paint cans. A UC Davis campus police spokesperson told Breitbart News that “two people were arrested after spray painting the outside of the building.” “I’m not sure what the exact charges are, but that’s what they were doing,” the spokesperson said. The police spokesperson added that he did not have information on the identities of the individuals who were arrested and that, so far, no arrests have been made in connection to the smashed glass windows on the university’s campus doors. The left-wing and LGBTQ activists were also seen carrying banners that read, “Protect Trans Kids,” and, “Fascists Off Campus.” The violence by protesters arrived on the heels of UC Davis chancellor Gary S. May releasing a video in which he referred to Kirk as a “proponent of hate” and falsely claimed the Turning Point USA founder has “advocated for violence against transgender individuals.” May also proclaimed that while the university “can’t control how these groups [TPUSA] operate,” the campus community can “work together to neutralize and negate their influence.”UC Davis. A place that makes Patrice Lumumba University look like Hillsdale College in comparison. Forgetting for a moment that considering who and what controls the state university system, law enforcement and indeed the entirety of the state itself, is there any doubt whoever the cops nabbed will be let off with a wrist-slap if not an apology? Worse, this Gary May bastard incited the violence and while I would not be surprised if he helped organize it, he nevertheless approves of it. Because, pace Ace, "Our speech is violence, and their violence is speech." On the latest episode of our podcast, which will post a bit later this morning, friend and friend of the blog Michael Walsh discussed his latest essay, wherein he, and we, attempt to tackle the subject of the rock and hard place we find ourselves in: In the movie The Untouchables, written by David Mamet and directed by Brian De Palma, a streetwise Irish cop named Malone tries to educate a starry-eyed fed named Eliot Ness in the ways of Chicago justice when up against an implacable, deadly opponent like Al Capone. The scene has become justly famous for this line: "He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. THAT'S the Chicago way! And that's how you get Capone." But for our purposes here, what even more important is the exchange between Sean Connery and Kevin Costner that immediately precedes it: Ness: I want to get Capone! I don't know how to get him. Malone: [talking privately in a church] You said you wanted to know how to get Capone. Do you really wanna get him? You see what I'm saying, what are you prepared to do? Ness: Everything within the law. Malone: And *then* what are you prepared to do? If you open the ball on these people Mr. Ness you must be prepared to go all the way. Because they won't give up the fight, until one of you is dead. Well, that's the question, isn't it? In a battle between good and evil, with the law having gone over to the side of evil—as it had in the gangland Chicago of the 1920s and '30s—what are the good guys prepared to do? With the country-as-founded now being shot out from underneath us on a near-daily basis, how do concerned citizens fight back? . . . . . . politically mobilized Trump supporters didn't take up arms on Jan. 6, and as for "violence," the patsy protesters had nothing on the Antifa and Black Lives Matters thugs during the Summer of Floyd of blessed but rapidly fading memory, his work on earth here now done. If not the system (which as I noted here and here, IS the steal, having now effectively legalized voter fraud), then what? Certainly not the courts. Time after time, suits have been brought in response to this or that enormity, only to have the courts dismiss the plaintiffs as "without standing." Most egregious of the recent examples was Texas v. Pennsylvania in late 2020, in which Texas and other states sued Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—the states that handed Biden his "win"—for changing their election laws (owing in large part to the Covid hoax) by means other than legislative, in clear violation of the Constitution. . . . . . Meanwhile, the addlepated but deeply malevolent Joe Biden, who continues his payback war against everyone who wrote him off half a century ago as a malignant idiot, continues to illustrate the truth of "Irish Alzheimer's," which is that you only remember the grudges. Wrecking the economy, annihilating longstanding societal norms in the name of "equity", picking a fight with Russia like a drunk in a bar nearing closing time, shuttling his treasury secretary over to the Ukraine as techbro banks collapse literally overnight, Biden is the most destructive president in American history, even worse than Woodrow Wilson: like Wilson he disbelieves in the Constitution; unlike Wilson, he openly despises his country and his countrymen and acts on it every day. So what are you prepared to do? The recent midterms, which were supposed to have been a spanking for the Democrats, barely moved the needle. The sudden appearance of Kevin McCarthy's backbone as speaker of the House has been a pleasant surprise (and thanks to the Freedom Caucus for holding his feet to the fire until they got what they wanted), but the superannuated Senate led by two ambulatory stereotypes, Chuck Schumer and Turtle McChao, is functionally dysfunctional, held periodic hostage by Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, and now boasting both a vegetable in John Fetterman and its very own Lady Gaga in Dianne Feinstein. There is much talk of partition, even of civil war. Yet most of us continue to believe in America; like the movie version of Eliot Ness, we've sworn to do "everything within the law" to try and right the ship of state before, like all previous democracies, it sinks beneath the waves of historical reality"Funny how Walsh uses a phrase straight out of the opening --the very first line in fact -- of The Godfather where the undertaker, Amerigo Bonasera does everything right and the country and system that he "believes in" stabbed him in the back. So where does he go? And where do WE go? As I stated and has been illustrated above, if we attempt to engage in a peaceful protest, we lose because it results in Reichstag Fire 2: Biden's Enabling Act Boogaloo, and would have had we taken the bait on J6 after the intentional killing of Ashli Babitt and Roseanne Boyalnd, and the physical assaults carried out by cops and Glowies on the peaceful crowd. But if we do nothing after each and every stolen or sabotaged election, after schools abuse our children, after we are silenced or fired for wrong-think, and on and on and on, we ultimately wind up in the same place. Behind a new iron curtain. In this case, an Ironic Curtain given the circumstances and players involved in the original's demise. And yet, here we are talking about Trump alternately coming up with gems like his trade package but then sticking his foot in his mouth with puerile name-calling of his opponents and worse, making the now immutable historic fact of the 2020 stolen election his central campaign pillar of 2024, as well as the attributes and negatives of DeSantis, as well as the ridiculousness of the rest of the pack as it takes shape, as if elections and regular order still is the status quo. Leftist agitators and their Democrat (ham 'n) eggers-on notwithstanding, Americans do not really care for politics. They care about being left alone to live their lives. And this has always been relatively easy because despite the economic vicissitudes of the past, we never really had to worry about where our next meal was coming from. That has now changed, given the past two years of near runaway inflation, the devaluing of our currency, the destruction of our all-important energy sector, the erasure of our borders and the increasingly feral nature of an illegitimate government whose policies are crumbling around them for all to see despite the best efforts of the Democrat-Propaganda Complex. When you got nothing, you got nothing left to lose. That applies equally to us and our oppressors as both our plans and worlds fall on our heads. And that day is fast approaching.

I read Walsh's essay a couple of times yesterday after you posted it. Hitherto he has seemed to me too passive and now he sounds ready to start throwing rocks, and I wonder what happened, what precipitated his apparent radicalization. Regardless, I agree, and between assaulting the Bill of Rights and arresting political opponents, the left is getting desperate. I actually saw the New Republic imply they think DeSantis should be arrested, and he hasn't even been through the usual Demofascist election/impeachment/impeachment/investigate endlessly cycle yet.

I've said more than once on this blog that the two most dangerous people in the world are those with EVERYTHING to lose and those with NOTHING to lose.
The first will go all out to protect all he has, especially his family. (e.g., Brian Mills in Taken) The second will go all out to take down those who destroyed his life. (e.g. John Wick) I'd pity the people who draw the ire of either man, but they deserve what they get. Posted by: "Perfessor" Squirrel at March 15, 2023 07:54 AM (YIVH2) 14

He noted cognitive behavioral therapy, used to treat depression, teaches patients to stop ruminating over perceived slights and setbacks and engaging in black and white thinking or emotional reasoning.
But the culture of DEI does exactly the opposite: It encourages students to dwell on slights, engage in (literal) black and white thinking and prioritize their emotions. It’s “reverse CBT,” in his phrase. It was the same as COVID. Every thing that you knew was wrong and harmful was broadcast as the best plan of action. Notice that every one of the ACTIONS was a physically visible move or requirement that supported the insanity and fear. And to think I was called the bad guy for 2 years. ++++ You see, it is in the nature of the end-to-end regime of manipulation and total control created by Trump's cult of personality to allow such superficiality to be disregarded when sussing out the actual message. Trump has a cult leader's influence over his slack-jawed followers, and they know his true intention as well as he does. He can mouth words that *sound* benign, but those on the inside of his cult know how to translate them and, crucially, to redistribute them. It has to do with the flow of the words, with the diction. Trump said to walk over to the Capitol and protest, peacefully. There is a pause between those words - between "protest" and "peacefully" and this is the signal that the final word is not to be considered and that "protest" is itself code. As the furor began to wane - wane because the Trumpists are paper tigers who thankfully lack courage - Trump's embeds had to reiterate and reemphasize the message. In their internal cult language, it's all very clear. Posted by: Leftist Activist, with full sincerity at March 15, 2023 07:59 AM (t0OGg) 27

What the Democrats had planned on J6 — January 6, 2021, the day the votes were made official at the Capitol, never happened.
++++ I disagree with the premise. The more I think about what happened on Jan 6, and the more I learn about it, the more I think that they didn't plan for what happened, but the response since then has been in response to what they *feared* would happen. The thought there would be a riot. They thought the building might burn. They thought they might die. Not during the event or its aftermath, but *before* it happened at all. They had reason to fear that what did not happen would have happened. The fear was rational, because it is what they know from their own side. When their drones get together, they burn and loot and murder with impunity. They wouldn't have kept to the path and tried to calm tensions, they would have lit torches. They expected the same of their opponents. They bought their own propaganda about Trump supporters, blended it with their experience of how their own side "protests" and were scared to death at the prospect. J6 happened exactly the way I thought it would happen.
The left built it up like there was going to be a riot. And had agents in the crowd to provoke incidents. None of those incidents would result in an actual riot, but they would be trumped up into something. The only thing I got wrong is that I thought AntiFa would be the agents, but in retrospect, it may have forced the feds to arrest one of their allies, and it was too risky.
++++ One does what one must to survive in a tyrannical system. Do what you can locally. Protect your own neighborhood. Don't call the cops, and don't cooperate with them. Minimize your interaction with that tyranny and recruit members of your community to build a sub-community with minimal dependence on and interaction with the system. Not illegal, but uncooperative. Neighborhood watches instead of calling cops, community farms where you buy direct, homeschooling or cooperative schools to keep kids out of their clutches. Informal churches that aren't registered. We are in a tyranny and if you have not the means or methods to fight that tyranny directly, then subversion and action at the local level is the best way to become state-resistant. The collapse of multiple banks, the potential folding of start-ups and the general unease in the economy all suggest the Fed is on the “cusp of a soft, safe landing,” CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Tuesday. Posted by: andycanuck (Vwz3I) at March 15, 2023 07:59 AM (Vwz3I) ++++ Cramer is slow on the uptake. Powell himself was talking about a "soft landing" in the middle of last *year.* It's code. They always, without exception, believe that they will manage a "soft landing" and this time will be different. Never, ever believe that. There is no such thing as a "soft landing." It has never happened and it never will happen. The Fed is not powerful enough or smart enough to accomplish such a feat, nor is the People's Bank of China, nor is the European Central Bank, nor is Bank of Japan or the Reserve Bank of Australia or the Bank of England. None of them can do it. It is a fiction. When these outfits talk about "soft landings," they are acknowledging the problems they cannot control and asserting with hopeful blindness that they will control them anyway. When you hear these central bankers talk about "soft landings," batten down the hatches. Posted by: andycanuck (Vwz3I) at March 15, 2023 07:58 AM (Vwz3I) ++++ I don't doubt it, but that isn't relevant. Any test that ChatGPT takes is, by definition, an open-book test. It can look up the answers. As long as it interprets the question correctly, it can just go look up the answer and vomit out reformulated prose. Could ChatGPT be exposed to the content once, with perhaps 50% average retention in an incomplete mental network, and still pass the exam? I don't know. But an AI with a vast database taking a standardized test and doing well isn't very impressive. Watson's performance on "Jeopardy" is more impressive than that, because Watson had to parse a very complicated question - often with a pun - in order to go do the database search. Pence's "run" for President is nothing more than a ploy to try and salvage his reputation. He is using it as a platform to garner attention. It's clear he can't possibly win and his reputation with Republican voters is terrible. He's at the bottom of every poll, and the people around him know it.
You can argue whether or not Pence had the authority to send the votes back to the states. Personally I think it's very questionable- and dangerous constitutionally. As we detailed earlier, Credit Suisse Group AG's shares reached their lowest point ever, dropping by as much as 10%. This is the eighth consecutive session of decline, which comes in the wake of restructuring issues, delays in submitting its annual report due to 'material weakness' flagged by the SEC last week, and a broader industry selloff following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. In addition to these challenges, the troubled Swiss bank now faces a new problem: its top shareholder has said they will not invest any further due to the sharp decline in valuations.

One of the problems, in my opinion, is all of these banks being publicly-traded. Investment banks never used to be, and that kept them a bit more sane. They were private affairs with partners who had vast amounts of skin in the game. Recklessness would wipe them out. Once they became publicly-traded, they could play with house money. Once they merged with the commercial banks, they could play with vast amounts of house money, complete with a government backstop for the retail business (the FDIC).
Glass-Steagal did a good thing when it severed investment banking from commercial banking, and investment is far safer when it isn't publicly-traded. There is far less moral hazard and a lot more individual, personal liability for the officers when investment banks are betting their own money. Posted by: andycanuck (Vwz3I) at March 15, 2023 08:40 AM (Vwz3I) ++++ Hmmmmmmmmm. So, America will get "off of coal," thus eliminating domestic demand for our extremely high-quality coal stocks. Other places - like parts of Europe, much of Africa and much of Asia - will keep using it and their usage will only increase. Australia and South Africa can only provide so much and so there will still be near-limitless demand for thermal and metallurgical coal, which we still have a lot of. So when we sell it abroad instead of using it domestically because domestic use is forbidden, that will look great on the trade balance sheet and, thankfully, overseas emissions don't actually count... The Bulwark's Charlie Sykes even understands how lame Pence is, talking about his Gridiron remarks:
Profiles in Half-Courage I’d link to the video or audio of Mike Pence’s remarks on Saturday night, but alas, there is none. Which is kind of a tell, isn’t it? Mike Pence’s Big Moment took place in a room full of media types and politicos, without cameras. The crowd loved it, giving him a partial standing-O. Unfortunately, it was arguably the worst possible focus group in America for a Republican presidential candidate. Pence is a former governor and vice president of the United States. He is a solid conservative, beloved by the Christian Right, anti-woke before it was super-cool, and and a hyper-loyal defender of the entire Trump agenda. In some ways, he is also an American hero. So, from the GOP’s point of view, what’s not to like? Why isn’t Pence a strong front-runner? Why is he, instead, utterly hopeless? One reason: Mike Pence refused to aid and abet the coup. And in the modern GOP that remains the one irredeemable sin. Posted by: Intrepid Democratic Underground AoS Liaison at March 15, 2023 08:58 AM (JCZqz) 226

Never underestimate the power of bribes and the promise of sinecures. I'm still a bit haunted by how easy it was for Germany to switch back to coal. Its not like there is this vast network of warehouses storing nation-wide levels of coal on demand. They had to disrupt other systems and inject themselves into other existing supply chains. Which is what they did in South Africa. Germany managed to reroute compliant coal destined for ZA coal fired power plants to German coal plants that instantly came out of moth balls and were available. (which explains the nation-wide power failures in ZA) I'm convinced that there is a gross mismatch in what garbage news we are fed and what is provided to the WEF/Davos crowd and what the State acts upon. And those fools believed us. The push to mover NATO eastward has been a bi-partisan foreign policy disaster for decades. Graham, McCain and Biden were 3 of the leading politicians screwing around in Ukraine and Georgia and the two still alive continue to push this idiotic policy that was always going to lead to confrontation with Russia. No big surprise that one of the people asked to eulogize McCain at his DC funeral was the former president of Ukraine. It was also the source of much of the crap used to go after Trump and his campaign in 2016. Trump was opposed to the military industrial/intel community moves in the region and so he was fair game to them. Posted by: JackStraw at March 15, 2023 09:08 AM (ZLI7S) 276
And to make what should be an obvious point - the Hyatt's liquor license was pulled because that's the limit of what a Governor, acting through his appointees, can do directly. A Governor can *ask* for a criminal investigation, but no US Governor has the legal power to order anyone's arrest.

My observation is we have so much money and nothing to invest in. This is what killed SVB, that and their inbred snobbishness and self virtue. But oddly, SVB had $189B dollars in value and could not find anywhere to put that money to constructive use to earn SVB's keep. Then their $20B of Treasuries ate their bank. Lesson Learned - do not become this stupid. Stupid hurts but it seems to only hurt those that weren't stupid. Welcome to Obamaville run by a senile puppet.

Well, that's the question, isn't it? In a battle between good and evil, with the law having gone over to the side of evil -- as it had in the gangland Chicago of the 1920s and '30s -- what are the good guys prepared to do?
Similar to the theme in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight". In "Batman Begins", Bruce Wayne is told that it is not enough to have the skills to fight, you have to have the will to act. That describes the majority of the right in this country today. Many have the knowledge and good intentions, but hardly anyone has the will to act to do anything about which everyone complains. Because to act puts one at risk of cancellation, puts family at risk, puts livelihood and life at risk. In "The Dark Knight", the Joker tells Batman that he "will have to break his one rule" in order to defeat his enemy. BATMAN: I have one rule. JOKER: Then that's the one rule you'll have to break to know the truth. BATMAN: Which is? JOKER: The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules. And tonight you're gonna break your one rule. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at March 15, 2023 09:13 AM (Do5/p) 310

Saint of the Day
St. Louise De Marillac (1591-1660) was born in Paris, France to a noble family and received her education at a Dominican convent. Her mother died shortly after her birth, and her father when she was sixteen. It was then necessary for her to decide her vocation, and being dissuaded from entering religious life by her spiritual director, as was her desire, she married and bore a son. Two years later her husband died after a long illness. During this time she met a holy priest, St. Vincent de Paul, and placed herself under his spiritual direction. Through his influence she worked among the poor and disadvantaged in Paris, and co-founded the Sisters of Charity with him in 1642. After writing their rule of life she traveled around France establishing her new religious order to work in hospitals, orphanages, and other institutions that aided the poor. She was especially gifted at spiritual guidance and served as the superior of the Sisters of Charity in Paris until her death. St. Louise De Marillac is the patron saint of social workers, the sick, widows, and against the loss of parents. Her feast day is March 15th. The problem for SVB was that it had ~$120B of new money. One of the things to be done is quit calling our REPUBLIC a democracy. The founding Fathers went to great pains to emphasize it is a republic.
So define it properly. Something else while you're winding up to fix things is to read (or reread) the Declaration of Independence and then emulate it. Let the shit fly where it will, emulation will get us well down the path to resolution. Posted by: irongrampa at March 15, 2023 09:55 AM (KATBx) 513

The idea behind EOs is that the President sometimes need to address emergencies, and he works full-time, where Congress doesn't. They were supposed to be positively affirmed at the nearest convenience, IIRC. But, like everything else in American history, the authoritarian statists gutted it and wore it around demanding respect. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice --------- Executive orders were used from the start of the Republic and are similar to Britain's Orders in Council. But, in both cases, the powers are delegated from the greater body--in the president's case--the Constitution and Congress (and by inference the Courts by blessing such arrangements), or from Parliament itself (at least since the Glorious Revolution). They have counterparts in multiple nations where decreed law from an authority such as the French President are given co-equal or even greater impact than laws passed by the legislature. This is an old device used by monarchs or other so-called strong leaders. Increasingly, in the West, executive orders are morphing into kingly decrees which becomes lawmaking under another name. CNN, 11/1/16, in part: ... the White House began the laborious process of transferring all of ...Obama’s records – to the National Archives, which under federal law takes ownership..
At the downtown Washington Archives headquarters on Tuesday, uniformed US service members were busy loading palettes of cardboard boxes stuffed with Obama administration records onto orange forklifts. The boxes, which were carefully catalogued with green slips of paper and wrapped in clear plastic, were shuttled from a loading dock and into the back of a white Ryder moving van, which departed the building destined for a secure warehouse. That means hundreds of millions of records must be transferred from the White House to the Archives before Obama finishes his term. The physical material will go from Washington into temporary storage at a secure warehouse ... before eventually being moved into Obama’s presidential library.. Also included in the handoff: the tens of thousands of gifts (including millions in jewels...) Obama has received ...to officially remain in the “complete ownership, possession and control” of the government." Joe got away? Study: Vitamin D Reduces Dementia Risk by 40%
******* As usual the headline misrepresents the actual findings of the study. Vit D certainly could have some benefits in regard to cognitive decline, but this study does not prove that. Was not a prospective study, it was a longitudinal retrospective study, involving data mining and self-reporting on vitamin D intake from a population enrolled in a group of Alzheimer's Research Centers. And those are just the weaknesses noted on a quick read-through. Feh! Posted by: Muldoon at March 15, 2023 10:28 AM (ykeLU) 702

I remember a few people having both mini and maxi strokes in their 30 and 40s way back. Not saying anything positive about the vaxxes but it's beginning to sound like the equivalent of blaming everything on Trump.
Posted by: Biden's Dog ---------- Excess deaths are being documented across the globe in country after country that vaxxed its population and insurance company actuaries reported this phenomenon early on and it is largely composed of younger people dying from heart/blood related diseases, pulmonary disease, and to a much lesser extent cancer. Essentially the mRNA vaxx hacked the immune system and that hack because it was not a sterilizing vaccination, has left people in worse health than if they had gotten covid but no vaxx. We don't know what the franken vaxx aftereffects are from the J&J and Astra but so far mainly seem to be in the heart/blood disorders so far. That used the adenovirus as a carrier. Just as you cannot say all deaths are vaxx related, you cannot say that a particular death was NOT vax related due to level of analysis issues (ecological fallacy). “And yet, here we are talking about Trump alternately coming up with gems like his trade package but then sticking his foot in his mouth with puerile name-calling of his opponents and worse, making the now immutable historic fact of the 2020 stolen election his central campaign pillar of 2024, as well as the attributes and negatives of DeSantis, as well as the ridiculousness of the rest of the pack as it takes shape, as if elections and regular order still is the status quo.“
Stop blaming Trump, he had an American Presidency stolen from HIM and us, which has left us with an horrid shit show even I didn’t imagine…and all he got was mocked and ridiculed by not only the left, but the so called right. How ridiculous would it be to not make that front and Center! He won’t be governing naively again . We know who the “Brutus” are now, at least we have a good idea and WE MUST HAVE VENGEANCE!
