Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Mike Pence: Tucker Carlson Is Lying With His J6 Video; "History Will Hold Donald Trump Accountable" for His Election DenialI understood why Donald Trump chose Mike Pence as VP candidate. He thought he could get Establishment buy-in from Pence, and the list of people willing to be Trump's VP was small. Trump has a lot of trouble getting people to work for him/with him. A lot of people just cheer Trump's penchant for outrageousness and outright offensiveness, but there is a cost to it. It's not all just upside and making libs cry. A lot of c*cky Republicans just outright refuse to be associated with him, which leaves him wanting for bodies to staff a government with. But even so... Pence was another hiring disaster. I can't prove this, but I have heard and heard and heard that a big source of negative leaks about Trump, throughout the entire Trump presidency, were from Pence's office. Not Pence himself necessarily, but, according to rumor, he came in with a full staff of firebreathing NeverTrump Establishment c*cks. And now here's Pence to act as the Regime's fake conservative Hallelujah Chorus. PoliticsGod hates a cvck, Pence. If you were actually listening to God, you'd know that. Shockingly -- or maybe not -- the FBI has not only allegedly reading the emails of a Proud Boys protester's lawyer, but has also deleted internal FBI messages about the defendant's case that they were required by law to disclose to the defense. The messages spoke about the government doing things "improperly." I know none of you believe this because you have so much faith in the straight-arrow straight-shooters of the FBI, but give the thread a read anyway. Julie KellyThat doesn't sound very much like the FBI at all! Isn't it an awful coincidence that the Regime is going after right-wing people for rioting, when they celebrated the left's riots as "the voice of the unheard"? It's no coincidence at all, says Kyle Shideler of the Center for Security Policy. Just as Hillary Clinton needed an answer to her own national security investigation and dialed up the completely-invented "Trump is a Russian Agent" scam to deflect from her own crimes, so too is the DOJ now dialing up some Very Dangerous and Scary Pro-Life Protesters so you don't notice the antifa and Jane's Revenge firebombers. Shideler:
The midwits and halfwits are still shrieking "But Jacob Chansely pleaded guilty!" Chansley was held without trial, in solitary confinement, for 317 (THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN) days. And after that period of isolation and torture, he signed whatever they demanded. "Not sure of your point." We tortured a man until he signed a piece of paper, and that's all my bureaucratic insect-level mind needs as far as proof. And also, this is just like the guy who shot up the church. (I guess 9/11 analogies are running out of shock value.) LOL. Oh, and the J6 prisoners have formed a Prisoner Choir and recorded a song, "Justice for All," featuring an appearance from President Trump. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

GOPes as a rule are a disorganized mob of weaselly quislings. PA GOPe leader Val diGiorgio had to resign in disgrace after his texts with a Ukrainian honeypot were splashed on the front page of the Philadelphia Inquirer. I mean, the entire front page was devoted to screenshots of those texts. This past year he wholeheartedly endorsed professional demorat Josh Shapiro for Governor. Why? His wife, who had formed pro-Trump group "Latinos for Trump", in 2016...landed a cushy job in demorat Governor Shapiro's office. Why Pence Went Hard at Trump his advisers saw the Gridiron dinner as an opportunity not just to echo those sentiments but to amplify them. They also believed it would help Pence win over his most skeptical audience these days: Washington insiders and journalists who have given him short shrift in the early 2024 primary.”
“Pence world has long believed that the former congressman and Indiana governor could occupy the adult-in-a-room 2024 lane, in that he is uniquely positioned to speak truth to power now that he is free of the constraints of the vice presidency.” If he supposedly went hard at Trump, why don't he testify under oath to the DOJ? Does anyone remember anything Pence actually accomplished as VP? His public role seemed to be either to gaze adoringly at Trump during his rambling word salads or to nod favorably as if Trump were saying something that made sense. Everything I've sinevthen seen only expands upon and confirms what I already saw on my own. There must be tens of millions like me. Everything these pricks do -- locking up J6 protestors incommunicado, lying about J6, lying about COVID, censorship, trying to railroad Trump into jail, is further evidence that they know they stole it. DanMa'am found an essay by a blogger named 'regitiger' last week that showned up on CTH last night.
I believe the essay is what has caused Pence to erupt. The optics of Jan6 was to create a crisis that would stop the two motions that were planned to challenge the 2020 elections. Stopping the introductions of the motions was critical to keeping the arguments contained in them from being introduced to the SC. It worked. Posted by: DanMan at March 13, 2023 03:47 PM (DB6tu) 131
>>>I understood why Donald Trump chose Mike Pence as VP candidate. He thought he could get Establishment buy-in from Pence, and the list of people willing to be Trump's VP was small.
That's not how VP selection works. The delegates at the convention pick them. The Establishment gave Trump some options, and he went with Pence. Posted by: lizzy at March 13, 2023 *** In college we did our production of Arsenic with a twist. The director cast an actress as Teddy. This was long long before trans-anything. It was just that the actress was (a) funny, (b) built sort of like Teddy Roosevelt anyway, and (c) if the character is supposed to be delusional enough to believe he's TR, why couldn't a woman be just as crazy? It worked out great. On opening night somebody asked Wilhelmina, the actress, what she thought of the character. Pence is a politician, which by definition means he is an opportunist. I would not be overly harsh on him for this--he was surely being an opportunist when he latched on to Trump's campaign as VP when not a lot of people would. This was not a charity case for Pence--he was a low-profile guy on the national scale, so he had little lose and much to gain. And his boring, non-threatening demeanor and affect probably did help lend some credibility to Trump during the 2016 campaign--given the margin, maybe enough to net him the win.
Pence continues to be the opportunist now. The GOPe has revealed itself and is going full-out to thwart Trump (I suspect they will succeed). Pence obviously knows this, and his opportunity now is to ingratiate himself to that wing. Trump doesn't need Pence anymore (and obviously wouldn't have him anyway) so there really isn't a role for Pence anyway. It's unfortunate that Pence seems to be going "the full McCain" here, but that's his real mistake, IMO. Posted by: Mad Max in VA at March 13, 2023 03:51 PM (YQ4mh) 151

We understand the desire - even the necessity - of using pejoratives and other forms of negative language to describe one's enemies or opponents. This is a vital part of the human condition and communication. We do not wish to discourage such essential activity.
We do, however, want to request that you kindly reconsider the pejoratives you use. Calling others "asshole" denigrates actual assholes. We understand that they're dirty and smelly and gross, but they perform a vital function. There is no mechanism to expel solid waste from the body without an asshole. Without the asshole, life as we know it ends. The asshole is vital and important. Even if it is unpleasant, its importance cannot be understated. It is a positive, not a negative. To take such an important an unsung part of the anatomy and apply it worthless bastards like Pence is to do a grave disservice to a biological function that sustains life. Pence is one of those harlequins who won't brook any middle ground. While I believe he didn't have some of the power that Trump professes, he had an obligation to stand up against what was some clear voter fraud and constitutional violations and usurpations of power that led to the election outcome. Just once, I would like someone to ask Pence if he really believes Biden received 81 million legitimate votes. Furthermore, there were clearly some people who broke the law and deserve to be in prison for J6. But I wonder, Mikey, do you really probable believe it was an insurrection, and that violating people's civil rights for minor charges or with unwarranted pre trial solitary detention is- warranted?
Pence entire entrance in the primary is nothing more than a flaccid attempt to save his destroyed reputation. It won't work. The only people who love him are Democrats and the media, because he's become another ventriloquist dummy. Posted by: Marcus T at March 13, 2023 03:57 PM (8Voqu) 187

Trumps experience with his many Republican appointees highlights the problem that every outsider candidate is going to have, be that outsider a popular Republican governor of Florida or someone else. Namely, the Republicans hate outsiders, and they will try to sabotage outsiders. And if said candidate is not an outsider, then he is by definition an insider who will betray us every single fucking time. See, e.g., Mitt Romney, John McCain, George W. Bush, etc. etc. etc.

If not, 5 seconds on a search engine would lay it out for you. The vice presidential candidates of the major national political parties are formally selected by each party's quadrennial nominating convention, following the selection of the party's presidential candidate. The official process is identical to the one by which the presidential candidates are chosen, with delegates placing the names of candidates into nomination, followed by a ballot in which candidates must receive a majority to secure the party's nomination. https://is.gd/XnkD7K The presidential candidate does not have the choice. Of course, it is better politically for all involved if everyone plays nice instead of the presidential candidate publicly saying he want one person and the convention just as publicly saying no, this is who you get. I lean toward this did happen AS THEY SAY IT HAPPENED. But my mind can't conceive of how it was accomplished. Esp with the pending charges. I know of no other case where the system itself and almost all those outside conspired to allow this. And after it happened continued to conspire to perpetuate it.
In modern practice, the presidential nominee has considerable influence on the decision, and since the mid 20th century it became customary for that person to select a preferred running mate, who is then nominated and accepted by the convention. Hey f***wit. I notice you left off the next part. I'm sure that was just an oversight, though. Posted by: Archimedes at March 13, 2023 04:25 PM (eOEVl) 366

45s Those of us privileged enough to serve the people of this great nation know a decent, honorable man when we see one; a man of unassailable morality , exemplary public service and unimpeachable personal integrity. Mike Pence embodies all of the attributes that makes America the last best hope for mankind, and it would be an honor to see him chosen as the Republican Presidential nominee in 2024 Posted by: JoeF. at March 13, 2023 04:38 PM (mR6Gs) 423

Anyone who reads Naomi Wolfe's article apologizing to conservatives (linked in JJ's morning read this AM) and doesn't have doubts about the official narrative, either has the brain cells of an amoeba or is simply a totally committed "by any means necessary" leftist.

Congress just passed a rare bipartisan bill overturning a new soft-on-crime law in Washington, DC. And yet they don't lift a finger to help crime-ridden cities in the rest of the country. Doesn't this remind you of how Congress is punishing the J6 protesters but won't do a thing about the 2020 summer riots? When their personal safety is involved, then Congress will come down on you like a ton of bricks. But when it's about the safety of people anywhere else, they couldn't care less. That video of senators running out of the Capitol says it all. They're all just chickensh*ts worried about their own hides. The rest of us can go pound sand.

There is a menu of people who should never be welcome at a Republican gathering ever again. McConnell is one, his wife is another, Betsy deVos is a third, and Pence is a fourth.

Deuce, for allegedly being a somewhat tough guy anonymously insulting the NeverTrump crowd and the eGOP; and loving VDH’s reference to this blog for being critical, you come across as weak. Limp-wristed, and too often out-of-touch bordering on dim bulb territory.
Trump has trouble having established Republican politicians, staff members, and campaign consultants work for him because they don’t support his policies. And when they are hired by Trump or a member of his staff; as you note, more often then not they undermine him and his policy objectives. However, because President Trump was the first successful, breakthrough, America First candidate for President (succeeded where Pat Buchanan came up short) there was NO bench of fellow politicians or staffers to help him staff up his Administration. I’m honestly not sure if this situation is any better in 2023. However, I do know that your latest crush (Deuce, get that brown stuff on your nose you got sniffing DeSanctus’ butt, it’s disgusting dude) would be as big a disappointment in foreign policy, immigration policy, and economic policy as George W. Bush. It’s obvious. Posted by: Dummy #43 at March 13, 2023 07:59 PM (FkMTW) 434
Hey Deuce, how much you want to bet DeSanctus doesn’t give a shit about the J6 political prisoners and wouldn’t be caught dead being seen as being sympathetic to their plight, because they supported the wrong guy. So fuck them. Right? Yes, right.
Posted by: Dummy #43 at March 13, 2023 08:03 PM (FkMTW) 435
OTOH, I haven't seen Trump doing much to help the J6 political prisoners either.

Never looking at evidence that proves massive, coordinated election fraud must be the media definition of "baseless claims" these days. Of course, given what laughably passes for journalistic integrity, is anyone surprised?
No one though, is surprised at all by Mike Pence's lack of integrity or adherence to the truth. And that is what history will remember, despite the Mike Pences, Mike Millers and other pieces of shit named Mike or otherwise who LIE to uphold a corrupt sysytem of political criminals. Posted by: Tracy at March 14, 2023 12:37 AM (x58Cx) 437
Richard Cranium, President Trump is providing legal help to many January 6 detainees who can't provide their own but the media doesn't mention it. You can definitely look it up. Just saying man.
