105 One month after the first Q4 GDP estimate surprised to the upside, coming in at 2.9% vs expectations of a 2.6% number, moments ago things gradually reverted to normalcy for a Biden admin that has seen its fair share of grossly manipulated economic data, when the BEA reported in its 2nd estimate of Q4 GDP that the economy actually grew almost as expected one month ago, revising the GDP print to a 2.7% (2.68% to be precise) increase from 2.9%.

106 Is Bucks County PA, GOP using by-laws to thwart MAGAs? Party chair calls 'bombshell' report lies

Meehan claims a key finding of his investigation is that the “country club” GOP leadership checks the power of the party’s noisy MAGA wing, in part, by keeping an estimated 100 to 200 committee seats empty, of some 600 seats available. Without those seats filled, the required two-thirds quorum can’t be attained, and the by-laws the party has used since 1972 stay in place. The empty positions, Meehan said, are disproportionately located in Falls and Bristol townships.

His style evolved like most other artists. This was also an era where art movements developed fast and faded within a few years. Early Modernists would have had sampled many of the popular styles during their careers before settling on what they were most known for. Picasso was a classicist, then moved into Post-Impressionism and Fauvism, before finally co-founding Cubism.

143 Exactly as predicted. China is turning from BRI goodwill salesman to leg breakers. In the end, they'll lose their "investment". You don't give money to people who can't pay it back.

But as its borrowers fail to pay up, China is finding that its newfound authority is coming at a price. Eager to recoup its money, Beijing is transitioning from generous investor to tough enforcer—and jeopardizing the very goodwill that it tried to build with initiatives such as the BRI. China has broken a few bones in Sri Lanka, whose financial turmoil allowed Beijing to seize control of a strategic port, and is hassling Pakistan, Zambia, and Suriname for repayment.

212 A gunman opened fire on two television journalists reporting on a murder near Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday, killing one and wounding the other before fatally shooting a 9-year-old girl and wounding her mother in a nearby home, authorities said.

A suspect identified as Keith Melvin Moses, 19, was arrested shortly after the assaults on the TV news team and the mother and daughter, about a block away from each other, in the Orlando suburb of Pine Hills, said Orange County Sheriff John Mina.

The trees are such fast growers that they were always looking like proper trees again in very short time.

260 I clicked on the art thread by force of habit. I am trying to tame my ASHQ addiction during Lent. However, since I am here, that is a lovely painting . Fall is my favorite time of year.

And I would like me to share something that happened this morning . I was going to do something at the municipal bldg this morning and there were several guys from the county parks department outside . I think they may have been taking down snow storm fencing. Anyway, one Latino guy was smiling and laughing, and I said "It's early in the morning and it looks like you're having a good day so far. I hope the rest of the day goes well too." He smiled and responded, " Well, I'm still alive" and went on his way. Then I went to do a rather repetitive task and since I was the only one there I played Handel's Messiah on my cell phone, which is great music to listen to anytime, but particularly when doing a repetitive task. I am thankful to good for great musicians such as Handel and Bach who have helped lift my spirits or get me to think.

I think I've see "knifeman" used, though not in the MFM, to describe a killer whose preferred weapon is just that. As for "gunman," apparently at one point in the Old West, the term was "gun man," i.e., a man who lived by the use of his gun. The term has been telescoped since then.

"Shooter" sounds a lot sillier.

370 Read he is regarded as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. He was very measured, worked in a pattern but IDK, is the painting the meaning of life, i.e., aimless wandering, picking one's own path?

I need to go back & read comments from the artistic ones & how they're summarizing this piece. It's not off the wall & could probably also fit into any decor, but it's blah (to me) I don't think I'd hang it.

Thanks.
