Bankman-Fried's Bail Guarantors Revealed

The ONT has covered this topic in the past. It isn't easy being a farmer. And like a broken clock, the Biden Regime is right to back up the farmer against John Deere.

President Biden’s Department of Justice has formally made its position known on a class action filed against John Deere over farmers’ right to repair their tractors.

John Deere owns 53 percent of the market share for tractors in the U.S. and has become notorious among farm workers for using monopolistic practices when it comes to repairs. Last month, Forest River Farms launched a class action lawsuit against John Deere accusing them of violating antitrust laws with its repair policies, including putting software locks on their tractors and restricting access to repair tools. In a “Statement of Interest” filed Monday, the DOJ sided with plaintiffs and forcefully disagreed with Deere’s analysis of antitrust law.

Go and sin no more.

2023’s Most Sinful States in America

Red states and blue states may like to point to one another as the source of all that is wrong with the U.S., but the truth is that each of the 50 states has its own virtues and vices. For example, West Virginia has the worst drug problem, and it certainly comes as no surprise that Nevada is the most gambling-addicted.

The cost of state sins is something we have to share as a nation, though. Gambling alone costs the U.S. about $5 billion per year. That’s nothing compared to the amount of money we lose from smoking, though – over $300 billion per year. Harmful behavior on the individual level can add up to staggering economic costs on a national scale.

USERS FURIOUS AS AI GIRLFRIEND APP SUDDENLY SHUTS DOWN SEXUAL CONVERSATIONS
HONESTLY, THIS IS PRETTY SAD

After lots of bad press, the Replika artificial intelligence chatbot app has turned off its horny texting capabilities — and man, are the AI wife guys pissed.

As Know Your Meme points out, Replika's removal of its NFSW mode isn't just causing the usual amount of internet dude pathos. Some even say it's making them literally suicidal.

I'm not sure why they call it a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). There isn't much sporting going on with a 92 mile range.

Japanese automakers have been late to the electric vehicle game across the board, offering a limited number of EVs and plug-in hybrid models as both demand and the market in the US grow.

Just this year, Mazda released its very first North American EV model, the 2022 Mazda MX-30 SUV, with rumored plans to release a rotary range-extending engine to the model line in January of next year.

I spent a week with the small, stylish, and fun to drive all-electric vehicle, and while it’s got some really thoughtful design-forward looks and it’s great on the road, Mazda’s first all-electric crossover is, sadly, a pretty big disappointment.

He was a member of the Paul Butterfield band and Electric Flag and had played on Bob Dylan's album Highway 61 Revisited. I wonder if it was a first date. One of Two, Genius Award Winners.

A man who wanted an early-morning snack after a night of drinking has been banned from driving.

Liam Smith, 20, was spotted on his step-mum’s three-wheel e-scooter with a woman on the back at 4am on January 14.

He was then seen staggering into a branch of McDonald’s in the Three Counties Retail Park in Malvern, Worcestershire, by police officers called out to another incident.

They breathalysed him and he was found to be three times over the drink-driving limit.

Completely fvcked. 2nd of two Genius Award Winners.

A drunk man driving around five marked patrol cars and an ambulance with emergency lighting activated at the scene of an accident was found with illegal drugs and firearms in his fire vehicle authorities say.

Jimmie L. Phillips struck at least one of the police cars in the 300 block of Kingsley Road Lower Allen Township on Jan. 27 at 1:20 a.m., according to a release on Feb. 10 by area police.

Return of the prodigal dog. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

Lost dog finds her way back to former shelter, rings doorbell for help
Bailey not only made her way across the city to the shelter she used to live in — she also knew exactly how to let her old friends know she was there.

Hopefully, he didn't attempt to carry her over the threshold. That's a sport for young people. Our second Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

Morty, 93, and Alice, 91, held the vow renewal with family and friends on Tuesday at their home in Jericho, NY.

Morty and Alice actually met at a Valentine's Day party in their Bronx neighborhood in 1948. They tied the knot on February 4th, 1951.

The couple has one son and two daughters, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Congrats Morty and Alice. In a disposable society, nice to see you make it this far.

Under the terms of the bail package - which prosecutors said was one of the largest pretrial bonds in US history - the guarantors were to be “of considerable means” and one of them couldn’t be a relative.

It turns out, according to Bloomberg reporting, that Kramer and Paepcke had signed on as sureties for separate bonds of only $500,000 and $200,000, respectively.

111 Japanese automakers have been late to the electric vehicle game across the board, offering a limited number of EVs and plug-in hybrid models as both demand and the market in the US grow.
--------------
That is because the Japanese are smart business people and have always realized that electric cars will always be of limited value around the world, except for first world cities with dense populations. These areas already have electric grids built and the electric cars need only have to go 20 or 50 miles a day, not the multi-hundred mile distances common in Western states or when people set out on travels. Electric cars in these common examples are essentially worthless, if the value of time to recharge the battery is considered.

You have noticed that Ford laid off many thousands just a week or two ago while pushing the Gubbermint Electric Car concept to wary consumers, right?

I've delivered this rant before, so I apologize for repeating myself, but it cannot be stressed enough: doctors work for whoever pays them, and that's no longer the patients. There's really no such thing as a doctor-patent relationship at this point. They are someone else's agents. Why would they have a duty to do the patient no harm? Bland ethical commitments? Everyone obeys their paymasters.

For some reason a lot of people have trouble understanding this.

If your boss asks you to do something would you do it? Most people say, "of course!" And then you ask them why they think a cop, doctor, or government bureaucrat would act differently. And...for some people it breaks their thinking process.

The is especially irritating in regards to doctors - remember a major debate point in the 2012 election was Barack Obama complaining doctors were so low they'd amputate your foot for a little extra money, but the people who STILL believe that think that if you believe their medical judgement will be clouded by lobbyists, their bosses, or the government you hate science or something

A Kurzweil type singularity will be hell on earth. The people who are building it and controlling it have made that clear. The happiest spin they put on it is they will give you The Matrix.

It's a weird sci-fi flick from the 1970s starring Sean Connery. Dystopian future where an immortal elite rule over a squabbling brutal lower caste system, who are encouraged to slaughter each and only procreate in order to create more soldiers for killing the peasants. Gets made fun of a lot (mainly for Connery's costume), but it's a surprisingly layered and nuanced film.

I appreciate and agree with Left Coast Dawg, she's been pretty much a part of my cognizant life. I saw 'Fantastic Voyage' in the theaters as a 10-year-old with my sister, a tag along little brother. When the suckers attached themselves to Raquel Welch in a skin-tight swim suit, well, that certainly got this 10-year-old's attention.

170 Now I think they are all just incompetent buffoons. And lying. Everything is a lie.

I suspect there is indeed a bunch of stuff wrapped up in this, all based on lies, at you note.

I remember in the 70s and early 80s people were reporting silent, fast, radar invisible V wing crafts in the skies. And the government went, "haha look at these idiots that think aliens are invading"

And then in 1988 they unveiled that was the B2 bomber.

I suspect some of other stuff people have seen have been other experimental/unrevealed American equipment.

I tend to think what we are seeing now is someone else's experimental/unrevealed equipment. Its not Russia - they are showing what they have in Ukraine. And I don't think China would sent up their stupid spy balloon at the same time as sending over advanced drones. So...who?

I'll want to see real detailed, chip and other component that it's Made in Chy-nah. It might be Chy-nah adjacent, coming from Singapore, Hong Kong or other entity trapped behind the Red Banner.

And there's going to be a fine line between "research" electronics, and "spying" bits. IF there's any line at all.

The lesser balloons? Sounds like a good High School engineering class could've done one or more?

236 Yeah, I do recall Chy-nah fessing up to the OG Balloon.

But I'll also stand by my assertion from this afternoon.

NO Heads Up Display footage from *any* of the shootdowns.

NO video or stills from the Guy In Back or F-22 wingman. And you know that a High Quality DSLR went up with each and every intercept. Intel boffins would REQUIRE getting those images for analysis.

Contrast with Gulf of Sidra F-14 kills on two Libyan MiGs. We were watching that grainy B&W HUD footage that night on the Evening Snooze. And that was in the late 1980s/early '90s, IIRC?

Now, though? They be hidin' & they be lyin'.

My taste buds fell in love with the pan fried rabbit in, of all places, one of Williamsburg's Historic District restaurants/taverns, The King's Arms Tavern (there are three each with slightly different menus; only TKAT served rabbit). Had it often over the years whenever I was near Williamsburg; it was great to hit it up out of season as there were no tourists (= no lines). Seared in a smaller cast iron pan, finished in the oven and served with that cast iron pan; 'yeah, it's hot, thanks for the warning'. My mouth waters whenever I think of that simple dish. And their peanut soup is to die for, served with the best Sally Lund Bread Snippets ever. You could also have a mug of grog or hot buttered rum. And pecan pie. Just because.

Fresh salad and hot ear of corn on the side, an ice-cold beer in a frosted mug, and the clinks of the glasses commenced the feast.

Here in NYC, to date (knock on my head), we've only had two trace snowfalls, basically covering parked cars, in Nov. and a couple of weeks ago. Wed. was 66 degrees. In a few days is my b-day. There were years where there were 'snowed-in' blizzards around my b-day. But this 'winter' has been extremely mild. One frigid cold snap for about three days. But very little freezing temperatures overall, even overnight. I have rarely seen random ice this winter.

Instead of continuing, though, we decided to watch the next episode of Farscape, which series we have been marathoning. The episode? "#408 - I Shrink Therefore I Am" a/k/a Honey I shrunk the crew. Hahhaha.

Bottle city of Kandor preceded them all.

323 Kitty, why are you galloping through my apartment?

324 Creatures smaller than a cat or bigger than a rhino seem to not be able to gallop.

325 I've never owned a pair of Crocs, but do have some plastic clogs for gardening-- hose them off and drip-dry FTW!

For my (final!) wedding, wore white western boots. That was my 'something borrowed'. Went well with the white leather chaps and vest.

Yes, assless chaps over dark blue jeans. Justice o' Peace weddin'. No shotgun tho.

330 JQ, I only did it once, almost forty years ago, I was the only girl in the family, so a subtle yet elegant wedding, but oh so very proper.

Have you designated YOUR Target #1 in your Local Matrix for when the SHTF?

TV or Gov or Agitator, or ?

Your choice. Speak to no one. Don't talk, DO.

Evidence is failure. Don't fail.

342 I ain't seen a genuine Shotgun Wedding.

Closest was at a Wedding Rehearsal. Very close to the full on real thing.

Time came for the Father to "give away the bride".

Wherein he had the auctioneer step out and commence the bidding, and ALL of the Grooms buddies in the congregation began to bid. Wasn't long till the bride's side joined in.

You have never seen a prospective bride shine so RED, in all of your days. Ever. Ain't possible. The Rehearsal Dinner after was a HOWL!

It got better.

The four Groosmen (by advance planning) picked up the tab for the Rehearsal Dinner, thus relieving the Bride's family of that particular expense. And the Groom's family, too.

Military people ain't Civilian people. Just sayin'.

349 Only 'sort of' bike wedding, Bers...

Hubby & I rode to courthouse. My dad & hubby's son were our witnesses. That's all.

Hubby wore jeans and white shirt, black leathers and leather do-rag.

I wore jeans and white blouse, white leathers and had hand-picked bouquet from my yard.

We had drinks afterward at Fapplebees
