Seth Dillon, Matt Walsh Push Back on Trans Extremists' Suicide Lies, and the Left Can't Stand It
Yesterday, I wrote about the counselor who just came clean about her time at the Washington University Gender Center. She noted that their go-to pressure tactic to bend parents to their gender-bender will was to demand, "Do you want an alive daughter or a dead son?"
The Missouri AG is investigating her claims now.A St. Louis transgender treatment clinic is under investigation for allegedly harming up to 600 children, after a whistleblower said doctors bullied parents into giving their kids irreversible hormone drugs, and even performed gender-transitioning surgeries on them. Jamie Reed, a former employee at the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital, alleged the hospital administered a litany of irreparable treatments to minors, often times without parental consent. Speaking about her claims Thursday night, Reed said doctors would use questions like 'Do you want a dead daughter or an alive son?' to suggest to parents of children seeking sex-transitions that not providing treatment could lead to suicide. Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey confirmed his office was launching an investigation into the hospital following Reed's claims, which he characterized as 'disturbing.' Bailey said his primary goal was to make sure children were not harmed by 'individuals who may be more concerned with a radical social agenda than the health of children.'Via Brett T from Twitchy, the Trans Extremists keep claiming that "gender affirming" care reduces suicide rates among "transgenders." But does it? No, it does not. There is literally no evidence for this, and very uggestive evidence that teen suicide rates have skyrocketed at the same time as the explosion in "gender affirming" care, which suggests that "gender affirming care" and suicide are in fact linked -- but directly. As in "gender affirming care" causes suicides.

It does not help having to stay on lifelong meds that aren't actually helping do anything except keep your body from rejecting your newfound "gender." Your body wants to be what it is, and like an organ transplant person, keeping the rejection of the different at bay is a ton of (probably to the transitioned) unexpected physical work and harm to the body day in and day out...it's like giving yourself a chronic physical condition on top of the mental one you already have...

It is a reasonable assumption and since it cannot be seriously studied (too non-progressive to ask the question), we have to go with "reasonable assumption" for lack of better options.
It's not the only thing. There are far more youth suicides than there are transgendered youth, and the massive and extremely alarming uptick in youth suicide tracks better, overall, with the rise of social media. Trangenderism is still fairly rare, even with its explosive popularity in the younger set. That, ironically, makes it *easier* to study because there are fewer people and fewer variables, but nobody wants to look under the covers because they fear what they would find.

Lifelong differences in impulse control can be detected in kindergarteners.
I'm not sure that it's purely an intelligence thing though. Also worth noting that like memory, while there are natural differences in aptitude, this is something can be trained.

And when they do realize what they've done and reach out to their new "family" for help, the trans movement's inevitable reaction (when they acknowledge it at all) is to say, "Look, you made a mistake. Clearly it wasn't anything to do with being transgender, it was just you. Why would you want to make things worse for other people? Deal with it and move on." No wonder so many off themselves.

This would only work if the minor child was schooled at a based private school. If the child attends public school and voiced their idea that they were born the wrong sex, you as a parent would be charged with some Woke-generated crime and your child might even be taken away from you if you didn't go along with this insanity.

True, but you needn't even go back that far. In 1980, suicides among youths (as defined as 15-19) was a bit over 12 per 100k. In 1990, it hit a generational high of just under 16 - the highest on record, and it bounced around at those levels until 1995. By 2000, it was down to a bit over 12. In 2010, is back to 1980 levels or a bit better. It started climbing inexorably in about 2013, and has since set record highs by meaningful margins.
Another interesting thing about the post-2013 upshoot in youth suicide is the sex breakdown. Men commit suicide *much* more than women, and this is true for youth suicide, too. When you look at the trend chart, female youth suicide *does* track male youth suicide, by to a much smaller degree and it's fairly weak. Until 2013, when both male and female youth suicide started shooting up at the same time and at similar rates.

Worse, a significant portion of that regret isn't about transitioning per se, but regret about not transitioning earlier.
In other words, not being able to "pass" as the other gender, and now believing that they could have passed had they begun during or before puberty.
That's one of the unspoken undercurrents of the entire "gender affirming" health care establishment. Some believe they aren't being aggressive enough in terms of very early intervention.

I would assume that all aspects of the youth mental health crisis are correlated with some other cause, most probably.
The "affirm or be responsible for suicide" thing has been on my pet peeve list for a long time for many reasons. Kids are self-diagnosing their depression and anxiety "if only I wasn't a girl" or "if only I wasn't a boy" my problems would go away. And then they don't.
It's illogical. I recall outrage when a trans-woman, iirc, was being buried with her "dead name" by her parents and implied was that her parent's failure to affirm was the cause, but this person HAD socially transitioned and was surrounded by affirmation. Parents disapproving of you doesn't cause suicide or the human race would have ended three steps out of the cave.

But even that is only one factor, I'm sure (though it's one of my favorite boogeymen and I *do* think that social media usage should be banned for minors). Critical theory and the woke wave that crashed through public ed at the same time is a factor, too. It would not surprise me. Our bodies are designed to work the way that they work. It is one reason dudes as they get older and their hormone levels drop (testosterone) start getting problems.
I cannot imagine shooting a woman up with the big T is a good way to go long term. It is like trying to run alcohol in a normal car. It might work, short term, but in the long run cause problems.*

I don't entirely agree. Suicide is an indicator that something is very, very wrong. If it is growing rapidly, it indicates that something is wrong more broadly in the society. This is doubly true when it comes to youth suicide. If youth suicide is shooting up dramatically, identifying why and trying to deal with it is not only good but possibly even necessary to improve the survivability of the culture.
Since the early 2010s, it's been skyrocketing and hitting record levels year after year. Something is very desperately wrong and, for the first time, those in charge don't even pretend to care about it.
