In 1993 South Africa we had a 9600 baud modem connection to another campus that had a similar connection to Fidonet in the USA. The first ever webpage we downloaded LINE-BY-LINE (you know, like Hollywood shows downloads in film) via Mosaic was a picture of Albert Einstein. In VGA color.

In the early '90s there were mailing lists where you discussed all sorts of stuff, like TV shows. Those migrated to Yahoo! Groups and now to LiveJournal (I'm guessing?).
The first Internet search I ever did in about '96 was for "Man From U.N.C.L.E." The second was for "Suzanne Somers." Strangely, there were more hits for the former than for the latter. Not many, but a couple. By '98 the numbers were completely reversed. As the truism goes, "The Internet was invented for two things: cat videos, and p0rn." 20 trillion dollars and a sound, family based society can buy a lot of zero-gee industries, insurance policies for humanity on space habitats, and a choke point to leave losing ideologies behind. Dr. A. Oveta Fuller, who served on the Food and Drug Administration’s vaccine and biological products advisory committee, played a key role in vetting and approving emergency use authorization for the COVID-19 vaccine. Fuller died Nov. 18 at age 67 from an illness not related to COVID-19, according to the University of Michigan Medical School, where she worked. From Politifact: (There was no autopsy and she was cremated) Multiple Instagram posts suggested that Fuller’s death was linked to COVID-19 vaccines. Fuller died from an illness not related to COVID-19, and there is no evidence linking the vaccine to her death. We rate this claim False. On Monday, NORAD commander Gen. Glen VanHereck told reporters that spy balloons entered US airspace three times during the Trump administration, but "that we did not detect those threats," calling it a "domain awareness gap." "Every day as a NORAD commander, it’s my responsibility to detect threats to North America. I will tell you that we did not detect those threats," VanHereck said. "And that’s a domain awareness gap that we have to figure out, but I don’t want to go into further detail." VanHereck then said that the US intelligence community was able to determine the Trump-era transits after the fact "from additional means that made us aware of those balloons that were previously approaching North America or transited North America."
