Shy Dog Cafe

shydoginflipflops.jpg

Is this real? The dog looks real but the ball looks fake. The incident that led to me becoming Lamont the Big Dummy has left me without any faith in what I naively believe to be "reality."

Neat bird. Probably fake.

Lost dog greeting owner after three week absence.

Kung fu fighting...

Sheep wants to play head-butts with little kid. Don't worry, he only gives the kid a soft butt.

Monkey sous-chef.

They can fly now?!

Rock paper scissors, with stakes.

Sea crashing hard against seawall.

Sundial pocketwatch, 17th century. Supposedly. I think I'm being punked again.

I don't know what it is, but it's gross and feels "spiderish."

He looks at it, shoots a couple elevations, tells me I need to knock a couple trees down and sets to work. Holes, pules of dirt, chaos for 2 days. Then, perfect. Deadpan flat perfectly compacted, drainage swales, building corners laid out, existing slope blended into the grade. Exactly what I wanted, but he saw, down to the exact tree that needed to be removed, how it was going to come together. Artistry.

The next big fight that will go on, is between those of us who still believe in Free Speech.. and State sponsored Censors. Battle is already happening here in the US... and even our GOVERNMENT is on the side of the Censors. This will be a true test of the Constitution.

The US Constitution stands in direct conflict with the EU speech laws, Britian's speech laws, China's Laws, India's laws, hell.... even CANADAs and Mexicos speech laws.

Question is, do we remain free, or will our government cave... even while we pay to defend these assholes.

There's a documentary I'm watching now on false confessions. In one, there's this 17 year old chick, who the day after they fed her the info on the guy they got to confess falsely, recanted her statement that he was involved in the murders she and her boyfriend committed. Now, by that time, the kid they tricked into confessing had already recanted, but there they are, yelling at her telling her to shut up and stop lying.

To this day the cop who got the false confession continues to say the guy should be in prison. No buddy, you should be.

Not really. Wikipedia delivers different versions of their site to different people. Language is one difference. Geolocation is another. Pakistan wants Wiki to censor what it delivers to people in Pakistan. If I had a blog, that would be difficult for me to accomplish. But, Wiki has resources in Pakistan, and they can edit their pages for that market.

If Pakistan was demanding that Wiki censor its pages to everyone, that would implicate our constitution. But, just pages delivered to people inside Pakistan, not an issue constitution-wise.

Not bots. People like Chris Rufo and Cardillo and Karol Markowicz, etc., who have been recruited to Team DeSantis who say "I supported Trump but it's time to moveon.org" and give the same reasons almost like they are playing off a script.

I give DeSantis credit. He uses a lot of surrogates to influence and personally stays above the fray. It's smart politics but there is no doubt these people didn't all just come up with the same talking points by magic.

It's the primaries and politics. Why is anyone surprised candidates are going after each other and so are their supporters? It has only been going on since the start of politics.

136 As I said at the time, why the "heck" does Trump keep these lying globalists as his front "men". (Birx and Fauci)? It was clear they had an agenda, and were shutting down the Trump suggested treatments that could have save a million or more. Suddenly Ivermectin and HCQ were dangerous ... "they" killed a half million at least.

Jarvanka was another huge issue for Trump, so much so that Trump now has them "standing down" for his second try. Ivanka (and Jared, Manhattan liberals) are deciding to spend more time with family, or Jared with other globalists. Great, maybe ... will Ivank still be in Daddy's ear about every leftist she would like to get in his administration?

My guess is there are 3 reasons:
1) He isn't Trump, so he isn't as abrasive. They view Trump as not their sort, darling.
2) They think he's got a better shot at the big chair than Trump
3) They're afraid to be too open about torpedoing another candidate popular with the base.

253 "The refrigerated truck-morgues are overflowing!"

That was claimed in Italy, and I think it was true. For a brief time. Just as intermittently, but routinely, hospitals in certain locations are overwhelmed by influenza cases, in bad years. Which is why rapid expansion capacity is built in to the system (at enormous taxpayer cost, over the years).

But this is all secret and unknown to the astonishingly dumbed down, misinformed and uninformed public.

At Christmas 2020, the idiot Newsom easily panicked the majority of dumb CA residents by claiming ICUs were near "capacity" (again, a false concept in itself, when stated that way). A local online guy who was pretty good during the whole C19 debacle instantly and easily fisked the false claim, simply by checking the publicly posted data (required as part of federal $) about ICU status in the area. Only one, down near the border - which effectively serves Tijuana as well - was above average for the time of year.

And I know people who lapped up this nonsense, repeated it gravely as if they're educating you, and altered travel plans because of it. Country is in deep trouble.

258 Breaking: A Quebec woman said she was very surprised to find her stolen Audi had been used in what’s being described as an “absolutely insane” Ontario mall robbery.

Taylor-Anna Kobinger, a resident of Laval, Que., listed her 2011 Black Audi A4 on Facebook Marketplace in January as a means to raise the funds needed for a down payment on a home.

On Jan. 29, she says a man responded to her ad and came to her home in order to test drive the vehicle. She says he took the car out twice – on the first drive, she said everything went accordingly, but when he asked to test drive it a second time, she said the man began to “drive dangerously.”

But, when she stepped out of the passenger seat, she said the man hit the gas and drove away.

However, on Wednesday morning, Kobinger said York Regional Police (YRP) told her that her car had been involved in a robbery – more than 550 km from her home in Laval.

According to York Regional Police (YRP), a car with the same license plate as Kobinger’s had been driven through the glass doors of an Ontario mall early Wednesday before allegedly breaking into an electronics store.

267 >>Zero. About the same odds of you getting the irony of bitching on a board about the government around you. Hence the irony. You cheer when Big Gov flexes. You bitch when it flexes on you.

Scogg, do you even realize how stupid it is to try and compare your situation, where you come on to a private website over and over and over with the sole purpose of starting fights so you can pretend you're a martyr when you are inevitably banned for breaking the rules of a private blog to citizens being treated equally by the government?

Because if you don't you should rethink your life. You aren't that clever and you definitely aren't a martyr. You're just a troll.

268 Well I just saved myself $47 and shipping for the RF-5E.

AFV Club gives you this big empty spot in the fuselage where the camera bay is supposed to be. KASL offers a resin upgrade kit that has the camera bay and a full cockpit.

Looking at a Malaysian RF-5E has solved this problem. Put protective covers over the camera windows.

272 CBD as you know ICU capacity usually runs in the 90s - otherwise they would bankrupt the facility. Thus ran the numbers at the time I mentioned, with only that one facility above season average (which is high, every December, due to flu season). Even there, it was below (un-augmented) capacity. Rest of the county was normal for season.

I think it was 2018 that several areas in the country (including parts of SoCal) did their temporary expansions (expedient facilities set up in the parking lots) due to a bad season. This was even noted in some SoCal media in 2020 (forget who). Of course nobody knew about that at the time, nor therefore did they panic.

In a highly developed specialized society, I expect people to not be experts in everything. But when the institutions that are supposed to be expert, and those accountable people they influence, and those whose job it is to question, inform, and educate, all are incompetent/corrupt/dishonest/fill in the blank, then you have what we have. A specialized society without the structure to make it work.

275 You know.

When Covid first hit, it was an unknown. There were a LOT of people dying from a really nasty upper respiratory infection that we hadn't seen before. The original Covid virus was bad. If you got it, you got really REALLY SICK.

I stripped off my scrubs into a garbage bag and bleached everything for about six weeks. The only person I hugged was my oldest son once a freaking week.

By April 2020, I had serious reservations about the lethal nature of Covid in the general population. It seemed to be taking out mostly the very old and folks with pre existing conditions.

I am pro vaccine, but, I wanted to wait for more studies before I got any Covid vaccine. Unfortunately, I was forced to choose between compliance or unemployment. I got one J&J.

Now, Covid is a cold. The virus has mutated so many times it is now quite innocent. Sure, people are still getting sick. But, Jeepers, everyone gets a damn cold now and again.

Just. I'm so sad all our momentum was destroyed. Things really were going in the right direction.
