The Morning Report — 12/22/22

lindseybrigade.jpg

Good morning, kids. Thursday and all I have to say is fuck the entire GOP to hell. It's easy to hate the Democrats, and I use that term advisedly since the members of that party are about as far removed from the concept of democracy as one can possibly imagine. Repulsive, repugnant and hateful as everyone from Bernie Sanders to Titty Caca Cortez is, I can respect them only insofar as they are upfront and honest about their positions. Sliding down the scale are the Schemers and Pelosis who parade around in the rotting skin-suit of patriotism while setting the American flag and the Constitution on fire. Still, it's understandable.

And then there is the GOP.

Republicans are set to approve a massive spending bill which includes billions of dollars in funding for the FBI despite recently leaked information which found the federal agency colluded with Twitter to censor users.

The bill designated $11.33 billion for the FBI “to investigate extremist violence and domestic terrorism,” according to a summary of the bill by the House Appropriations Committee. The total is reportedly $569.6 million more than the enacted levels for the 2022 fiscal year and $524 million more than the president requested.

The FBI reportedly paid Twitter $3.5 million dollars as compensation for staff fielding the agency’s requests between October 2019 and February 2021, as was revealed during Elon Musk’s ongoing “Twitter Files” series which leaked information showing Twitter’s hand in suppressing users. The files also revealed that the FBI had close relations with Twitter staff and was involved in the suppression of the New York Post article regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop ahead of the 2020 election.

The "extremist violence and domestic terrorism” that is their prime mission is you and me and everyone who is opposed to the wanton, deliberate destruction of our nation, culture and society. Forget flying airplanes into skyscrapers or setting entire cities ablaze because "racism!" Electing outsiders who will not only keep Mitch McConnell and his ilk away from the public trough but threaten to remove the trough itself? Well, that's positively un-American!

The FBI offered tech industry dorks the opportunity to shoot guns and kick down doors, to wield visceral power rather than just virtual power. While the tech industry influenced far more lives, the Bureau could offer something more tangible. It’s why so many of the recent FBI raids on political opponents have featured large teams of heavily armed men. Behind the body armor are ‘mall cops’ with Ivy League degrees who enjoy shooting guns and kicking down doors even though there’s no threat that they’re dealing with that requires them to be doing either one.

Looking to get a hold on the internet, the FBI recruited from the tech industry. And looking to get a hold on security, the industry recruited from the FBI with at least a dozen senior Twitter personnel coming out of the bureau. The revolving door blurred the lines between the government and the tech industry. It’s still unclear what Twitter was doing on its own initiative or at the behest of the FBI. And it’s unclear where the allegiance of FBI people like Chan really lay.

In 2017, the FBI set up a Foreign Influence Task Force in response to Hillary Clinton’s Russiagate hoax. The legal premise of FITF, charged with combating, in the words of FBI Director Wray, efforts by foreign governments to “sway U.S. voters’ preferences and perspectives, shift U.S. policies, increase discord in the United States, and undermine the American people’s confidence in our democratic processes” was dubious from the start. . .

. . . Personnel is policy. Putting Big Tech people inside the FBI would transform its worldview from law enforcement to content moderation. And moving FBI people into Big Tech would lead platforms to see everything as a threat. The hybrid entity was a paranoid content moderating monster that wielded the untrammeled power of Big Tech and the authority of the feds.

“My mission is, ‘Protect the American people and uphold the constitution,’ Chan claimed. That’s noble, but what he was doing at FITF was hacking the constitution using a back door oligarchy.

The Constitution depends on boundaries between branches of the government, between elected officials and law enforcement, between government and industry, between the media and the government, and between the publishing platforms that enable speech and the government. When these boundaries collapse, the constitution becomes meaningless, and the Bill of Rights a series of technicalities that can be violated with impunity by an oligarchy that subdivides its powers by compartmentalizing them between private and public sectors.

When the DOJ, Big Tech, the media, administrations, companies, engineers, agents, and executives all work together toward the same political goals, the constitution is a dead letter.

You should see some of the other insane garbage that is being funded in the billions of dollars. But wait, there's more!

“As the American border collapses completely, our Congress turns its fawning attention to the Ukraine and the man our congress has been funding with the tax dollars to prosecute a war whose consequences can be more profound than most Americans understand,” Carlson said as Zelenskyy concluded his address to a joint meeting of Congress. . .

. . . “We were reminded of it today when the president of Ukraine arrived at the White House dressed like the manager of a strip club and started to demand money. Amazingly, no one threw him out and instead they did whatever he wanted. ‘American taxpayers,’ declared Joe Biden, ‘will continue to give Zelenskyy whatever he demands for as long as it takes’” Carlson said after the speech ended.

Russia invaded Ukraine Feb. 24, launching a massive attack across the latter country. Congress added $45 billion in aid to Ukraine as part of a $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill that also prohibited United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) from spending over $1.5 billion to “acquire, maintain, or extend border security technology and capabilities, except for technology and capabilities to improve Border Patrol processing.”

“Tellingly Biden never specified what it is, as long as it is to do what? Push the Russian army back to pre-invasion borders? Sounds reasonable. That’s what most Americans likely assume, those who are still paying attention. But that is not what Zelensky means, and it is not what he’s asking for,” Carlson said. “Zelensky is demanding regime change in Russia, just like in Iraq and Libya and a long list of other failed states, except this time in the heart of the Eurasian landmass, next door to the entire civilized world. That’s what Zelensky has called for repeatedly and every dollar we send to him goes toward that end. At this point, he’s getting a lot closer to achieving it, so what happens if he ‘wins?’ What does the ensuing chaos look like? Thought about that?”

Before delving into the potential chaos of touching off a for-real shooting Third World War, let's look at the chaos we are already experiencing and really have been experiencing with greater pain and suffering for the past 60 years: the opening of our borders to untold millions of illegal aliens on top of millions of legal immigrants to this country without any regard for their assimilation to our culture and society.

Indeed, in the eyes of the Left that's not a bug. It's a feature. And those in our own erstwhile party turn a blind eye to it. A border is more than just physical and legal barriers. It's also a strong cultural demarcation involving language, custom and lifestyles that define a nation and its people. Open borders is not just erasing a line on a map; it's wiping out our identity, starting in the schools and going from there.

Look where we are now after the twin torpedoes of Hart-Celler in '65 and Simpson-Mazzoli in '86 along with the ever-leftward leaning mindset of leaders in and out of government. Hell, Mayorkas via the Kalorama Klown Komintern have essentially ordered the DHS to stand down. Now imagine what happens when the gossamer-thin fig leaf of Title 42 and any other protections are removed.

Psaki-psircling back to a potential World War Three, like a Coney Island whitefish floating to the top of a West Village bathhouse hot tub, Lindsay Graham breaks the surface and blows:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told Fox News’ “America Reports” on Wednesday that the United States should completely support Ukraine in its fight against Russia, because if Russian President Vladimir Putin succeeds, “the world will unravel.”

When asked to what extent he believes the United States should continue to aid Ukraine, Graham said, “Completely, all in, without equivocation. If Putin dismembers Ukraine, he will not stop, China is more likely to go into Taiwan. The world will unravel, and no domestic problem gets better here at home allowing Putin to destroy Ukraine, quite the opposite. . .

. . . Graham said he agrees that the U.S. should give Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy the long-range missiles, gray eagle drones and reaper drones he’s requesting.

“I would give him the ability to dislodge Russians from his country. Right now the Biden administration has done more, and I appreciate doing more, but not the offensive capability to dislodge the Russians from the east, particularly Crimea. So the longer range weapons would hurt the Russian military more effectively. The drones would be the biggest game changer,” he said. . .

. . . “I had a resolution that passed the Senate 100-nothing, urging the Biden administration to designate Russia a state sponsor of terrorism under the law. The Biden administration has fought us at every turn. So you really want to help the Ukrainians? Designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism under U.S. law. That will taint the regime all over the world bigger than we’ve ever done before, and it would matter,” the senator said.

Graham said that he supports the omnibus spending bill even though it doesn’t include any money for the border.

"The world will unravel" if Putin wins? "Designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism?" Does he not realize he's talking about a nation that has thousands of nukes, from the size of a suitcase to MIRVed ICBMs? Forgetting for a moment that if you take Putin out of the picture, you're not going to get a creampuff but more than likely the Russian version of General Jack D. Ripper, who's even more pissed off that Reagan won the Cold War, but that our armed forces have been utterly demoralized and sabotaged because of "woke" indoctrination. I shudder to think what our capabilities are. Seeing Admiral Rachel Levine no doubt puts ideas into Putin's and Xi's heads.

Forget the world; America is unraveling before our eyes on a daily if not hourly basis. And Graham is such a phony on immigration. He's in favor of open borders and always has been. If this jackass and his cohorts in Congress don't Muffley us into getting our hair mussed, America itself will drown when the last vestiges of our borders are gone. It may already be way too late. If it's not a nuclear exchange from over the DEW line, it's Yugoslavia 2: Civil War Boogaloo.

And we're the ones paying for it. Insult, meet injury.

That's interesting. Why? What will cause such an "unraveling?" How is Russia - a large country with a small economy and relatively few (but certainly some) critical industries and exports - the linchpin around which the entire global complex of systems revolves?

It isn't. So what does Graham mean? That the postwar order will unravel because the United States first blundered in a way that helped lead to war in Eastern Europe and then couldn't deal with the problem? That Putin's occasional skepticism of globalism will wreck their entire globalist scheme? Or is it merely the hyperbole of a neocon?

90 An international team of researchers has found the first evidence of a dinosaur eating a mammal. In their paper published in Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, the group describes their reexamination of a fossil found more than 20 years ago.

The work builds on the findings of a prior team who studied the fossil, Microraptor zhaoianus, back in 2000. It was found in the Jiufotang Formation in a western part of China. Back then, the research team dated it to approximately 120 million years ago, and noted that the fossil was missing most of its middle part but its rib cage was still intact.

Microraptors were three-toed dinosaurs that, like their larger cousins, were carnivores. They lived in trees and were quite small compared to other dinosaurs — about the size of a modern house cat. Some species of microraptors sported feathers, which might have been used for gliding down from perches in trees.

In this new effort, the researchers found evidence of another fossil inside of the microraptor that once belonged to a tiny mammal. A small fossil mammal foot was found just behind the ribs, proof that the larger creature had feasted on a mouse-size mammal.

131 ||Arizona agreed Wednesday to dismantle a wall of shipping containers at the Mexican border that critics said was an expensive, ecologically damaging political stunt that did nothing to keep migrants out of the United States.

The state’s Republican Governor Doug Ducey spent $90 million of taxpayers’ money lining up rusting boxes in what he said was a bid to stem the flow of people crossing into the country.

The corrugated containers, which snake for four miles (seven kilometers) through federal lands like a huge stationary cargo train, divide an important conservation area that is home to vulnerable species, but which is so difficult to traverse that people traffickers routinely avoid it.

Now Ducey, who leaves office early next year, will have to get rid of the 915 containers from the Coronado National Forest.||

In the time since then, up until 2022, Mitch McConnell has overseen and been part of the budget process which has now put us $31 trillion in debt as a nation. For that, he and all the other long timers in Washington should hang. They have put us on a path to complete financial ruin. He has a large part in that. 194 I really wonder if anyone in our Oz-like "government" can tell us just exactly what national security, or even national interests, we have in bleeding our treasury dry supporting the kleptocracy that is the Ukraine? Back in my 2nd Armored Division days, we had a saying that "Russia Sucks," and I still believe that to be entirely true. But there's no security threat involved here. And if it's a matter of repelling unjust invasions, then Mexico, Pakistan, Angola and the Philippines et al should have brigade-sized elements already on the ground under the United Nations to punish and repel the Russians. But they don't, they never would have, and they never will. We as American no longer live in a Democracy - this is a hugely corrupt criminal enterprise that is rapidly and with great malice consolidating an unshakable hold on power; and they do not care who gets killed along the way. Ace and the COBs have been yelling fire in a burning theater for a long time as a warning. "Meh, let it burn" is a poor answer, the sort of answer that will lead to staring out through a chain link fence or worse. I'm out of optimism.

This is the root problem that must be addressed. To view those who adhere to scientific processes and try to avert disaster as "enemies" is a big part of the problem. To view those who study and understand sociological phenomena and try to avert injustice as "enemies" is another side to the same coin.

The problem is one of knowledge. Those who view progressives as the "enemy" do so because they do not - either through unwillingness or incapacity - understand how progressives are doing everything in their power to bring about a world that is less polluted, less unjust, less oppressive, less violent and more stable than the world as it exists today.

So long as people who are enriched by the injustices of the current system and those who are unwilling or unable to grasp the lower-level problems being solved by true progress will remain difficult and things will continue to proceed piecemeal and less effectively.

We must try to teach those who view progressives as enemies.

Shortly after Trump was elected the FNM floated a story that Russia was arming the Taliban. All of the "smart" people in government said if true we'd have to go to war with Russia.

Fortunately the story was a complete lie.

But now we are the ones "arming the Taliban" and quite openly as well.

The charges could be brought in state court in FL or rural TX. That can be done because the victims of the conspiracy reside in those states. The DOJ can’t take over the prosecution because of the obvious conflict of interest; those people can hardly be expected to prosecute themselves for their own crimes. Part of the evidence of their conspiracy is obvious; they won’t prosecute people who are publicly violating that law, which changes them from prosecutors, and law enforcement, into co-conspirators.

294 By streamlining the process, the CDC got inundated with adverse event reports from the Covid-19 shot. Out of the 10,108,273 individual users, 800,000 had an adverse event — or about 1 in 13. And of those 800,000 V-Safe reports, only 30,492 have been logged into VAERS.

Thats less than 4%!!

Everyone can play that game. Wherever reparations are approved, every single person needs to apply. Make the government prove you were not harmed in any manner by slavery in the US. I can think of many ways slavery reduced the amount of money I should have today, even though my forebears did not arrive in the US until the 1880s.

304 McConnell won his last primary by something like 50 points. Either a whole lot of people are on the dole, or the Republican electorate of KY likes him, by and large.

My sources come from state politicians who, in their course of campaigning (door knocking, events, etc.) bringing up McConnell brings up the hate - so the usual course is to just keep silent.

There is a LOT of grift and back room deals going on. The backstabbing treachery is something to behold. I wouldn't doubt for a minute that McConnell has a very good ballot fortifying team in KY. He has only several decades to build and shore it up.

Yes, it is. But there is one institution in DC that has never changed and while politicians come and go it never leaves and that is the intelligence community.

They are the masters of the deep state and everything revolves around them.

Every selfish layabout with their hand out for phreebies from uncle sugar loves their State's grifter senator or rep. It's the other selfish layabouts in the other states with their own state's grifter senator or rep that are the problem.

My 2nd great-grandfather was an abolitionist from NY who served in Company H, 110th Reg., NYS Volunteers. Our family should be exempt from federal taxes in the amount equal to any reparations paid to anyone who can prove slave ancestry.

>>McConnell won his last primary by something like 50 points. Either a whole lot of people are on the dole, or the Republican electorate of KY likes him, by and large.

They run tomato cans against him in the primaries to give the illusion of legitimacy and the Donks strategy for the last several cycles has been to run out and out kooks against him.

The Governor of Kentucky is a Democrat, he'll probably run for the Senate and Win when McConnell shuffles off the stage.

So we got that to look forward to.

319 Lunatics. Racism is not science but a social construct using colors to blame others for cultural, ethnic or moral choices on others as if. It has zero impact on body physiology, FFS. I am so done with this BS. More money didn't fix DC's educational outcomes, and benefits are available via gov't handouts for all colors and ages. I am not responsible for the outcomes or choice of where people live and do what they do. Shove it where the sun doesn't shine, DHHS. Until they stop making victims of colors, nothing will change and entitlement mindsets will only grow exponentially until the last nail is smashed.

320 GOP in DC is, as stated, rotten to the core, but Republicans (especially here in FL, where the incoming legislature will feature an 85-35 margin in the House and 28-12 in the Senate) at the state level are doing a lot of great things. Think of all those Republican state treasurers pulling billions out of "woke" investment funds like BlackRock.

If you contribute to political campaigns, choose wisely.

Had a drink of it last night. Very nice. May well cut into my Jack Daniels purchases.

Need to clean up Missoula County. At least 7000 fraudulent ballots were cast and counted in 2020.

Also, keep Marc Elias and his gang of lawyers out of the state. His lawsuits have kept the Greens off the ballot, which would chew into Tester's totals if the Greens were included on the ballot.
