Is There Any Lingering Doubt That the Drudge Report Was Clearly Bought By a Leftwing Billionaires to Serve as Leftwing Propaganda?

Apparently it's currently an anti-Elon-Musk slander site.

Who runs the Drudge Report? Certainly not Matt Drudge. Keeping the name on the website without revealing the extent of Drudge's involvement seems as dishonest as some of the more recent headlines. The many anti-Elon Musk headlines from the weekend included "Is He Tripping on Drugs?" and "No Police Report Filed in Musk's 'Stalker' Claims, LAPD Says."

The writer, Dan Flynn, says he can't break his Drudge habit, even knowing it's pure sh*t, like he couldn't break his MTV habit even after that turned to crap.

What about you guys? Does anyone check Drudge any more?

I stopped checking him pretty fast. Almost moment he turned, I stopped checking. Well, actually, we didn't notice he'd been bought out for a while; he just seemed to be posting a lot of leftwing links, and nothing interesting to a rightwing audience. It took a little while to put two and two together.

Every once in while since then, when I needed to find some random story and was going to go through my normal cycle of aggregators, my fingers would, through pure muscle memory, start typing www.drudgereport.com, but I'd often stop before I'd finished, and rarely actually continue on to the site. I think I've only checked the site a few times since the Unacknowledged Sale to Leftwing Election Fortifiers and usually by accident.

I think he's a scumbag to have sold out to a group of leftwing buyers knowing they planned to turn it into a leftwing Election Fortification site, and doubly a scumbag for then participating in the deception, by agreeing to their term to continue pretending he still owned it and was still posting stories on it.

It's the latter that's the problem. If he cashed out, then fine. If the highest bidder was a lefty propaganda outfit, then fine. But leaving his name on it and not disclosing the change is a pretty serious problem because the site's value, its reputation, its market, etc. was all built on him and his ownership of it.

If they were all up-front about it it wouldn't have been worth the effort to the buyer.

His main editorial content was the sly way that he'd arrange headlines together to make up a larger story. I've gotta be honest, he was masterful at that.

I don't have TOO much of a problem with Drudge selling out, even if he sold out to commie cocksuckers. It was his site, he had every right to auger it into the ground if he wanted. But his aggressive silence on the issue tells a story, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was Soros' name on the check.

I could swear it was here that you or a coblog posted some sort of shitty tweet storm from Drudge proving he'd just snapped and gone never-Trump deranged. He hadn't tweeted in like a year or more, which fueled the speculation to begin with, then the tweets. I'd check, but I've never tried starting up my account after my suspension.

115 Matt Drudge had little in the way of liberal education. He did manage to complete high school, but tertiary schooling was not an option for him (at least tertiary schooling of a sort in which he might have taken an interest). He had an odd hobby: he was a news junkie. He followed public figure like other people follow sports scores. He was also a gossip aficionado. The Drudge Report started out as an e-newsletter of gossip he'd heard while employed in a retail shop located on the premises of one of the major networks or production studios (CBS, as I recall).

Drudge wasn't particular about accuracy or narrative maintenance. He linked indiscriminately and did not curate the public chatter the way the establishment media did. That made him useful to starboard customers. He wasn't self-consciously concealing anything.

150 Some years ago, I saw a summary someone had done examining citation patterns of various texts - newspaper articles, web pages, politicians speeches &c and tallied up which authorities they cited. It was an interesting study. It found, for example that the citation patterns of the news pages at The Wall Street Journal bore the closest resemblance to those of any outlet to the speeches of Democratic members of Congress. Arranging on a portside to starboard spectrum, Drudge scored smack in the middle. It was a compendium of links and linked to everything.

Here's a hypothesis: Drudge could be bought because it was a business with him. He was astonishingly successful at monetizing his hobbies. It is interesting that someone was so incensed at the presence of a collection of miscellaneous links that they had to take the piece off the board and take a huge loss. I'd be fascinated to know which moneybags insisted on this, and whether they had any contacts with the FBI and / or CIA beforehand.

Musk has revenue producing business ventures. This Twitter shit is starting to have an impact on his profitable businesses.

He's gonna duck out and install a puppet CEO that can deal with the loonies publicly. As long as Musk is seen as the owner/operator of Twitter, they will tear down his legit business ventures.

251 From the last thread, regarding Oswald. This is the evidence Oswald’s first shot missed all together.

In the Zapruder film, just before the limo goes behind the highway sign, at about the one or 2 o’clock position on the film, there is a little girl in a white hat running alongside the limo. She suddenly stops in her tracks. Her head snaps fast to her right toward the TSBD and then looks back fast to her left, back at the limo.

When interviewed, she said she stopped running the instant she heard the shot. JFK is still obviously unwounded when the little girl heard the shot and stopped running.

Sadly in this case, engineers have more or less dealt with the compatibility problems at this point.

The BBC was used by the Allies to give messages and misinformation to the German radio intel units and to the French Resistance. Some of the words were meaningless to throw of the Germans or traitors in the Resistance, others were meaningless to most French Resistance units but important to specific units to activate plans, and still others were broad messages to the Resistance.

The Paul Verlaine poem, "Chanson d’autome" was used for the broad message with one part of the poem being the warning that the invasion was imminent and another part when broadcast that the invasion was within a day or so.

Also, I despise each and every one of you.

513 I usually don't wade into religious arguments because mainly I'm just not that religious, but I have noticed a pattern through history. Basically, god don't do jack shit until mankind gets off their ass and goes on some kind of crusade. Waiting around for god to do something is the religious version of the free shit army. God didn't storm the beaches at Normandy, man did, but god was with them. Wait around for god and europe would be speaking german. God didn't fight the revolution, man did, but god was with them. Wait around for god and we would still be kneeling to the crown. God didn't free the hebrews from bondage from pharaoh, moses did, but god was surely with him. God didn't liberate the concentration camps, man did, but again, god was with them. 6 million dead and god didn't do shit until those with god as a copilot did. God don't lift a finger until mankind gets off it's ass. He works through us, not for us. It seems to be the pattern.

515 I think it has been 10-15 years since I checked drudge. Even before they went bad, I got a bit tired of the drama.

516 If you were following Q Drops and not whatever the fuck yo think qanon is - Matt Drudge selling out was something that's been known to us since 2017-2018. For a hot second, Drudge's Twitter was tagged as Former Owner od Drudge Report.

Use Rantingly.com for your Drudge Fix.

518 If...if...they arrest him, there needs to be a national strike. Dox the hell out or each committee member and bring the nation to a halt. Enough of this bullshit!
Posted by: Diogenes at December 19, 2022 02:41 PM (anj39)

They'll blow the nation up for no good reason except they just have to have him - in jail. It's insane to have even suggested this, irresponsible and demented at its core, a mental illness that seems to have infected and then spread thru all of our DC federally elected officials. The fact that they are going there is probably going to precipitate their downfall in some, as of now, unknown fashion. You can do a lot of stuff in American politics as we have seen, but arresting former Presidents on slim and murky political reasons is just not one of them.

519 "493 I find Drudge useful as a quick one stop to see the MSM/establishment spin on the day. Kind of like checking in on Radio Berlin during WW2"

Right. It's good to see what the left fears most by seeing who/what they are attacking. Also useful to see their attempts to gaslight the masses on cultural norms and morality.

520 "Drudge, Little Green Footballs, Patrick Frey.... The list goes on from people who have sold out. "

Doubt Johnson or Frey have sold out. It's just that people never quite understood what made either man tick.

526 I used to go to the Drudge site 2-3 times a day. Then, after a couple weeks of seeing leftist BS passed off as real news, I began to lose interest. Gave him another few days, and then ... poof. He's dead to me now.

What a POS though for handing over the keys to the leftwings nuts. It shows he had zero real attachment to the conservative movement and was only interested in making $.
