The Morning Report — 12/19/22

Good morning, kids, and a Happy Hanukkah to all. It's a holiday that celebrates an actual historic event in Jewish history, a victory over tyranny and the miracle of the light that burned for eight days. Now more than ever, let's hope it's a metaphor for deliverance and better days ahead.

Meanwhile, darkness abounds wherever you turn. The multi-headed hydra that has overthrown our nation has, as one of its appendages, a thoroughly corrupted law enforcement and intelligence community that uses its power not to combat real crime or address real threats to our national security, but to persecute and suppress all voices of opposition to the junta in power. Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss have done absolutely outstanding work in unpacking the Twitter files and revealing how 2020 and its aftermath occurred.

The latest revelations are particularly disturbing:

Former Twitter Head of Trust and Safety Yoel Roth was “frankly perplexed” by some of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) demands for the platform, according to newly released emails.
Veteran journalist Matt Taibbi tweeted out correspondence between Roth and San Francisco FBI Agent Elvis Chan as a supplemental thread to his “Twitter Files” report posted Friday. . .
. . . Roth sent the questionnaire to his team, telling them “I’m frankly perplexed by the requests here, which seem more like something we’d get from a congressional committee than the Bureau,” Taibbi reported.
Roth added “I’m not particularly comfortable with the Bureau (and by extension the IC) demanding written answers,” and asked coworkers how to “best navigate” the situation, according to Taibbi.
Taibbi tweeted Friday “between January 2020 and November 2022, there were over 150 emails between the FBI and former Twitter Trust and Safety chief Yoel Roth,” demonstrating how the FBI and other intelligence agencies flagged content for Twitter to act on.
Taibbi observed “Twitter’s contact with the FBI was constant and pervasive, as if it were a subsidiary,” in his Friday “Twitter Files” report."

Remember, this was pre-Elon Musk and during the reign of Jack Dorsey, at a time when as Molly Ball crowed about in that Time Magazine article how agencies, corporations and individuals openly conspired to prevent Donald Trump from winning re-election, or in their own words "fortifying" the election to get their desired outcome: his defeat.

So when even one of Twitter's own key apparatchiks is uncomfortable with taking orders from the FBI, you know that we're through the looking glass. Yet, at the time, Roth didn't blow the whistle on what was going on, which speaks volumes to the entire "go along to get along" mentality of far too many people in and out of government. For my money, that's how evil is able to perpetuate itself. The true believers, thugs and terrorists could never get away with their plots and schemes were it not for the fact that far too many ordinary people look the other way, for whatever reasons. And by then, it's too late lest you get squashed like a bug.

But as we all know, this is not something new. It's been going on for years if not decades. Say what you will about Donald Trump, either as a candidate, a president or even as a man, he's a national hero for exposing and confirming it merely by coming down the escalator of Trump Tower in the summer of 2015.

After Tucker Carlson’s broadcast Thursday during which a CIA insider told him that he did think the agency was involved in the murder of President John F. Kennedy, the slain president’s nephew, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., tweeted: “The most courageous newscast in 60 years. The CIA’s murder of my uncle was a successful coup d’état from which our democracy has never recovered. @TuckerCarlson.”
So, did the CIA kill John F. Kennedy, or help others do so? The Thursday release of over 13,000 documents related to the assassination doesn’t get us much closer to a solid answer to that question than we were before. But RFK Jr.’s certainty on this matter doesn’t come out of nowhere. The basic fact that all the records still aren’t publicly available is suspicious in itself. . .
. . . What harm could come to intelligence operations by the release of sixty-year-old material, unless the intelligence agency that requested that this material be held back knows very well that what is in it will reflect negatively on its operations today? The withholding of still more documents even comes after the Mary Ferrell Foundation, which describes itself as “a non-profit organization engaged in an ongoing effort to bring accessible and interactive history to a new generation of critical thinkers,” filed suit in October against Old Joe and the National Archives, to compel them to release the remaining documents pertaining to the assassination. . .
. . . Back on Dec. 22, 1963, exactly a month after the Kennedy assassination, former President Harry Truman wrote in the Washington Post that “for some time I have been disturbed by the way [the] CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the Government. This has led to trouble and may have compounded our difficulties in several explosive areas.” He added, “We have grown up as a nation, respected for our free institutions and for our ability to maintain a free and open society. There is something about the way the CIA has been functioning that is casting a shadow over our historic position and I feel that we need to correct it.”
Why did Truman believe it necessary to publish this warning about the CIA right at that time? Whatever his reasons may have been, nothing was done to reform or rein in the CIA. Now, after we have seen the CIA meddling in governments worldwide, and after the Russian Collusion hoax and innumerable other domestic operations involving gaslighting of the American people on a large scale, it’s not at all inconceivable that the CIA would have had a hand in taking out a sitting president.

RFK Jr. may very well be correct. Whatever you feel about his personal politics, having the name Kennedy historically does not exactly fill me with strength and confidence. At least it didn't. RFK Jr. has been one of the loudest voices calling out Big Pharma and the government for the response to Chinese COVID vis a vis the push for mass vaccination of the entire population with serums that have proven to be at best useless in preventing the spread of and infection with the General Tso's Sickness and at worst, USDA Grade A poison to thousands of people.

For me, especially in light of everything we have witnessed this government – this illegal junta – do to amass and maintain power over the course of decades now, and culminating in the events of 2020 and January 6th, 2021, the only question regarding the assassination of President Kennedy is who were the players involved and what was the principal motivation?

But let's suppose I'm wrong, that Oswald acted alone or if he didn't, that the government had nothing to do with it. Can you honestly blame me now for looking with suspicion at the CIA as well as the FBI, and the government itself – that is the entrenched globalist Deep State cabal that pretty much has directed the course of events domestically and foreign policy-wise since the end of World War 2?

Recall the scene from The Godfather when Kay Adams said to Michael Corleone, "Do you know how naive you sound? President's and Senators don't have men killed," to which Michael responds "Oh, who's being naive now, Kay."

Of course we're talking about JFK as the target, but the point is taken. In any case, with all of that, here we are getting into intestinal hassles about Trump's trading cards, who is and is not a traitor and/or asshole for not supporting him in '24 or DeSantis will crush Biden or whoever is the candidate, etc. etc. while we have an entrenched, thoroughly corrupt and ever more ruthless cabal of government and the corporate sector ready to pull the switcheroo yet again 23 months from now.

I'm a big fan of Victor Davis Hanson, and here, he presents a concise, cogent 10-point program for us to "save America."

This is an excellent piece and one that would absolutely work, except for the fact that it relies on elections and processes within what I describe as "regular order" in order to succeed. It also requires having those those who oppose us to respect our will and the outcomes of non-rigged elections whenever they lose them instead of regarding us as a cancer to be eradicated at all costs and "by any means necessary."

Those who are in control of America are simply not going to allow anything to happen that takes away a scintilla of their power. If indeed 59 years ago they were willing to whack JFK, what happened to Ashli Babbitt, Roseanne Boyland, David Koresh, Randy Weaver and on and on and on is the result. And it will only get worse from here.

I think these are false distinctions. "The Deep State" and "The Democrats" and "The Media" and "The Left" are all the same thing. It's one vast complex. It's a State/Party/Media Complex, with a lot of adjunct sub-complexes (like most of the big corporations and virtually the entire financial/capital system). Asking whether the Complex would be effective without the media is as irrelevant as asking if the Complex would be effective without the deep state or if the Complex would be effective without the party.

They are all the same thing. One is not dependent on the other, they are all mutually dependent in a form of parasitic symbiosis.

She was confused because police are supposed to protect people. I told her that they don't have *any* obligation to protect anyone, and this was confirmed by the courts. However -- The ever-present ads for Fan Duel and Draft Kings and the constant mentions by announcers and studio hosts (in all sports) is certainly making it seem like things are fixed.

I used to watch a lot of football. When the league decided that I was its enemy and called me an inveterate racist with their kneeling shit, I decided to not consume the product anymore.

The first few weeks were kind of weird. Then I found that I had a lot more free time to do other things when I wasn't watching football every Sunday.

This is true, and it's opposite is also true. If not for the Party, which serves a purpose to the left, were abolished, it would render the remains more impotent. Same with the deep state. They all need each other. The benefit to this from an opposition standpoint is that neutering one leg of the stool might bring the whole stool down. The downside to this from an opposition standpoint is that all the legs are so dependent on each other and so strong that they defend each other at all costs.

Oliver Stone's "JFK" and "JFK Revisited" provide plenty of declassified documents pointing to the fact that JFK was angry after the CIA lied to him about numerous military operations and, as a result, defunded (cut the budget) the CIA. Basically, in today's terms, JFK was trying to dismantle the Deep State and the Deep State assassinated him for it.

A sad local story, 65 years old, Philadelphia's "Boy in the Box" was identified recently. So people Q why the child's name was released since his parents are deceased, and there is family (likely with no knowledge of the child's former existence) still residing in the region. Probably because the case is still under investigation as a crime; it shows what investigative advancements have been made over the decades, and also that 'name' is not a reason for concealing, and/or not investigating, and acting appropriately upon bad deeds.

The dynasty families are like vampires; they never die.

A lot of riches & power were generated through the Cuban casinos & hotels, and oh those cuban cigars. (ha) And then there's Jack Ruby.

404 The CIA was involved in the torture and murder of DEA agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena in 1985, and the guy who tortured him was questioned in Congress and denied any involvement of the Gov't. Why was he tortured and killed? Because the Gov't was selling drugs and using the proceeds to fund Contra training in Mexico, and Kiki may have been aware of the drug connections to that base.

No matter what you thought of those stories in the past, how likely do they seem now? And how likely is it that what we now call the “National Security State” has been pulling the strings behind the scenes for close to a century now?

Remember, Hoover took over the FBI in 1924.
