I found a full story on Dr. Syn:
https://archive.vn/L3Xne Posted by: t-bird at December 19, 2022 09:43 AM (CaJIi) ++++ Wyeth set his dark, surreal self-portrait in the odd little out building on Southern Island, the 22-acre island just off Tenants Harbor that Andrew’s wife Betsy purchased in 1978. Betsy refurbished the building to meticulously replicate Admiral Lord Nelson’s actual captain’s quarters, from the black and white floors to the curved beams. “I don’t know how she did it, but she got all these exacting details, and retrofitted this existing, simple structure into this incredible replication. She gave it to Andrew as a gift, to use as a studio,” said MacDonald. “‘Dr. Syn’ is his reciprocal gift back to her on her 60th birthday, though that name is never a name he gave to it. Betsy called it ‘Dr. Syn.’ The tag on it read, ‘To the Queen of Southern Island, from Old Bones.’” As good an explanation as any. It is a well-executed painting with a weird arrangement -- the combination is like Theatre of the Absurd. Each element, the skeleton, his coat, the cannon, the sun-flooded cabin, and the tiles, is nicely rendered. It's putting them together that makes it absurd.

Plenty of skeletons in art rooms and science rooms. Usually they were only 5 feet tall for some reason. Posted by: BourbonChicken at December 19, 2022 09:46 AM (44ww/) Yep. I had a Phys. Anth. course where I had to look at a lot of skeletons. Mostly third world-derived, lots of malnutrition, etc. I think it's because poor countries yield more skeletons nobody cares about. My favorite one was where my group had to find a cause of death... the project had two class periods built in for it. I took one look at our skeleton, pulled out the calipers, and said ".45cal gunshot wound. He was kneeling down. Execution. See you guys next week." It's hard to even pay attention to all that 70's Convoy business, but Wages of Fear and Sorcerer kind of get you going. They Drive by Night out-Skelters Manson, because The Doors Did It. Maybe we could get a truck-drivin' film fest sometime, if we could leave out the supernatural payloads. Posted by: Way, Way Downriver at December 19, 2022 10:47 AM (jYCXf) 325
Two trivia bits about Hell Drivers from IMDb:
"About the time of filming [1956], Sean Connery was staying with Stanley Baker and his family. Connery named Baker as one of his original acting idols." and "Patrick McGoohan and Stanley Baker were both considered for the role of James Bond in Dr. No (1962) before Sean Connery was cast." I did not know Baker had actually been considered! Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at December 19, 2022 10:47 AM (J2vNu) 326

The U.S. Intelligence Community is composed of 18 organizations. (Members of the IC - Office of the Director of National Intelligence. See DNI dot gov.) For example, recently the Naval Criminal Invetigative Service led a sex sting operation in Delaware County, PA.
There's also the executive branch criminal investigative divisions of the IRS (Treasury); U. S. Postal Service; EPA, and more. There's a lot more intelligence folk & their subcontractors (shadow work forces) embedded on the social network than we imagine. IMO, of course. 267 On April 27th, 1961, JFK gave a speech to the American Newspaper Publishers Association. I find the text of this speech a bit chilling given our current situation and the government's refusal to tell us the truth about JFK's assassination. The text of his speech is well worth reading.
I no longer believe in conspiracy theories. Just conspiracies that haven't been fully exposed. ====== Just the recorded segment is mind-blowing in its sense of historical contradiction. This speech should be put alongside Ike's warning about the Military-Industrial COmplex and Reagan's warning about Freedom being only a generation away from vanishing. I'm not a real conspiracy man about JFK's death, but the way certain institutions took advantage of it in the weeks that followed it was the proof of this address.
