The Morning Report — 12/12/22

joeybidetenema.jpg

Good morning kids. Monday, and I suppose if you don't laugh, you cry, right?

Biden Junta Buys U.S. Navy Luxury Bidet Equipped With "Effective Enema Function"

Bio Bidet's BB-1000 has "the absolute strongest spray pressure of any electronic bidet seat on the market."

The editorial almost writes itself. For a while, I used to intentionally misspell Biden by substituting a "t" for the "n" but stopped doing it as I assumed most people thought it was merely a typo. I never imagined the letters "BB" followed by a number would indicate anything other than a battleship in US Navy jargon. I stand corrected.

And so, as the all too brief moment of levity passes, we're right back where we were, in a country and a society crashing in on itself with seemingly dim prospects of rescue. Oh, there is still the sound of howls of laughter. But it's coming from Peking, Tehran, Pyongyang, Caracas, Kabul and dozens of other capitals as the Leftists shove Uncle Sam's head in a subway toilet – correction: bidet – and attempt to give him not just a "swirly" of summer camp legend but the dreaded "chocolate swirly."

Yet we soldier on attempting to fight a 21st century battle with the strategies and tactics of late 19th. As the new year looms and we head into the opening stages of the 2024 presidential election, we still have yet to learn how to deal with a system that now has been rigged to cripple any Republican candidate no matter how much of a legitimate lead he or she may have heading into election day. Because there is no more election "day." Only a protracted process over time that allows for the gathering of ballots no matter how dubious they may be, declare them as kosher up until the point that whoever is counting them can declare a winner. And that winner will 99.99% of the time be Democrat.

When it happens, all we can do is bitch about it while the enemy shrieks "sore loser!" and "election denier" at us. No greater example of this garbage is what happened in Arizona to Kari Lake.

Kari Lake just filed a 70-page complaint charging that there were hundreds of thousands of illegal votes counted in the midterm election in Arizona.

The complaint seems well-documented, and, unlike too many post-election complaints, this one makes a credible argument that the fraud was so extensive it provably affected the election results which must, therefore, be overturned.

Among the key points Lake makes are these:

— “59% of Maricopa County precincts had broken tabulators or printers on election day disenfranchising voters, and tens of thousands of illegal mail-in ballots were counted that did not pass signature verification requirements.”

— “The number of illegal votes cast in Arizona’s general election on November 8, 2022, far exceeds the 17,117 vote margin between Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and Democrat gubernatorial candidate Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, certified at the official state canvass on December 5, 2022.”

A Rasmussen poll indicates that 72% of voters agreed with Lake’s claim that her election was “botched.” Cynics -- maybe realists is a better categorization -- keep arguing that we can’t vote ourselves out of the present governance mess. This would be a tragic failure if true. If people think we cannot determine our fate through elections, they will stop bothering to vote and such widespread disaffection would not bode well for a continuation of the American experiment in representative government. It looks as if Lake and her team have presented the strongest possible evidence in support of her contention and the judiciary will do a great disservice to all of us if it fails to give serious and credible resolution of her claims.

Emphasis mine. The other Leftist talking (shrieking) point about 2020 was that we never had a legal case to prove Trump's case in the 6 accursed states, except for the fact that at virtually every level, the courts, in particular SCOTUS, refused to hear the actual cases. Whether you believe they would or would not have thrown out the elections in any let alone all of those states is academic. They refused to hear the arguments.

So, maybe it's not that we're fighting the current war with the strategy of the previous. We're not even on the same damned battlefield. There are those who make a very strong case for our side quickly recognizing what the Democrats did in the past two cycles and engage in the same tactics. I'm not saying we shouldn't. But first, let's pause for a second and take a look at exactly what that entails:

The Virginia Democratic Party is instructing activists to include deceased citizens and “bad” addresses when generating voter contact lists, The Federalist has learned.

A pivotal tool Virginia Dems use to target voters for their ballot harvesting and get-out-the-vote efforts is VoteBuilder, an online database of all registered voters in Virginia operated by the Virginia Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee. In the words of the Virginia Democrats themselves, “this database contains the names and other important information about registered voters – information that we can use to target likely voters for Democratic campaigns.” . . .

. . . “I don’t know how you can in good conscience instruct your workers to solicit votes from people in those categories,” Clara Belle Wheeler, former vice-chair of the Virginia State Board of Elections and senior fellow at the Virginia Institute for Public Policy, told The Federalist. “They’re instructing people to solicit votes from people who are not legally eligible to vote — they’ve either moved, are not a citizen of the United States, or [are] dead.”

Dead people, wrong addresses, completely invented addresses, non-citizens, as well as filling out ballots of elderly and incapacitated people and even coercion. And no legal (as far as I know) mechanisms for verification once those ballots are collected/dumped into the system.

Aside from the fact that it is utterly abhorrent, let's assume that our side engages in these activities to a degree that levels the playing field. Do you think the Leftists are going to accept it if, in the words of Doyle Lonnegan re: Henry Gondorff "he cheated better than me?!" Do you think a justice system with the likes of John Roberts on the bench let alone the Marxists hacks to his left are going to rule in our favor should it come to court? Hell, with Merrick Garland and Christopher Wray, GOP candidates and election officials will be frog-marched to jail with full CNN coverage long before that.

I recognize that we probably are going to have to do what we have to do. But Lincoln's "house" is not just divided against itself. It's rotten from the foundation to the chimney.

. . . whatever the cause, a once famously lawful America has become a veritable land of thieves. The criminal is all but exempt. And the middle class and poor suffer as a result from poor services, higher prices, reduced hours, and fewer stores.

We know the solution is to deter crime by assured punishment for the guilty. But the majority of Americans either cannot or will not demand a return to sanity for fear of some sort of undefined pushback from their elites. Pick your charge: “racism,” “privilege,” “bias,” “discrimination.” Any will do.

We have seen lots of cultural revolutions in this country, but never one that was so singularly focused on razing the foundations of America—until now. Yes, there is a lot of ruin in great nations. But even America is by now running low on it.

Victor Davis Hanson's bemoaning of the depths to which we have sunk, vis a vis crime/criminality, is reflective of a greater societal rot that has infected far too many people at every level.

Again, I'm not saying not to engage but I don't necessarily see us voting our way out of this, at least not solely via that avenue.

21 J.J. makes a great point about the judiciary.

If the people decide that they cannot get *any* redress from the government through *any* legal mechanism. Well, that doesn't bode well for us as a country, does it?

People *will* start to take extra-judiciary measures.

God help us all when that day comes....

80 Gunman shoots dead three women in Rome, Italy with a Glock pistol stolen from a shooting stand [I assume a 'firing range']

||A man shot dead three women and wounded four other people in Rome Sunday, said police, in what may have been a dispute over housing.

Italy’s far-right premier Giorgia Meloni revealed in a Facebook post later Sunday that one of the victims was a friend.

The suspect shooter, 57-year-old Claudio Campi, allegedly opened fire on a meeting of his apartment building’s residents in a northern district of Rome, using a Glock pistol stolen from a shooting stand.

In a post on his blog in November, he wrote of his conflictual relationship with the people managing the building, who he accused of trying to force him out of his lodgings.

Of the three women who died of their wounds, one was Nicoletta Golisano, 50, mother of a 10-year-old boy, who was attending the meeting as treasurer.

Meloni revealed on Facebook they were friends and paid tribute to “a protective mother, a sincere and discreet friend, who was also a strong and fragile woman”.||

121 I do recommend people take the time to read Kari Lake's lawsuit (link to the filing is in the sidebar).

Yes it is 70 pages, but it is worth the time. Very well laid out, and the evidence is damning.

Four main themes that are convincing due to evidence and testimony.

1) 100s of thousands illegal mail in votes without matching signatures counted through forcing rejected ballots back through the system until someone approved, or a supervisor approved overnight without observers in the room.

2) 25K (at least) ballots injected into the system after the election with no chain of custody.

3) Counting and curing performed by a 3rd party vendor with no observers or chain of custody.

4) Election day machine breakdowns had to be intentional, were widespread, and continued throughout the day. Minimum of 30K voters were unable to vote.

Previous case law both at the federal and state level are cited, including ruling by the court where they filed. Precedent of overturning or ordering a new election also cited.

This is going to be a hard one for the courts to wish away.

Amazingly, there are still people out there who think the moderate Republican "leaders", people like Kevin Luntz-McCarthy and the Washington leadership of the GOP, still possess some measure of public virtue.

They do not. McCarthy is in it to "get along" with Democrats. He regards his voting base as the enemy. He wants to "serve" and retire rich, like the leaders who tutored him into his leadership position.

VDH makes the point that McCarthy and his ilk are ruining our country, and oppression and poverty is the inevitable result.

Riots, looting, home invasions, with the local law unable to control it. It will fall on the citizens to protect their families and property, and then things get sporty. So far, things have just been the invaders turning themselves in, with a large number of getaways. So many crossing at once will make them all getaways, and with no infrastructure to process, they will begin taking what they want.

During curing the voters who's signatures do not match the envelope are contacts and given the opportunity to come in and correct the ballot. Also unreadable markings that can't be read by the machines also require voter contact.

There were stickers handed out during the curing process that allowed anyone to put a sticker on a ballot to call it "cured" and sent for tabulation, even if the voter had not been contacted. There was no chain of custody over these stickers, and they were handed out like candy. There is no paper trail back to anyone putting the sticker on the ballot.

Responding to all of the "courts will do nothing" comments. I hope for their sake that they do take up the case. Because what went down here is going to be public knowledge starting today. This lawsuit reads like a political thriller.

This is my issue.

"Get ugly" would imply one of two things.

Either a higher court/government agency would hold the lower court/government accountable or the people would rise up and do something about it at the ballot box.

Given that the ballot box is the issue in question, the second is not even tenable. You can't say "They are holding unfair elections, we need to vote in people that will hold fair elections." So the only other option would be civil unrest, which will get you years in prison with no trial.

And I have little faith that the federal court system will act, as it hasn't. And the DOJ certainly has no interest in correcting this.

So what to do?

228 Feminism is empowering women, and they're getting angrier. Damn you, patriarchy!!!

Women are getting angrier, according to a BBC analysis of 10 years of data from the Gallup World Poll. Over 120,000 people in more than 150 countries are surveyed by Gallup every year about their emotions and the results are not particularly cheery.

The rage gap is particularly extreme in some countries. In India, for example, 40.6% of women said they felt anger during a lot of the previous day in 2021 compared with 27.8% of men. Those numbers are up from around 30% (women) and 26% (men) in 2012.

My rage is directed less toward individual men than an archaic patriarchal system. We’ve been conditioned for ~10,000 years to accept a rigid structure of societal norms that are no longer acceptable, desirable, or sustainable if we expect to survive and thrive into the distant future.

After two or three waves of feminism have washed through the culture, I’m guessing that women (and a growing percentage of men) are collectively becoming more fed up and impatient as our species evolves.

247 Thank you JJ, for pointing out that courts (state and federal), refused to hear the vote fraud cases brought by the Trump campaign in 2020.
I peruse a lot of websites - some truly conservative and most only faux conservative - and I see posts exhorting "we can't re-litigate 2020," when the FACTS are that 2020 never had a day in court. Now understandably that won't keep the likes of RedState.com and others from ignoring that and pushing the "can't re-litigate" mantra. But it is refreshing to see someone on our side proclaiming the truth on this matter.
Again, I blame the G.O.P. for the past two election cycles and their results. They not only won't fight this extensive, organized system of vote fraud due to laziness, they won't fight it because it would expose their party's duplicity in both 2020 and 2022.

Well, everyone is getting angrier, because our pop-culture, fueled by so many activists in the media, etc., have been preaching that anger = passion, and getting passionate about [whatever Lefty/popular] cause is good. Being angry means you care more than the other guy.

For women specifically, 4th wave feminists have been putting out books and other media telling women they should be angry, for example, Rebecca Traister's "Good and Made: The Revolutionary Power of Women's Anger."

Women are angry because they are encouraged to be, told that it is a valid and healthy response to any injustice, whether it be getting interrupted by a colleague or seeing a dude "manspread" on the subway -- I mean, who wouldn't get super-pissed about that, you guys?!?!

297 The abortion question is about deciding when infanticide begins, and who gets to decide.

There comes a point when it's not a simple civiil liberties question. Most nations pick something like 15 weeks.

I've never understood why it isn't a state law question.

298 Whoda thunk someone could be so sub rosa in DC? Anyway, one of my random thoughts that keeps pinging.
Posted by: mustbequantum at December 12, 2022 09:17 AM (MIKMs)

In DC he's not sub rosa. Only in the media. DC has many open secrets. Arabella and the funding of "street action", that an organization can masquerade as "just an idea" yet be well organized, have leadership, and a handbook calling its large membership to call opponents "nazis", so their deaths and injuries will be cheered, and that Ukraine is a con for big money investors and their payola recipients (yes, I feel bad for its abused people, but they were abused long before Russia, Russia, Russia).

One of the most astonishing things I ever heard was during the BLM riots, a DC person said to me "everyone knows this comes from Arabella). I had never heard of Arabella

306 From CNN (spit):

Newly-appointed special counsel Jack Smith is moving fast on a pair of criminal probes around Donald Trump that in recent months have focused on the former president's state of mind after the 2020 election, including what he knew about plans to impede the transfer of power, people familiar with the matter tell CNN.

It speaks for itself.

313 125 I do believe law requires, that a elected speaker, cannot be pushed out, unless he resigns. GOP went thru that in 1930-32.

After the stock market crash, GOP still held the house by a few votes, but resignations and deaths gave the dems the house majority. But they could not vote in a new speaker.

anybody verify?
Posted by: Jonah
---------------------
The November 1930 elections had Nicholas Longworth as presumptive Speaker by a bare 218-216 margin. Nicholas died though and was never elected speaker when the session began in December 1931 and the Republicans lost control via special elections. The Dems won enough special elections to gain control of Congress and the speakership of John Nance Garner became speaker with a slight margin in the House.

Okay, I'll call it what it really is: murder. Given the child could survive outside the womb on it's own at that point, and could be delivered by cesearean if needed, it just plain MURDER. 327 I've just about come to the opinion that the only way to defeat the one-party state is to join it. Vote Democrat.

Yes, really. The South was 98% Democrat for 100 years, when the electorate viewed the Republicans as the party of Northern occupation and Wall Street banks. Republican nominating conventions were so small, they could be (and were) held in someone's house. This didn't change until 1980 or so: by that time, the New Left (McGovern's legacy) had firm control of the D's; Carter was a disaster, but his D primary challenger was far-left (Ted Kennedy); Reagan made his famous quip "I didn't leave the D party, the D party left me"; migration to the Sun Belt made R primaries into real races; John Connally and other high-profile D pols started switching parties, and there it was.

But when the South was all-Democrat, the state party was free to lean right and helped pull the national party right. With respect to the same issues as today, all the calls for election integrity, fiscal responsibility, border protection, family values, and so on were 'coming from inside the house'. So the D party couldn't demagogue them as easily as it now does.
