I decided to do a little experiment today, and I'm hardly Fabio, but I was getting all kinds of looks today from women I found at least mildly attractive. It doesn't take much. A big part of it it is not thinking they won't be interested. The other thing, self-explanatory, confident eye contact.

I have had a couple of tiny kittens fall from my upper balcony in my house and take no harm aside from scaring me to death. The first was a teeny guy who escaped his safe room (i was pretty ill that day) and trotted right to the overlook, tried to circle around a railing pole and slipped the back feet then fell. I was right there and saw him fall. He was a bit shook up but not harmed, poor fellow. Put up plastic sheeting I had to avoid that problem. Cat used to sometimes balance on the railing there calling me to watch his whole life.
Years later I had some more kittens and put up cardboard ones. Soon after that one climbed the cardboard and fell down. He was older (6 mos) and slowed his fall on the cardboard and also wasn't hurt, so I went back to the clear sheeting.

I've had cats wrench a knee - once while I had had her staying with a catsitter friend she jumped from a window to the bed and I think caught a claw and twisted the "knee" which. My friend was so sad but I didn't blame her for not noticing, and it might have been just that second.
Anyhow, took her to vet next day and the vet searched for injuries and there was a pop when he stretched it and all was fine.
I usually gently push on the joints bones to see if there is sharp pain (they will snap if there is, or hiss) and move the limb a little. If that passes, I'll see if the limp goes away in a day or so.

There was a hawk alarm. I came out toward the hen house with my broom, and saw Bootsie sheltering the young hens under his wings. He would usually stand in the doorway of the run if there was trouble, guarding the flock. But this image of him sheltering his hens under his wings, well, reminds me of the Lord. There was a hawk alarm. I came out toward the hen house with my broom, and saw Bootsie sheltering the young hens under his wings. He would usually stand in the doorway of the run if there was trouble, guarding the flock. But this image of him sheltering his hens under his wings, well, reminds me of the Lord. (Ps 91, Ps 57...etc)

It's cloudy as hell here, but I can see the full Moon pretty good, so bright it is. Occasionally, the clouds get thin enough that I can just see Mars off to the lower left.
From here, we wouldn't see the Moon cover Mars, but it will get pretty close. Damned parallax.

It's a combination of the small size, and the spreading that you noted. The latter causes loose skin that runs along the body between the legs to catch air and create drag, like a much less effective version of what a flying squirrel does. Ironically, I've read that falling shorter distances can be more dangerous for a cat if the animal doesn't have enough time to spread the legs out and slow down before hitting the ground.

Magic Slates. Per my Dad's Cousin who was in the US Embassy in Moscow in the 80s, they used those to communicate sensitive information because they knew the Russians had them bugged.
I used to work at a place that handled sensitive information that had to be shredded if written down in notes, so I got myself a Magna Doodle. Partially to avoid issues with shredibles missing the shred bin undet the desk, and mostly to piss off my cow-orkers.
I suggest a Magna Doodle, they cost more, but last longer and they come in friendly colors. They cause heartburn.

I didn't listen to them after the moving pictures album. The period that mattered to me was Fly by Night up to Moving Pictures. Lifeson's guitar was in your face, big as a T rex. Deinonychus was a lot smaller - Hollywood had to inflate them. After the movie came out they found raptors closer to the size, and I think even larger in later rocks in America and China.

See if you can find on YT where Elvis sings and plays piano for a cover of the Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody at his last public concert before his death. Elvis is obviously blottoed and bleary but the old pro with the voice raised the roof with that song once he got started. The recorded version sucked. Sad to see such a great talent be destroyed by those around him but he let them do it to him.

They lucked into complex yet compelling harmony. Most popular songs, regardless of genre, are simple pieces that repeats. Not even Toto was able to repeat the appeal of that song in anything they did.
