LOL: CNN Fires Hyperpartisan Useless Gasbag Soy-Titted Thumb Chris Cillizza
Plus: Kanye West Has Got a Fever, and the Only Cure Is Rehabilitating Adolf Hitler and the Nazis

cnn-cillizzathumbbb.jpg

He's a low-IQ "political blogger" with nothing to say except the most trivial neoliberal-left bromides -- which is precisely why CNN hired him. CNN is a dumb person's idea of what "Smart People TV" would look like.

That's why CNN+ was going to feature a book club... hosted by Jake Tapper.

You can review Daily Caller for some of Cillizza's work. They've got their own subject tag for this Thumb.

He's basically Brian Stelter without all the toxic levels of testosterone and all the "genius" baggage.

And now, he'll have to Learn2Coal.

Unrelated, but I don't want to write a whole post about it. Alex Jones interviews Kanye West.

Alex Jones throws a life preserver to "Ye" -- "You're not Hitler, you're not a Nazi" -- expecting "Ye" to agree.

But Ye... Ye's an interesting guy. He doesn't go for the cheap points of attacking Hitler. That would be pandering.

Money Quote (though it's hard to pick just one): "Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table... Especially Hitler."

The friend who sent this points out that Alex Jones is trying, and failing, to get Kanye West to not be insane.

When Alex Jones says "You're going too far, man," you're going too far, man.

Update: Kanye speaking of the Nazis: "But they did good things too, we gotta stop dissing the Nazis all the time."

Thanks to bonhomme.

Update: I think "Ye" is going through that phase where you go way too extreme about something.

He's obviously discovered this New Cool Thing the rest of discovered back in 2015, which is that cancelling people is bad.

But he's now taking this principle to the furthest possible reach... and attempting to un-cancel and rehabilitate Adolf Hitler.

Oh, and also, he's obviously mentally ill.

He was a huge Trump supporters in 2016, and rightly (to some extent) thinks Trump conned a lot of people, wasn't the conservative he promised to be, and will not deliver on conservative priorities in 2024 if elected. Something as simple as leaving the Jan 6th protesters to the whims of the radical left "justice" mob really upset Milo, and rightfully so.

IN the first chapter of his memoir, Churchill summarizes Mein Kampf in 1 1/2 pages. It makes you wonder what might've been done had more Europeans had actually read the book, or at least a book report written by one of their subordinates. Hitler's entire policy was laid out in that book. He got elected by German voters who read that book. Once in power he set about making it happen. And as for keeping Hitler in jail a few more days... Nothing would've changed except the dates. He was committed to his vision, and the Nazis were devoted to their goal, and the Weimar Republic had no real loyalty from the German people.

"People of Color had it great in Hitler's Germany, under the Nazis. Why, there is a Black man from that time in Germany who discusses how great his life was and how he didn't experience the racisms, or even prejudice!"

Also, when I mentioned that American Black troops were involved in the liberation of the camps, I get thisi from the same holocaust denier:

"That was debunked! Blacks were not ALLOWED in Germany during the 3rd Recih!"

OK, let's set aside the fact that you just blew up your own stoopid case about how tolerant and unprejudiced the Notsees were...the Black troops were part of an invading army, who tf was there to stop them??

Including a Chinese sphere of influence in Tsingtao. Fascinating battle there in WWI as the Japanese attacked the German defenders. Germans left all sort of brewing equipment behind, hence "Tsingtao Beer" is a major product.

Also, as the defenses were falling, a German pilot was given various documents and dispatches. Flew over the Japanese lines, landed in China somewhere, wooed daughters of local leaders, and conducted an epic journey across the Pacific and US to return to Germany...I think without being caught?

348 Similar "Hilter was elected." Well no actually he was majority leader of the majority party and then took things from there. But the point is not historical, it was to make the point that democracy is fallible and sometimes disastrous.

At that moment in time the German "center left" was fully on board with the hard left/communists killing people they didn't like in the streets and had no desire to form a functioning government.

So the German establishment right decided they could probably control Hitler and his party if they brought them into a coalition government. And...they were wrong.

359 Change Richard Nixon name to "all people who were in DC on Jan 6 or all people who contributed in any way to the 'rally for America'" (or whatever it was called)...Posted by: Nova local

The extent of the pardoning power is an open constitutional question. Carter pardoned all draft evaders but that was for a specific crime. Nixon was pardoned for all offenses before he was even indicted but was a specific individual.

Arguments among con law scholars is that the pardoning power requires specificity in either the person(s) or the crime(s) for the pardon and furthermore can require admittance of wrongdoing which shortcircuits any civil redress.

In Jan 6 to when Trump left office, there was no specific list of those who offended nor a specific list of the crimes that they may have committed. That, along with the But Trump!!! attitude of the courts might have resulted in the pardons being overturned and Trump himself being convicted in Peachment part II which had its own constitutional problems of a trial when the person has left office.

What Hitler had going for him was two things:

1.) He was honest. At least about his aims and intentions, if not his tactics. Perhaps one of about 3 or 4 politicians in modern history who possessed that particular trait.

2.) Until he went fully insane, he genuinely loved Germany.

Those two simple things placed him head, shoulders, knees and toes above the rest of the puerile, childish, grasping, treacherous & repellent scum running Weimar Germany.

Also, this is actually not a joke or sarcasm. Suppose he does. Is the precedent then, that when a sitting president who loses an election, able to gin up an insurrection and if it fails, just pardon all the participants. Not that is what happened, but would not that be what a democrat loser would argue if she actually lost re election and ginned up an insurrection?
====
Aye, there's the rub. Trying to protect a contested election to the utmost and then saying "lol j/k pardons all around" seems possible to bring on the Marius-Sulla style of conflict than solve any problems. Replace "Trump" with "Obama" or "Biden" in the scenario, and how many people here would be cool with it? Bottom line, the Deep State pulled a psyop on the Republic with January 6 and got away with it, because the Uniparty wanted Trump gone, by hook or by crook. If the GOP as a whole had stayed loyal to their ostensible champion, January 6 wouldn't have withheld scrutiny for a single week. Alas! For the jealousy and spite of lesser men towards a greater one who succeeded where they failed.

The attempted rehabilitation of Hitler says more about how abhorrent people find the progs than it says anything about any one person's attention-whoring. It is actually possible to suck so much that Hitler looks better in comparison; a lot of progs and a lot of intellectually lazy normies don't really understand this because the left has (on account of lingering rage over the Barbarossa backstab, which itself is overwrought to distract from the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and from commie crimes) for so long used nazism as a symbolic stand-in for ultimate evil.

This is compounded by progs who happen to be Jewish playing unwarranted antisemitism cards in response to anti-prog criticism; you can only do it so much before people start blowing it off and it loses effectiveness, and then suddenly the response to "but, Hitler!" inches closer to "meh"

It's an odd thing. Bismarck wanted Germany to have African colonies, because he felt that it befit a great nation to have colonies. But he was always extremely, almost fanatically adamant that Germany *NEVER* fight over colonies.

Because Germany's central position in Europe was too precarious to provoke a potential *European* war over African territory. Once independence was achieved he had no more use for shooting at other Europeans, and wanted to avoid them shooting Germans at practically any cost. He was perhaps the most tepid imperialist ever, because he felt there was too much to do in too little time, and Germany had 400 years of progress to close in on before it could risk more war.

Then Wilhelm II fucked all of that work up, and it had nothing to do with the overseas adventurism that Bismarck so feared.

462 Similar "Hilter was elected." Well no actually he was majority leader of the majority party and then took things from there.

525 Possibly the top radio firebrand in RUSSIA!, Sergei Mardan, has left Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda (yes, it's a radio network). He mocked the rumors about the cause for this, denying that he had called for a return to shootings and mass repression, and harsher tactics in Ukraine.

He certainly does get a bit edgy at times - basically a full nationalist who believes Ukraine should never have become a separate country. But his most outrageous stuff is reserved for "traitors" at home.

It's sort of interesting how many of his rants on the decline of patriotism and integrity in Russia since the Soviet collapse echo similar discussions of the decline of US civic culture. And of course he's able to deliver acid sarcastic comments on such topics as LGBZTQAirForce and "trans" crap without worrying about blowback.

Hope he gets a new regular gig, he has good guests and his Russian is very clear and easy to understand.

533 Took some digging, but here is the source data. It is a database maintained by OECD that is fed by the mortality statistics from multiple counties.

The final column is for the US.

https://stats.oecd.org/index.aspx?queryid=104676

Here is the text from an article analyzing the data:

"Official figures quietly published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) confirm nearly half a million children and young adults have died ever since the Food & Drug Administration first granted emergency use authorisation to a Covid-19 vaccine in the USA.

This has sadly resulted in nearly 118,000 excess deaths compared to the 2015-2019 average.

The figures also reveal that there have been 7,680 more excess deaths among children and young adults in 2022 so far compared to the same time frame in 2020 at the height of the alleged Covid-19 pandemic.

But the year 2021 was by and large the worst year for deaths among 0 to 44-year-olds, with 291,461 excess deaths in total, nearly 60,000 more than occurred in 2020. And according to the official CDC figures, this was mainly due to a mysterious sudden rise in deaths among children and young adults from around week 31 onwards."

Germany and the "place in the sun" is on the same level as Hitler and his liebensraum. A national sense of inferiority that was going to put them in collision with someone fast. Add in ditching Bismarck who was the only sensible diplomat Germany seems to have produced (even if a kinda brutalist way) the Germans instantly went into a battleship building contest with England that flung them into alliance with France within five years. In both wars it was clear that these ships were white elephants that just gave the RN something to do if they ever left port, and were expensive as hell. Germany had plenty of outlets for trade / resources by investing in the Balkans / AH empire without trying to get physically bigger or go overseas, and backing AH to the hilt over the punitive demand to Serbia over the assassination of Ferdinand triggered WWI for real.
