Yeah. One of our el ed teachers (female) got frogmarched out of her building early last year. Similarly to the above incident, the District Spokeswoman wouldn't say shit. Folks in the know made sure everyone that cared to in the district knew what she did. Not abuse or assault per se but she has no business being around children.

Tulsa State Fair, decades ago, I went on one of my favorite rides, the Graviton (?) - where you spin around until sintrifugular forces press you against the wall and the floor drops out from under you. While tilting.
Was fun as a kid to experience the sideways-gravity, turning upside down, all kin'a crazy.
This time, I just felt like someone was putting a block of stone on my chest. I decided not to subject my heart to sintrifugular forces since then, if I could help it.

I live near Ellington Field in SE Houston. I watched those two planes fly two weeks ago in the annual Wings Over Houston airshow. I heard that B-17 - based at Ellington - buzzing around the area at least once a week for at least the last 10 years. No more. It's all very sad.

It really reminded me of footage I've seen from seeing those things go down during WWII. Unreal to see it today.
I know there are only two B-24s left, and one was grounded because it had some sort of accident. Last I heard, they weren't sure they could ever get approval to fly again.
I can't imagine the B-17 situation is much different. Beside the horrifying loss of like, a significant piece of history was lost as well.

A flying B-17 was lost in a solo crash less than 10 years ago. Engine failure at low level. Anna Puma must remember the details. One of the numerous reasons I do not fly in vintage war birds.

As I said I saw the B-17 go down. Did not see the collision. The other fighters, the P-51's were flying well above the bomber parade. Not sure why the Kingcobra was that low.

Trump won by more then 10M votes in 2020. Looks like the Reps won nationally by about 6 points this election which should have swept the "RCP tossup" senate seats and given 240+ house seats.

Economy is going to remain in the shitter, leaving Trump as the only one with political power and outside the mess that will be going on in DC. And the Dems can't pin the economy on the Reps when they control the Senate.

One of the signs of the Steal in 2020 in PA was the absurd number of votes cast just for Biden and no lower races.
As you point out it is difficult to fix the lower races because it is very, very easy to accidentally vote for a candidate in the wrong district and give the game away.

I think this is Democrat VBM turnout (and fraud), since specific districts are not seeing the same GOP margins as the rest of the country. VA-7 for example.
Weird thing is it didn't happen everywhere. Dems didn't get the same turnout anomalies in NY for example, and as many seats flipped there as in Florida.
I think the operations are run by the state parties, and not all of them used them or maybe couldn't afford to do it everywhere. We don't know how much this operation costs.

Indeed. What I believe is going on is that the good guys are working very hard to stop the steal from Kari Lake, and they still think they can do that.
From there, I believe Kari Lake will expose the massive 2020 fraud in AZ - maybe even get people thrown in jail over it. She'll push for de-certification, and eliminate the fraud machines. This will be done in a high-profile manner, awakening the public, and other states will start to fall in line like dominoes.
The new NV governor may do much of the same. In the process, they may expose any election fraud that resulted in Dem senators losing in 2022 in their states (if that happens).

All I was getting at was that what happened was: (1) the machines were used and came up with an obviously bogus count (2) after it was noticed, they called it a "glitch" and re-did it, resulting in a new count which was also wrong, and had a different number of total votes (by about 2k, IIRC). (3) then they did it a 3rd count with the machines, apparently both after eliminating any malware interference, and not screwing up the execution.
They did a hand count, which matched the 3rd set of numbers pretty well. So they declared that the machines worked! You can't make this stuff up.
It was completely obvious that the machines had been used to cheat, and they went back and modified them to not cheat before running it again.
I recall that the legal proceedings went further than others at the time, but if it went to the bitter end we probably wouldn't still be using machines. I think the lawyer that spotted the fraud, and pushed the legal case ran for statewide office, but he probably lost, given what's happened in MI lately.

I think others will benefit from that and I do expect that we will barely keep the House. But I don't put the whole mess on Democrat cheating, I put as much on the Republican establishment that also knows what's going on and didn't do shit in places it mattered. They sent millions to Murkowski and other places where establishment Republicans were allowed to win by just enough.

I have a tinyURL in a comment on this thread to an article from 12NOV saying where things stand. It says we need 7 more, and lists the races that are still contested.
AK-01 is guaranteed to go R. It's a "ranked voting" thing, and the only D running only has about 9% of the vote.
The Republican has claimed victory in NY-22 & OR-05, and the media seems to be backing that up.
So that's probably 3 right there, out of the 7 needed.
It's funny about CA. Even districts where it's a race between two Dems are proceeding as slowly in the counting as the others.
There a several CA districts where the R is the incumbent, and way ahead, so those could be wins. Boebert pulled ahead, last I heard. Also, WA-03 has been Republican for 12 years.
So yeah, it doesn't really look like they'll steal it from the Republicans, but the majority will be very thin, and that will weaken the value of that majority.

Yes to all that. There was a lot of deliberate and some inadvertent sabotage from within the party, too. Something tells me an autopsy will not be done on this election. The Blame Trump strategy has failed, because of course it did. Heads need to roll. They probably won't. The fact that McConnell and McCarthy and McDaniel have not already stepped down in a ringing indictment.
I do hope Ronna McRodent's counterpart does relay to her that he has absolutely no plans to be nice to her.

And that doesn't matter. The problem in AZ is the election laws which were written, ironically, by Republicans of the McCain ilk.
We don't need 3rd world elections in the US that allow for weeks of mass mail in voting, massive adjudication and 30% of the election machines going down on election day which just happens to be when the vast majority of Republican actually vote.
There is no reason AZ can't have the same type of elections they have in FL that report the votes a few hours after the polls close instead of no answers 5 days later. That is the job of the legislature not the SOS who only administers the law.
Everyone knows what's going on even if they lie about it.

Thanks. I read a little bit about it a day or two ago. It sounds like it might legitimately be close, so we'll see.
The way I heard it, they didn't even give NUMBERS when they claimed that the AZ US Senate race went to the Dem. It's a huge red flag, so maybe that can be pulled out of the fire. I doubt they'd act that way if it was a legit win. People prepared to deal with this - the best people - are in situ to protect Lake's campaign, so maybe there's still a chance for that Senate seat. Maybe even for that SoS too (I don't know how the SoS stuff works).

How many people lived in fear of the China virus and its 99% survival rate? How many people watched a rigged election occur before their eyes and said nothing?
I just don't see widespread resistance. It's a pretty big leap to go from submitting to an experimental "vaccine" to engaging in roving gun battles over control of granaries, water wells, gasoline pumps, and power stations.

The problem I see with your comment is that one never knows just what sparks resistance/rebellion. People will adjust to a 'new normal' for quite a while but at some point that willingness to adapt is going to stop. Look at how long it took for the American Revolution to get going. The Boston Tea Party (the resistance part) was in 1773 while Lexington/Concord (the shooting part) was in 1775. And our Revolution/insurrection/rebellion was purely political. When you toss in hunger and lack of other resources like electricity, heating or fresh clean water, rebellion can happen with alacrity. A preference cascade against the current status quo, if you will.

Now, Jack Benny was just the opposite. He was indeed a natural, and had probably the best comic timing of any, at least in the modern era of which we have records.
When Jack died, Bob Hope was supposed to give the main eulogy. He couldn't do it, just getting too choked up. George Burns did it for Bob, and remarked that Jack was supposed to have the best timing of any comedian, but this time, Jack, you stunk. Way too early.

I think the problem today is many are waiting for 'someone else' to start things. We all know the first head or two that pops up gets blown off, so there is fear. But hunger wipes away fear because, at that point, what do they have to lose?

I was reading something today about food dyes, and didn't realize that some of the "natural" dyes are made from crushed insect parts, and as such, are not Kosher.
And the WEFers want us all to start eating insects now.

The modern American diet is metabolic poison, I've come to realize. High to ultra-processed foods are poison. You wouldn't believe how much the typical diet has changed over the last few decades.
And that change correlates with all the bad stuff, The Diabeetus, obesesity, heart disease, cancer, etc.
10, 15 years ago, I would've dismissed this as kookery. Now, I understand.
