Happy seal! Or maybe he's having a tantrum, and he's a Stampy Seal.

Angus the Sea-Husky. Two videos in that link. He's like Rudolph but more annoying.

I can excuse the physical errors, but not the mental errors.

The guy's trying not to look, but he's getting the hard look anyway.

The Magic Bag.

ICYMI: This! This! This is what I want!

99 44/100 pure.

This is where I put my paw. Where I put my paw is here.

Strangelove tail syndrome.

Catching dust motes.

This cat is giving out high-fives to the studio audience like Larry David.

Husky (I think) shows cat-like contortion and compression abilities.

Mama cat is proud of her kittens.

Happy dog.

Shake it off, shake it off...

A cat among the rats.

Don't you Lambada?

Its just what they do with each other on a larger scale. Cats hang out in areas and thus are harder to sneak up on - kittens will be watched while mom relaxes and eats - safer areas allow everyone to relax more.

Yes, they are predators, but not apex predators. That's what makes them so entertaining.

Speaking of which, one of mine is using me as an observation platform. She can survey the room knowing I have her back.

I'll say this for cats - they are great at finding odd stuff, including stinging insects. I can't count the times that some wasp or hornet somehow wriggled in and I was clued into it because the cats started tracking it.

When a show is "big" and people are raving about it, I hold back because it's highly likely the writers will screw up the ending.

But the other risk is that the damn thing will just not get renewed because woke idiots or something kill it. The Zelda Fitzgerald show was GREAT, but it got whacked by woke politics.

This is why I tend to watch 80s shows on DVD. I know what I'm getting. Currently working through "The Equalizer." Missed the first run, enjoying it immensely.

It may seem strange to us today, but going to a foreign country to explore, trade or even fight was considered completely normal and respectable.

If you were of the merchant class, you followed the money. Want to mount an expedition? See who will pay you.

If you were of the military class and your country was at peace, it was expected that you'd "take service" somewhere else because that's how one made money and advanced in rank.

94 Was recently in Spain and Columbus statutes and such are all over the place - there is a huge statute of him pointing towards Italy (or out to sea, depending on wh you ask) on top of a tall pillar at Barcelona harbor and his gigantic ornate mausoleum/crypt is in the huge Cathedral in Seville. The definitely claim him as one of theirs, there. The Wokes have not pulled down or defaced these monuments, yet.

Mamma cats creche their kittens when they live in a pride, it gives them a chance to hunt and stretch. In ways they consider humans to be big dominant cats, so we get stuck with the babies when they want to go hunt.

Magellan was fighting with the Portuguese nobility and ship owners who did not want to mount an expedition since they had the whole route mapped out and owned. The Spanish crown was willing but the Spanish nobility was as or more corrupt and there was a couple of near mutinies in harbor and some near arrests for being Portuguese. Well, accusation of stealing and not fitting out the ships correctly and not getting crew, but mostly because he was Portuguese.

I binge-watched the 3 LotR movies last weekend, and it was amazing to see how much better a swordsman Viggo was in the last movie compared to his very first filmed scene, which was him defending the 'Obbits on Weathertop.

He'd just got off the plane to NZ, having only been cast the day before to replace the original Aragorn actor, and had never picked up a sword before. Watch the Weathertop fight and you'll see he has absolutely no clue what to do.

The guy who taught all the actors to fight with swords ended up giving Viggo high praise as being the "best natural swordsman I've ever taught".

According to Whitlock, the movie portrays her as being the one who tells the King to stop the slave trade, which is bullshit, since they continued slaving luxuriously from 1832 when the movie is set until the 1850s when the Bloody British Empire finally stopped them.

Apparently during the credits there's an additional scene where the girl-riors are shouting the names of their fallen (in 1832) sisters and you'll never guess whose name gets shouted:

Breonna Taylor.

That was the last of 4 movies that Rutger Hauer did with the director, as they had a falling out. No wonder. Rutger was a tough guy but I can't see him being all enthused about playing the disgusting pig rapist and lunatic he was required to play in that. Yech.

Yes, on every level. Set in Italy in 1501, it's about a bunch of mercenaries who abduct a noblewoman, who Rutger Hauer gang rapes (they all join in holding her down) and there's lots of gratuitous nudity, mayhem and blasphemy and basically it's about the director getting his rock off watching nekkid actresses do naughty things.

And yet somehow ended up bringing him on for Robocop and then how the filming of that movie was a disaster, but did end up a hit.

I saw it in the theater under duress (my youngest begged me to take her) and I tried, really tried, to hate it. I couldn't.

It's a legit good movie and blends seamlessly into the original. It's not really a sequel, it's the second half of a story that started in the 80s.

I did not believe such storytelling was still possible.

Cleaning up the debris. Can't taste food much (at all, which blows), residual mouth-ulcers, earaches, phenomenal penile growth, self-pity, mild trismus, weight loss, enhanced surliness. It's no false modesty to say that, medical research regards, I'm standing on the shoulders of (sadly, dead) giants. RIP. Hope Massachusetts isn't too crazy, eh?
Posted by: ZOD at September 20, 2022 08:35

What is the problem, covid? I missed it Zod, tho I've never heard of covid causing penile growth.

Tho enhanced surliness comes w/ some medical diagnosis. I'm kinda cranky since they told me I have prostate cancer. See an oncologist on Thurs.

Asked the urologist doc if we could speed this up. He says I'm fine while this has been weeks since I was diagnosed. Yes, he can say I'll be fine but he's not the one walking around w/ cancer.
