Christian Nationalism Is Biblical And America-First, But It’s Not White

If you want to know what the establishment’s all-seeing eye is maniacally fixated on, the amount of energy the corporate media orcs spend bludgeoning “Christian nationalists” provides a clue. Over the past 48 months, there have been dozens of hit jobs on the terror of “Christian nationalism”; there have been about a score of these smear pieces just this past month alone.

Their Pavlovian function is to condition Americans to associate the term with a bunch of extremists and racists who pose a Hitleresque threat to this country’s democratic institutions so that they will dutifully freak out. These articles rely on the same tactics: straw man arguments that misrepresent both Christianity and nationalism, and phony attempts to depict the movement as white.

The article does a good job of explaining how Christianity is right in line with Americian values, but I think not enough attention is given to the term nationalism. We've ceded the ground to the left on this one, and that's a very bad thing. “Nationalism” is widely seen as evil, but nobody ever counters that it depends on what kind of nationalism. Hitler's Germany? Stalin's USSR? Of course nationalism in support of those ideologies is bed, because those states were evil. But nationalism in support of this country, and by that I mean the principles it was founded on, that all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, that government should be limited and constrained to only enumerated powers? That's a great good thing, and I am proud to be considered a nationalist in support.

Speaking of great good things, Here's a video clip of the author of The Great Good Thing, Andrew Klavan, talking about his conversion to Christianity. I found it interesting.

That'll Be $6.66 Please

Is Amazon One the Mark of the Beast? No, but That Doesn’t Mean It’s a Good Thing.

Does anyone remember Amazon’s Astro, your own personal robotic assistant? Sounds like just the thing we’ve been hoping for, right? Gizmodo reports that In Sentry mode, Astro patrols your home, looking for faces/things that it does not recognize and ostensibly reports back to you. It can also be paired with Ring. And by now you know that Amazon was sharing Ring information with law enforcement without notifying the owners. Ars Technica has the full story here.

Ideally, the internet of things is supposed to make our lives more convenient. But what it does is facilitate the surrender of our personal information and activities to the corporations, who sell it for a profit and, as Ring shows, provides it to the government when necessary. The problem with that is who decides when it is necessary and what are the parameters for doing so.
No one would argue that if Ring, Astro, or even Amazon One could nab a drug dealer, identity thief, or child predator, that would not be a positive. But what if you are engaged in an activity or a purchase that while not illegal or immoral, is one that the powers that be don’t like? Let’s say you are following the example of the parents in the Loudoun School District in Virginia and are viewed as a potential terrorist. How will your information be used then?

It's alarming how far down the rabbit hole we already are, and how few people seem to see it. We had a taste earlier this year in Canada when the government froze the bank accounts of people participating in the trucker's protest. We just hand away our individual sovereignty for convenience and never think twice (and I'm as guilty as anyone of this). Unreal.

Speaking Of Canada...

Canada installing weapons armouries, interrogation rooms for Ministry of Climate Change Nonsense

The Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Nonsense Canada (ECCC) is building a new facility in Winnipeg that will be home to a firearms armoury, interrogation rooms, biological labs, media relations offices, “controlled quiet rooms,” and intelligence facilities.

The plans, which were drawn up by a firm in Winnipeg, open a window into Trudeau’s future plans for Climate Enforcement.

Down the hall from the proposed “Firearms Storage” rooms are several evidence rooms, interrogation suites, and adjacent recording rooms.

The Impact Assessment Act (IAA), which was quietly passed in the final days of Trudeau’s majority government, grants sweeping power to Ministerial “Enforcement Officers.” But, until now, little has been explained about where and how Climate Police will be deployed.
The IAA empowers agents of the Ministry of Climate Change Nonsense to enter premises without a warrant to “verify compliance or prevent non-compliance with [the Act].
Trudeau’s Climate Police may enter any project location that affects the environment to take photographs, access computer systems and communication devices, and “direct any person to put any machinery, vehicle or equipment in the place into operation or to cease operating it.” Climate Police may also prohibit access to the location entirely.

Coming soon to an America near you. Think not? Guess you missed the story that Ace posted earlier this week about how the Democrats stuck authorization for the EPA to regulate carbon dioxide into their inflation increasement act.

Scientists Achieved Self-Sustaining Nuclear Fusion… But Now They Can't Replicate It

Seems to me I've heard this before, but it'll be a great day if they can finally pull it off.

Scientists Gave Young Mice The Blood of Old Mice. Then Things Got Weird

In a new experiment, young mice briefly experienced signs of old age when scientists infused them with the blood of older mice. A similar aging effect occurred when human cells were immersed in the plasma of older individuals.

The reverse effect was also observed. Second look at vampires?

39 After WWII Western leaders couldn't point to the socialism, scientism, secularism etc as the cause of all the evil that had been done in Germany because they agreed with 90+% of the Nazi's policies. So they blamed nationalism. And since so many Western leaders were at heart international utopian socialists turning patriotism into a dirty word helped with their plan to eliminate the nation state.

86 I've been following this research for a while.

Fortunately for the young, it turns out that it's mostly "bad stuff in old blood" rather than "good stuff in young blood". While putting young blood in an old animal (or, likely, person) does improve, it's apparently due to the old blood being watered down. You get just about as much effect by removing old blood plasma and replacing it with saline.

It makes sense when you think about it. If you think of your blood being like the oil in your car, and your kidneys and liver as being like the oil filter, the filter is a good thing to have, but can't remove ALL the bad stuff.

No matter how good the oil filter is, once in a while you need a full oil change.

90 "Nationalism" is bad, we're told - but the real reason is self-determinism, sovereignty, rule of law, voting, all that stuff, that's the real target, because it stands in the way of looting the treasury, people, and resources.

Yes of course nationalism has its flaws, like anything else, bad people can misuse good things.

Keep in mind the alternative is internationalism.

You know - all those secret agreements that caused about 20 countries to go to war with each other overnight aka "World War I" - a debacle unparalleled in world history, and one still reverberates today.

There s no benefit to ceding control to unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats and various asshats and orgs behind the scenes.

What are the supposed benefits or success they can point to? Being a sovereign nation, looking out for their people's interests, does not mean "isolationism" or "xenophobia" or all the other guilt trips they try to play. They've even got the phony baloney pope dude to try and work people over. It's insidious.

Feb. 20, 2019 -- Ambrosia Health has shut down its clinics offering transfusions of young blood plasma after the FDA issued a statement saying the science was unproven.

And there are a number of clinical trials underway by other companies. I figure some swanky Swiss clinic offers it, but on the Q.T.

The two are not linked. In fact they are often at odds, because my Christian faith supersedes my belief in the Constitution.

For instance, I believe that my government should promote the teaching of the Christian doctrine because it is the truth. And I believe it should promote it exclusively because all other religions are false religions.

If I know something to be true and of the utmost importance, why would I then say that I'd prefer that it not be taught to children or influence the decisions of those that govern?

242 I think Gurgle has found a new way to F with the conservatives. I looked up AOS HQ tonight and the top search result that gets you the blog, had the text "The 239 page graphic pornographic model that had images of fellatio.." etc.

Yes that appears to be a snippet of the story about a library that was lending horrific porn to minors. Yet it seems that particular phrase bubbled to the top of the top search result --making the site look like hardcore ghey porn to someone who was just looking for the site, but maybe wasn't that familiar with it.

I truly think they found a way to avoid a charge of "burying" the search, while depressing the numbers of people who click on the site. I haven't heard of this as a thing but it seemed pretty blatant. And, in the case of Gurgle, I cannot accept that it was random.

My personal opinion is this, you should do as you please.

But your friend that you dumped is also free to do as he pleases. If he hates your guts for it, respect his opinion and accept his decision. I know I wouldn't want to hang out and listen to some chick I was interested in blathering on about how things are going with my friend.

If that's not an acceptable outcome for you to risk, then don't tempt fate.

Oh sweet honey iced tea, I am so out of my depth here because Pooky and I started dating when he was a few days away from 16 and social media wasn't a thing yet.

However... is there a way you can meet in person? All three of you go get drinks together or something? That way Friend can see you hitting it off with Potential Boyfriend and not think you're going behind his back.

259 Coming soon to an America near you. Think not? Guess you missed the story that Ace posted earlier this week about how the Democrats stuck authorization for the EPA to regulate carbon dioxide into their inflation increasement act.

All it takes is leadership. We have the law. SCOTUS has said no but they did it anyway. Just as Trump exposed them when he was president, just as their heads explode every time he speaks or writes. As the thousands attend his rally's each one of those attendee represent thousands.

Trump is a leader and as he has stepped forward others are stepping forward. Strong people are stepping forward.

Elon Musk has been red pilled, no, he's not a conservative but he believes in the Constitution and the rule of law and that's what it's about and he's pushing.
_DeSantis is pushing. _Tucker Carlson is pushing. These are take no prisoners punch back leaders.

And the backup choir/support group - more than 90% of Trump's endorsements have won. Then there is MTG, Boebert, Paul, Stefanik, Johnson and those I don't know who are ready to take it to them.

No, we are not losing. We are winning.

282 Need some prayers. Oldest son of some dear long time friends has just been transferred into ICU. Last May he collapsed immediately after receiving the second Phizer shot. His promising career as a pastor in a fairly large church in SE Washington ended that day. He is a father of two young boys. He had been struggling on a roller coaster of progress and setbacks. They can't identify the cause other than the fact that it is neurological . This morning he woke up confused and disoriented. His wife took him to the ER this afternoon. They have transferred him to ICU and induced a coma . The prognosis is not good. I have known him since he was 9. He's the same age as my oldest. He's the kind of young man any parent would and should be proud of. I am so Fucking angry right now this is difficult to type. Please pray for him, his wife and sons.

Exactly. That's what the story tells. It is the story of a man who decided he could be God and organized other humans to work under his direction to get to heaven under human power. So God caused them to speak different languages and they dispersed and the project failed. A better simile couldn't be made for globalism.

327 It is hard to meet people. For me anyway. I work in a very liberal industry. Plus, it does seem that men are generally uninterested in women. There's really not much of that style of flirting happening anymore, at least not around me. Most women I know are single. Most have also been burned by sleeping with men right away (burned ha), and so lots of them check out of the game for months or years at a time.

Something has changed. Every unattached woman I know senses it. I think it's Me Too, but of course they think that was great. Whatever it is, it's bad.

Which is why I'm so drawn to this guy, who was masculine, intelligent, attractive, and ...alive.

But thanks for your advice. I'll keep you posted. I think I'll try the social situation, and if I can't get that going, just go straight at it

But the difference between that and Alexa or Siri is that computer was MY computer, not someone else's that was miles away, collecting all my information and data in ITS databanks, instead of MINE. That the computer is MINE is the future I was promised. Google and Apple and Microsoft took that from me and corrupted it and twisted it into the monster that IoT and "assistants" currently are.

347 There's really not much of that style of flirting happening anymore, at least not around me.

I think flirting is going on, but only the top people at work are allowed to do it.

As an example, at one company I was at one of the married head honchos started having an affair with a woman that reported to him. He had a lot of sway AND they needed him, so they just made the woman change managers. She got to keep the promotions he gave her for, uh, well managing his staff on the breakroom couch.

At the same time I got hauled into an HR tribunal because one of my coworkers made an off-color comment about a partner to me ( something like "If you don't get everything right with these fuckers they'll fuck you in the ass") and a feminist cow-worker, I'm pretty sure I know which one, reported him "on my behalf".

348 I've noticed several recent attempts to rehabilitate and beg on behalf of Jeff Goldstein, who made quite a career out of begging his readers to support his hardly impoverished lifestyle.

I'll give him credit for his writing of fifteen years ago arguing for taking into account that the intention of a speaker or writer counts more in understanding what he is saying than the whimsical interpretation of the readers, such interpretations being usually misreadings.

Of course, this is a pedestrian observation, remarkable only in an age of intellectual rot such as we live in, where intellectuals are more intent on telling you what one means than in understanding what one means.

What I do find odd is that no one seems to remember his post excoriating Trump and all who supported him during the 2016 campaigns, a post which met with great approbation on the left. If he ever repudiated that stance, I'm unaware of it.

But from what I heard (I could be wrong) they weren't very clear about it. Slipped it onto a list, and the list was referenced elsewhere. It was pretty clearly a legislative trick.

Scotty Kilmer has some thoughts on this, including using a Lucas additive. Check his Ytubes.

Cut to the chase: the dirty trans oil may provide the necessary friction to keep things from total slippage failure. Lucas additives can help but it's all a delaying action. Eh, i'm not as cynical about the Court as most but then I don't think they should be in the power position they were never intended to be. Relying on the Court to govern is what got us into this mess in the first place. They are supposed to call balls and strikes not make law.

Our problems lie with our elected officials. They are the ones who appoint the judges and all the bureaucrats who are really destroying the country. In a better country there would riots right now over the fact that we know beyond a doubt the FBI rigged the 2020 election and lots of other elections. But aside from some mean tweets and angry comments nada.

405 Scotty Kilmer has some thoughts on this, including using a Lucas additive. Check his Ytubes.
Cut to the chase: the dirty trans oil may provide the necessary friction to keep things from total slippage failure. Lucas additives can help but it's all a delaying action. I found out my shop won't touch a transmission fluid drain / flush if you're over 100k miles; will refer you to a transmission repair shop instead.

406 As an interesting point to consider re: Christian nationalism...look at what other religions lead to...

Buddhism says the world doesn't matter, and in fact you need to completely reject it. That's the whole point of knowledge and wisdom. Which leads to the worst of people, those who don't care at all for faith, to wield power.

Islam says this world does matter. But Allah controls everything. So if Allah wants it, it will happen. If it doesn't happen he didn't. So...just publicly submit to Allah and nothing matters. And...you get countries full of people that just don't give a shit about anything.

Then how about Christianity? This world does matter, though the next is more important. God has a plan, but he is expecting you do to the right things to the best of your ability as well here and now. Christianity threads the needle between Gnostic magical thinking, eastern nihilism, and Islamic fatalism. Its kind of neat how it works in society and how it enriches any society that embraces it.

I agree with delegation (i.e. I don't want to be responsible so someone else can make the decision) being a problem.

My question though, is 'On what basis does Congress have any authority to regulate the planet's atmosphere in the first place?' Not to put too fine a point on it but air moves, and most of it is outside our national borders most of the time.

One of the major reasons I support Trump in 2024 is because I believe he now understands just how deep the swamp really is. Yes, we have some toxic politicians who do crazy shit but the real power in DC is the permanent bureaucracy.

Call it whatever name you want, deep state, bureaucracy, administrative state, it is the unelected bureaucrats and agencies that actually run most of the government today. Politicians come and go, they never leave. And they are more vicious and more lethal than any politician.

I don't think you're the slightest danger to anyone, but there isn't exactly a shortage of papers now throwing an asterisk after that "not changed" part.

462 "459 But there is a lingering stench from old Hypoid oil, that can't be scrubbed out of the skin, no matter how long the shower, or how hard the Lava is scrubbed.

It's like the stench of a corpse. It penetrates, and endures.

The clothes are best burnt, or lacking that, dumped into a Goodwill donation box. /asshole

That stink is from the synthetic anti-wear additives they came up with to replace rancid whale oil. You can actually get it out of clothing with a few years' worth of washes.

Posted by: somedood at August 26, 2022 01:22 AM (BaGvt)

463 somedood. We should save all the used hypoid oil, to rub into the noses of the greentards that think a Tesla runs without petroleum products such as LUBRICANTS and such.

Can we, please!?

I think you've been around here long enough to know that the easiest way to get more of something is to tell everyone that you have had enough of something.

YMMV

Well, we just completed a run with the boiling water canner for the first time. I'd been pressure canning before, and this was the first run with the regular boiling water.

That thing was an old enameled steel canner, which had been sitting up in my mother's attic for at least 49 years. She last canned in '73. Damn thing was still in good shape, had a little rust spot here and there, but it was nothing, and was still in good shape.

It took around 3.5 gallons of water to get that thing to the proper level, and does take some time to get that much water to boiling. I guesstimated the timing pretty accurately, and everything went slick as owl shit.

471 Making money with your mouth is more than $15k just by doing simple work from the corner. I received $18376 last month. It's an easy and simple job to do and its earnings are much better than regular office jobs and even a little child can do this and earn money. Everybody must try this job by just use the info on this page.www.whores.com

472 If a little child could do what you do and earn money that's about 20 years in federal prison, Jennifer.

From their FAQ - As a password manager, LastPass will help you in your day-to-day work while improving the overall security of your online life. Key benefits of using LastPass include:
- Convenience - No more forgotten or mistyped passwords
- Time saved - Instantly log in to websites
- Stronger security - Long passwords that you don't have to remember

I don't remember when stronger security and convenience go hand in hand. But large numbers of people can be convinced of pretty much anything these days.

Same here (KeePassX for linux), and there is no web browser integration to make it convenient. It tweaks me to no end every time a browser offers to snoop on my passwords.
