It was not enough for House GOP member from IL, John Anderson who ran against Reagan as an independent. Once again, we see the splitter strategy designed to take down a conservative. Bush was why the GOPe reverted to its loser form during his term and all the new seats and new energy that Reagan brought in was pissed away for one thousand points of light bullshit Peggy Noonan types. Remarkably the total cost ended up at about $100 per month which was what I was paying before the price reduction. The secret sauce was the mysterious fees went up at the same exact time. Fortunately, CenturyLink upgraded the box up the street with new fiber and other magic at the same time. I couldn't sign up fast enough. My CL service is $50.00 total per month for 100mps service which is more exceeds my needs by a bunch. Bonus: It is the most stable internet service I have had to date. There are quite a few live versions out there. Most of their transportation govt heavy handed moves have been hated by enthusiasts but most of the public didn't feel much more than mild annoyance. If you are old enough, you remember when in 1977 they downsized the full size cars to the former midsize size. Industry was terrified the public would reject the downsized cars. Now they think they can take the average American and put him on his feet or the bus within a decade and face no pushback? Insane hubris.

I've been thinking about Christmas for a couple months now. I haven't had my Marine home for Christmas since 2018. I've been thinking about food and decorating and gifts and everything. The girlfriend will probably join us either Christmas Day or the day after. She's a nice girl. She does have a couple tattoos though. But it's almost impossible to find young women without them these days. She voted for Trump, is pro life and wants to move to Texas when he's done with the Marines and they get married. So. That helps.

Some manufacturers remove stop+start on their high performance models, so you can pay up to remove the inconvenience.
It's still ridiculous that a 330hp car has s+s, but if you move up to the 449hp sport version, then they'll remove it, along with several thousand dollars from your wallet. Posted by: Grudge Harbor at August 16, 2022 09:30 PM (wBpKf) 367

Evening.
Stuck in Biloxi. Boo! Oddly enough, found out I have distant relatives here that own a large pest control company (company was founded by my grandfather's cousin so my third cousin). Looked up the company online and on the About Us page is what you can usually expect to see in these things, family owned company etc etc etc. But also a mention of being directly descended from a couple of different Indian tribes. They're very proud of this. I've never heard from my mom about having any Indian heritage. I'm personally a bit skeptical of this but it's not out of the realm of possibility, I suppose. Although I would find it mildly amusing. I could at least say I'm more Indian then that crank from Massachusetts. So Mexican on dad's side with a possibility of having a smidgen of Indian on mom's side. Interesting. Posted by: Robert at August 16, 2022 09:44 PM (EhYgL) 430

Not a win. That would be pipe-dreaming. My suspicion is a threat to run (perhaps as an Independent) to siphon off a percentage or two of "Republicans" or Undecideds in order to close gaps in blue states. She could say, "Give me something of value and I won't try to sabotage you. I'll sit on my hands in 2024." Now, how much pull she would have is unknown and likely non-existent. But The Swamp has invented ways to screw the country over for generations. She would welcome the attention and some GOPe would be receptive to paying her off. Unless things have changed, and they might, tests of Minutemen from Vandenberg are SOP and have been for decades. Usually it's a missile and crew that are pulled "off the line", from actual USAF active duty missile bases, and shipped to Vandenberg, so they can practice a live fire. Of course the payload is changed out to a dummy/test payload.
And the target is the PMTR (Pacific Missile Test Range) in the Marshalls (Kwajalein). There's now a lot of missile defense work done there too, and the names may have changed. And I don't think the US and China are within a light year of war with each other. Posted by: rhomboid at August 16, 2022 09:49 PM (OTzUX) 461

I think Cheney thinks she'll siphon off enough R votes to tank whomever runs (DeSantis, Trump, or other.)
It'll buy her a couple months of limelight. Which is what she really wants. Maybe even a position in whomever succeeds *biden's administration. Posted by: Martini Farmer at August 16, 2022 10:10 PM (BFigT) 526
Hageman 64.3% with 17% counted.

C'mon Dave in Fla... I need your prediction! Otherwise I won't sleep.
Posted by: LASue -------- Decision Desk already called it for Hageman. Also Palin is going to advance in AK, and the Trump endorsed Senate candidates are doing better than expected. Cheney might lose every county in the state. The only one she might win in Teton. Looking like one of the worst loss by an incumbent ever. "She chose honor instead"
------------------ That is the sort of idiocy repeated on Twatter--bumpersticker crap. The Jan 6 cmte has created political prisoners, violated its own empowering resolution, ignored basic decency like cross examination of witnesses, Liz herself appears to have coached a witness into changing her story, and overall is an embarrassment in civil liberties violations of attorney client privilege, speech and debate provisions in the Constitution, the 5th Amendment, and due process. McCarthy's hearings or HUAC's look to be pillars of justice compared with that mess. Notice that Senators are staying away from it as Nanzi's mess. 532 ha! Cheney is already giving her concession speech.
This is a monumental blowout. Posted by: JackStraw at August 16, 2022 10:17 PM (ZLI7S) ========= I was assured that all of her moves over the past 6 months were done because she knew the cheat was in and she was going to win. I get paid more than $90 to $100 per hour for working online. I heard about this job 3 months ago and after joining this I have earned easily $13,000 from this without having online working skills. Simply give it a shot on
