The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

Are you shitting me? Donald Trump might have kept the world’s nuclear secrets in his basement at Mar-a-Lago? The same place Rudy Giuliani sleeps to avoid the sun light. That is so irresponsible! Because, you realize the worst-case scenario with these documents is that Trump sold them to like Saudi Arabia. Late night TV host Trevor Noah

Go back to South Africa you POS.

Quote II

“One year later, I think the president feels that the decision that he made was the right decision for the American people.” National security adviser Jake Sullivan

Delusional little twit

Quote III

“You have chosen your lifestyle, it’s not a medical condition that you’ve been forced to endure through no fault of your own. Your choice does not fit with our style of cooking. We respect your choice, and expect that you respect ours. Owners of The Kitchen at London House on the Isle of Wight, England

Quote IV

“It’s an incredibly inefficient use of land to grow crops, feed them to a ruminant or pig or chicken which then over its lifecycle converts them into a very small amount of protein for us to eat,” British businessman Henry Dimbleby

See Quote II. Taliban seized more than $7B in U.S.-provided weapons when Afghan government fell

More than $7 billion worth of U.S.-supplied military hardware, ranging from howitzers to sniper rifles, fell into the hands of the Taliban in Afghanistan when the American-backed government in Kabul swiftly collapsed amid the U.S. pullout a year ago.

In a report released Tuesday, the Defense Department’s Inspector General said the U.S. government provided almost $85 billion in security assistance to Afghan forces from 2005 to 2021. About $18.6 billion of it funded the procurement of weapons and equipment over the years.

The Taliban seized more than $923 million worth of military aircraft; $4.1 billion worth of ground vehicles; and more than $511 million worth of weapons when they took control of Afghanistan, according to the report.

That certainly appears treasonous to me. And if that isn't what about this?

And please keep Quote II in mind. Elite Afghan forces bring U.S. training to Tehran, according to whistleblower interviews

Elite Afghan soldiers trained by the United States fled to Iran with weapons and specialized combat training following the Biden administration’s bungled withdrawal from the country that let the Taliban regain power, according to a report by Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs Committee based on interviews with whistleblowers and internal State Department documents.

"A ‘significant’ number of Afghan special forces and about 3,000 Afghan security forces, including high ranking officers, crossed the border into Iran," according to the report, which was released on Monday to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the deadly U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan. "Some brought military equipment and vehicles with them. We believe this happened because they were not evacuated by the U.S. or our allies, and therefore had no other option."

No freedom of religion for you, College of the Ozarks's (CofO).

The United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit ruled against the College of the Ozarks's (CofO) lawsuit against the Biden administration's directive that universities permit student housing based on gender identity.

The court ruled against the Christian college in Point Lookout, Missouri, on July 27. CofO filed the suit in 2021.

CofO challenged the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) after a memo was issued in Feb. 2021 that prohibited discrimination of “gender identity or sexual orientation” under the Fair Housing Act.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which represented the college, alleged that the order violated religious liberty by forcing religious schools to open “their dormitories, including dorm rooms and shared shower spaces, to members of the opposite sex."

The appellate court, however, upheld a lower ruling to toss the case on the basis that the college lacked sufficient standing to sue.

It doesn't appear that the Episcopalians will have any problem with government edicts in the near future.

After leftists have infiltrated an institution, they subvert it to advance objectives that may be diametrically opposite its original purpose. For example, churches that have been co-opted by progressives become dedicated not to good but to evil:

The Episcopal Church passed a resolution in support of sex change attempts “at all ages,” calling it a matter of “religious liberty.”

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Blasphemous depravity and the desecration of innocence are religious liberty.

Some interesting news on the Kung Flu..................

About those mask mandates?

With Los Angeles County health officials announcing last month masks will no longer be required indoors, a letter surfaced signed by doctors and researchers from USC and UCLA suggesting mask mandates were ineffective at preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the county.

The February letter from researchers and medical professionals at UCLA’s Geffen School of Medicine and USC’s Keck School of Medicine was sent to the LA County Board of Supervisors asking the board to end mask mandates.

“The time to end local mask mandates is now,” the letter reads.

Data shown within the letter suggest there was a continued increase in COVID-19 cases in the last 7 months of 2021, even though mask mandates were in place during that time.

The Kung Flu prick is a murderous tool. And no, I'm not apologizing for my harsh rhetoric.

More than 40 percent of pregnant women who participated in Pfizer’s mRNA COVID vaccine trial suffered miscarriages, according internal Pfizer documents, recently released under court order. Despite this, Pfizer, and the Biden administration insisted that the vaccines were safe for pregnant women. Out of 50 pregnant women, 22 of them lost their babies, according to an analysis of the documents.

In a January court ruling, U.S. District Judge Mark Pittman of the Northern District of Texas, ordered the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to release around 12,000 documents immediately, and then 55,000 pages a month until all documents were released, totaling more than 300,000 pages.

The nonprofit group, Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency, sued the FDA last September, after the agency denied its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to expedite the release of mRNA vaccine review documents. In a November 2021 joint status report, the FDA proposed releasing only 500 pages of the documents a month, which would have taken up to 75 years.

The NBA is reaching for the stars with their virtue signalling. What are they doing for the slave labor camps in China?

The NBA won't hold any games on November 8 — Election Day for the 2022 midterms — in an effort to focus on encouraging fans to vote.

"The scheduling decision came out of the NBA family's focus on promoting nonpartisan civic engagement and encouraging fans to make a plan to vote during midterm elections," the league said in a tweet.

The NBA says over the next few months, teams will provide information on their state's voting process and voter registration deadlines in order to help fans make a plan to vote.

Someone was very lucky that the farmer was paying attention. Suicide by combine is a messy affair.

THIS is the hilarious moment a furious man jumps in the path of a combine harvester claiming it ruined his family picnic.

In the extraordinary clip the trespasser can be seen standing in a wheat field as the monster farm machinery worked.

More proof that Pixie Dust and Unicorn farts do not provide protection from the Kung Flu.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time on Monday but is experiencing mild symptoms.

The vaccinated and boosted secretary said in a statement that his last contact with President Joe Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19 on July 21, occurred on July 29. Since then, he traveled to U.S. Africa Command headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, and met with government leaders and U.S. troops in Latvia.

Hey President Trump, just release the damn footage.

Trump Demands Transparency, Pledges To Release CCTV Raid Footage

We’re supposed to believe that the same FBI that ‘accidentally’ took 3 of Trump’s passports (2 now expired) only took things they were lawfully entitled to?

He may be President, but the 4th Amendment protections of his papers and property still extend to him as a citizen. There was no reason for an unconvicted man to have his passport confiscated by an obviously hostile government that has already shown no interest in abiding by the protections afforded to privileged content, including attorney-client or executive privilege.

I know there are several HOA officials here in the Horde. And it isn't fair to lump them all together. But this isn't a good look. Genius Award Winner.

A homeowners association president in Tamarac was arrested after a series of violent incidents during which a homeowner claims the president pointed a gun at him and racially abused him and members of his family.

In the most recent case, the victim said he got into an argument with Joseph Steckler, 77, outside his home. The victim said Steckler, who was driving a blue Honda fit, leaned out of his driver-side window and pointed a black firearm at him.

When questioned, Steckler denied that he brought the gun to the victim’s home or pointed it at him.

The victim told deputies that he had multiple arguments with Steckler in the past, and that this was not the first time Steckler had pointed a gun at him.

Plenty of teenagers get a bad rap, deservedly so. But not all. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

A group of high school football players in Rome, Georgia, saved a woman from a car she was trapped in following a crash on Friday.

The wreck involved a silver car swerving to avoid being hit by another vehicle with a teenage driver, Rome Police Department Assistant Chief Debbie Burnett told USA Today.

The silver car then crashed into white SUV, and the 50-year-old driver of the silver car became trapped in the vehicle.

167 " incredibly inefficient use of land to grow crops, feed them to a ruminant or pig or chicken which then over its lifecycle converts them into a very small amount of protein for us to eat,"

what about all the nature preserves where animals roam and don't get eaten at all? Seems very "inefficient", we should eat ALL the wildlife, and most of the humans, in the name of efficiency.

Posted by: illiniwek at August 16, 2022 10:29 PM (Cus5s)

168 Pro tip:

Whenever I strongly disagree with Lady YD about something, I always say the same thing... "blah blah blah is why I don't think you/we should do this dumb thing I disagree with. You don't have to listen to me, and you probably won't. But when the time comes that this thing goes wrong, don't try to say I didn't warn you."

Every time, it stops her in her tracks, because she knows when she's hearing the baleful toll of the Bad Idea Bell. About half the time, she even listens, and changes course. By my observation, 50% makes me way more effective at this than most dudes.

172 Excellent song selections tonight. One more. If you live in the NYC metro area you most likely know of Willie Nile. He has a crack band whose material ranges over Dylan, Dylan inspired material, and lastly lands in the vernacular of the early E Street Band material. I don't think he tours much if at all, so he isn't widely known. I picked out a cover of the band doing Petty's Running Down a Dream so you can get an instant bead on the quality of the band. This band is worth following up on.

The pullout was definitely bungled about as badly as it possibly could be, but seeing all those generals testify that Afghanistan was totally in the bag only for it to fall in a few days really soured me on everything the powers that be have said about our 20 year involvement in that country. Sooner or later someone needed to pull the plug.

But hey, we got to fly the gay flag in Kabul for a couple of days. That was totally worth billions of dollars, thousands of lives, most of our international mystique, and two generations' desire to ever agree to aggressively protect US interests overseas.

Eh, not quite...they had honor back then, so a defeat like that would have led to the general falling on his sword (or having a subordinate do the deed if he's unwilling/unable). Given that the vast majority of the troops retreated rather than get killed, they would have been severely punished as well. And Biden would have aimlessly wandered around the White House in a state of rage and anguish, shouting "Woke Milley, give me back my legions!"

247 The lesson the neoconservatives *should* learn from the fall of Liz Cheney is that people under 40 don't really want what they're selling, and they should work with the newer factions on a GOP platform that makes sense (hint: it isn't all wars and graft, all the time). Unfortunately the lesson they probably *will* learn is that they must sleaze harder to maintain the positions that they are entitled to.

Well yeah, I mean it in the cultural sense. It'd be more like the French Revolution in the sense of some cities vs everyone else and no so much state by state declaring for one government or the other. Same deal with FR though, Paris and friends had the soldiers, the factories, and the blockade capability then but that is not the case today.

Even in CA we'd most likely see the part over the mountains split with the coastal libs. Not a lot of cultural affinity between the two.

The fun thing for that company is that no employee of the government can actually bind the government contractually on such matters via a verbal agreement if a statute or a policy prohibits it or reserves it for discretion by appropriate policy makers usually those confirmed by the Senate.

One such case had a government agency screwing over a farmer who took their advice which then cost him a bunch of money. The money quote is one must turn square corners when dealing with the government.

Alaska has put a completely ridiculous voting system in place, looks to me like it's designed to let the people behind the scenes put whoever they want in office. So I think Murkowski could easily win there - not because of the votes, but because they've made it impossible for there to be an honest vote there.

There is the special house race to replace Don Young who died but only for the remaining couple of months in his term and then another for fall. Both of those are ranked choice again.

That, to me, is the biggest threat to Trump's 2024 run is the landmine of vaxx deaths and injuries blowing up. Not sure how Western society can process that their governments want them dead, infertile, or dying. Then there is eating bugs, owning nothing, and getting rid of meat.

I did look up a little bit, and I'd go with 70 years, not 100. Prescott Bush first got elected in 1952, and the Bush clan proceeded from him. Of course if you open it up to Military officials, John McCains father and grandfather were both admirals, and their dates of service go back more than a century.

Steve Kirsch stated on his Substack that a friend of his who is in the biz analyzed a vial of Pfizer comrinananannwhatever, and found that it had the PEG and nanolipids, but had no indication of the proteins. They posit that there is a huge problem with the manufacturing QA and that a fair amount is going out without the spike protein, and this may be why the injuries are so oddly spaced

He also mentioned that such analysis is illegal, and it is hard to get samples.

I told Little it was her choice if she wanted to or not. I remember telling her at the time that it might have significant impacts on her reproductive abilities in the future.

She didn't want to take it. Her mom and step-father kept pressuring her to the point where they told her they were going to make an appointment with the doctor. Little texted me in distress and I told her if she wanted I would file for full custody and that she could stay at my house full time.

Fortunately she just kept refusing and eventually they gave up (sprinkled with some "You're just like your father" commentary), so it didn't come up that. Tough kid, good kid. Apple of her father's eye.

A big part of being king is keeping the nobles in line, something Trump was never good at and it blew up in his face in 2020. BTW, US ammo was shittily made during WWI with way too soft brass leading to cartridge separations. That contributed to low number receivers blowing up on troops. There were probably some deaths and injuries attributable to teh poor quality ammo too.

1.) There are lots of Americans that barely follow politics. I suspect a portion of her votes are from people that saw a name they recognized followed by an R.

2.) Some portion of her votes are from Democrats that switched registration to vote in the primary.

3.) Some portion of her votes are from rich GOPe Republicans that live in Jackson Hole, etc.

602 The 5 states that stopped counting - unless I'm wrong, for the first time in their or any other states' histories, and only in those 5 key states - is of course one of the most glaring and (reasonably) suspicious anomalies of 2020.

I don't know in how man of those states it applies, but the operative part here that just deepens suspicion is that the ratio of votes (Joe to Don) in a few of them, in the post-pause hours, was highly anomalous. As in 10 to 1 for one candidate, which simply doesn't happen and never has.

Another key anomaly - "president-only ballots", i.e. ballots where only the presidential choice was made, other races left blank. I recall reading in the days right after the election that in at least one state, the historical rate of such ballots averaged around 3% of the total. In 2020? 18%. *This* is where the potential fraud, and the potential *material fraud* that changed the outcome - and which also would explain the anomaly of a "losing" prez candidate *still* having coat-tails in down-ticket races - most likely comes in.

About 5-10% of either party votes for the other one every election. They're too lazy to re-register or have some sort of attachment to claiming their still in a certain party.

I'd wager 10-20% of voters are mostly apathetic and pretty much always vote the incumbent, the more recognizable name gets the box filled.

And a couple percent are probably Dems who were cajoled in to trying to rescue the nepot by swapping to GOP for the primary.

Any election being this lopsided is rare and sends a message to the rest of the R's in Congress that they can be effectively primaried. So no, it's not doom, it's absolutely great.

643 None of this stuff is happenstance. They've been feeding the country a steady diet of very oddly placed Nuclear fear porn. This clears it up.

Debunking Wray's Dirty Bomb agit prop

Nobody not on their radar has access to the highly controlled radioactive materials. Either it's Wray's Fednapping 2: Nuclear Boogaloo, or pure FUD, designed to scare the mouthbreathers.

646 According to some of the big voices in the medical world, a lot of medical people don't want to face what they managed to do. That is what is going to have to happen first.

When I saw my Primary Care Doc back in March after a two year COVID-1984 delay, she tried to push the jab on me. I flat out told her no, the jab is political and the side effects have been hidden and are just coming out. She said she didn't want to talk politics. I told her the whole COVID-1984 lock down, mask-wearing and jabs to keep jobs requirement were political. She didn't like that, but has not pushed the jab on me since.

Thanks to COVID-1984, the doctor-patient relationship has taken a huge hit when it comes to trust and medical care.

647 A ‘significant’ number of Afghan special forces and about 3,000 Afghan security forces, including high ranking officers, crossed the border into Iran," according to the report, which was released on Monday to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the deadly U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Yeah, am I supposed to care?

So what if our fucked up joke of a government made a fucked up joke out of Central Asia? They also made a fucked up joke out of everything from Bar Harbor to the SF Bay. I'm more worried about that.

657 It's an incredibly inefficient use of land to grow crops, feed them to a ruminant or pig or chicken which then over its lifecycle converts them into a very small amount of protein for us to eat,

Don't care, I love beef.
Posted by: nerdygirl at August 16, 2022 10:08 PM (+lVUW)

That's why back in the day chickens lived off of bugs that would annoy the people and animals, the pigs would eat acorns and clear the nearby woods, and the cows would eat grass and give milk and cheese to keep people alive over the winters. Meanwhile you vegans starve even with vitamins.

663 Re: Quote 4 on feeding "crops" to pigs to make meat being inefficient... Such a fundamental misunderstanding of how agriculture works.

The crop land being used to grow animal fodder is not primary or good crop land. If it wasn't being used to grow animal fodder, IT WOULD NOT BE USED AT ALL, because it can't grow people food. It's marginal, shitty cropland.

A cow can take grass that is essentially useless for people food, and turn it into hundreds of thousands of calories and protein for people to use. It is absolutely an efficient use of cropland. It takes useless cropland that couldn't otherwise make food, and makes food out of it.

And brewery waste, and produce waste, and so on...
