Revealed: The Criminal Chris Wray Gave the Senate the Finger Claiming He Had an Unmissable Plane He Had to Catch.
That Plane -- Paid for By the Taxpayers -- Was Taking Him To His Weekend Vacation Venue, Of Course.

Julie Kelly

@julie_kelly2

Holy shit great find @mirandadevine "The luxury FBI Gulfstream Wray uses was recorded on Flightradar24 making the one hour and 12 minute flight later that afternoon to bucolic Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks, which happens to be a favorite summer destination since his childhood."

Chris Wray cut off U.S. Senators to "catch a flight" which turned out to be taking his taxpayer-paid G5 to a weekend vacation.

Hello @SenJudiciaryGOP

When is enough finally enough?

Miranda Devine:

Christopher Wray's disingenuous testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday, before he left early on the FBI's private Gulfstream 550 jet, speaks volumes about the need to defund the FBI -- or at least dump its unctuous director.

Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley and his team of Republicans expected to have the chance to ask a second round of questions.

Grassley pleaded for just an extra 21 minutes.

But Wray took an early mark, dismissing the committee's constitutional obligation to ensure he answers questions under oath to ensure the FBI complies with the law and is accountable to the American people.

What was so urgent that he had to leave after just three and a half hours?

Was he taking a long weekend in the Adirondacks where his family has a summer home?

It's worth examining the exchange with Grassley in detail.

"We just heard a half hour ago about you having to leave at 1:30," Grassley grizzled. "We were going to have seven minutes [each] for first round [questions and] three-minute second rounds. I've got seven people on my side of the aisle want their additional three minutes. Is there any reason we couldn't accommodate them for 21 minutes?"

Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Sen. Chuck Grassley Grassley pointed out that Wray has a private jet and can leave any time.

Wray replied smoothly: "Senator, I had a flight that I'm supposed to be high-tailing it to outta here, and I had understood that we were going to be done at 1:30, so that's how we ended up where we are."

"If it's your business trip you've got your own plane. Can't it wait a while?" he asked
Wray replied, "To be honest, I tried to make my break as fast I could to get right back out here."

Grassley, "You took more than five minutes."

Wray laughed and the silence that followed only emphasized the disrespect to all senators, but especially to Grassley, the president pro tempore emeritus of the Senate.

Note the Criminal Wray refused the specify the purpose of the flight, and refused to deny that it was for "business" purposes, as Grassley wrongly assumed.

He let a Senator continue believing a falsehood, so that no one questioned him about his insistence on leaving work early on a Friday again to go on vacation.

Wrong! He left early for the weekend on a Thursday. Had to be wheels up by 1:30 pm, he insisted.

...

And every appearance a waste of time, that simply showcased that Wray is a master of evasion. On some of the most serious questions of national security and the politicization of the FBI, Wray had nothing to say. Like Mister Magoo, he sees nothing.

Devine cites may examples of that, but here are a couple:

Wray also refused to agree with one senator's assertion that Hunter Biden's laptop was not "Russian disinformation."

He refused to admit that the Russia collusion hoax -- in which the FBI treated seriously palpably false allegations that then-candidate Donald Trump was a Russian agent -- was in fact a "hoax".

He refused to agree with Sen. Blackburn that Hunter Biden's laptop was not "Russian disinformation," and didn't respond to whistleblower allegations of an FBI coverup of derogatory information related to the Bidens in October 2020.

He refused to explain to Sen. Ted Cruz why the FBI had blacklisted patriotic historical American symbols such as the Molly Ross flag, the Gadsden Flag and the Gonzales battle flag as "militia violent extremism" in training documents.

When Sen. Josh Hawley asked why the FBI was "snooping around the concealed carry permit records" of Missourians, he had nothing.

Devine's evidence for the Criminal Wray's use of a government plane to fly him to a vacation destination? She pulled the flight records and reports it went to Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks, the Criminal Wray's childhood vacation spot.

The Gulfstream 5 took a similar weekend jaunt to the Adirondacks in June, again ferrying the Criminal Wray to a weekend getaway in the hills.

Wray ensured his testimony was useless, but if he did cut short his testimony to go on vacation at a time when his agency is under fire from all sides, then that is an act of disrespect and insubordination which requires a firm rebuke, or what is the point of Senate oversight?

Yes he lied to them and was caught out terribly (and looked miserable in the process) but there's no price to pay. If the Senate won't DO anything, what's the point of the hearings? If the Senate won't DO anything, why care what they say or ask you? They're beneath contempt.

Seems like there are A LOT of questions that need to be answered about how the FBI uses taxpayer money...

Of course, as we discussed in today's Morning Report, taxes are really a means of oppressing the masses, rather than providing the government with resources that will support the general welfare of the people.

Fairly menial jobs now come with unimaginable wealth.

The guy who spent 8 years telling you to pay more and that you only need so much has made 1000 million dollars since leaving office. He's a literal billionaire. But you are bad and he's good.

The secretary of transportation tells you to go green but travels by private jet...to global warming conferences. He will have hundreds of millions of dollars in the next decade selling green energy scams from his 20 bedroom mansion on the coast of a vacation paradise.

I don't think he had a clue who most of these people were and was relying on who he thought were loyal and capable people to advise him on good choices.

It's absolutely better, but Congress has abdicated. It has shuffled off responsibility to the Executive. It has signed enabling act after enabling act to shift legislation to the executive agencies. They refuse to play hardball. They are effectively down to just one major power, and that's the budget - the thing they haven't bothered with since the Bush 43 administration.

If Congress wants to reassert itself and regain a modicum of respect, it can do so any time it chooses. Respond to shit like this. Defund the DoJ. Cut spending on non-cooperative agencies or even just on general principle to keep them on notice. Demand - and pass - actual budgets.

I agree it would be better with a respectable Congress that does it's job. They can do it anytime they please.

174 164 The problem with the defunding line is that the house handles budgeting and the Senate is doing these jackass hearings. So they can recommend but the House has to do it and they cannot even cut funding for NPR.

Posted by: Christopher R Taylor

Senate today has about as much power as the House in budgeting but chooses instead to do omnibus bills. Each senator has the right to propose amendments to the budget and spending bills. Furthermore, the Senate itself often strips all the language from a House bill and then puts in the bill what it wants which is technical compliance with bills regarding spending and taxes originate in the House.

No, no. The truth of the matter can be seen in Trump's trade team: undercutting him would have been very easy if any of the top negotiators were leaking to the other side. Whatever else happened, most of the top trade representatives on the American side were loyal to America.

By contrast, it'd be rarer to find an FBI man that isn't a complete piece of garbage. You could blame Bill Barr, but fighting the entire DoJ isn't why he was hired and he never would have accepted the job if it was.

Trump correctly thought he could beat the FBI and CIA together, but they had to overtly steal an election to negate that.

Wray was a Bushworld, GOP Establishment foot soldier who got tapped because he was Chris Christies personal attorney and because that was the guy the establishment said they could get votes to confirm.

As has been alluded to and everyone seems to be wrapping their heads around, the entire governmental edifice essentially operates like the mob and organized crime.

245 Right. Looks like Qanon was another FBI psyop

I think QAnon was a bunch of well-meaning but ultimately ignorant and naive people trying to puzzle out what was happening and what would take place. Some of them might have even been FBI or former FBI telling how it SHOULD work or how it WOULD work if there was a shred of integrity and professionalism in the agency.

Every time a story pops up about something violent occurring, almost all of us, including myself, hope that it's not someone that shares our political beliefs involved lest we be guilty by association.

I don't see how any kind of civil conflict of any lasting effect occurs. I don't see any political maneuvering that gets us back to some semblance of good governance.

All I see is an ever increasing capacity to target and eliminate dissenting voices. Frogs in a pot.

Same with if and when a resistance forms--hard to predict but eating bugs and owning nothing is not a popularly supported platform and the repressive apparatus of the fedgov itself is riven with rivalries, unpopular, and incompetent.

What people are hoping for is the LIVs to wake up.

Politically its something like 40-20 out of people that are aware. But that other 40% is mostly LIVs that the FNM can manipulate.

And this hope isn't completely unfounded - the LIVs are seeing the inflation if nothing else.

But it is something of a long shot - that the LIVs associate the inflation with the Dems/GOPe and vote for MAGA types, and enough MAGA types get elected over a number of elections to make a difference including some that will be bribed, blackmailed, and let's be honest here, killed.

Oh, I'd say we're there. But we couldn't get there without a Trumpslide that was stolen- dissolving the Senate at gunpoint in 2020 would have made Trump look like a tyrant. Remember Fort Sumter.

If people genuinely thought that the government was completely Stalinist and that they had no other options, they'd start shooting. It's a tempting fate, but you can't force people into bravery. Either they're ready to die for the cause, or they have their own plans. Which may be, incidentally, why the mujahedeen and the Russian Army alike are dancing circles around the WEF's ambitions.

He treated the Senate with the respect that institution is due. The Congress as a whole is a pointless joke and the more people who know that, the better. I recall just days after the WTC was taken down, news reports stated that the Feebs were out there rounding up all these suspected islamic jihadists/terrorists.

So I wondered: They didn't know where these guys were 2 days ago, but they all of a sudden know today?

Then PBS Frontline did a special about a former Feeb, who left and got a job as head of security at one of the towers, John O'Neill. "The Man Who Knew".

It described how Agent O'Neill's unit had figured out Mohammed Atta and some others who were involved,
located the network...and no one in his chain of command or anywhere in IC would do anything about it.

He died on 9/11 trying to get people out of the tower.

315 "Well the navy has videos of UFOs they can't explain and now we've seen them. If they want to make a topic off limits they stigmatize it as something CRAZY people believe."

This is the evil genius of propaganda: combining something true, that you want off-limits, with enough crazy to make all related topics toxic.

Exhibit A: "white replacement theory" and "white nationalism": combining something true (that the left wants to replace/dilute traditional-Americans) with the racial angle (that is truly fringe) and you can't talk about whether it matters how many New Americans we get, or where they come from.

I'm also convinced that the dual purpose of "Russia collusion" was to (a) Get Trump (of course) but also (b) to make allegations BY Trump or GOP of Hillary's Russian corruption (Uranium 1/Rosatom) off limits.

Heh. H Beam Piper had his Paratime Police do this. Some dude screwed up and flew his real spacecraft too close to Earth in our timeline where they were seen by a military pilot in 1947 (I can't remember the name but this was a real "unidentified" sighting). So the paracops ran around hypnotizing randos in the US and elsewhere with crazy stories to discredit the pilot's report. Later his main character does something similar to "explain" the disappearance of another guy from our timeline. Seems like he was right about it working...

321 The only way the government is kept honest is by the media. Thank goodness for intrepid independent bloggers et al and talk radio so at least some of our government's corruption is exposed and known by some folks. But unfortunately even though a large majority of folks will poll as no longer trusting the FNM, they have not gone digging and found better news sources and the established media are in cahoots with the government against the citizens.

322 I don't buy the WTC collapsing because of hidden explosives instead of, you know, a passenger jet slamming into each main building with nearly full tanks of jet fuel (which can, in fact, melt steel enough to make it soft and incapable of bearing loads). However, it wasn't long after the attacks that we heard of an FBI agent reporting to his superiors that a bunch of Arabic men were learning to fly but not land and his "superiors" had told him to shut up because racism.

That, plus the stories about flying a bunch of bin Ladin's relatives out of CONUS in the 24-ish hours after the attacks.

And BTW, I _still_ want to know where the Uvalde punk got the money for two Daniel Defense rifles.

324 This is what I find so discouraging -- that the lives of Americans mean absolutely nothing to the people in power, not our own "representatives" or the people of WEF. That human beings can desire to wipe out millions of other human beings, just because, is hard to understand. I don't understand it. I never will. People just want to live and work and have a family and live in freedom with peace. Well, most people. I know it's evil, I know it's satanic, but I just can't wrap my head around it.

326 if I'm hiring someone for FBI Director, preferably it would be someone from outside the department.

Otherwise it should be some head of a field office that has never spent any time in DC.

Short of abolishing the agency, the next best thing would be to fire at least the first 5 levels of leadership.

He wrote that open letter to the DOJ in 2018 and did not get a response.
