AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:
5/28 – FortWorthMike requests prayers for his grandniece, Chloe, and her family, to find a kidney to transplant. Chloe is a toddler who has been on this prayer list before, and it has helped her. She was born with bad kidneys and had them removed soon after birth. She’s had multiple health issues, and is now getting daily dialysis at home. Her mother’s kidneys aren’t a match, and her father’s are a match, but are too large for her little body. Thanks for your prayers!
7/23 Update – Little Chloe is having a lot of bladder infections, as the medical team works to stretch her bladder (in preparation for receiving a kidney). There have been so many infections that her bladder may need to be removed. Please keep praying: for a kidney match, for her health, and for her worried family.

6/6 – Fox2! requests prayers for his niece-in-law, Courtney, who is expecting a son in August, but has had preterm labor for the last 3 weeks.
7/9 Update – The doctors will induce delivery on 7/13, if baby Waylon hasn’t decided to come on his own by then. Courtney is presenting warning signs of preeclampsia, so this is best for mother and baby. Please continue to include her in your prayers, and thank you.
7/15 Update – Baby Waylon arrived safely on 7/13. Mother and son are doing well, as is father and older sister.

7/8 – TecumsehTea asks for prayers for her dearest friend, who came down with Covid and is very ill. She is almost 70 and severely immunocompromised. She did not vax and has made it thus far, but she traveled recently. She is taking ivermectin. The Lord holds her in His hand, and He’s in charge, but it doesn’t hurt to ask Him for healing.
7/19 Update – The friend is slowly improving with ivermectin. Her lungs remain clear, but she is still weak, in pain, and has headaches and fatigue and nausea. Even the meds for nausea made her gag and vomit! Thank you for your prayers.

7/9 – Prayers are needed for Lilibeth, who has had 2 recent surgeries for bladder cancer, but has not been able to start immunotherapy treatments due to a shortage of necessary drugs.

7/9 – Bear with asymmetrical balls asks for prayers. His bloodwork is showing reduced kidney function, and he’s feeling less than well. He is slowly working the problem with the doctor.

7/12 – My Pimp Shot My Dealer asked for prayers for T and her family. T is a 19 year old who hung herself, but it was not a clean kill, and she is in the ICU with the gravest of anoxic brain injuries. They are trying a salvage resuscitation to see if she will be eligible for organ donation. She was a very sweet young lady, another victim of pedo rape at a very young age, and lived the rest of her short life broken.

7/15 – Chi-Town Jerry requests prayers for his wife, who is in the hospital again with AFIB. Although she got back to regular rhythm in the ER, her kidney numbers concerned them and they are keeping her overnight on IV. Prayers are appreciated.

7/16 – ellipse (… asked for prayers for a work friend (of 18 years) and fantastic young lady named Lauren, who has been sick and away from work for 3 months.
7/19 Update - Lauren has Bell’s Palsy. She still needs prayers. … sends her appreciation for those who have already prayed, or even just sent vibes if that’s your thing.

7/18 – Diogenes asks for prayers for his godson, who just lost his 13-year-old son to a seizure/stroke. The boy had autism and began suffering from a series of strokes over the last few weeks.

7/18 – jewells45 could use some prayers, as she has been sick. Her daughter is in pain and struggling, too, after injuring her leg.

7/18 – Emmie asked for prayers for God’s guidance and His will do be done regarding the sale of their house.
7/28 Update – The potential buyer decided it wouldn’t work for them. The house is officially listed (in a semi-rural area of Colorado). She would appreciate prayer that God would bring together the property and the people who can make good use of it.

7/19 – Fenelon Spoke asked for prayers as she attended the local Board of Education meeting, about the grooming of kids, transgenders, etc. The BOE is paying a group of LGBT teens to tell their stories, and the teacher’s union has had a drag queen show. Please pray for protection for the moms and dads defending their kids.

7/21 – Blanco asked for prayers for the family of former co-blogger Dave in Texas, who passed away recently.

7/23 – DM asks for prayers for his marriage. His wife of 36 years file for divorce.

7/23 – Count de Monet asked for prayers for his friend Cheryl, as she packs up and moves from Texas to Tennessee. Prayers for a smooth closing and safe travels are appreciated.

7/24 – t_bodie asked for prayers for his son’s girlfriend, who is in the ICU with a failing liver. It came on suddenly and caught everyone by surprise. Please lift K. up for healing and T. for strength.

7/26 – N.L.Urker needs a job badly, and prayers are appreciated.

7/26 – Nurse Ratched asked for prayers for Ann, who had a fall recently and is in ICU. She is recovering but has a long row to hoe.
7/28 Update – Ann is out of ICU and may be discharged to a rehab facility by the weekend.
8/1 Update – Rehab is on hold until she is more stable. Her AFIB with high heart rate and significant edema have been way too stubborn, plus they found another infection. Thanks for the continued prayers!

7/26 – Timon asked for prayers. His sister’s son, age 19, was killed in a multi-vehicle accident near Louisville. He was in the Army and stationed at Fort Knox. He was heading home to celebrate his 1 year anniversary in the Army.

7/26 – Browndog requested prayers as a longtime friend of his was taken off life support after a massive heart attack last Friday. He never recovered consciousness. Unfortunately, he was vaxxed to the max.

7/26 – Zod could use some prayers as he recovers, apparently cleared of cancer.

7/28 – Bitter Clinger would like prayers for his mother, who is having breast cancer surgery today.

7/28 – Jewlls45 sends prayers of thanksgiving that their friend is doing well, after he had a heart attack while in recovery after surgery. There was 100% blockage in one of his arteries, and the medical team quickly took care of that.

7/30 – Moki asks for prayers. Her cancer surgery has been postponed for 4 months so she can go through a series of extremely invasive and even 1 dangerous test, to prove that she will wake up from anesthesia. If she refuses the tests, they refuse to perform the cancer surgery. Her cancer is renal cell carcinoma, localized to one kidney at this time.

7/30 – Nova Local found our she has the C17 deletion form of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, about 30 years earlier than people normally get it. While it’s not curable, it could be a lot worse.

7/30 – Tonypete asked for prayers for his neighbor Karen. She is in her late 80s, and fell at home recently and gashed her head and broke her hip. She has Alzheimer’s and cancer. Her cancer is under control, but will probably remain in a nursing care unit until the end. Her loving husband simply can’t care for her at home anymore. He also asked for prayers for his granddaughters: C is 8 and has a broken foot. No one knows how this happened(!?) E is 13 and completely out of control on social media. The girls have an unfit, alcoholic mother and an inattentive father. Tonypete and his wife continue to try and gain custody, but family court is not on their side. Additionally, a friend named Marsha recently discovered she has liver and pancreatic cancer, and her prognosis is poor.

8/2 – Hadrian the Seventh asked for prayers. He got the results of his heart exam, and his heart is fine, but they noticed some slight enlargement of the aorta. He has to go back for a CAT scan to find out what it looks like behind his heart, whether it’s still enlarged or not.

8/3 – Fenelon Spoke asks for prayers for healing for a congregation member named Dorian, who has a bad case of Covid. Thanks so much!

8/4 – Defenestratus asks for prayers for his young cousin, who was rushed to the hospital for another case of myocarditis. It’s his second episode since he got the vaccine (after having had Covid). He’s incredibly smart, athletic, driven, as well as humble and kind.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her. Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks or so unless we receive an update.

Romans 8:26-27
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

18 Off to the range this morning. I'm starting to recover my shooting skills, but I've definitely lost a lot of speed and I have to be very mindful about not depressing the muzzle in anticipation of the shot. Gotta hit the range before it gets too warm, and before the knuckleheads show up.

Posted by: PabloD at August 06, 2022 09:10 AM (K8n9f)

19 Sitting around this am waiting to be told how many grandkids I will have at my house today. Grandkid #9 will be born sometime today, so getting the littles out of the way and distracted is important for the family.

20 I had a bad experience with cinnamon rolls this week. Someone told to go so and so place, they got the best rolls. So I spent a stupid amount for a square of 4, and they did smell and look good, go home and I go to pull one out and they're sitting in a half inch of icing. They must have poured a half a quart over four rolls. It was horrid, uneatable.

Oh, the things I've seen at public shooting ranges... people muzzle-sweeping everyone, shooting at giant rocks at close range, people who I'm pretty sure I saw in court recently and who probably have a no weapons condition as part of their probation... the list goes on and on.

Cheryl fits that category. She had to leave stuff behind in the Brenham house that she'd just sold - it wouldn't all fit on the trucks. Her original plan was to rent 2 big box trucks (28 ft?), but she had to add a third truck at the last minute when it all wouldn't fit. This after spending most of the past year 'sorting and packing up' her stuff in anticipation of finding a house in TN.

77 There is not a single agency in this country that is not corrupt. This breakthrough American battery tech was simply handed to China

"The batteries...held enough energy to power a house, and could be used for decades. The engineers pictured people plunking them down next to their air conditioners, attaching solar panels to them, and everyone living happily ever after off the grid...The Chinese company didn't steal this technology. It was given to them — by the U.S. Department of Energy. First in 2017, as part of a sublicense, and later, in 2021, as part of a license transfer."

Someone in the comments says 2017 was probably early January under Obama, and 2021 probably after January 20, when Biden took office.

I think "collections" revolve around one's upbringing. Both of my parents were 6 when the Great Depression struck. Dad's life was in rural farm area in a broken home.
Mom's was a little better in a 2 parent family on a more prosperous farm.
They learned to save everything never knowing when you might need it again.
When I cleaned out my parents house Dad had pieces of 12"-18" Romex wire. Why Dad? Why?

105 Got this response from Publis, who writes a covid news letter for interested Horde members.

Finally, one of the readers recently asked me about Novavax, and whether that might be better or okay. No, it is not. All these vaccines induce spike protein in your body, one way or the other. Novavax just uses a different method. The Sars-Cov-2 spike protein is very toxic, in multiple ways. Most of the side effects and injuries from these damn things are due to high levels of circulating spike protein in the body. It doesn't matter when the spike comes from, it's the spike itself that is the problem. The mRNA and others may have other toxic properties, and there's some research and data on that, but the spike is the main one.

And, all of them induce immune response to only the spike, not the whole virus, and are non-sterilizing. OAS is a big problem as well.

To be honest, I have nearly completely lost trust in science and medical communities. I was never anti-vax before, but at this point, I'm not sure if I would ever have had my own kids vaccinated and I worry about possible future grandchildren.

There were doctors in my area who refused to see patients unless they were vaccinated. I share some reservations about a vaccine with a single antigen, (particularly the spike protein) for a couple reasons.

1. My impression of the spike protein is that it triggers a potent (perhaps too potent) reaction. Bad actor iif you will.
2. I think a whole killed-virus vaccine (or even better, having natural immunity after having the disease) gives a more broad based complimentary protection (cross-immunity)

We clearly are not an empire in the traditional imperial sense. We are a hegemon, i.e. a country with a lot of sway. An obvious example is the establishment of free access to the world's oceans and the maintenance of global free trade that comes from it.

After listening to many hours of "real science" on this, I still don't have full grasp ... but yeah, that spike floating around the body seems like a problem (remember they claimed it stayed localized at first). I forget what non-sterilizing means, but yeah, that too. (heh)

No vax and no Covid, but I don't get out much ... I do mix with those "smelly" WalMart people at times, to keep my natural immune system up to date.

I can attest to purging being good for the soul...after all the books in my house, I did all the school supplies, and now it's all organized (and empty pencils/broken supplies trashed), and I actually just bought what I needed this year.

He tours constantly so go see this band. The Red Rock shows are always great, the band gets fired for those (I still don't understand how they get fired up for anything since they always play at 150% but they do). I have seen him in places like Fargo SD to Red Rocks, CO and they bring it every single time. If he is playing within 500 miles of me I am in the car.

209 "Sicilian store owners"

Why I thought the ending of Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing was incredibly stupid. I grew up in a Sicilian neighborhood in The Bronx. A real pizza shop owner in Brooklyn would have beaten Spike's character to death with the baseball bat behind the counter.

And then tracked down his family.

I was saved from a home invasion in South Philly by a Good Samaritan who happened to be stopped in traffic in front of my house. He jumped out of his car, armed with baseball bat.

imo the PsyOp was the absurd response, breaking all standards and protocols. Maybe the virus itself was a sort of WMD too, but the response got them lockdowns and all sorts of controls, (conservative) small business slammed ... still ongoing with "Emergency Status" for Monkeypox.

So was pretty much everyone in the auditorium. One of the reasons I tried to catch some of Trump's rallies this year is that in places like Wyoming and Arizona he has brought on candidates like Hageman, Lake and Masters and let them speak.

I saw her give that speech live and she brought the house down. Lake and Masters were also very good. These people are not the old GOP establishment. They won't be perfect but they are lightyears better than the people they are trying to replace.

BTW, Trump is speaking at CPAC today.

237 Yeah, that's what concerns me. You can get caught up in the enthusiasm at an auction.
Posted by: Archimedes at August 06, 2022 10:43 AM (/NCI4)

I'm brand new to auctions in general and online auctions in particular. A guiding friend told me to carefully read the auction's rules, their T&C, and their payment / pickup process before making any bids. Then research the prices/value of any interesting items by comparing to Amazon / Ebay etc.

Then set your maximum bid price factoring in drive time and distance, the buyer's premium (so far 13% to 18%) and angle for about 50% of retail as a starting point. Less or much less if used, damaged returns, well worn, etc. Maybe a bit more if you really really want/need that item.

Do all this before the "Live" part of the auction happens and stick to your max bid. Write it down for reference. You may not win with your bid but you won't overpay either.

So far, that has been most excellent newbie advice.

I agree. I would only go Pro Se for very minor things like Landlord/Tenant or Small Claims (under $5g.) Much maligned attorneys are a necessary evil.

Thought never entered my mind. But since you ask, not by choice nor force.

Mr. S. and I are getting over Covid. I had it first, then he got it from me and was pretty sick, though he is now on the mend. He was vaxxed and boosted, I was unvaxxed.

Not a pleasant experience and I expect it will take our older selves a while to get back to 100%, but am glad to have the antibodies now.

No plans for the vaxxes, ever, for me.

I have had a few occasions to hire a lawyer. The last time was an estate lawyer with decades of experience in dealing with New Mexico law. It took some real leg work to find the right attorney and I am glad I did. My estate transfers to my heirs immediately, skips probate, and if someone gets sporty and wishes to challenge the estate, good luck with that. The most expensive legal bill is hiring the least qualified lawyer you can find.

Same goes for financial stuff. I have used a CPA for years to do my taxes and worth every cent I pay for his skill. If the IRS gets all sporty over the next few years knowing I have a rock solid return is the best defense against those bastards I can think of.

Joint ownership or "transfer on death" seem to help a lot, for most financial assets. In my Mom's case I think we had everything like that. (not over the amount where the state wants a cut).

There may be different kinds of joint ownership, so details might be important to avoid any probate. So even in that case, an early lawyer consult would not hurt. Farm families now are forming coops or corporations ... almost certainly need a lawyer when getting into that kind of thang.

302 If you work with public though, your boss will likely make you get tested if you develop the slightest cough.

The two coof tests I had to take were a result of my boyfriend getting the delta. I had to stay away from work for 2 weeks and pop negative before they let me back.

My test results were negative both times and I never came down with the coof

303 Back in the Before Times, I saw Springsteen's last arena show on the Born in the USA tour before they switched to all stadiums. At the Providence Civic Center it was. Large NJ contingent.

With the house lights up, half the crowd gone, and the light rigging guys come down, a genuine encore of Wooly Bully and Santa Claus (in January!).

Makes me sad.

304 It is not mRNA, more of a traditional preparation using a synthetically produced dose of spike protein with and adjuvant (immune response enhancer), given as two doses. I have some thoughts, but would be interested in other opinions. Posted by: Muldoon at August 06, 2022 09:49 AM (kXYt5)

The spike protein is looking more and more to be the toxic part of the shot. As someone pointed out, the irregularity of the reaction to the current shot has to do with the irregularity of the uptake of the mRNA and the spike protein, the higher doses creating a greater reaction. I would be interested in knowing if this new shot was more efficient in that it gets more spike proteins into the system, and if they also circulate to cause problems generally or stick in one spot and trigger immune responses.

The other problem with the mRNA is that it appears to overfocus the immune response on that particular protein, to the extent that it suppresses response to other proteins, and to mutated versions of the same virus. I would like to know if the new vaccine solves that problem.

I would also like to know if the new shot is for the current virus or the original "wild" wuhan type.

My experience with lawyers that do this type of legal work is they are absolutely essential and generally have solid ethical standards. It isn't like hiring a criminal defense, ambulance chasers, or divorce lawyer. This is technical law that requires encyclopedic knowledge of the statutes and how to transfer that into legal documents that can withstand scrutiny. That is something of a closed end, finite legal situation; it won't be cheap but so what, the alternative is unthinkable.

It may not be as bad as NPR makes it sound. Vanadium flow batteries have been worked on for decades in lots of places. People with an agenda can manipulate reporters with a dramatic story, because mist reporters don't know anything.

I wonder if NPR has any interest in other stories about the US government screwing the public and treating us like the enemy? Probably not.
