Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | "She Done Us Dirty:" Wyoming Republicans Say "Hell, No" When Asked If They'll Be Voting for Toadlike Swamp Nepotess Liz CheneyVia Twitchy. A clip of a CNN "journalist" desperately pleading with Republican to vote for Cheney, and being rebuffed at every turn, below the fold. Tristan Justice writes about the Sad! nepotess' final days in Congress at The Federalist. Liz Cheney did her usual trick of doing a quick touch-down in Wyoming -- it's the big square you pass over on the way to a San Francisco fundraiser -- and getting her picture taken there, just to prove she is still capable of locating her "home" state on the map, and then flying right back home to Washington, DC. For Cheney, the breakfast [at a rodeo fair] offered the perfect opportunity to show face without spending time with constituents left angry by the rarity of their sole congresswoman's home state presence and her politically charged work as vice chair of the Jan. 6 Committee.Justice notes that half of Wyoming's acreage is controlled by the federal government, and this is the first time in recent memory that the Congressman from Wyoming is not on the Natural Resources Committee. Kevin McCarthy has already promised to appoint Hagemann to the committee, should she win, and she should. She really should. Liz Cheney will move to the CNN, MSNBC, and Brookings Institute Opportunities for Grift Committees. Liz Cheney shows her allegiance to The Regime by, as the Establishment types do, showing her perfect contempt for the priorities of her actual voters. An NPR-Marist-PBS NewsHour poll released last week showed only 2 percent of Republicans say the Jan. 6 committee hearings are top of mind ahead of the midterm elections. And 83 percent of Republicans still have a favorable view of Trump, according to the poll. Hageman, who has repeated Trump's false claims the 2020 election was stolen, is leading Cheney by 22 points, or 52 percent to 30 percent, according to a Casper Star-Tribune poll released earlier this month. The Hobbits and Wack-a-doos are always wrong, according to the Uniparty Establishment. We tried persuading them. They ignored us. We were beneath their aristocratic notice. We tried pressuring them. They mocked us, and they defied us, and called themselves heroes for having done so. So now it's time to simply purge them. Meanwhile, while the lumpy nepotess claims that Trump was wrong for not unilaterally deploying the National Guard on January 6, in fact, he's not permitted to do so -- a position her own father agrees with, as demonstrated by his and Bush's refusal to send the National Guard to quell the 1992 LA riots unilaterally. Long estranged from the 45th president, Republican Rep. Liz Cheney...She's long estranged from a salad. ...tried recently to make hay against Donald Trump by suggesting he never ordered National Guard troops to the Capitol during the Jan. 6 riots. But her attack misconstrues Pentagon procedures and is undercut by her own father's actions as defense secretary during the 1992 Rodney King riots. Was Dick Cheney an insurrectionist too, or nah? Liz Cheney is now calling for the president to seize the Caesar-like power of directing the legions to quell any local unrest, ignoring the objections of the local governors. Remember, everyone -- we have to support NeverTrump candidates because they're the "anti-authoritarians" who will "preserve our democratic norms."

They always have to put false before Trump's election claim. Claiming something implies an opinion. Saying it is false is putting an editorial opinion on someone else's opinion.

Quick update - unfortunately her atrial fib w/ high heart rate and her significant edema have been WAY too stubborn, plus they found another infection that they’re treating w/twice daily IV antibiotics. She and her husband own a vacation property in Teton County they use as a voting address. Her parents have a property in the same village they use for a voting address as well. Teton County is the only Democratic county in the state. It's where Jackson Hole is located.
If she ever lived there f/t it was in 1977 and 1978, during the interval between her father's stint as Gerald Ford's chief of staff and the time he entered Congress. She hasn't actually lived there in the intervening years. She's spent > 3/4 of her life in metro Washington. Her sister lived in Colorado for some time, but now lives in NoVa. Her family had a nominal address there during her father's years in Congress (1979-93), but their palpable residence was in NoVa and she and her sister received their diplomas from a high school in Fairfax County. Her parents decamped to Texas in 1995, when he was tapped to run Halliburton. Her maternal uncle lives in Casper. He has a daughter who lives with her family in Cody. That's all the family she has there. Posted by: Art Deco at August 01, 2022 12:13 PM (1BrBu) 43

Remarkable how perverted the US Senate has become, in terms of representation of the various states, and the original intent for our uniquely American form of government.
Also remember Murkowski lost the Republican primary in Alaska, and the RNC (probably) airdropped pallets of cash, and she ran as a "write in" candidate, and Surprise! She "won". You know those "Press to Walk" buttons at pedestrian streetlight intersections that aren't actually connected to anything? Our politics is like that. All of the switches, dials, levers and controls that make up our representative government - none of them are connected to anything anymore. There is no effective feedback mechanism any longer. "The practice is for a president to authorize his defense secretary to deploy troops in times of crisis upon receipt of a request and then let the Pentagon order deployment once that plea for help is made"
I think it was Kash Patel, (or someone in the room when Trump gave that authorization) that implied there may have been other "national security" reasons for authorizing the troops. (other than rioters planning the fake insurrection). But he could not speak about it ... classified of course. Nevertheless, it was Pelosi and/or the mayor that instead ordered the stand down, never requested additional police support. (or maybe they were being directed by FBI to have cops and guard stand down, as they did with Antifa/BLM for months). So Cheney the witch, confuses by making her bold statement that "Trump never requested". (right, he authorized) Posted by: illiniwek at August 01, 2022 12:18 PM (Cus5s) 74

that doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for him if he's the nominee, of course. but he would be a weak nominee who would need a lot of help with a bad democrat opponent. Posted by: ace at August 01, 2022 12:14 PM (B3oWe) Trump served a purpose. That purpose is now passed. If he runs again, and gets nominated again, he will get in the way of whatever progress there is to be made. Why? Because he's Trump. And he wants revenge. Which is understandable, but the people of this country need a President who will push back against the globalists, not one to settle scores, because the people Trump would go after are NOT the source of the problem. He also had some pretty severe failures - election integrity and COVID come immediately to mind - but the real question in my mind is, "how much what he holding in reserve because he had to win re-election?" I think debate is healthy. We say that as Republicans all the time. In fact it often goes further into "Democrats are afraid of debate". Well, if we're being intellectually honest and consistent that means this "any criticism of Trump is not allowed" stance, is pure sophism. Trump is getting old. He often rambles on and repeats himself. He almost always leads with his ego. That's just fact and Most people can give numerous examples. That doesn't mean he can't win again. It just means he has some flaws that for whatever reason turn off a lot of the electorate. I'm not saying it's fair or true. I will still vote for the man if he's the candidate. But what I am saying is people should be honest about these things because it's important and an essential part of winning. I remember an interview by some US literary person published in a foreign magazine (Italian?) all about how Bush and Cheney had brought a portion of troops home from Iraq in order to have them available for Cheney to ride into DC and snatch power on behalf of Bush. I *think* it was in 2008 so the idea was that Bush was going to refuse to relinquish power, but it might have been 2004. In any case, these levels of crazy are nothing new.
Also, Liz Cheney fund raising is right-on. But I'm not sure what she was thinking. I'm "mail room" for my work and since my boss is politically involved, I pick up fund raising mailing on the regular. On the one hand my boss is (sort of) joking when he asks me if there were any subpoena's in the mail (other locals who never when anywhere near DC got subpoenaed) and at the same time here's another pious fund raising letter from Liz Cheney. When the Global Headlines come out about DeSantis partying with "underage girls", it's going to be sticky and will upset the Karens."
But here's why it's useful to pick a candidate with previous executive level experience in government; Dem's in Florida have been hating on DeSantis for 4 years now, desperate to find anything to undermine him, and failing at every turn. It's not like no one has been looking, every Democrat operative in Florida has been looking for at least 4 years. And they've come up with goose eggs. It's like all the financial investigations into Trump's business - once you know that everything has already been gone through by the IRS and NY Tax Dept's, the chance of any new investigation finding something they missed is between slim and none. Trump has the strong base support, which generates the big crowds and trucker rallies. But that is not necessarily wide support. Still, Trump has the momentum, (and money?) and seems the likely candidate.
I can't even listen to his rallies, he gives the same good talking points, and the message is right. But it is the poor choices of installing people that were against his agenda, and imo liberal Jarvanka would be right back in his ear, in a bad way. (and maybe others, he dumped his key people early on) But it is Trump for the win right now ... If DeSantis challenges and wins, fine by me. But I think DeSantis won't run if Trump does. Anyone else is going to be figuratively tailoring their presidency for four years down the road. We don't need status quo or diplomacy. We need someone to go in there and clean effing house. And if vengeance is the motivating factor...so be it. That was on a Friday. By Monday morning, Watson was suffering severe headaches and body aches, "and I had another lesion show up on my chin, and one down in my pubes at the base of my penis." So, he went to get tested for monkeypox. A day later, the results came back positive. "After I was diagnosed, I got worse, much worse," Watson said. "I was really tired. And I had clusters of lesions in the back of my throat. I couldn't eat solid food. And I ended up getting a large lesion on my uvula," the fleshy nob that hangs down at the back of the throat. "That made it hard to drink." More lesions popped up on his arms, legs, feet and cheek and, eventually, internal lesions developed in his rectum. "At first, it was a little painful to have a bowel movement. But then it progressed to the point where I was moaning and crying, even with stool softeners," Watson said. And my prostate became inflamed, making it hard to pee. Posted by: SMOD at August 01, 2022 12:46 PM (RHGPo) 281

My ONLY hesitation on voting for Trump in the primary if he runs in 2024 would be his age. I'd like him to have someone like DeSantis as his running mate to reassure me. I don't get it, but the GOP Trump-hate is real.
I think it boils down to this: Trump is a pain in the ass who says boorish, inarticulate things that many GOPers don't want to have to defend. They resent having to defend him all of the time. But they're wrong, I think, in two ways. (1) Some of these folks are the same people who just found it too unbearably icky to have to do things like disapprove of homosexuality publicly, and we can see where that's landed us in the culture wars. This group is made up of folks who thinks being genteel and civil will be rewarded, contrary to virtually all available evidence. (2) Some don't realize how far the Overton Window has shifted to the left. The media, social media, elite opinion, virtually all institutions are on the other side. But there are some who have convinced themselves that the polite, well-spoken GOPer will somehow get a fairer shake. Both really have the same flaw in common: they think it can be the 1990s again, that we are not going to have to fight tooth and nail for the foreseeable future. We've discussed this before. My concern is that Trump seems to find it very difficult to share the spotlight, and usually ends up diminishing his competition. I don't want to see that happen to DeSantis. Regarding Trump, it is still way too early to figure out what 2024 prezzie race looks like. We could be in a war, we could be in a depression, we could have inflation like Argentina, or we could be in a civil war.
For example, Churchill was unpopular with voters and polls until he was not. The reason that he became popular as he was the only major political figure that was correct when the issue of Germany came up. There are other examples from history. The hour makes the man, not vice versa. The conundrum is that college educated people (which are a minority in this country) think Trump is icky and often claim as a result that others find him icky. The blue collar and a lot of minority folks do not--they may oppose him and Republicans on policy grounds but his behavior in office does not disturb them that much. That is the same way that they rationalize supporting people like Maxine Waters, etc. Lower class voters know they are going to get shit on but as long as they get a piece of the action--they will support that pol. Most lower class voters are in fact very transactional in their voting--they vote for who they believe benefits them. Posted by: whig at August 01, 2022 01:16 PM (CXr4y) 458

To me, the biggest joker in the deck for Trump is the death rate and fertility problems from the vaxx complications seems to be accelerating throughout the world. For example, six relatively young doctors died in Canada in the same hospital after they were required to take a fourth vax shot. The spike does something very nefarious to our blood system and normally the body itself would clear it from an infection. But, the vaxx which is not a vaccine as we would define it traditionally, is causing havoc among those that would have lived even with an infection and appears to increase the risk of getting Covid infections. That is leaving off the apparent effects on global fertility. Posted by: whig at August 01, 2022 01:30 PM (CXr4y) 475

"Liz Cheney did her usual trick of doing a quick touch-down in Wyoming -- it's the big square you pass over on the way to a San Francisco fundraiser -- and getting her picture taken there, just to prove she is still capable of locating her "home" state on the map, and then flying right back home to Washington, DC."
We should at least applaud Liz Cheney for releasing large amounts of wonderful, life saving CO2 into the air by doing this trip. Posted by: Roland F Hirsch at August 01, 2022 02:33 PM (oMkPq) 482
"...Liz Cheney is too focused on Donald Trump and the January 6th committee and not paying enough attention to what they believe matters to the people here in Wyoming."
Even CNN's admission is a lie, because it makes it seem like WY citizens disregard Trump as noteworthy compared to local issues. More likely they hate her because she's attacking Trump, but CNN can't say that. Posted by: Matt_SE at August 01, 2022 09:16 PM (5u8Sm) 483
Howdy would you mind letting me know which webhost you're utilizing?
I've loaded your blog in 3 different browsers and I must say this blog loads a lot quicker then most. Can you recommend a good internet hosting provider at a fair price? Thanks a lot, I appreciate it! Posted by: games slot online 138 at August 03, 2022 08:05 AM (luhyV) 484
With havin so much content and articles do you ever
run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My website has a lot of completely unique content I've either written myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any techniques to help prevent content from being ripped off? I'd definitely appreciate it. Posted by: cfa curriculum changes site www.reddit.com at August 12, 2022 07:56 PM (zyPB/) 485
