The net? Posted by: LASue at July 22, 2022 10:10 PM (Ed8Zd) --- I think it's pretty well known in Hollywood that actors should *always* negotiate for a percentage of the GROSS revenue instead of the net revenue. DDS: a quick way to get ivermectin is to get the tubes of 1.87% horse paste at the farm store (TSC, Rural king, etc) (for quite a while, they seemed to be out of stock, but things seem to have eased up a bit)
It is dosed according to weight (marked on the plunger), so a half ton horse gets a bigger dose than a 150 pound human... it's proportional. Chase it with a spoon of yogurt, and Bob's yer uncle. And, all the other stuff above: D, C, zinc, magnesium. And read, or re-read what Ann Bernhardt has on her "ivermectin " tab at her site. It's all good. Hope they get quick relief. Pope Francis ruled out the possibility of staying in the Vatican or returning to Argentina in the event of an eventual resignation from the papacy. In an interview with Univisión and Televisa broadcast July 12, Pope Francis said he would “surely not” stay in the Vatican if one day he resigned. He wouldn’t return to Argentina either, he added, because “I am the Bishop of Rome.” He said he would be “the Bishop Emeritus of Rome.” Asked if he would reside at Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran, the Holy Father said “that could be”

Historically, an announcement that the president is ill, especially with a virus responsible for widespread death, would be taken with great seriousness, if for no other reason than it creates a political crisis. Instead, Biden’s bout with COVID-19 has been presented almost as a cause for celebration.
Typical of this trend is an op-ed in the Washington Post by Leana Wen, one of the chief minimizers of the Omicron variant who has supported all of the Biden administration’s unscientific policies. Wen writes, “President Biden’s covid-19 diagnosis is an opportunity for his administration to demonstrate the success of his leadership on the pandemic and what living with the coronavirus looks like.” She adds, “Biden should use his illness as an opportunity to inform the public that covid-19 is a manageable disease for almost everyone, so long as they use the tools available to them.” Posted by: SMOD at July 22, 2022 11:01 PM (X5CsJ) 233

That Korean guy captured by the Americans?
Let's talk about a Japanese soldier named Ueno captured in 1945 in Manchuria as the USSR attacked Japan. Him and his compatriots like those in the German army were kept after the war as slave labor. But unlike the German POWs and most of the Japanese POWs, Ueno and many other Japanese were kept by the Soviets. In 2000 Ueno was formally declared dead in Japan. In 2006 in Kiev he showed up to request help from his Japanese countryman. Turns out there was something like 400 Japanese POWs still alive in the former Soviet Union. Posted by: Alberta Oil Peon I keep hearing "public service announcements" describing, but not naming, Paxlovid for treatment of the coof. I've noticed that they don't have the long stream of possible side effects at the end of what amounts to an advertisement, I think because they don't name it. Of course the "message" is sponsored by Pfizer. Also find it ironic that they named it Paxlovid. I mean, it didn't do well in theaters but a ton of people have seen Serenity, in which the drug that wipes our fictional planet Miranda is called the PAX. I want to go back to reality. I don't think I've ever seen such a look of misery and dejection on the face of my daughter as I just did a moment ago. She just couldn't understand why Nancy Pelosi would undermine the efforts of fellow Americans. "Even my Grandpa?" she asked pitifully.
I sat down with her on the sofa and (as calmly as I could) tried to explain to her why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has rushed to judgment and besmirched the good name of every Republican, past and present. "And yes honey, even Grandpa", I was forced to say. I tried to keep my voice steady, but it became increasingly difficult - the rage and feelings of helplessness were just too much. I think my daughter could tell something was wrong. I found myself at such a loss for words - nothing made any sense; nothing makes sense anymore. I finally had to admit, "Honey, I just don't know - I don't know what's going on in this country anymore..." When I finished her lower lip started to tremble and her eyes began to fill with tears, "Daddy" she said, "why are the Democrats doing this to the country?" Well, that was it for me: I finally fell apart. She just fell into my arms and we both began sobbing for several minutes. Dick Cheney called the F-14 a jobs program, he should have called the F-18 that.
YF-17 lost to the F-16 for the USAF LWF program. Navy liked the two engines so McDonnell-Douglas revamped it and created a plane with no commonality with the YF-17. McDonnell-Douglas proceeded to knife Northrop in the back by marketing their F-18 to foreign nations thus preventing Northrop from selling their F-18L. So Northrop became a sub-contractor to the plane they originally designed. Then the F-18 Mafia pounced after the A-12 folded to create a new plane that looked like an F-18. But it shared no major components with the F-18. MDD and the Navy lied to Congress by calling it the F-18E. And the Super Bugs still can't match the F-14D in capabilities. McDonnell-Douglas thought the F-18 needed leading edge sawtooths just like found on their F-4 wings. Testing proved it was a bad idea so that went away.
The vent in each LEX on the F-18 made such a fierce vortex against the tails they were filled in. Still the tails wanted to wag from the vortexes coming off the LEXs so what looks like an antenna about halfway down each side of the fuselage instead functions to break up the vortex before reaching the tail. I've said it before, but the F-4 Phantom, just sitting on the ramp, hunkers there and looks at you like you owe it money.
Yeah, an F-15 or F-16 can zoom rings around it, but the Phantom had the most intimidating visage of all of the supersonic jets. F-22s look almost "polite" in their gracefulness, and the F-35 and Musk's e-pickup might as well share interchangeable external panels. Each is about as graceful as Rosie O'Donnell in toe-shoes and a tutu. Yep, an F-86 in a shallow dive could go supersonic. MAYBE a Canadian version with that last, final, hot-ass engine could, in level flight? I dunno. But the '86 was not, by and large, a "supersonic" jet. And I'll give Yeager his biases. If he says the '86 was the best handful of jet he enjoyed flying, well then, it was. Agree with you also, that the Typhoon series wasn't half bad. Kind of Triumph TR-6-ish lines. Some nice curves, but an abundance of hard, straight lines and muscular, hard, high shoulders. Posted by: Diogenes at July 23, 2022 12:58 AM (anj39) In the '70s & '80s, at Randolph AFB, TX (HQ of the Air Training Command), it was sometimes called the T-38 Washout. Far more difficult plane to fly well and land well, than the Cessna T-37 primary jet trainer. The T-38 flew hot, and landed hot. Meaning, fast. Many a Student Pilot could not master the "thinking ahead of the jet" aspect of this, and ended up as Navigators or non-flight rated officers, because of the Talon. The F5 Freedom Fighter was a higher performance Talon, with 20mm cannon and hardpoints on the wings. Single cockpit with a couple exceptions. And was the first look at the Leading Edge Wing Extensions later seen on the YF-17 and F/A-18. Jim Sunk New Dawn Galveston, TX Posted by: Jim at July 23, 2022 01:05 AM (tkOps) 454

Late 1990s, early '00s (forget, exactly), the USN went so far as to visit "Gate Guard" pedestal-mounted F-14s, and strip from them vital parts that the Iranians would've killed to have obtained, necessary to keep an F-14 airworthy. I mean, they went to Grumman, and cleaned out the warehouses of spare parts. Same with Davis-Monthan. ANYwhere an F-14 was to be found, they gutted it of the vitals on the checklist. The perp there pitched a conniption shit-fit when the trap sprung on, and bent the sides a bit, which caused the trap spring arm to bind a bit and it wouldn't trip. Had to fix that. Yes, and you're going to spend well upwards of $8,000, sans mounts. I'll do some digging and post the results in a day or three. You're looking for thermal imaging, with the option to reverse the black/white or white/black differention as to heat/cold. As to a pure visual wavelength range optic within that same scope?
