Pet stores. One year when my daughter was in college she shared an apartment with 3 other girls, one of whom turned out to be a loon. One day they came home from class to find this thing flying all over the living room. She had bought a sugar glider at the pet store, and aside from not wanting to get in trouble for violating the no pets policy, they were creeped out. She got rid of it, I don't know how and don't want to know.

Hell, they would be able to hire most or all of the current key Twitter tech people to get up and running fast, knowing what Twitter tech is patented and can't be exactly copied. Eradication or extreme re-education is going to be necessary sooner or later.

I remember a story from the Civil War series a lifetime ago about a confederate spy who was caught. When they went to execute him, he displayed such bravery going to meet his end that the Union officer could not bring himself to give the order. The prisoner ended up giving the order himself.

The aircraft, assigned to Airborne Command and Control Squadron 120 out of Norfolk, was downed on March 30 during routine flight operations near Wallops Island and Chincoteague, about 100 miles northeast of Norfolk, at approximately 7:30 p.m. The crash resulted in the death of a crew member.

The Navy announced Sunday that the service along with the Coast Guard, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, and Chincoteague Emergency Management Services coordinated to remove the JP-5 jet fuel from the aircraft April 2.

I had a weird realization recently. My Uncle (married to my Mom's Sister) passed, and was buried in a Vet Cemetery as he had spend 4 years in the Army in the early 60's. Part of the ceremony is for those of us who served, to salute.... out of 30 people there... I was the only Veteran. I suddenly realized out of all my family and cousins, I was the only one who served.

And even sadder, My Son is the only one of HIS generation, who served.

Still trying to come to grips with that....

Nothing but respect for those who serve, but the present military seems to have lost the plot. Time to think of alternatives for the upcoming generation. How about the redder states create their own militias (I believe it's in the Constitution) separate from the feds? Perhaps DeSantis (a veteran), who seems to be on the cutting edge of the #resistance, should consider this as his next move?

SCOTUS is irrelevant in today's world. The left has tossed the Constitution aside. They don't need nor desire it. Yet, we continue to insist it has merit and should be followed. Most of what SCOTUS does is arbitrate petty disagreements between cultural, corporate and political factions that typically has little, if anything to do with the Constitution. If it does, they usually punt.

Who's winning the culture war?

The Constitution has become as irrelevant as SCOTUS. It's not like they uphold any of the tenants written in it so why should we continue to be hamstrung by it's inherent limitations? IMO it's what has been crippling the right from engaging the left on their own terms.

Luckier here. Lil sis's hubs is a Navy vet (6 yrs). Got out, got an EE degree and worked 30+ yrs on F-4 radars for Hughes Aircraft.

Baby sis was a Navy Air Traffic Controller for couple of tours. She plays with trains now.

Dad was a Tin Can Sailor in WW II. ANGICO in Korea.

I was a plain old infantryman. No youngers are serving.

281 Andy's Hobby Headquarters now has on YouTube an unboxing of the new 1/48 Tamiya P-38J Lightning kit.

Since Tamiya kept the wing from the P-38F/G/H kits; the modeler will have a J without the under wing flaps that prevented compressability in a dive.

Still it does look very nice with all the new bits and decals for Bong, McGuire, and MacDonald. All bare metal Pacific Lightnings.
