San Francisco Votes Overwhelmingly To Eject Three Woke Hyperpartisan School Board Members

The three voted as a bloc to change the names of 44 schools -- for BLM racial solidarity reasons -- and to keep schools closed forever.

They also voted to eliminate competitive admissions at the city's elite magnet school. Because competitive admissions are racist.

They are now free to be appointed to the federal Department of Education by the moderate, centrist Joe Biden, the candidate of NeverTrump and Restoring Norms.

San Francisco residents overwhelmingly approved of a vote Tuesday to recall three of the city's school board members, election officials said.

Critics, including San Francisco Mayor London Breed, argued the members -- school board President Gabriela Lopez, Vice President Faauuga Moliga and Commissioner Alison Collins -- pushed progressive politics rather than act in the best interest of children during the pandemic, and voters agreed, according to the San Francisco Department of Elections.

"The voters of this city have delivered a clear message that the school board must focus on the essentials of delivering a well-run school system above all else," Breed said in a statement after the vote. "San Francisco is a city that believes in the value of big ideas, but those ideas must be built on the foundation of a government that does the essentials well."

...

Collins, Lopez and Moliga have consistently defended themselves as they claim their record shows they are doing what they were elected to do.

The recall was started in January 2021, after the board voted to rename 44 schools that honored Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein -- public figures the board claimed were linked to racism and sexism. The plan was subsequently criticized for historical inaccuracies and the school board ultimately dropped it.

Collins was criticized again after tweets she wrote in 2016 resurfaced, which critics argued were racist. Collins said the tweets were taken out of context, refused to remove them, then sued the district and her colleagues for $87 million. The lawsuit was dismissed.

Here's a story about this racist lunatic's tweets. Basically she claimed that Asian Americans used "white supremacist" thinking to get ahead, and were racist to blacks.

She also didn't understand why Asians talked about being beaten on the streets by blacks -- something that happens in San Francisco with grim regularity -- instead of the fantasy non-event of being attacked on the street by Donald Trump himself.

Collinstweets.png

By the way, the elite school where they ended competitive admissions? That school was majority Asian. They had to stop those Asians from using their White Supremacist thinking to excel at academics.

Board member Collins came under fire for tweets that appeared to be anti-Asian. The tweets, which dated to 2016 before her election to office, said Asian Americans used "white supremacist" thinking to get ahead and were racist toward Black students. Their emergence prompted the board to revoke her title of vice president. Collins apologized for the tweets and said they were taken out of context. She dismissed calls to resign.

Many Asian parents were already angered by the board's efforts to end merit-based admissions at the elite Lowell High School, where Asian students are the majority.

As a result, many Asian American residents were motivated to vote for the first time in a municipal election. The grassroots Chinese/API Voter Outreach Task Force, which formed in mid-December, said it registered 560 new Asian American voters.

Ann Hsu, a mother of two who helped found the task force, said many Chinese voters saw the effort to change the Lowell admissions system as a direct attack. "It is so blatantly discriminatory against Asians," she said.

In the city's Chinese community, Lowell is viewed as a path children can take to success.

"It is ingrained in the culture: If you study hard and you do well academically, it doesn't matter if you're a new immigrant, it doesn't matter if you didn't speak English when you got here," said Hsu. "If you just put in the work and you do well, you can build a new life here. When Lowell exists, it is recognition of that."

Remember, race hustlers like Allison Collins represent the "anti-racist" movement you must bow down to.

It is a bloodbath in the San Francisco school board recall.

The school shut downs and absurd effort to rename Abraham Lincoln High were about as popular as sepsis in the bluest city in America. If this isn't a wake up call to the activists pushing this stuff idk what would be.

And this is San Francisco. What's going to happen in purple counties?

Say -- didn't the Woke School Boards attempt to get rid of gifted and talented programs in Virginia, claiming they were "racist" because there were too many Asians and Indians in those programs...? And didn't Asian and Indians make up a large number of the Biden-to-Youngkin vote flippers...?

99 Yeah people think of California being San Diego weather but that's only true for the southern third or so along the coast. SF is cold, foggy, rainy and not California stereotype at all.

And hint: it doesn't look like in Shang Chi, either. That was probably their greatest CGI effort: making the city look that clean, sunny, and pleasant.

You want the real city? it literally, actually is a place with turds and needles on the sidewalks and streets, with cars TRIPLE parked out into the streets, with shabby, nasty people covered in filth and sores shambling down the middle of the road, all overcast with gray clouds or fog.

158 Not to be misunderstood. SF is a spectacular place, in terms of setting, and weather. If you like cool and foggy and amazingly scenic, it's magical. It's just that CA's a very big place (with a huge extent in terms of latitude), so climate is vastly different depending on location.

My favorite SF area climate story was a fall day up in Sonoma (wine). Sebastopol - something like 103 degrees, mid-afternoon. Drove from there to meet friends for dinner in the Richmond (western, coolish/foggy residential part of SF) - 55 degrees and foggy. Not even a 2-hour drive.

I love all kinds of weather and climate, just some in limited doses. San Diego's ridiculously perfect much of the time, when perfect = mild warm Mediterranean climate, like coastal central Italy. But variety and winter sports are weaknesses of mine, so.

Robbie, the kicker for me is...I've already taken my kids out of the shithole government indoctrination centers and have them in a private school (yet still paying for their shitholes via my taxes), but since it's in the county limits, it legally has to adhere to the county's mandate on schools. (Here it's the Board of Commissioners doing the mandating, not the actual School Board...but I'm sure once the county mandate eventually comes down, each district will suddenly find some flexibility in mandating their own).

166 101 Blacks hate Asians because they ain't white and yet do so very well. Goes against the racist narrative of whitey keeping the colored folks down.
__________

Yep, the Asians' success disproves all the bullshit "white supremacy" memes the blacks love so.

Many Asians came here as immigrants, with little or no money, and not even speaking English. They had to work their asses off, and they did. And they didn't just do as well as whites, many of them did better.

How is that possible in a society that is "systemically raaaaaacist" and run by and for the benefit of European whites? It's not possible, which is why the blacks hate the Asian achievers. They prove that America is not "systemically raaaaaacist" and that "white supremacy" is just a bullshit concept used by black assholes like Kendi and Hannah-Jones and the BLM board to grift millions of dollars off stupid, self-loathing whites.

Go Red Team. It's gonna happen, and everyone knows it. People are taking advantage.

You want to know why some small group of Republican lawmakers are suddenly proposing amnesty? Because they know that no matter what they do they're going to win. They're setting the stage so that when Republicans gain the House they can say, "We put forth amnesty and the people voted for us, that means they want amnesty." It has nothing to do with reality, but it's about taking advantage of the narrative. Same thing with fake conservatives suddenly winning in purple House districts. 204 "155 Probably a stretch with those examples. WW1 & 2 were total wars, really nothing like those before or since.

WWI and WWII were different than previous wars only because of the advanced weaponry and technology. The Napoleonic wars took place all over the world, continuously, for almost two decades with only a few months break for the "Peace of Amiens" which was little more than an armistice. It involved huge numbers of armies fighting multiple battles all across the world.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at February 16, 2022 12:32 PM (KZzsI)"

Total war is the original style of war. WW1/2 simply stood out for scale and new technology that made it easier to pursue a total campaign - and WW2 in particular was a point where normies hadn't really realized new destructive potentials.

As we say in the bay area, micro climates. You don't even really need to drive much more than half an hour for a radically different temperature. For instance, where I'm at after a hot spell the typical pattern is for the fog to suck in, so on the coast it's cold and foggy, and here, I can see the fog coming over the hills but it just cools us off. Drive 20 minutes in any direction and you're cold and damp, or absolutely baking. I kind of dig it, relief is 40 minutes away on those 100+ degree days.

The Verdict Is In: Trump Wasn't Right About China He had the wrong goals, and didn't even achieve them.

Two noteworthy points from the BS:
...trade deficits are associated with economic growth, not decline. Ah yes, the Ben Shapiro neocuck economic model. Funny how China, with a much faster growing economy than the US, manages to avoid a trade deficit.

If Trump had been halfway literate about economics, he would have seized upon the golden opportunity available at the start of his term to enhance U.S. exports and rein in China; the Transpacific Partnership Agreement...Sadly, the Democratic party has also abandoned free trade, and in deference to his left flank, President Biden has done little to reverse the protectionism of his predecessor. The way people post or read these guys and go CAN YOU BELIEVE??? Well yeah, I can. This is how they make their living, such as it is. They're dying out because like the 2000 internet boom, they managed to fool a bunch of investors for a while but it didn't pay out and advertisers now know there's not really any money in this crap.

I lived in Marin as a young teen, many college friends went to UCSF, and my office was on Townsend until ousted by Pac Bell Park. So, I spent the 70's up to 1999 in SF. I think even as late as the mid 90's SF was pretty ok. I'd walk to one of the awesome eateries for lunch, grab my container and go sit in Southpark and never get hassled, and see maybe 1 or 2 regular bums.

My last visit was 2007, I remember it well. Took the wife up on a beautiful late summer day to go to Union Square and shop. My regular parking lot was closed (we were about to find out why) so I parked further away than usual (yes, a Porsche used to be safe in a lot back then). Walking up to the square, the stench of urine was awful - this was kind of surprising given the area. And there it was - my first SF turd. When we got there - it turned out Newsom had shut down the entire square for a party. Police barricades protecting the chocolate fountains and ice sculptures. A no-go zone.

280 Festering problems plaguing California are weighing down Newsom's standing with voters, as concerns about Covid recede.
-- Homelessness and crime stand out as areas of greatest criticism -- by Mark DiCamillo, Director, Berkeley IGS Poll
https://t.co/kwiVhKEsd6

Californians are now about evenly divided in their appraisals of Newsom's overall performance as governor. The latest poll finds 48% of the state's voters approving, with 16% approving strongly and 32% approving somewhat. However, nearly as many (47%) disapprove, 31% of whom say they disapprove strongly.

At present, 36% now believe California is moving in the right direction, while 54% feel it is on the wrong track. This represents a 10-point decline in the proportion of voters who feel the state is moving in the right direction from May 2021.

It's a fringe issue that the elite want for a variety of reasons. There's a reason they keep pushing it instead of popular things like voter ID. The elite know it, but because voting still matters they have to make a show of support for amnesty, hence the games about proposing it from some Republicans on the eve of a massive red wave.

Trump's increase in totals weighed against historical totals would suggest that Biden was sub-60 million. And considering some of the local races that went weird (like RI's senate leader being ousted by a republican), I would say that Trump won some states that nobody even mentions.

My goal was to fly under the radar... but... day 5 we were down doing pushups, had to do 25. Well, seeing as how I'd been a pole vaulter for 6 years, and had just come out of Track season, I was in pretty dang good shape, so 25 push ups was a joke.

Friend of mine looked over (as he was struggling a bit) and smiled at me. DI came over and asked why the smile Boot! Buddy Fucker then said 'oh, he's a pole vaulter, he can do push ups all day'. Needless to say, the rest of bootcamp, I did a LOT of pushups, for no reason at all.

43 years later, buddy is now a member of my Town's city council... he still looks chagrined if I say 'drop and give me 50'.

I believe it was the 2006 effort at amnesty that bottomed out W's approval ratings, and then Marco Rubio completely failed to actually get amnesty passed under Obama, also failing to turn that into a successful presidential run. I think the GOPe understands the limited appeal of amnesty, having gotten really close a couple of times over the past two decades and seen their support disappear within the party.

When I went to Airborne school, it was a very small class. Only had 12 officers in it and about 200 troops. Usually they have 50 officers and 500-600 in a class.
Needless to say I was both a stick leader and a section leader. Did a ton of pushups.

394 I believe it was the 2006 effort at amnesty that bottomed out W's approval ratings, and then Marco Rubio completely failed to actually get amnesty passed under Obama, also failing to turn that into a successful presidential run. I think the GOPe understands the limited appeal of amnesty, having gotten really close a couple of times over the past two decades and seen their support disappear within the party.

It may have gone from a serious policy goal to failure theater for the donors. Maybe.

The donors, by and large, on the GOP side want cheap work visas and big agri/food processors plus the construction industry are getting big streams of refugees and illegals.

So the standoff continues--GOP will end up doing nothing and let the Dems take the flack for the downsides of Biden's invite the world policies.

Ballot initiative is the easiest because it bypasses the state leg.
But, GOP should not try to lead it.

A second possibility is to create a new California only political party that does not have the baggage of the GOP. The jungle primaries can be manipulated by using the ballot harvesting and independent party candidates to run against Dem overreach. You only have to get in the top two to make it and with a bunch of candidates, that is achievable by a third party. DFL did that stunt in Minnesota until eventually it ran the Dem party in MN.

418 James Madison -

Completely get the opinion on the next traitors to the cause. However, it is obvious that the House has been moving in our direction for a while now. New GOP blood in the House just forced McCarthy to throw out the US Chamber of Commerce. The agitation in the House caused Pelosi to not take McCarthy's GOP members, which further made masks drop, and has essentially identified the 8 or 9 GOP Senators who need to be eliminated - with only Collins really being the one you cannot do anything about.

McCarthy now has to not just mouth platitudes about conservatism, he actually has to do a few things. Oh, and Trump is really popular in his district.

It's moving. It's slow. But its moving, and not in the direction the progressives or the GOPe want it to.

But the filters are painfully obvious. I've got portrait software that can do a pretty remarkable job in removing crows feet, lines, brighten eyes etc, but the further you crank those sliders the more it affects/distorts other things. Somebody went in and blurred the living shit out of her forehead and the crows feet by hand. Pathetic.

If I was 40 or so, I'd think about sticking it out. But even if CA turns purple, they've done decades of damage. 1) elections are permanently rigged since mail-in voting is now forever, along with harvesting and registering illegals to vote. We'd have to be pretty darned magenta to even start turning this around. I have little doubt that besides the insane tax increases, they WILL kill off prop 13, and then all bets are off. Even the RINO's which would undoubtedly be the best we could do would be in favor of that. And, since the younger generations (and illegals) don't own, wringing the blood out of land owners probably sounds pretty compelling. For the children you know. All the new gun legislation by itself is a good enough reason to split.

448 California could turn purple. Somewhere close to 1 in 6 Californians is Asian or of Asian ancestry. If the Dems keep turning a blind eye to anti-Asian violence and keep trying to torpedo objective academic standards so that they can actively discriminate against Asians, it's conceivable they could jump ship. The eight or nine are the rentboys that McConnell uses to broker deals with the Dems. The others in the GOP caucus might support it but cannot do it themselves without committing electoral suicide.

Of those 8-9, Porter, Blunt, Burr, and Toomey are gone. Thune decided to run for reelection in 2022, Murkowski faces a primary in AK in 2022, and Romney's term is up in 2024. Cassidy is in office until 2026

457 Prop. 13 is literally saving my neck. It is the last thing keeping me here.

And as someone with a lot of retired neighbors who pay much less in property taxes but create a nice, stable neighborhood, I would hate to see it repealed.

458 WWI and WWII were different than previous wars only because of the advanced weaponry and technology. The Napoleonic wars took place all over the world, continuously, for almost two decades with only a few months break for the "Peace of Amiens" which was little more than an armistice. It involved huge numbers of armies fighting multiple battles all across the world.

WWI was the first time that civilians became targets, instead of just collateral damage.

460 428 The CEO of Google-owned YouTube, Susan Wojcicki, recently urged world governments to pass stronger speech laws to restrict speech online deemed "harmful." Her ominous message is that the path to "more control over online speech" is to pass laws that ignore the First Amendment.

Stupid virtue signalling is bad enough when a corporation is relatively popular--it is rather stupid when essentially Google's best years as a corporation are most likely behind them. Youtube is essentially a loss leader for datamining for AdSense.

AOP, that was the norm more or less in history and it was only in the 19th century that Western nations decided to be more civilized.

462 at least Brave New World believed in some sort of merit system, albeit in a subcontinental approved caste system. The school board wanted a lottery to determine who gets into which magic classroom? Why not randomly assign grades too?

463 Send them back as mentally ill. Once the word gets around, that stuff will disappear.

It won't disappear. White women being killed by blacks and other minorities doesn't seem to get much of a rise out of the population.

I often why those fathers aren't dead set on getting revenge for their daughter's.

465 Say -- didn't the Woke School Boards attempt to get rid of gifted and talented programs in Virginia, claiming they were "racist" because there were too many Asians and Indians in those programs...? And didn't Asian and Indians make up a large number of the Biden-to-Youngkin vote flippers...?

you know what this means? Well, what it meant...more Texas Bridge Dwelllers. TFW you import a new voter class and they still vote the wrong way bc their IQ's are slightly north of room temperature.

466 it's amazing to see fash canada's TL now. So, of course, BLM can do whatever. Mooselini can support truck protests in India but now they're going to starve and excommunicate truckers in Canada.

I guess you missed the story about a girl who had moved to a private school months before. She got an A from the public school in a class she had not attended.

So, why be stingy when you can just be like Oprah--everybody gets an A.

468 >> 442 Prop 13 is retarded and needs to go away.

Without Prop 13, every retiree would have to leave California.
We have Federal Taxes, State taxes, sales tax, and gas taxes, but you want people like me who have owned a house for many years to pay 10x more in Property taxes because you chose to rent or arrived to the state recently.

Fuck off.

471 "The three voted as a bloc to change the names of 44 schools -- for BLM racial solidarity reasons"
No, they did it for Cloward-Pliven reasons. They did it to destroy all history and trust in the past except through the approved sources.

Any 'racial solidarity' centered around "Lincoln didn't save the blacks from slavery" is not actually about racism at all. It's about destroying the system so they can build their little 'utopia' in its place.

474 California is a lost cause despite this anomaly.

I grew up in Southern California in the 60's and 70's and my brother and his family still lives in the Bay area. I left in the early 80's and have never looked back. One of the best decisions I ever made.

California is a one party (Democrat/Far left progressive) state and is becoming Venezuela (almost there). Sane people and businesses have been moving out in record numbers for years. Just look at the U-Haul rates to/from California if anyone has any doubt.

It's a shame because I had a great childhood growing up in one of the best places to live (back then) and to see it turn literally into a third world country is heartbreaking.

Go and look at the current LA and SF homeless "communities", research the anti-business climate (except for our Tech overlords and Green weenies), the US' largest welfare and medicaid state, the US' largest illegal population sucking taxpayer benefits just to mention a few and any sane person can see that my once beloved home is completely dysfunctional and unsustainable.

I have no sympathy for the SF parents. They voted for it initially and deserve it gooder and harder.
