Yeah--its a problem, in that I'm sure the founders never imagined that the press would protect themselves from liability, and then consolidate under a handful of people, and then try to install fascism. These are good days for the NYPost. They have a video up of Andrew Cuomo's arrogance and defiance during a deposition about his sexual harassments. The lawyer questioning him asked if he ever kissed a man on the lips. Many of us remember Andy sporting nipple rings after his divorce and he struck out in new directions. After evasion after evasion, the former government admitted he may bussed another male at some point. Maybe it was the kiss of death like Fredo--the original one--got in the "The Godfather."

Harder to raise your profile for the NFL Posted by: artemis at November 30, 2021 07:36 PM (AwPyG) A few of the old powerhouse colleges in many leagues have had trouble adjusting to the fact that athletes can go anywhere and want to play rather than sit on the bench. USC and UCLA have both been out of it for nearly 20 years, Michigan has had a hard road for about a decade until this year - unless they choke in the Big 10 champ game. The people who introduced it have been sacked. The people who didn't report this to me have been sacked. I am going to strip CRT out root and branch and kill it with fire. Not that the left intentionally infiltrates these organizations but that their innate boldness allows them to takeover after enough time. ------- Not intentional at first. Some just get promoted to authority, whether by dint of their own non-political merits, or family/political connections that benefit the enterprise. But their loyalty to ideology is paramount. They very intentionally abuse their power to promote their own ideological fellow travelers without regard to individual merit, or the enterprise's benefit. Once they get control of the upper ranks, this begins rapidly radiating down and out through the organization. Total institutional capture is achieved. Then you find yourself in a real weird place, where your charity is suddenly hurling racial denunciations at donors on the street. "A few of the old powerhouse colleges in many leagues have had trouble adjusting to the fact that athletes can go anywhere and want to play rather than sit on the bench. USC and UCLA have both been out of it for nearly 20 years, Michigan has had a hard road for about a decade until this year - unless they choke in the Big 10 champ game. I don't know that this hire will change that reality for USC, who have been outdone by Oregon and Utah the PAC 12 itself. But College football seems determined to eat itself alive in public rather than build a stable system. Posted by: Oldcat at November 30, 2021 07:41 PM (eoQWY)"
The NCAA is preparing to let the Big Football Schools set the rules for the Big Football Schools. The Big Schools could decide to increase scholarships to grab some talent that is now going to minor Div I schools. The Big Schools could also let players transfer from a minor Div1 or Div2 school to a Big School after one or two years, without losing a year of eligibility. That's Proven Talent to go after, not high school kids that may not pan out. Or the Big Schools could adopt any other scheme they believe will let them acquire better talent than other Big Schools. By openly discussing these issues, we always hope to encourage the development of a more thoughtful organization that is better positioned to support those in need. But no one is being told how to think. Period" So: 1. "We're smarter than you! We can handle complex topics" 2. Let a thousand flowers bloom. The idea that an employee being fed the CRT BS could say anything other than "Awesome, hit me again" is not credible. Unlike you, I am pissed off. Posted by: CNN at November 30, 2021 08:02 PM (AMIL/) A lot of that is already happening, but it works both ways. A guy can transfer out of a big school for a place where he can actually play. The NFL scouts more than just the major schools. Some teams have continued to dominate, but a good fraction of the old dominant schools have fallen back - USC, UCLA, Nebraska, Michigan, Texas, even ND to some extent. The consolidation might not work out as well as they think if fans don't get excited for a championship team with three or four losses. Posted by: Oldcat at November 30, 2021 08:09 PM (eoQWY) 294

1. Forgiveness has to do with the past. Forgiveness is not holding something someone has done against you. It is letting it go. It only takes one to offer forgiveness.
2. Reconciliation has to do with the present. It occurs when the other person apologizes and accepts forgiveness. It takes two to reconcile. 3. Trust has to do with the future. It deals with both what you will risk happening again and what you will open yourself up to. A person must show through his actions that he is trustworthy before you trust him again. We have done our best to provide accurate information, but unfortunately, some have chosen to ignore those efforts. At the same time, International Headquarters realized that certain aspects of the guide may need to be clarified. They didn't realize the error of their ways. 120 i thought fugazi meant "fake" but that link says it means "broken beyond repair."
Is there a similar word that means fake? Posted by: ace at November 30, 2021 07:36 PM (0G13K) Fauci Posted by: Flyover at November 30, 2021 08:22 PM (Rbu5d) 345
She's saying Woodrow fucking Wilson and FDR were "right wing" Democrats (who would've later "switched" to the Republican party. That's what she's claiming.
Posted by: Soothsayer -- at November 30, 2021 08:20 PM (cDvaN) Old Woodie was a Uni Professor and President. Right wing my ass. Racist as hell, purged blacks from Government jobs, and helped screw up Europe with his meddling to accelerate WWII. Posted by: Oldcat at November 30, 2021 08:22 PM (eoQWY) 346
@321
Not to mention "right wing twitter" was purged in the days just before 1/6, by the left wing fascists. All very ironic Posted by: artemis at November 30, 2021 08:23 PM (AwPyG) 347

My Dad hated the Red Cross, as did most WWII vets as I recall. I guess they learned their lesson in one regard, the "Doughnut Dollys" didn't charge us for doughnuts when the one time they stopped by. To be fair were a long way from civilization. Posted by: Javems at November 30, 2021 08:26 PM (AmoqO) 348
They still have a chance, if they fire everyone involved and loudly declare that CRT, etc, is incompatible with Christianity, but I don't see them doing it.
Posted by: Chuck C at November 30, 2021 08:17 PM (EughT) That's all it would take. But apparently they've grown too big. Like a government bureaucracy. Their only goal is to live and grow. Their original mission statement lost in the haze. And like a good lefty, they need to preach it, and convert us all. Same idea, wrong ideology. Helping nobody but making themselves feel a lot better. You did good by your Grandfather, and he'd be on board with telling them to take a hike. It's not your Grandfather's Salvation Army any longer. I'm seeing a lot of comments here that say the same thing about the Red Cross vs. Salvation Army during WWII. My dad hated the Red Cross because they'd charge for coffee, donuts, etc., while the SA did not. Interesting that there's so many with the same story.
