Reminds me that I have to find a place to hang one of my dad's winterscapes. He did it on a board, a very heavy one, and the walls in my tiny house can't take a big landscape. It is attractive, so I want to keep it, but no place to hang.
Winter does not look bleak for people with bad eyesight. Snow is fresh and white; trees are a soft brown; and landscape or architecture is softened by the white blanket. I don't usually care for Gauguin's Tahitian paintings but his earlier works are more interesting. The colors are less garish and the shapes are less exaggerated. This painting certainly expresses the cold and depth of winter in a rural area with it's clean snow and drifts against the buildings and fence. Not sure I want the reminder at the moment but it is appropriate.

I'm told in the country people would sometimes have to exit their 2nd story windows to get out of their homes. Never did that in the city but I guess it was a combination of severe snows and drifting that would get the 15-20' heights. This occurred as recently as the 70s.

Posted by: vmom WWRS What Would Rush Say at February 19, 2021 ++++ That depends. In Denver, we have a couple of local chains that are quite good. Not as good as the small family-run joints, but good. I agree. The only alternative I can think of to the "seems much worse than it really is" idea, is that it has long term consequences that are being hidden. In early covid days it was said that having had the disease would bar someone from ever entering the military. This makes no sense unless it was more consequential, rather than less. teachers are not being forced to get the vaccine....but, if you don't get the vaccine and someone in your class exposed you to the chinese flu, you have to quarantine using your sick time..... my daughter is a young 2nd yr teacher and while she doesn't want to get the vaccine, she has zero sick time accrued and can't afford to be out for 7 or 14 days....so that is how teachers are being forced to get the vaccine.

They are using a new means of inoculation.
They don't use a dead or weak strain of the virus that the inoculation is for. They manufacture an rna code for the body to create the virus within itself. A LIVE virus. It does make the body create the immune reaction but there are potential deadly side effects that no one can know whether they will show up or not. There's also the code that's used is close to another that has to do with fertility. It's possible for the rna messenger carrier to trigger that code and cause a female taking the injection to become infertile. There are other problems too. A lot of people in Africa have died due to experimental injections for disease. Posted by: jakee308.com at February 19, 2021 11:14 AM (LyEz9) 498
