Paul Sperry: New Evidence Suggests That Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page Might Have Been Complicit In Kevin Clinesmith's Criminal Forgery of Documents to Frame Carter Page

Of course, none of this means anything any longer.

For the past year, defenders of the FBI have consistently downplayed the significance of an FBI staff lawyer falsifying evidence in the government's investigation into Donald Trump's relationship with Russia. They argue Kevin Clinesmith's crime of altering a CIA document to obscure the fact that former Trump campaign aide Carter Page worked for U.S., not Russian, intelligence was a rare lapse in judgment by an overworked bureaucrat. It was not, his apologists say, part of any broader conspiracy to conceal exculpatory information from surveillance court judges, who never learned of Page's history with the CIA before approving FBI warrants to wiretap him as a suspected Russian agent.

But such explanations are challenged by new revelations from court papers filed in the case, which some civil libertarians call the most egregious violation and abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) since it was enacted more than 40 years ago.

...

The court filings reveal, among other things, that Clinesmith knew much earlier than has been reported about Page's cooperation with the U.S. government, and was not alone in knowing that he had provided information on the Russians to the CIA -- or in covering up that knowledge.

Several officials within his tightly compartmentalized chain-of-command -- including former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe, his counselor Lisa Page and counterintelligence chief Peter Strzok -- learned of Page's role with the CIA before they first sought to wiretap him during the 2016 presidential campaign. The CIA had confirmed his role two months earlier in an August 2016 memo it sent to the FBI. And Page's status as a CIA contact had been documented in the FBI's own electronic files going back to 2009.

Yet they all withheld this critical information attesting to Page's loyalty from the spy court.

...

Former FBI officials say it's unlikely Clinesmith would have operated on his own without higher-ups knowing about his June 2017 misrepresentations about Page's prior work for the CIA.

81 We were waiting for the "system" to punish the 2016/17 coup attempt, expecting the punishment to be criminal charges / prison time.

The system's punishment for DOJ offenders that it can't cover up for is termination. And, if you are terminated doing things your "beach friends" approve of (like trying to overthrow a Republican administration), you'll have a soft landing, book deals, speaking tours, media appearances, etc.

The system is working as intended.

The next GOP administration should bring back the spoils system. Fire all the civil servants and fill the positions with political apparatchiks. It would mean little difference for Democrats, but be a huge difference for GOP administrations.

Who sent them? What did they say?

I rallied round the flag at 9/11. The elite undermined the troops, squandered the victories, used it to remove civil rights for non-terrorists, and concealed any further terrorist acts in the press.

The courts were not friendly to any of it. It doesn't matter when you can't get a word in edgewise. No evidence was heard. No cases were allowed.

He may've been right, and likely should've been, but the deep state is deeper than anyone imagined and we are where we are.

He was right about his facts. So were a *lot* of people, including some big names who put in a lot of work on it like Dan Bongino and John Solomon. The facts are not in question, I don't think. Spygate happened. The Dems and the State ran a long-term op against the president dating back to his candidacy and likely were running the same playbook against countless others. It was and is corrupt as hell and there are reams of evidence out there in public that anyone who cares to can see.

Where he was wrong (and where I think the contentiousness came in) is that he firmly believed in American justice and that the system would eventually deliver results and punish the criminal conspirators. Many don't believe that (me among them). I think that conflict - not on the facts, but on the outcome - was the bone of contention.

That means that the Margin of Fraud doesn't matter. If you're willing to cross the point of no return and nullify representative government in this country (they were) and then get away with it through capture of the entire government (they did), then the Margin of Fraud ceases to matter as anything more than an interesting theoretical exercise.

They do, but it won't end there with the evaporation of affluence. I have come to believe (there's some vague evidence for this, but it is mostly a gut-check on my part) that ending affluence is merely a first step and that the *real* goal is that 90% of people die and go away. They want themselves (the rulers, fat and happy and rich courtesy of their robotic automation and production) and a small servile class that waits on them. I was thinking the same thing. How long can a state of emergency exist before it's just everyday business? There have been judges in Michigan and New Mexico, I think, who have said the "emergency" has already gone on too long or the powers claimed as emergency powers can't be sustained. I think te only reason they've been able to keep it going this long is fear. The emergency lasts as long as the people are afraid of the virus.

I've come to the conclusion that President Trump made a big mistake firing Steve Bannon. It tells me he was being advised by very bad people who wanted influences like Bannon gone. It also tells me Steve Bannon was warning the president but wasn't being taken seriously.

Seb Gorka was another bad firing. Fake general john kelly was responsible for Gorka being cut loose. Again, bad people didn't want the president to hear what Gorka had to say.

Waco, Ruby Ridge, and Benghazi weren't proof of deep gov't wide corruption. They're proof of individual Federal LEO agency corruption as well as White House leadership being terrible.

Lois Lerner keeping her job despite being a disaster everywhere she was sent is only proof the appointment process can be terrible.

The Patriot Act is proof that elected officials in the US are terrible.

551 [ii]Part of why I am not particularly down on Jack despite thinking he was wrong all along, is that many of his most vocal critics seem convinced that their own cynicism is some kind of irrefutable evidence.

This bugged me too. Reflexive cynicism is an incredibly easy and satisfying pose, but it's not wisdom. In this case, the cynicism was warranted, but hardcore cynics don't usually build much in their lives.
Posted by: bonhomme at January 26, 2021 03:32 PM (UW2ZS)

And some of JackStraw's critics seemed to have the attitude that JackStraw was himself personally responsible for nothing happening. That level of animosity towards an optimistic (but unrealistic ) guy who was just commenting on news and court docs he'd read, is hard to understand

It uses microG as a substitute for Gulag Play Services. F-droid and Aurora Store serve as PlayStore substitutes. I'm not a heavy app user in any case, but I've been able to find substitutes for everything except (of course) FaceTime (which is Apple specific).

All are pretty good for the country, esp. if the perjury is followed up by MAGA prosecution.
