Kayleigh McEnany Responds to FoxNews Leftist Chris Wallace: The Press May Be Criticized Like Any Other Profit-Oriented Buck-Chasing Industry

She might have added: Despite your furious demands to be recognized as such, You are not an elite aristocracy with greater rights than mere citizens.

No, I never questioned the religious beliefs of the press,” McEnany insisted, adding, “Many of our journalists are great men and women of faith.”

“What I was saying was, I was asked 11 questions as to why churches would be allowed to reopen. It was a bit peculiar to be asked these 11 questions in a row. And for the onus and the focus solely to be on why churches are essential, I’ve never been asked why liquor stores was essential," she continued. "So I was merely pointing that out. And to the point about questioning the journalists and asking why they’re asking certain questions, I field hundreds of questions a day. Journalists are not above being questioned themselves. Journalism is a great and noble profession, but there’s been a dearth of journalists asking the real questions for President Obama, the criminal leak of Michael Flynn's identity, who leaked that identity, the dossier which was used to launch a three-year investigation into this president and spy on his campaign. Why aren’t those questions being asked? It’s journalistic malpractice not to ask those questions and I can count on one hand the journalists who are like Maria Bartiromo and Catherine Herridge, but where is the lack of curiosity from the current press corps? There's extreme lack of curiosity at play."

Conservatives always shy away from criticizing FoxNews when they round up media refusals to cover stories -- but FoxNews' leftist Chris Wallace refused to cover Tara Reade, just the same as CNN and MSNBC did.

And FoxNews' leftist Chris Wallace has the same "lack of curiousity at play" about Obama's crimes and his coup.

And even worse: Chris Wallace is not just a "journalist." He is an important part of the "Brain Room" of leftwing gatekeepers at FoxNews deciding what other journalists are allowed to cover, and even which journalists should be suspended for how long if they dare to cover a non-approved story.

And as I keep saying: When FoxNews journalists "take an unplanned holiday" after the left tries to cancel them and Chris Wallace and his Brain Room join in on the cancellation -- it is a corporate-mandated lie these people are forced to repeat.

They are instructed to lie or at least not disturb the "taking an unplannned holiday" story. Or they'll be fired.

But they have been suspended. Everytime you thought a conservative on Fox was suspended for violating a Leftwing Rule, yes, he was in fact suspended.

The cowardly liberals of the Brain Room and c-suite at Fox demand these people lie about being suspended because they don't want to be questioned about or criticized for their coercive efforts to impose a liberal speech code at FoxNews.

They don't think you Rubes will understand how important it is for them to protect you from information that violates liberal rules, so they threaten to fire people unless they help them hide their actions from the public.

Oh -- and of course, they don't want Fox's conservative audience figuring out that the organization is liberal from the top executive down to lowly assistant producers, with the exception of its nighttime opinion hosts and their key personnel.

So employees are ordered to lie about FoxNews' leftwing speech codes.

37 No, I never questioned the religious beliefs of the press," McEnany insisted, adding, "Many of our journalists are great men and women of faith."

And to be honest, I actually believed that reporter when he said he was religious and wanted to get back to going to church. That didn't seem like acting. It was an honest reaction.

What I would have liked Kayleigh to have asked him was "Then I would ask myself: what made you ask that same question over and over. What was your motivation in asking it several times? To what purpose?"

The answer, which he would never admit to, is the acceptance of his peers.

This is something, absurdly and incredibly, that we've NEVER done before. But it's so necessary, and so easy, and furthermore, exactly what the American people (at least OUR American people) want and need to see and hear. It's time we started making it personal, but in our case with good and just cause. Call out the individual journalists. Personalize and polarize. Target, expose, shame, humiliate. Double down. Triple down.

210 Fox and others that hide the punishment they mete out for going off narrative show what is called "Consciousness of guilt". They KNOW they're censoring the reporter and they KNOW that's not what journalists and news organizations are supposed to do and that they are allowed a special place in the constitution by name for that reason.

And they KNOW they no longer deserve that special place.

Thus they hide their corporate manipulation/censorship/propaganda.

And yes because then people might finally realize who is actually running the DNC as Ace said. I long wondered how much they enjoyed some of their previous attempts and successes at manipulating the news to the detriment of certain people. And whether they allowed that power to go to there head.

And it's obvious that it has. They do have a willing participant in all this and it was warned about when this organization was formed. The CIA (or any intelligence gathering org) has a special power of manipulation because they are charged with manipulating other country's perception and soon they realize it's pretty easy to manipulate their own.

Most of the past Russian leaders (as is Putin) came from the Spy Agencies. We've had a few known ourselves. But what a lot of those folks really like is to be the power behind the throne so that no one knows who they are and what they do.

Oh and BTW, the spy agencies all have huge budgets and a lot of black money that isn't well accounted for and this can warp the direction of a person in charge or the agency itself. All that money for their own use and it's tempting I'm sure to try and enlarge that pot by manipulating the markets with news and leaks.

The question isn't whether it goes on. The question is can we continue with it the way it is and what if anything can be done about it.

Here is my theory, prove me wrong.

The dems want to keep blacks poor and under their thumb because they are the perfect poster child for whatever progressive program they want to push.

(by "poster child", I mean it in the original sense of sufferer who elicits sympathy and helps to make people think emotionally and not logically because,.... just look at their face!)

They can't use poor, or drug addicts, or immigrants because they have a certain amount of responsibility for their position. Children are not ideal because they have parents. (Orphans were a godsend, but sadly they are hard to find nowadays.) Physical and mentally disabled work, but only in limited cases. Gays and trans don't work as victims because they are too damn weird, and if they didn't act so weird and freaky no one would bother them. Women work as victims in a pinch, but 1/2 the population are women and so they know better, and the other half know women and know that many are not victims and for those that are it is mostly not society's fault, but the fault of the men in their lives.

But blacks -- They are ideal. They are discriminated against, they were brought to the country without their consent (or their ancestors were.) They are the perfect victim.

So, you want mail in voting to facilitate voter fraud?
Trot out the images of the 90yo black woman who is too crippled with arthritis from scrubbing floors and can't get to the polls!

You want more money for teachers union? Trot out the statistics on inner city schools

You want abortion on demand? Trot out the numbers on poor rural and urban communities and how their lives would be "ruined" with a child.

Anything you want, you can use blacks as the victim and that is priceless to the dems.

That's Church of England, and the Episcopalian Church is the American Branch, separated at the time of the Revolution. A couple years ago they were spending a majority of their yearly budget suing their own churches, because some wanted to break away.

I have some very good Episcopal friends, and from that i know there are many honest and faithful Episcopalians and I do not want to rag on them too much. But still, an old southern joke has always rung true: What do you call a Baptist who comes into a million dollars? An Episcopalian. It's always been THE Church of the Wealthy and the Privileged, and it has always reflected the values of the Wealthy and Privileged class. David French is a perfect example of a modern Episcopal pharisee, contemptuous of every other Christian who isn't as high on the Social Ladder as he perceives himself to be.

I like the idea that it's a small front in the counter-Russian collusion war.

Joe played a large part in pushing the collusion narrative, and Trump is putting similar pressure on Joe as Joe tried to put on Trump.

It won't be worth a footnote in the history books, but it's putting his enemy on the defensive.

257 I'm probably wrong, but it's always seemed to me that Catholics are the most grounded Christians in America, at least these days.

Wonder what it is about their church that makes it so, or at least seem so to me. Maybe that their church is full of everyone from the poorest to the wealthiest.

275 Speaking of journalism, yesterday I was told some juicy gossip about on of our local reporters and newsroom, and it confirms everything you might imagine.

Because the gossip was told with the promise of keeping it secret, I can't reveal actual names of people or publications, but most of them you wouldn't know anyway, so I'll just keep it nameless.

Basically:

There a local news media publication, and little by little it has been getting woker and woker in its daily coverage of all issues. However, they have one reporter on staff that everyone praises as the star of the whole publication -- reports on issues that people actually care actual (instead of leftist-narrative garbage stories all their other reporters do), and is actually incisive, unbiased, fast and interactive -- responds to all questions in the comment section, frequently updates all stories, etc. And she has now won two journalism prizes for her writing (in her category).

But all around her, the whole publication is just becoming a steaming garbage heap of hyper-woke SJW fake news. Commenters frequently say, "Keep the good reporter and fire everyone else! She's the only thing that gives this publication any credibility!"

Well, turns out that she is a friend of my friend's husband (also in journalism), and a few days ago she went on a long rant in a private conversation with him (later repeated to his wife, who then told me in confidence) that she feels "totally out of place" at the publication now and that the new young SJW hires are furiously trying to push her out the door, for not toeing the leftist line. No one speaks to her in the office any more, the editors act dismissive toward her, and also the site moderators will inexplicably delete positive/complimentary comments she gets, but leave online all the insults and slander directed at her.

She's thinking of leaving because the situation is becoming intolerable, but there are no other journalism jobs to go to, so she doesn't know what to do any more.

I bet this exactly situation is happening and has been happening for years in newsrooms all over the country. There isn't a heads-on-spikes communist revolution, but instead a constant drip drip drip of leftist attitudes creeping in and becoming dominant, until you are "otherized" for not being part of that hive mind, until all the last high-quality old-timers just quit or retire in disgust, and the takeover is complete.

That was true, once upon a time.

I'm an Episcopalian. The Church is in a bit of a pickle. It's been shrinking for a while. The embrace of gay clergy chased away a whole lot of parishioners and a lot of money though that wasn't a factor for me UNTIL it became a controlling element in the Church.

Our own priest is loony-left and I'm not sure why I still bother. Family has gone off to another Protestant church, reasons related more to social connections than liturgy or politics. I will probably be out in a year.

He is a disruptive force, the anti-W Bush.
His jarring communication style is breaking through the MSM total message control precisely because it is to unpredictable and different from any other politician we've ever seen.

You have to take the bad with the good that comes with that. The guy who is willing to mock Mika's facelift (cringe) is also the guy who captures the attention of most of the country's LIVs (who may love him or hate him). He gets through, and he is destroying, the tiny bit of space the Democrats/MSM had carved out for "polite conversation" of political issues. He does this by refusing to submit to their approved words and ideas on the most important issues, including immigration, trade deals, freedom of religion, and so on. He fights back, which is not pretty.

Another W or Romney, polite and polished, would not get Trump's results. Hell, they wouldn't want Trump's results.

Fox News is a curious case. Their product is shit. It has always been shit. Even in context of the rest of our execrable cable news media, it's of noticeably lower quality.

Their people are so low-grade, that I'm surprised they can finish complete sentences between Crossfit sessions and appointments with the hair stylist. It's like the cable news version of Balls' Models from Zoolander.

But they've been #1 for quite awhile, on the strength of precisely one strategy: being the only right-of-center news outlet in the United States.

Rupert Murdoch rightly perceived that he could serve up the very thinnest of gruel - an thoughtless, cheap, trashy product - and make a gazillion dollars by serving a yuuuuge and utterly ignored mass-market.

And they are knifing that golden goose right in the neck. It's bewildering.

373 257 I'm probably wrong, but it's always seemed to me that Catholics are the most grounded Christians in America, at least these days.

Wonder what it is about their church that makes it so, or at least seem so to me. Maybe that their church is full of everyone from the poorest to the wealthiest.
Posted by: qdpsteve at May 27, 2020 03:45 PM (L2ZTs)

The other group that I would say is the most grounded - and you will be surprised, because you probably don't know many, and they are spread among churches (but concentrated in some) are the true Evangelicals, especially away from the large cities. Since they are always maligned in the press, those who don't see them would never know that they are very multi-racial and always focused on their faith, above all else. I have friends who are devout Pentecostals, and they are not surprised by anything that is going on now; they have always expected Government and the Society at large to despise them and work to try to control them against their wishes.

When you can get away from those who've sold out to Today's Culture, you find a quiet but very firm American resistance to being told what to do by anyone else. To be a true Evangelical today means that you must reject today's culture.

It really didn't help that they made Hillary part of their marketing campaign and the I'mWithHer hashtag.

They intentionally made it political and then got prissy when people treated it like a ball in the political arena.

Also, Paul Feig's brand of comedy is flabby and unfunny. It's let actors riff for an hour and then pull out five seconds to fill a scene with. The humor is disconnected from plot and character in ways that comedic special effects movies shouldn't be. Those need to be tight.

Posted by: zombie at May 27, 2020 03:27 PM (N9G0H)

The main difference between media today and earlier times is the consolidation and monopolization. Once upon a time you had scurrilous X-Party rag vs. scurrilous Y-Party rag. Even small towns would often have several newspapers or at least broadsheets.

Now Big Media has sucked up and everything* under its left wing, aided by Big Academia and its change-the-world schools of journalism.

(* AM radio is the sole exception. There you still get many viewpoints, from NPR to Rush, from the Al Sharptons to the George Noorys.)

NO idea how many that might be but its not exactly helping Trump every time he tweets. --

It's amazing (and scary) what moves the needle for people to vote or not vote for someone. How hard is it to ask yourself what's important to you about the direction of the country, and vote for the person most likely to bring that about? And in doing so, be able to easily set aside that which doesn't matter (like tweets)? I don't care what Trump's personality is like. I care what he does because that's what will directly affect me. This isn't hard stuff here.

It's herd mentality. People have been told over and over - in a deliberate marketing/brainwashing campaign - that Trump Tweets are inherently evil.

I know people that are solid Trump voters, who will never EVER vote for a Democrat no matter what - who have told me they just "wish he would stop tweeting". It's been an effective campaign against Trump's strongest weapon.

607 Musk doesn't make, design, create, or innnovate. He doesn't do anything whatsoever except tell them to make stuff he thinks is cool and raise money. He is not genius master of technology. He doesn't even come up with the ideas for this stuff.

608 "Journalism is a great and noble profession."

I disagree with her right there.

Maybe journalism was a great and noble profession. But the impostors now wearing its carcass as a skin-suit are neither great nor noble, but instead cretinous parasites who long ago used up whatever gravitas earlier generations of real journalists ever accumulated.
Posted by: zombie at May 27, 2020 03:23 PM (N9G0H)

Journalism was never a great and noble profession.

Reporters and reporting might have been great at their time, but when they coined the term Journalism the rot was already deep and all but complete.

There is a lot of historical support to the idea that at least for some men, duelling was a huge buzz and addictive. That once you did it, survived, and beat someone, it was like a high that you chased after again and again. Some men went out scores of times against people for the slimmest of pretexts.

626 A note about the SpaceX launch suits being cooler, sleeker, and neater than the clunky NASA Space Shuttle orange launch suits:

The requirements are different. Space Shuttle required suits that were good for bale-outs, visibility in the ocean from a search plane, and a few other things. SpaceX crew cannot bale-out, and that means the suits can be different. To save money, NASA used an existing suit that met all the requirements: the suits used by SR-71 crew.

NASA did use a much neater, cooler-looking suit, sort of a coverall/jumpsuit, for missions between STS-5 and STS-51L (Challenger destruction). Because there was no way to bale-out of the Shuttle on those missions (the first 4 missions had ejections seats for the crew and used the SR-71 suits). NASA added a crew bale-out capability for all missions after Challenger, and went back to the clunky orange SR-71 suits.

630 If people are not going to vote for Trump simply based on his tweets. that's shallow of them. Do they want to live under a Soviet Style government simply because Biden doesn't send out brash tweets?

639 Eh, I'll give him some credit for this. I am not a huge Musk fan, but he started the company and has guided it well. He doesn't try to micromanage and intervene in design and production, though, like he does with Tesla - almost certainly to SpaceX's incalculable benefit.

I worked for the dude a long time ago.

We finally bought a Tesla last December.

My line on him was always that he was brilliant, but not as brilliant as he thought he was. There's no question he's had a huge impact on the industry of this country. Every and I mean EVERY automaker has a huge asterisk on its product plans 'except for Tesla' because really they sell no matter who the competition is.

Including to us. It looks like a car before the EU started screwing around with pedestrian-protection garbage. Low nose, easy to see out of. And it's fast as hell.

He was and probably is a PITA to work for. But you thought you were doing something. Some worked out, some didn't.

NASA made some changes to the SR-71 suit design so they would be good for use with Shuttle seats and the electrical and breathing air systems. But the basic suit, gloves, and helmet were the same. Google an image search for SR-71 suits and Shuttle launch suits for a look at the similarity.

Electric cars are fine and dandy if you don't have to go far. Putz around town, go to a friends, maybe work.....Ok. Torque is great in an electric motor, but don't ask it to do it too often or your range is gone.

I live in Texas. You drive an hour to see friends or go to work.

Dallas to Lubbock is 5 hours. In a Tesla, you'll have to book a hotel outside of town and hope they have a charging station and spend the night before you make it to town.

Sorry, I'll take 10 minute fueling stops all day long......

Geez, we are in DEEP trouble. What really bothers me is that that's how IIRC Vox Day described the leftist takeover of the Presbyterian Church. That's also like the way the Episcopal Church got involved with FALN, the terrorist group, in the 70s.

654 Sorry, Vox didn't write that himself. He posted a reader's comment on a book.
