Leftwingers -- and the Pseudoright Twitter-Addict Soyboys Who Rush to Agree With Leftwingers About Everything -- Have Yet Another Freak Out on Twitter

If you can believe that.

Liberate the GOP from these trust-fund queerbaits and these Twitter-based wannabe members of the Professional Managerial Class.

Muh Normz, Muh Normz, Muh Normz.

Meanwhile these little daisy boys are all lining up to vote for Joey Fingers.

Hey, fat, look: Go fuck yourself.

The whole C**k Collection, the Free Beacon c*nts being paid by Paul Singer, the Washington Examiner bitches being paid by Phil Anshutz (and also getting some AEI money on the side), the Commentary trannies living off of Jon Podhoretz's dad's friends -- every single day they join the left to attack the right.

Every.

And they assured me that it was totally not a scam and that the phone call was being monitored by the FBI, BofA, and BBB to ensure quality. They told me that a registered letter was on the way! I assured them that, since we are in lockdown, I'd be here to receive it and hung up. I sure hope they weren't gonna ask for any info from me.

34 A Democratic group expected to spend millions of dollars targeting President Donald Trump received over $100,000 in stock shares from an anonymous donor in a giant Chinese tech company, according to tax filings.

American Bridge 21st Century accepted a gift in 2018 of 450 shares into Baidu, a Google-like tech company closely affiliated with China's ruling Communist Party, according to the group's 2018 IRS filings. The Washington Free Beacon first reported on the donation Wednesday.

It is unclear if American Bridge sold the stocks during the past two years, according to the Free Beacon's report. Democratic operative David Brock founded the group in 2010 and has raked in $23 million in 2020, with a reported $2 million of that money coming from mega-financier George Soros.

Trump has always had a soft spot for Virginia. He really thought he was going to win it. He is as flumnoxed as everyone else how hard it turned to the left. VA was leading the way on 2A in the 90s and early 2000s. Other state 2A groups looked to Virginia as an example. Now look at it. Yeah someone must liberate it at the ballot box.

The problem is they all did come out in 2016 and it wasn't enough. It has been all downhill since then.

Posted by: bear with asymmetrical balls at April 17, 2020 04:12 PM (H5knJ)

I think the problem is that, just like with the Iraq War, when you go on a nationwide adventure without an exit plan from the beginning, it becomes really hard to just ... pull the plug on it.

We don't have a clearly defined end goal here. originally it was to 'flatten the curve" (aka: keep hospitalization rates near, but not above capacity. As cases fell, let people out and let them get infected, then re-locking them up, etc., until a vaccine was found.)

That plan seems to have gone out the window. We're also goalpost moving big time with how bad the models say the pandemic is going to be.

So now trumps kind of fucked... because no matter what, he's going to get blamed for every person who dies post-quarantine, and for every job lost.

Also, I have no idea what "responsible re-opening means."

Looks better to have the people do it, in keeping with his populist instincts. But, the Constitution does guarantee a Republican form of government, he does have the power to intervene if a state is denying it to US Citizens.

185 The heart and soul of a fixed or monopolistic market is the drive to provide nothing that the consumer actually wants or needs, and then overcharge for it.

To keep that business model you must exclude all the providers that will provide what the consumer will buy.

282 went to Walmart (Nacogdoches) this morning. No lines, about a third of the people wearing masks. No rubbing alcohol or butter, and about half the shelving missing (it's been undergoing major renovation for close to three months, which doesn't help). However, I did find a bit of toilet paper for the first time in two months -- four-packs only, and not many. No posted restrictions, but since they actually HAD some, I only got one pack, thinking maybe I can get some better stuff next trip.

Otherwise, car parts was good (needed Stop-Leak). Got some frozen stuff and canned goods, so I'd say we're good for at least two weeks. My sister's bringing over some homemade masks (better than my improvised ones) this weekend.

And Gov. Abbott is opening up retail outlets "on the go", whatever that means. So Texas is heading back to normal.

Remember in 2008? After the crisis, banks had plenty of liquidity. But did they use that liquidity to make loans the individuals or small business?

Fuck no.

Nobody could get a loan. Even with an 850 credit score and well over a million in cash, I couldn't get a loan for an apartment complex I wanted to buy. There was no lending. Even years later, a number of people wanted to buy the restaurant I bought for my daughter. They had assets and good credit, but the banks just weren't lending. The only way I got it is writing the check and paying cash.

What we're coming into after the economy reopens is going to be the same thing times 10. People and small businesses are going to be going bankrupt by the bushel. Even if you've been a good customer of the bank for 30 years, they'll act like they don't know you if you come looking for cash to get you through the hump.

Politicians have two reasons for not helping. One, they don't really understand business. Two, they want to keep control of the money and pass it out in small doses so everyone becomes dependent on them.

There is a better way.

Isn't it true that the Michigan legislature only extended Witless's emergency powers to April 30 subway? So her talking about seeing to open up on May 1st is little more than a face saving measure.

Or maybe the DNC told her to knock it off since her actions run the risk of pushing more votes to Trump.

Posted by: Ghost of Lee Atwater at April 17, 2020 04:20 PM

Governor Half-Whitmer was talking tough after the Wednesday noon protest at the capitol. She and her mean girls were out spreading lies on Twitter and in TV interviews that it was just a bunch of racists with Confederate flags and people blocking ambulances and first responders.

She then started blabbering about "these protests are exactly the kind of thing that spreads the virus and could mean we need to extend the stay-at-home order." She was talking of extending the order that is set to expire on April 30th. Recall that she originally wanted a 70-day order that would have gone through mid-June.

She then did a complete about-face after Trump's plan was released yesterday and his Tweets this morning.

When the economy opens, about 20% of the small businesses won't reopen. That just the reality of it and there's no way to stop it.

However, the next 20% of small businesses could be saved if they have access to real capital. The vast majority of these small business owners have used their homes as the major asset to secure loans. That is their savings account - their home.

Home foreclosures are going to be at a historical high about 8 months after the economy opens. Banks are going to shut off any additional lending long before that.

But in the last few years, millennials have been moving out of the cities to the suburbs and small towns. They've been finding out that artisanal cupcakes, craft beer, and street artists aren't worth paying rent for a 400 sq ft apartment that costs more than a house in the burbs

Good afternoon everyone! The IHME model just updated again. As
always, models are fed new info as it comes in to recalibrate its
predictions. Let's see what has changed since its last update on Monday:

Overall US:

-# of total deaths decreased from 68,841 to 60,308

-Projected bed shortage at peak increased from 3,948 to 8,127.

-Peak hospital usage went from 4/10 to 4/14 peak daily death toll went from 4/13 to 4/15

-Under 200 deaths a day went from 5/27 to 5/10

Individual state: NY

-Peak hospital went from 4/8 to 4/15. Peak daily death toll went from 4/10 to 4/16

-Total deaths now projected to be 21,812 instead of 14,542

-Under 20 deaths per day projected to be on 5/12 instead of 5/1.

State: FL (some big moves here):

-Peak hospital use expected to be on 4/14 instead of 5/3

-Peak daily death toll expected to be on 4/2 instead of 5/6

-Total deaths now projected to be 1,363 instead of 4,748

-Under 20 deaths per day projected to be 5/3 instead of 6/1

---
Your model projects that all the peaks are at the latest two days ago?

American Bridge 21st Century accepted a gift in 2018 of 450 shares into Baidu, a Google-like tech company closely affiliated with China's ruling Communist Party, according to the group's 2018 IRS filings. The Washington Free Beacon first reported on the donation Wednesday.

It is unclear if American Bridge sold the stocks during the past two years, according to the Free Beacon's report. Democratic operative David Brock founded the group in 2010 and has raked in $23 million in 2020, with a reported $2 million of that money coming from mega-financier George Soros.

-Under 20 deaths per day projected to be 5/3 instead of 6/1

Just found out my sister, who lives in Washington state and works in an old folks' home, got the damn Kung Flu.

She's doing alright, except for the fact that she feels like shit. Started getting sick Wednesday, got tested, and wouldn't ya know it.

Talked to her a few minutes ago and she sounded...under the weather but fine otherwise.

I guess now she and the fam (all under quarantine now) just gotta tough it out.

I predict someone gets strangled to death by the end of the week (which, I believe under the current reporting rules, counts towards covid).

No, this is only correct if you will accept the hit on your credit rating, as in you are ready to declare impaired earnings - ie an impaired credit standing. Bank of America, so generous...so full of shit.

If you can hang on and pay your mortgage, I would suggest doing so. When the economy opens, and you opted to not pay due to impaired earnings, its going to be a lot harder to repair a bad credit rating and get the funds to restart a personal business or do what you need to do.

The only thing that's an absolute certainty - the banks don't give a shit about their customers. If they can make 5 cents more by foreclosing on you than working it out, they'll foreclose.

As far a putting off payments, they have a slight leeway of about 3 months, however they don't hold the notes - bond holders do. The banks have a fiduciary duty to maximize the return and pay the promised interest on time. If they don't foreclose on delinquent loans, they're libel.

Back in '08, the stinking bailout made sure the banks didn't lose a dime, but didn't do one thing to help people save their homes. In most cases, it was far better for the bank to kick out the previous owner and just let the property go to shit.

Watching the movie, and Grant on the screen, the thought kept coming over and over that I didn't know that Hugh Grant could turn the awkward-shy-cute-stammer off. Apparently he can.

Directors are the chief actors in a movie. If you see a star whose performances you've always liked turn in a WTF performance, chances are easy that the director did not (know how to) remove the bad delivery choices.

Credits to Guy Ritchie, then.

BoA does the collection though, for which they get a fee. That's the way a lot of banks work now, ie trying to get mortgages off their balance sheets. Your mortgage is probably sold to a company which may keeps many "pooled" on a separate company's balance sheet for leverage in other deals (REITS), or resell them in "strips" - pairing off interest from principal in derivatives or separating certain highly collateralized loans from the more risky ones in separate deals.

596 This is why I suggested that the recovery program pays off all existing residential mortgages, along with student, credit card and consumer debt.

The government can make quick, exact payments to a small number of lenders and be done with it. Everyone who held a mortgage or other debt on March 1, 2020 would be debt free. Wall Street couldn't steal the money, because it's all documented.

And the government could do it without borrowing. Everything paid for with asset sales over the next 100 years.

But, once again, the masks slip off even further to expose the tyrants from within. The questions really are, "Will we learn the right lessons?" and "Will we act, collectively, to abandon those who do not understand the balance with freedom/liberty and get them as far away from power as possible?"

This is why in my plan the people who don't carry debt get nothing.

People who never use debt are not the risk takers, the people who open businesses, who employ those who are too afraid to try. Without the borrowers, those who will put their entire economic future on the line to make payroll, buy equipment, build buildings and engage with others to grow the economy, we would be a collection of villages, trading corn for pumpkins by the side of a dirt road.

Depends on the bank...if the bank sold the mortgage and is just collecting for a fee for collection services, maybe for a little while out of cash reserves to make up the short fall, but the company holding the mortgage probably leveraged the cash flow for another deal, for which they themselves now owe a monthly payment, so not so much...every non-payment means someone, somewhere goes without and has to eat into cash reserves.

Damn straight, Skippy.

A lot of people did everything right. Followed the rules, took calculated risks, hired people, paid taxes and fueled the biggest economy in the world, then the government pulled the rug out from under them.

These people need to be made whole in a timely manner. The best way to do that on a national scale is use my plan for the government to pay off all residential mortgage, student, credit card and consumer debt. Pay for it with sales of federal assets administered by a new, quasi governmental agency that is tasked with selling the assets over a 100 year period. This agency would have the ability to advance up to 50% of the estimated value of the assets to the treasury immediately.

At one point in the Civil War Lincoln had a problem that congressmen were trying to undermine Seward and get him replaced. They were being fed info by Chase in the cabinet. Lincoln forced a meeting where Chase was forced to back Lincoln and deny Seward was a bad influence.

Chase came in later, stammering about submitting a resignation. Lincoln perked up at this and snatched the resignation out of Chase's hand, and presented the two resignations as a package deal.

Not the most polite thing to do, but Lincoln got his way and kept his people.
