NY Post Confirms That FBI Is "Reviewing" Charges That Ilhan "Omar" Nur Married Her Brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, to Defraud INS

Don't get too excited -- this looks like another FBI cover-up.

They've accepted the information, because there is a lot of evidence of this crime, and they have to at least be seen as open to investigating, but in fact, they're not.

They will bury this.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is reviewing claims Rep. Ilhan Omar married her brother, The Post has learned.

Two FBI agents held an hours-long meeting in Minnesota in mid-October with a concerned party who handed over a trove of documents regarding Omar’s 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a source with knowledge of the event said.

At the meeting, first reported by website The Blaze, the agents discussed concerns the Somali-born Democrat married Elmi, a British citizen rumored to be her brother, so he could obtain a green card and study in America, the source said.

The two agents said they would share the information with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the US Department of Education, but did not commit to opening an investigation into the firebrand lawmaker, the source said.

Nah, FBI investigations are for important, well-evidenced stuff, like Carter Page being a RUSSIAN operative.

34 Because I'm the optimist around here, I will note that one reassuring thing has come out of all the revelations about the FBI:

It really was a pretty small group.

The same people pop up again and again. The whole op against Trump was run out of the front office and when Weiner's laptop became a thing, they moved to lock that into DC's orbit as well.

Thus there is hope that there might be actual agents who want to investigate stuff.

If the whole agency were crooked, they wouldn't have had Strzok be assigned to every single investigation.

So there's that.

The question is being asked if they support him being removed from office.

If you don't like him, sure, yeah, go ahead.

With Clinton they did this whole thing about overturning an election, etc.

But now, it's just a thing you can do.

And even with 24/7 lies, they still can't massage a poll sample to get a clear majority.

130 Fun thing though (which also shows who our real Masters are).

If a loan is still active, like a student loan. Then fraud on said loan is an active crime, even if you got the loan more than the 5 year ago.

SoL actually only hits 5 years after the loan is paid off.

Thus, if a student loan is not paid off? They could still do a fraud investigation based on that active loan.

Because I'm the optimist around here, I will note that one reassuring thing has come out of all the revelations about the FBI:

It really was a pretty small group.

The same people pop up again and again. The whole op against Trump was run out of the front office and when Weiner's laptop became a thing, they moved to lock that into DC's orbit as well.

Thus there is hope that there might be actual agents who want to investigate stuff.

If the whole agency were crooked, they wouldn't have had Strzok be assigned to every single investigation.

So there's that.

Used to be, but now Maynard claims to have vertigo and does the show off-stage. When I saw them about 18 months ago he never got on stage, he did the singing from backstage. Never saw him once, just the guitarist, bassist and drummer on stage. Would've been nice for a heads-up before spending $300 on tickets.
I've seen Youtube videos of a few of their shows since and he stands still behind the drummer, but at least he's still on stage.
In 1993 I saw them open for Korn and it's one of the top 3 shows I've ever seen.

I never liked the idea of a big-time Defense Lawyer trying to impress with technicalities.

Big-time Defense lawyers, especially on Appeal, are scummy lawyers who all-but-admit their clients are scum but because of some legal technicality, they must be acquitted.

Oddly, some people really really believe that putting in the 'correct' answer is not the same as lying. Like doing a rout memorization test in school - do you know if it is true or the believe it? Irrelevent if it is the correct answer.

Now the SOL on immigration fraud. I think that is forever. Either explicitly or by virtue of the fact that you are still pretending to have a legit green card or naturalization base upon false info. If caught in an honest error I think they would correct the paperwork and reset the clock for wait periods.

Lying about your name and engaging in bigamy with your bro is not an honest mistake.

No, he used to be extremely physical. One time he tackled a guy that junped on stage, put him in a judo mount and performed the rest of the 15 minute song on top of the guy. Find that on youtube. He used to be full energy. I was pissed when he didn't even bother going up on the stage. It was about a year later I learned it was because their light/laser show started giving him seizures or whatever. I thought at the time it was some performance art "it's not about the singer" bullshit. Do check Youtube videos of the current tour tho, they don't copyright strike them so there's tons up there. Maybe he's found a better way to cope.

271 I'm going to respectfully (well not really respectfully) disagree. There are certain freshmen congresscritters that haven't realized that the Democrat party exists by subterfuge. You can't go out and say exactly what you mean. You have to be vague, non-committal, and highly aloof, or the public figures out that you are fringe ideologues.

AOC, Omar etc...are actually getting the rug pulled out from under them by their own party.

Also, take a look at the Powerline boys. Omar has an enforcer that will light a fire under the FBI. Threats have been levied to the wrong party.

Omar is toast. AOC is toast, and there are about 3 or 4 others in that group that will be shown the door by their own party eventually.

Yale Cancels Western Art. Introduction to Art History, for decades one of the most popular and famous courses at Yale, is being eliminated because its emphasis on Western art is problematic, according to the chair of the art history department, Tim Barringer. 314 So, Collins, Murkowski and Romney vote with Dems, on (a) having witnesses at all, and (b) possibly also only voting to bring in Dem's preferred witnesses, here, only John Bolton.

That would leave the Senate split 50/50, with Pence casting the deciding vote, in Trump's favor.

What are odds of this outcome? Give Dems a great talking point going into 2020? Check. Allows Romney, Murkowski and Collins to vote "Yes" on removal from office, while leaving their colleagues the honor of officially shooting it down to end the charade? Check. Allows all Trump-haters to add to their hate of both Trump and, as a valuable bonus, Pence? Check. Another chink in the demoralization of GOP voters coming into 2020 Election? Check.

Sounds like it may as well be written in stone.

335 Yale can't have a Western Civ class at Yale for the same reason that every PBS announcer has to try to announce foreign names and capitals in a foreign accent. We used to be able to talk about "Peking" and "Kiev" in a normal, standardized way, until the Lords of Multiculturalism deemed it required to ape foreign pronunciations in order not to be "chauvanistic" and "colonialist." But now its all "Baaayzzzhing" and "Keeeev" and "Eeeeran" and "Pockeeestahn" to the educated fools.

And yet, when residents of Baaayhhjjjzinggg are given the news about New York or London, I doubt their announcers take pains to imitate an "American accent" --but simply assign words and names to places outside of China IN THEIR OWN FUCKING LANGUAGE which is a basic function of languages since time immemorial, except of course for about the last 15 years in the "privileged" West.

In other words, every culture is allowed to have a culture, except ours.
