None of this is going to be new news to any of you, but the interesting thing is that leftwingers, and I think announced socialists, can admit these things, and yet supposed Holier-Than-Thou Brave Truth-Seeking Only-Adults-in-the-Room True Conservatives like David French and Jonah Goldberg continue lying about it.

I hooked up the OTA mudflap antenna to my TV when I first got it, just to see what TV used to be like before cable. You know, cable? All the channels that they charge for, monthly? From which fee they receive revenue, independent of advertising revenue?

Anyway, a commercial came on so I figured I'd have time to get up, make a snack, use the restroom, read a novella, conceive and raise a child to adulthood, the usual stuff you can knock out during a commercial break on cable. Nope! Didn't make it back from the bathroom before the show was back on. On broadcast TV, for which I receive no bill, basically pulled from the ether by magical gnomes or something.
