Democrats' Star Counsel Dan Goldman Claims He's a Non-Partisan Straight-Arrow Fact-Finder, Then Wilts When Asked By Matt Gaetz if He Used to Tweet That the Pee-Pee Tape Was Real

The federal government is overflowing with genius.

Rep. Matt Gaetz confronted Daniel Goldman, the Democratic counsel for the House Intelligence Committee during Monday’s impeachment hearing with a poster-board-sized cutout of a tweet he sent in August 2018 suggesting that the "pee tape" mentioned in the Steele dossier was real and would "come out."

Gaeta began by asking Goldman, under oath, if he was non-partisan. Goldman replied in the affirmative.

"Have you ever tweeted anything at the president?" Gaetz asked him.

"I have made a number of tweets in my private capacity before I came to this job when I worked in the media," Goldman replied.

"As a matter of fact, this is one of those tweets," Gaetz said gleefully displaying the posterboard.

"You said, 'Nothing in the dossier has proved to be false.' But in fact, the dossier said there was a Russian consulate in Miami, when there isn't. The dossier said Michael Cohen had a meeting in Prague, when he didn't. The dossier said Michael Cohen's wife was Russian, she is in fact Ukrainian," Gaetz said. "So we sit here today and you've got a tweet mentioning a 'pee tape' while claiming to be non-partisan. Hired by the Democrats to pursue the president. Do you regret this tweet?"

Video at the link.

In another unearthed tweet, the Superstar Bureaucrat Goldman squeals that Christie Blasey Ford is the single greatest witness he's ever, um, witnessed, and is especially impressed by her high scientific acumen in babbling about things being "engraved into her hippocampus" or whatev's.

70 Facebook's head of AI Jerome Pesenti recently told WIRED that deep learning and AI tech are set "hit the wall" and "in many ways we already have." The former VP of IBM's Watson platform was answering the question of whether he's concerned about the rapidly increasing compute power required for advanced AI.

"Not every area has reached the limit of scaling, but in most places, we're getting to a point where we really need to think in terms of optimization, in terms of cost benefit, and we really need to look at how we get most out of the compute we have. This is the world we are going into," Pesenti said.

Maybe one reason the absurd piss dossier got as far as it did, is that the majority of the elite, particularly on the political left, has secret perverted on record that is used to control them. They think this is a normal. It's the price of admission to the upper reaches.

That's why Epstein ran his porno factories. Everybody involved must have known or at least suspected they were being taped. His operation was the Admissions Office.

Fall out of favor, and they burn you with your secret. Trump burned them, but they didn't have a tape. The habit was so ingrained in them, and their creativity so dulled, that they followed the usual playbook anyway.

The record of Obama's team was abysmal, they lost and lost and lost and were humiliated, even found literally in contempt of court several times. They were like the Cleveland Browns of lawyers. 139 Horowitz's whitewash can be blamed on his lack of purview, but I don't buy it. He lays out the malfeasance and then clears it as, in essence, a failure of process control at the FBI and DoJ.

He didn't have to do that. He could have called it what it was, even if he had no power to do anything about it. He didn't. He covered for them just like he did last time. This report will be trotted out again and again if Barr or Durham actually decide to pursue something (which I suspect they won't, but who knows - I'd love to be surprised). It won't be a good argument, but it will be a loud one.

The only way i see this working out as a positive is if it turns out that Horowitz is dirty himself and they discredit him as a bad actor - which would put his report into serious suspicion even among the only tangentially tuned-in.

It's just so damn big. You just can't prosecute a few people, the man says. I was pretty sickened, by him, today. To say that everything must be perfect before you proceed, is to say you will never proceed.

So many people are being paid to lie, and Epstein didn't kill himself. And he ran his "empire" alone, because there are no consequences to be exacted here. If we have the flight logs we know who else was there. Just as the FBI surely knows the "motive" for the Vegas shooting, and all the other "no motive will ever be known" cases.

He's only discussing it because he has to. He's not doing it because he wants to. The reason he's out now doing this is because the IG of his won organization said there is no criminality here. That's an unforced error, and no amount of saying people should re-read the report, or listen to Barr being made, is going to prevent any future defendant in this matter from using this report like a hammer in front of a jury. Its the way court works. And cops are given the benefit of the doubt in these matters - especially when the very guy assigned to investigate the cops wrong doing gives them the all clear.

Its not helpful, and saying so doesn't mean that "something won't happen" - it might - it just means it wasn't helpful.

Sure, all that stuff is in the IG report. He lays out all the info, then says that the people he interviewed pinky swore it was all just a misunderstanding and no bias was involved.

Just like the previous IG report about the Clinton investigation proved everything people were saying about it, but the conclusion was "mistakes were made, no bad faith, need more training"

What you mean by "no criminality here" is lots broader than the charge he was given. Horowitz was wrong in his summary conclusion, I agree (and so does Barr/Durham obviously), but he had limited scope and he didn't address lots of the criminal acts at all.

Wray, on the other hand, has an unlimited scope to begin reforming his bedraggled institution. Democrats will be squealing like little girls about that interview.

They are. I hit quite a few lefty sites looking for the entire interview (could not find it) and they are livid!

306 Barr is saying it's at least 6 more months.

Well what if they keep finding things and keep expanding and keep delaying?
Posted by: blaster at December 10, 2019 02:09 PM (ZfRYq)

Jarndyce and Jarndyce. Maybe Barr can discuss this with Mueller over Bloody Marys after their Bible Study.

307 >>I know exactly what it means that Barr and Durham said something. It means they said something. Nothing more nothing less.

No, you obviously don't understand what it means.

308 Maria B weeks back said she heard the IG report was as thick as a phone book. Other reports said it would have many referrals (for prosecution) and Solomon said at least a couple. Are there any direct referrals?

in any case, Whitaker's conclusions are at variance with the facts, especially with the facts that were omitted. It is in the pattern of Comey and Mueller ... lay out crimes, then dismiss them. (or in Mueller's case, found no Trump crime, but conclusion was full of "but he has not proved himself innocent")

Barr has indicted some Ukraine actors ... maybe that is just the beginning ... we just have to wait, and hope (and squeak a lot).

309 I know exactly what it means that Barr and Durham said something. It means they said something. Nothing more nothing less.

Past performance is not indicative of future results, we hope.

312 Trump has has a reputation as a germaphobe for decades.

Where did this idea begin? I've seen numerous videos of President Trump shaking 100's of hands at graduations, hugging Down Syndrome folks after a concert, placing his hand on a shoulder and embracing people, etc.
He doesn't seem to shun people, the opposite imo, he appears in his element being in an arena with thousands.

313 Anyone remember Chuckie Schumer saying,

Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community- they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.

That was a threat. And that's one of the things restraining our elected officials.

314 he really does think himself without prejudice. I mean, everyone in the media and all the democrats in congress call him a straight shooter. they wouldn't lie, and can't be wrong.

If he ever is wrong it is by accident. or the definition needs to be changed. Or Trump lied. or republicans lied. Democrat straight shooters are never wrong, just ask them.

318 The more I think about it, what Horowitz did was negate probable cause and replace it with gossip and hearsay is good enough.

319 Sorry, I completely disagree with you. The report is a devastating review of the actions of the FBI during the whole Russia hoax.

It's a small but important part of the totality of evidence that will be used.
Posted by: JackStraw at December 10, 2019 01:56 PM (ZLI7S)

Even in the report body, it says that the excuses made for the manifest errors are unjustifiable. The fact that at the top and bottom they fudge and say that it wasn't 'politically modivated' won't wash in a review where the question is did they break the laws on FISA (yes), withhold exculpatory evidence illegally (yes) and so on.
