THE QUOTES OF THE DAY

Quote I

“Pelosi invokes her Catholicism on everything but abortion,” Rush Limbaugh

Quote II

“We sincerely apologize to this child and her family and will be taking immediate disciplinary action against the person responsible.” Lisa Kinney, DOC Spokesperson

Quote III

"We can't go on like this; it is not sustainable that children skip school and we don't want to continue — we would love some action from the people in power. People are suffering and dying today. We can't wait any longer," Greta Thunberg

Quote IV

"The Internet as we know it was developed by taxpayer-funded research, using taxpayer-funded grants in taxpayer-funded labs. Our tax dollars built the Internet, and access to it should be a public good for all, not another price-gouging profit machine for Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon." Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) is a scuzzy POS. It's bad enough he is proceeding with this sham impeachment of POTUS Trump. Now, he's sowing seeds of doubt about the election results.

After three years of using trumped-up allegations of Russian collusion to try and stymie President Donald Trump’s agenda, it appears congressional Democrats are scheming to pull the same stunt again in case the president wins reelection next year.

It’s hard to draw any other conclusion given the recent rhetoric of the party’s top figures, including House Judiciary Committee chair Jerry Nadler.

Speaking Sunday morning on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” he accused the president of posing “a threat to our election” and suggested that, if ultimately acquitted by the Senate, Trump “will do everything he can to make it not make it a fair election.”

The Ace of Spades Cob Dental Plan is second to none. I'm hoping this guy isn't our In-Network Provider.

In Alaska, a dentist is accused of fraud, unnecessarily sedating patients, and performing a dental procedure on a woman while riding a wheeled, motorized hoverboard, authorities say.

Seth Lookhart, 34, is charged with felony Medicaid fraud and reckless endangerment.

From AP:

A former patient testified Wednesday at his trial that she was angered when an investigator showed her an unauthorized 2016 video of Lookhart extracting one of her teeth while she was sedated and he was riding the hoverboard. Veronica Wilhelm was “pretty livid” about the dentist’s actions, she testified.

“When did Dr. Lookhart get your approval to take out your tooth on a hoverboard,” prosecutor Joan Wilson asked in court.

A slow weekend. President Trump trolling like a champ.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—There wasn't much happening in the world today, so Trump simply sat at his desk looking for something to do.

Then he got an idea. Picking up his desk phone, he dialed a number and waited for the man on the other end to pick up.

Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick was sitting around nervously waiting for his phone to ring at long last. As his ringtone, the USSR anthem, began to play, Kaepernick lunged for the phone and picked up on the first ring. "Hello?" he said, attempting to sound casual.

"Hi, uh, yes, is this a Mr. Kaepernick?" Trump said, stifling laughter.

"Yeah, it's me. Who's this?" Kaepernick said, trying not to get his hopes up.

There may be a shortage of potatoes. That's a bummer.Early cold snap hurt Idaho potatoes. Early cold snap? I thought the world was hot, hot, hot.

A cold snap may put a freeze on French fries as farmers deal with smaller potato crops this year.

From an extended rainy period in the Red River Valley of North Dakota, to an early frost in Idaho, weather negatively affected the harvesting of potatoes, reducing the expected haul in the U.S. by 6% as compared to 2018, according to the Department of Agriculture.

As of early November, only 73% of total crops had been harvested.

In Idaho, the state that grows one-third of all potatoes produced in the U.S., a freeze hit between Oct. 9 and 11.

I always try to put myself in the other person's shoes. These are some shoes that don't fit and I don't think ever will.

Cierra Brown estimates her commute to work would only take about 25 minutes if she had a car. That’s part of the reason she returned to McDonald’s in January: Her car had broken down and she needed money. But at McDonald’s, Brown only earns $9.50 per hour as a cashier, which barely helps cover rent and is far from enough to solve her vehicular woes. Without a car, one of Brown’s main headaches is getting to work. Her typical bus commute to McDonald’s takes as long as two hours each way.

I joined the Fight for $15 and a Union because I’ve worked in the fast food industry for 14 years—about half my life—and all these jobs have a few things in common. They all paid poverty wages. None of these jobs have given me the opportunity to come together with my coworkers in a union, or receive any healthcare benefits. And the only way we'll create change in these jobs is workers coming together and demanding it.

Once upon a time I worked in a restaurant for a short period of time. I knew that it wasn't going to be a career for me. It didn't take me 14 years to realize it doesn't pay well.

I'm pretty simplistic when it comes to art. This is simple, but it isn't for me. Is it for you?

Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan’s latest provocation, a sculptural intervention that consists of a banana duct-taped to the wall of Perrotin’s booth at Art Basel in Miami Beach, has been sold. The work, titled Comedian (2019), had been priced at $120,000; like most of Cattelan’s works, it exists in an edition of three, plus two artist’s proofs. Two of the three editions of Comedian had been sold by Wednesday afternoon, and according to a Perrotin rep, the gallery is “currently speaking with a museum that wants to acquire the third.” The work comes with a certificate of authenticity, and owners of the work replace the banana as they see fit.

Well that didn't take long. Buh-bye art.

Is it alright to tell your children there is a Santa Claus?

In general, we try to be pretty honest people. I mean we're journalists. But when it comes to Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the tooth fairy, or whatever it is in your family ... is it bad to lie to your kids to keep the magic alive?

Cory's gotten deep into the Santa ruse: setting out the reindeer snack, calling into the Santa tracker on Christmas Eve. Anya wrote notes impersonating the Tooth Fairy and when that didn't work, she even set up a phone call! The con has gotten really long, and the kids might be on to us. We know we're not alone.

Here are four tips for handling that awkward moment when your kids start doubting the world of magic. Luckily Rosemarie Truglio, a childhood development specialist and senior vice president of Education and Research at Sesame Workshop, is going to help us figure out how — and how long — to keep the magic alive.

'Alcohol may have saved humanity from extinction, scientists claim'

Humanity’s ancestors may have been saved from extinction by alcohol, scientists have suggested

In a new book, called Alcohol And Humans: A Long And Social Affair, professors Dr Kim Hockings and Dr Robin Dunbar say that African apes who lived around 10 million years ago evolved to metabolise ethanol, the chemical compound in alcohol.

These primates eventually gave rise not only to humans but also to chimps, bonobos and gorillas, all of which share the ability to break down booze. The common ape ancestor evolved to carry a protein that made metabolising ethanol more efficient, which allowed them to eat overripe fermented fruits that fell on the ground.

According to Dr Hockings and Dr Dunbar, these primates were in competition for survival with rival monkey species who were able to eat unripe fruit that was still on plants.

I don't know about extinction, sure has kept the advertising firms in cash.

Do you have someone hard to shop for on your Christmas gift list? Do you have money burning a hole in your bucket? Oh boy does The ONT have the gift for you.

An average mug costs between $5 and $10, while a nice travel mug goes for around $20, or maybe a little more if you’re feeling fancy. So how on earth does a company justify a smart mug that costs a whopping $180?

While it might sound outlandish, this question isn’t purely hypothetical, because thanks to the Ember’s second-gen Travel Mug, the value of a $180 smart mug is something that actually needs to be examined. So what makes this travel mug so smart?

27 So, totally OT but it's an open thread, so...

I was watching a program from 1986 about education and technology. There was one little segment with a woman who ran the technology for an under-performing school in the San Francisco inner city. It underscores just how profoundly stupid so very many education policies and funding decisions are, and for how long this has been true.

We have two computer labs. We have one computer lab that was purchased through federal funding, and that was specifically for the low socioeconomic students that had low test scores. ... I realized that 80% of our population were using these computers, but 20% couldn't because their scores were too high. ... In our school, they have been very helpful the remedial [case], and like I said, we had 80% of students who had been using them and there scores have gone up so now it's 50%.

She goes on to talk about whipping up more grant money to furnish a lab for the normal or high achievers, since they were forbidden by policy from using the equipment furnished for struggling students.

Mind-boggling.

28 Hey everybody.

Since there wasn't a movie thread this weekend, I wanted to ask everyone, has anyone here seen the movie "A Ghost Story"? It came out about two years ago I believe, and stars Casey Affleck (who's under a sheet almost the entire movie) and Rooney Mara. Supposedly there's very little dialogue in the entire film.

I read about it this past weekend. It sounds very interesting, but also very sad.

50 The "Fight for 15" crowd needs to be very careful what it wishes for.

Have they seen the interest rates and capital markets lately? Ever since the Great Recession, access to capital has been very easy (indeed, too easy) for blue chips. An automatic burger joint is possible. It has been demonstrated. It actually works fairly well. The problem is the cost of the machines. At $10 an hour for the employees, the machines don't make sense.

Up that by half, factor in low interest rates and easy money for major corps, and you're gonna see fast food automation almost faster than you can blink.

I had a friend from Connecticut who moved to Brooklyn with some other friends. I visited them and for breakfast, we went to a soul food restaurant. They had grits on the menu. I ordered them. They were good.

She had heard of grits, but never tried them. She tried some of mine. She did that thing you do with grits (munge them, I guess - you don't chew 'em).

She sat silently for about 15 seconds and said, "Well, we don't have *that* in New England."

137 A cold snap may put a freeze on French fries as farmers deal with smaller potato crops this year.

9 and 11.

https://tinyurl.com/tj4pohw

A a person who has been affected by clinical depression I have empathy and sympathy for anyone affected by that terrible disease. Too many people leave gaping whole in the lives of others-even in the lives of people who may only know them slightly when they take their lives. However, it was a terrible idea forHill to get into relationship with staffers and think that was o.k., I also think it's nutty for anyone in the internet to take nude pictures of themselves by their phone and think it won't end up with someone seeing. I am glad I grew up before the internet and the stupidest picture of me is probably one where I was dressed as flower for a kids show, or just generally bad pictures because I'm not photogenic and plain.

I'm also not sure whether I believe that Nancy Pelosi thought that Hill should stay in Congress and leaving was entirely Hill's won idea. There's a bit of a victim mentality on the part of Hill here

P.S. The holidays are often terrible times for people. So many losses to deal with, so if you're thinking of suicide please get help now.

Picnic at Hanging Rock is a mystery that, ultimately has no (normal) conclusion. It's a mystery that tells us what a mystery ultimately means, in terns of mystery.

A Ghost Story tells us what it means to look at time, and our relationship to time, and what it means to us, as small humans.

I don't want to oversell the film, but, it's frickin brilliant in every way that matters.

156 Rep Nadler walks into a Bank to cash a check. As he approaches the cashier he says, "Good morning, Ms could you please cash this check for me?"

Cashier: "It would be my pleasure. Could you please show me your ID?"

Nadler :"Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there was any need to. I am Jerry Nadler, a Democrat in Congress.

Cashier: "Yes, I know who you are, but with all the regulations and monitoring of the banks because of impostors and forgers and all those requirements of the legislation,  etc., I must insist on seeing ID."

Nadler: Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you. Everybody knows who I am."

Cashier: "I am sorry, Mr Nadler, but these are the bank rules and I must follow them."

Nadler: "Come on please, I am urging you, please cash this check."

Cashier: "Look sir, here is an example of what we can do. One day, Tiger Woods came into the bank without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out his putter  and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his check."

"Another time, Andre Agassi came in without ID. He pulled out his tennis racket and made a fabulous shot where the tennis ball landed in my cup. With that shot  we cashed his check. So, sir, what can you do to prove that it is you and only you?"

Nadler stands there thinking and thinking and finally says, "Honestly, my mind is a total blank...there is nothing that comes to my mind. I can't think of a  single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I don't have a clue."

Cashier: "Will that be large or small notes , Mr Nadler?"

"Revenge Porn" sites are a prime but by no means only example.

Extremely stupid. I don't get it. It might be nice to have picture of your hot young girlfriend on your phone, but I can't fathom why the women do it. On the flip side, it might be good for the 'ole ego to make sure your hot your girlfriend has a picture of your fabulous junk on her phone, but this, too, is extremely stupid.

If you're gonna do it, use polaroids. Not foolproof by any means, but the other person at least has to put in an effort to publish it.

Posted by: Tonypete at December 08, 2019 10:53 PM (Y4EXg)

If I were a driver in those circumstances, I'd see a lawyer about putting lien on the tractor and trailer, and the cargo, for the amount of wages due, and any out-of-pocket for fuel, etc.

If she was not good for the charge of having had sex with a staffer, then she should've contested the unfounded ethics violation allegation! Instead... she resigned. Draw your own conclusion as to her guilt or innocence, based on that

Any advice or experience?

Posted by: mikeyG at December 08, 2019 10:10 PM (1vWDB)

Bravo Company produces straight-up .Mil-Spec parts and builds. Materials meet spec in all respects. Quality Control meets spec in all respects. Tolerances meet spec in all respects.

Avoid Bushmaster like the plague. Ownership changes leave you not knowing the era-of-build without deep research, and yes, they had some bad years in there.

Best QUALITY entry-llevel ARs these days, by reputation, are the S&W M&P 15 series, and Ruger SR series.

Palmetto's reputation is steadily improving, but I don't know that they're up to the Big Game in stature as yet.

Facebook came out when I was in college - the early days, when you had to be in an approved shortlist of colleges to sign up.

I signed up (it quickly became the only way to find out about parties). One of my friends asked me why I didn't have my address, phone number, picture, etc. on my profile.

I told him that I would never publish personal information in a public venue. I wouldn't put my ugly mug, address and phone number up on a billboard, so why the hell would I publish it online?

He looked at me like I had two heads. I didn't get it then, and I don't get it now.

I think it's wonderful that he enjoys kids so much that he is willing to do that, and no he is not a perv, and playing Santa is done with many people around him. He gets so much joy from the kids and the sometimes funny things they say. It is an added blessing because he had a dark period of depression lately and came out of it with new medications and was feeling so much better and able to do that, thanks be to God

302 For the price of the silly 12oz electric mug, you can get about six Zojirushi mugs that don't leak, don't need recharging, clean easily, hold twice the volume (each), and keep the contents hot for hours. The coffee is actually hotter when you drink it than when you put it in.

I think it's powered by trapped souls or something.

I want to share a nice little story from the church I serve.

=======

That's very sweet. I served plates one year at a dinner for families of veterans where parents had submitted requests in advance for gifts their kids wanted. Santa passed out all the gifts and this one particular little girl, such a little beauty and sweetie, was trying to get his attention as he was finally leaving with his now-empty bag but he was mobbed by kids, and she absolutely wilted as he got to the door. I got behind her and rushed her to the door and said "Ask him, ask him your question."

She got to him and said all happy-eyed, "Santa Claus, how did you know I wanted a guitar?"

He leaned down with a smile and said, "Because, I'm *Santa*!"

Her eyes lit up even more and she came back in dazedly happy with her toy guitar and her answer.

306 So I have decided to take Monday's off from the internet which is why I'm posting like a monkey on crack now and I will probably make it on the famous ASHQ wall, so I ask for your indulgence.

Anywho (which is a word that our organist sometimes says) after apaslo kindly filled in for me for several months (thnk you, dear!), I think I'd ready to resume the prayer list, so please send any prayer requests, praise reports or updates to me by Monday evening EST. I am moving up the deadline. And if you see anyone who is requesting prayers please tell them to contact me, or forward it to me at FenelonDirection18 at sign gmail.com. I can't see all the requests and some people may not want to have it public which I understand but I can' t here all the time even if it seems like a I am so if I nobody tells me and I don't see it it won't be on the list. Please note: I DO NOT give any anyone's personal e-mail info to anyone else.

P.S. I will be removing some items that don't have any date simply because of space concerns

Prayers matters! Keep calm and keep on praying

BTW, today's sign outside the church says "Pray for the healing for our nation." Someone on here came up with that I thought it was a good suggestion.

Goodnight everyone, Remember you are important to someone in the world or more than one someone even you don't think so. You are important to us here at ASHQ,

330 For the last 25 years or so I've been a volunteer usher at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in DC. In all those years Michael Kahn was the artistic director for the theater and he usually directed one or two shows each season. Now I'm sure Michael Kahn is a leftist, but the shows were generally politics-free. Sure, in 25 years there were a few plays where the guest director tried to put a political spin on it, but I rarely felt that I was being hit over the head with leftist politics.

Last year Michael Kahn retired and now there's a new director, Simon Godwin, a Brit, and I'm concerned.

Last night's play was "Peter Pan and Wendy". This was not JM Barrie's "Peter Pan." It's a 're-imagining' by Lauren Gunderson. Now it's been a long time since I've seen the original "Peter Pan", so it's probably true that the play needs some updating when it comes to Tiger Lily and the other Indians, but do we really need a "Peter Pan" where Wendy, Tiger Lily, and Tinkerbell shout out "Girl Power!"? No, we do not. Do we need a "Peter Pan" where Peter promises to return Neverland to Tiger Lily and apologizes for colonialism? No, we do not.

The actress who played Tiger Lily is Native American, but Wendy and Michael Darling and most of the Lost Boys were African American. I don't have a problem with color-blind casting, but if it's important to have a Native American actress for Tiger Lily, shouldn't it also be important to have Caucasian actors for the British characters? If you're going to go with a color-blind cast, then why bother with British accents?

One highlight of the play was that Nana was played by a real dog, a rescue dog that looked like a big golden doodle. Sadly, Nana was only in the first scene.

So I'm concerned.

"I would like to congratulate all of the people in Houston and around the world who contributed to the launch, navigation and capture of Dragon," station commander Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency said after capturing Dragon with the outpost's robotic arm. "They must know that whenever we welcome a new vehicle on board, we take on board also a little piece of the soul of everyone that contributed to the project. So, welcome on board."

That could make for confusing distress calls if they're asked to "say souls on board".

350 Do we need a "Peter Pan" where Peter promises to return Neverland to Tiger Lily and apologizes for colonialism? No, we do not.

I went to the Oregon Symphony last night. Before the Prokofiev symphony that everyone had actually come for, they had a second-rate balladeer (who is the Oregon Symphony's "creative artist in residence" or something) sing a bunch of left-wing songs, with orchestral accompaniment.

One of the songs was about how black people still have to worry about being lynched by white people in Mississippi; and another song was about his Jewish grandmother fleeing Nazi Germany, and having problems getting into the United States.

He, of course, said that American resistance to Jews emigrating to the United States in 1939 was just the same thing as American resistance to "asylees" emigrating to the United States today. Because a Salvadorian emigrating to the United States for economic reasons, and claiming to be oppressed in El Salvador, is just like a Jew fleeing Nazi Germany. Way to minimize the Holocaust, jerk.

Ultimately my fault, no matter where I try to deflect blame.

I'm hoping to be back to fully operational tomorrow. It may take longer to get cleared off spam blacklists, again.

I think we're well past the point where any play or musical must be #woke, so if you go to any theater production you're paying for a live political lecture that happens to have a song and dance number.

The Oregon Symphony invariably plays the "new music" (frequently, to meet their diversity quotas for composers) before intermission, and the real symphonic music after intermission. I guess they're worried that people would simply walk out at intermission if they played the real music first.

I've wondered if anyone is starting to show up at intermission, to avoid the diversity music, but they started with a short Beethoven piece first last night to defeat that.

363 To Mikeyg in re your next gun purchase -

Have you considered an 80% lower? Cost is somewhere between $80 and $120 for the lower which you complete with a drill press or router; they come in aluminum or polymer. Once you complete the lower, you add the fire control group, a stock, and an upper to complete it. You'll learn a lot about how your gun works, can customize each component to your liking, and upgrade each component later as interest and budget permit.

Also, no waiting period or background check, if that matters...

376 I think it is referred to as "walking music" They put it at the beginning and very end so people can still walk in and leave early.

Nope - the Oregon Symphony tends to embed the diversity music in the middle of the program, so it is hard to avoid.

I'm irritated because the symphony is usually 50% diversity/ 50% real music before intermission, and 100% real music after intermission. Usually, if they play an 18 minute masterwork from a left-handed Latina lesbian composer, they think that they've checked the diversity box for the concert.

However, last night the left-wing balladeer took up almost half the program. It was excruciating.

386 Well, I snow-blowered the driveway and part of the yard today. Another two inches of Gerbil Worming, don't you know? The poor wretched Panhard languishes outside, covered with snow, because I had to push it outside to free up the hoist to look at neighbor's son's car. It has a bent Chapman strut in the rear; he hit the ditch in the snow.

I had tried to start the Panhard, and did start on the priming bottle, but evidently the fuel line is frozen, and electric pump can't get fuel up to the carb.

Later today, I spent a couple of hours putting new brakes on the Studebaker axle I will haul down to Arizona for my '60 Lark that is there. Mostly done that chore; clean up the drums, and fab some hard lines, and it's good to go.

LOL. Didn't realize how bad it was going to be, and there is a certain benefit to (very) occasionally seeing how "woke culture" is progressing. The usual symphony conductor did find something better to do with his time yesterday (a guest conductor conducted instead), which might have been a clue.

The joke is that this isn't going to save them if "woke culture" triumphs - the cultural left is definitely gunning for symphony orchestras, as the epitome of "white culture" (even if the symphony is 20% Asian). Anything redolent of high culture is on the "woke" target list.

I will be fair and say something nice about Nikki Haley.

While she became Christian and changed her name from Radha to Nikki as a teenager, her parents did not feel it necessary to do any honor killing. Cool parents.

The parents are Sikhs, run a successful clothing business, and are leaders in the Sikh Temple (not many in SC, I guess theirs is the main one.

Haley is an accountant by trade and training, like Papa Miklos, the 40 Year Calvinist Deacon.

Haley and my father and a couple of others gave their time and knowledge to give tax advice to religious organizations of whatever kind, when the Obama IRS was very threatening to them.

And yes, religion based non-profits were under threat.

Every morning we pray for the safety of school and any bus drivers and that they would get to the schools safely and back home and for safety for kids in schools.. Today Spouse prayed for patience and strength, He enjoys the kids but they get more shrieky as the holiday and break approaches, as you know.

So aside from this note, I am taking a day off from politics and the board.

The Hong Kong protesters get it. But what I worry about is a Deep State approach to learn how to be resistant to pressure from deplorables.

What can we learn from their efforts to keep America a Constitutional country? We need to be smarter. Having weapons is key to let self-governed citizens act as the feedback mechanism of last resort to keep very bad things happening.

Right now it appears that the leaders do not accept any common sense direction from the people that supposedly represent.

Breakfast time. Have a good one all

Posted by: Bruce at December 09, 2019 07:04 AM (vd8XM)

524 Are you ready for the most cynical prognostication for the near future?

Well here goes...

Horowitz report is released Monday and it is a complete and total whitewash.

Lindsey Graham's judiciary committee hearing cements the theory that the LE/IC apparatus did nothing wrong and acted reasonably given....

....The findings of the totality of Obama's IC apparatus and signed off on by the GOP lead Senate "Intelligence Committee that Russia materially interfered with the 2016 election....

...The GOP controlled Senate will have simultaneously asserted that the Russians interfered with the 2016 elections and the actions of the LE/IC were reasonable in investigating and spying on the Trump campaign.

This one-two punch takes the sails out of the Barr/Durham investigation and they close up shop sometime early in the new year, just as....

The trial of President Trump starts in the Senate...

...Giving McConnell the whip hand against President Trump in being able to extract from him pretty much anything he wants in order to preserve his Presidency, The Quidest of Quid Pro Quos will ensue...

If Trump agrees to McConnell's terms, the Trump Presidency continues, if not then McConnell whips the Senate against the President and Trump becomes the first President removed from office via impeachment.

Trump agrees to McConnell's terms and we get a neutered President Trump having to dance to the uniparties tune.

We go into the election with Trump/Pence vs Biden/Abrams, Biden/Abrams are able to whip just enough of the the white working class in the rust belt and agitate just enough blacks and POC's to regain PA, WI, MI, take a couple of southern states and win the electoral college and the Presidency descively...

The Donks maintain control of the House by a couple seats, they regain the Senate by two seats, relegating McConnell to minority leader, a position he excels at as he can horse trade votes to keep the pork and spice flowing to the GOP puppet masters, which he can't do in a divided congress or with lean majorities in both chambers.

Having lost, Trump is indicted 5 minutes after Biden/Abrams is sworn in by the SDNY, arrested at his home in Mara Lago a day later and the world is treated to the image of the first mug shot of a President of the United States, Trump is tried and convicted by a NY jury, and spends the remaining days of his life in prison.

The SDNY and various other DA's spend considerable time and effort harassing his family from there on out.

The Deep State wins, the Communists win, The Uniparty wins, Civil War II goes live 2023...

526 Guys, my mother loves the simple pleasures of reading the morning paper with a cup of coffee. But the Detroit News/Free Press is a shadow of its former self, gutted by leftist rot. It used to have great local columnists; now, mostly recycled mainstream "news". We used to have a nice little local paper here that was very conservative. The owner died and it got bought out by Knight-Rider and turned immediately into a Democrat propaganda rag. I cancelled by subscription.

Read the bit about your Christmas traditional foods. I know people think lutefisk sucks but what the hell about Swedish meatballs? Those are delicious. Who doesn't like Swedish meatballs.

561 Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some
advice from an established blog. Is it very difficult to
set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things
out pretty fast. I'm thinking about making my own but I'm not sure where to
begin. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Many thanks
