John Durham Now Has Two Blackberries Used by Russian (???) Agent Joseph Misfud, Who Incepted The Idea of Asking About Hillary's Emails Into George Papadopolous

Interesting.

If you don't know: It was Joseph Misfud, an academic in Italy who was been repeatedly claimed by the anti-Trump conspirators to be a Russian agent despite his close connections with Western intelligence, who mentioned to George Papadopolous that Russia had Hillary's emails.

This was not a big deal, as everyone (including me, including probably you) was saying this at the time.

But the anti-Trump conspirators portrayed speculation that Russia had stolen information off Hillary's woefully-unsecured bathroom server as some kind of state secret that only high-ranking spies could possibly speculate about.

So Papadopolous later mentioned this speculation of Misfud's -- Russia may or may not have Hillary's emails; film at eleven! -- to an Australian diplomat named Alexander Downer. Downer also had a lot of connections to Western intelligence, and so Downer went running off to his American contacts to report -- bizarrely -- that a nobody had mentioned the speculation that Russia had Hillary's emails (a speculation, I repeat, that literally everyone was speculating about) to American intelligence and law enforcement officials, who promptly took that information and.. got a FISA warrant to begin spying on the Trump campaign?

If this all seems like a set-up and pretext, that's because it is and always was. This was a political operation against Trump from the start.

But we can't quite prove it.

But what if we could?

What if Misfud turned over two BlackBerrys which contained, say, his prior communications with, say, the American plotters, asking him to contact this nobody who was briefly named as an adviser to Trump?

We don't know what's on those BlackBerrys. But apparently Durham and Barr now have them.

It was special investigator John Durham who acquired two BlackBerrys used by Joseph Mifsud, the Maltese professor who jumped-started the FBI's long Russia probe into President Trump’s campaign.

Sidney Powell, attorney for retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, filed a court motion on Monday disclosing the phones' existence while tying them to Western intelligence.

She told The Washington Times on Thursday that she has confirmed that it was Mr. Durham’s office who obtained them.

Attorney General William P. Barr assigned Mr. Durham, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut, the mission of finding out the origins of the FBI’s counter-intelligence investigation known as Crossfire Hurricane. She told The Times that a "source," whom she declined to identify, told her about the BlackBerrys.

...

The FBI and special counsel Robert Mueller have always contended that Mr. Mifsud was a Russian asset. Mr. Mueller's final report made no mention of the numerous associations Mr. Mifsud maintained with Western diplomats and intelligence figures.

Mr. Papadopoulos contends Mr. Mifsud was a Western agent sent to entrap him.

...

The motion says: "Michael T. Flynn requests the government be ordered to produce evidence that has only recently come into its possession... This information is material, exculpatory, and relevant to the defense of Mr. Flynn, and specifically to the "OCONUS LURES" and agents that western intelligence tasked against him likely as early as 2014 to arrange--unbeknownst to him--'connections' with certain Russians that they would then use against him in their false claims. The phones were used by Mr. Joseph Mifsud.”

OCONUS means "outside the continental United States" and "LURES," I guess, means agents tasked with entrapping (luring) a target into some compromising behavior.

Previously, it had been reported that Barr and Durham went to Italy just to listen to "secret tapes" about/of Misfud.

When Attorney General William Barr showed up at the U.S. embassy's Palazzo Margherita here on tony Via Veneto last week, he had two primary requests. He needed a conference room to meet high-level Italian security agents where he could be sure no one was listening in. And he needed an extra chair for U.S. Attorney John Durham of Connecticut, who would be sitting in as his right-hand man.

Barr was in Rome on an under-the-radar mission that was only planned a few days in advance. An official with the embassy confirmed to The Daily Beast that they had to scramble to accommodate Barr’s sudden arrival. He had been in Italy before, but not with such a clear motive. Barr and Durham are looking into the events that led to Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, and suddenly all roads were leading to Rome.

The Daily Beast has learned that Barr and Durham were especially interested in what the Italian secret service knew about Joseph Mifsud...

A source in the Italian Ministry of Justice, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told The Daily Beast that Barr and Durham were played the tape. A second source within the Italian government also confirmed to The Daily Beast that Barr and Durham were shown other evidence the Italians had on Mifsud.

Misfud seems like he worked both sides of the aisle.

But that is exactly what makes him useful as an agent for Brennan/Clapper here -- that he can be portrayed as a Russian agent, when actually, he works for one and then the other as he might be paid to do.

Remember, Stephan Halper invited Michael Flynn to a dinner party, and then reached out and invited a Russian student named Lahav to the same dinner. So that the Brennan/Clapper conspiracy could then leak to the media, "Michael Flynn was seated at a dinner table with a Russian!"

Yes-- the Russian that you invited there, that you specifically sat at Flynn's table, that Flynn knew nothing about until you introduced him to the person you were trying to set him up with.

Stephan Halper is the kind of guy the FBI pays to bring cocaine to a party so that when the FBI charges the party host, they can claim "cocaine is known to have been present at at least one party hosted by [SUBJECT]."

Yeah, this "evidence" doesn't count when your paid agent contrived to manufacture it.

Anyway: Yes, this does seem to follow that same pattern. Reach out to a Western operative who also sometimes deals with Russians (either as a double agent for Russia or a double agent for Western intelligence; doesn't matter which) and have him contact a former "Trump associate" and then say "Oh my God, a former Trump associate was in contact with a Russian asset, we need a FISA to spy on Trump himself."

Who was Misfud working for when he approached an absolute-nobody in 2015?

I think he was working for the Brennan/Clapper conspiracy.

And the fact that the Mueller report perjuriously withheld the fact that he also has links to Western intelligence shows the "guilty mind" that prosecutors talk about. Intent can be inferred by after-the-fact behavior, like trying to cover up evidence.

105 Yahoo News:

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asserted that the Russians are attempting to undermine the 2020 election by backing Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D., Hawaii) as a third-party candidate, stating "she's the favorite of the Russians."

Appearing on Obama campaign manager David Plouffe's podcast, Clinton made a number of claims regarding Russian meddling in U.S. elections, including that Gabbard's substantial social-media support relies on Russian bots. Gabbard was the most-searched candidate after the first and second Democratic debates.

"I think they've got their eye on someone who's currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate," Clinton said on the podcast. "She's the favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far."

.. so, how does 'Russian agent' Hillary know that Gabbard is a Russian agent ?

A reason that COULD be, and of course I don't know, is that there are still a huge number (probably a majority) of deepstaters in positions of power that have been slowing things down at every step of the way. But as key details like this are leaked to the public and publicized, it becomes harder and harder for them to justify refusing to admit it happened.

So if that were true, then reading this like we are could be a tool towards moving to indictments.

Of course he knows. Look at the Ukraine call transcript. Why did the President of Italy just spend a day at the White House? Why was the Australian PM given a state dinner? Why are Barr and Durham and even Pompeo making a tour of Italy, UK, Australia and even Ukraine?

I'm about 50/50 on whether Trump not only knew about the whistleblower in advance he used it as an opportunity to make Ukraine, Crowdstrike and "the server" national news.

A big part of the Insurance Policy was to cover up what they had been doing during the 2016 election and in true leftist fashion they blamed Trump for what they were actually doing.

it depends, do details get revealed in two weeks, six months, or ten years?

Barr needs an hour on TV with charts and diagrams and video to explain it all to the public ... it can't just be held "under investigation" for another two years. Public awareness before the election is maybe more important than actual convictions, but we need both, and soon. Justice is already delayed ... injustice is ongoing.

Bottom line is that the entire corrupt edifice cannot be reformed, it cannot be reclamated, it cannot be rehabilitated.

The reason we even know about the Blackberries is because Sidney Powell filled a motion last Friday to have them released. If you read the filing not only did she know of their existence and that Durham had them she had the serial number of the phones and the SIM cards. Obviously, someone inside the DOJ told her.

Of course the media will try and muzzle this but Mifsud is central to the very heart of the Russia collusion crap. If he is exposed as a western agent not even the media is going to be able to completely tamp down that news. The information on the Blackberries could have Flynn's case tossed. That's yuuuge news.

When Barr told the Senate Judiciary committee that the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign it was front page news. Mostly disbelief but it was out there. If he comes back with evidence that they did indeed spy illegally and much, much more it will be huge news.

That's what they want you to think. Misfud is an agent of Russians. But if it's discovered he's not an agent for them but really a Western asset, then he's actually a double-agent. And if he's not that, then he's really a quadruple agent. Or a sextuple agent. The math can get tricky, but just know that whatever Misfud was, Trump is guilty.

Maybe not.

Blackberry's operate differently than other cell phones.

The call metadata, the text information and contacts, etc are maintained and stored on enterprise servers that are under the control of the business operator, typically.

In this case more than likely the operator is the Federal government or Federally contracted service provider as the blackberry's in question most likely were owned by the Government.

Flynn had to go because he both KNEW how DC and the Deep State worked, AND was on the short list for National Security Advisor.

The one position that could shut the whole damn thing down.

261 Salesforce founder Marc Benioff (after earlier this week calling for the destruction of Facebook) has proposed forcing developers to build "ultra low cost" housing inside new developments, in order to solve the homeless problem. In other words, you spend $500K on a home and your neighboring house will be shared by 12 bums.

I can't think of anything that could possibly go wrong with that plan can you?

I know what will NOT happen? Benioff will never have to live within 2 miles of a bum. None of the billionaire left's rules ever apply to leftist billionaires.

And they plan to make some of this housing for "Temporary" occupants, say, for three months. That idea worked just dandy in the awful Chicago Robert Taylor homes, miserable high-rise ghettos on Chicago's south side. Since destroyed.

Exactly. And the more the left irrationally denies the plain truth as it's revealed--including their own participation in this attempted coup-- the more delusional, crazed and evil they will look to tens of millions of folks in the political center.

A lot of normies are going to be red-pilled as this plays out. Hell, that process has already begun.

270 I don't think Barr or Durham needed the phones to know it happened with regards to Brennan/Clapper/Mifsud - I think they needed the phones only after subpoenaing Clapper or Brennan and they used some weasel defense that required them to obtain the phones to close off the escape.

273 "If Barr has the phones because he is investigating Brennan/Comey/McCabe/Strzok, then he can't give the phones to the people prosecuting Flynn."

The judge could probably just order to see the phones to judge for himself their bearing on Flynn's sentencing. At that point, if Durham and Barr did not want the judge or the US Attorney prosecuting the Flynn case to see them, the DOJ would drop the case completely. This may have been Powell's play - we'll see.

Also, watching actual people get indicted and hauled before the magistrate is a sobering site - one the media may howl at, but the public will absorb - and convictions will sink the last of these folks' credibility.

That's why prosecutions are mandatory to sow this thing up - otherwise, it won't help just "explaining" that it happened...

280 Ace,

The capitalization of LURES makes it look like a specific code word type intelligence program. The definition of lures probably isn't relevant to the program, but flynn is an intel guy and would know the these code name programs that he suspected were used against him.

I'm not sure why they would stick OCONUS in front of it. Maybe so it isn't so obvious. The code words are not classified because they are meaningless.

286 280 "I'm not sure why they would stick OCONUS in front of it. Maybe so it isn't so obvious. The code words are not classified because they are meaningless."

I think because FBI has to have "help" when working out of continental US (overseas), just like CIA does when working INSIDE continental US. So OCONUS LURES would be from CIA or other 5 EYES agency, like UK or Oz.
