The Morning Report - 10/17/19

jivemitt.jpg

Good morning kids. The weekend is here and there's a lot of stuff happening all at once so let's dive in and start with the wretched flea circus that is this impeachment illusion/delusion. I feel kind of foolish for not having immediately smelled a rat when Nancy Palsi caused a scene and stormed out of the White House meeting about the Turkey-Syria situation. She pulled that not-so-cunning stunt at least once before with the infrastructure discussion. In any case, with the allegations about extorting Ukraine to dig up dirt on Joey Bidet now completely exploded, and Schiff-for-Brains exposed as more than likely behind the creation of that smear, along with revelations about real graft and corruption out the wazoo emanating from there and China involving Bidet and other Dems and RINOs, what else is left for her to do? Ol' Yeller Mark Levin makes an excellent observation. If Trump really was the unhinged raving loon at that meeting, why were Palsi and Cuck the only Democrats in the room to leave and, as luck would have it, exit with a gaggle of reporters conveniently awaiting them right outside the door? QED.

And now the Democrat-Media Complex is shrieking about, and twisting the words of, White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney about supposedly withholding funds from Ukraine pending its investigations of interference in our 2016 election. Cue the Ben Roethlisberger cap-lock: It's funny because the Democrat-controlled House passed a bill suspending any transactions with Russia pending its cooperation in election interference. That is to say a Quid Pro Quo bill. Laughable were it not so embarrassing and damaging to the nation. But will to power's gonna will, right?

Circling back to the real criminals, that $50,000 monthly "salary" that Hunter Bidet is reported to have received from Ukie gas company Burisma is a bit murkier and shadier than just fee implies, and involves a lot more money. The meth-head-poon-hound VP's failure of a son is involved in some sort of investment firm with direct ties to the Chi-Coms that is laundering all kinds of do-re-mi his way, arguably as a (heh) quid pro quo influence peddling payment for Papa.

Finally, we look at the source from whence all of this sewage sprang, and that was the original attempt by Clinton, Obama and the Deep State to take out Trump pre- and post-November 2016. Margot Cleveland and Roger Simon delve into the ramifications of getting at the information stored on Joseph Mifsud's cell phones. For those without a libretto handy, Joseph Mifsud, playing the part of Yum-Yum, was not a "Russian agent" but, per Ms. Cleveland:

...Mifsud was the man whose tip to young Trump volunteer advisor George Papadopoulos, that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton, supposedly formed the basis for the FBI to launch Crossfire Hurricane's targeting of the Trump campaign in late July 2016. Yet no one bothered to interview Mifsud until six months later, when he traveled to D.C. to speak at a conference sponsored by the State Department.

And then the FBI let him go, later blaming Papadopoulos for their inability to properly question the purported Russian agent. Mueller seemed equally uninterested in Mifsud - a strange position to take toward a putative enemy agent...

This plus the concoction of the Steele Dossier and Comey's and Clapper's revealing it to the President that allowed them to leak it to the media got this whole thing going. Speaking of corrupted intelligence and law enforcement, Christopher Wray is turning out to be a seat-warmer for James Comey, and a lead-lined curtain encasing the FBI. Total Deep State stooge, IMHO.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

16 The split is so profound that it is hard to know how to mend it unless there is a complete reckoning with all of those who are willing to destroy the country to advance their own interests, from Jack Tapper and all of CNN to the traitors Brennan, Clapper, and Comey. 26 I find it endlessly fascinating how Trump is turning the entire liberal establishment into fierce advocates for foreign military involvement. This startling reality is not getting enough attention. All the peacenik cries to "bring the troops home" and America is a "warmonger" -- gone. Now they're attacking Trump for doing exactly what they screamed about doing.

I know no one that this is applicable to will read but I need to get this off my brain.

Hey American high school student or college student, look down at that device in your hand. Is it an Apple? Is it cool? Well, Apple hates you. With American laws and right to work you are free to work for Apple, learn new skills, and then pack up and leave for better wages. Apple knows that and has based much of their economics on semi slave green card workers.

These people are brought to the US to take your jobs, works for less than you will, and be owned by Apple. The green card is owned by the company and loaned to the worker.

43 rhennigantx, not only Apple. I've spent a lot of time in various startups in the 90s, many of them tech, and use of green cards/H1Bs was rampant even then. And yeah, even then the cost differential was huge between a US coder and someone from, day, India.

One company really went to the extreme and built a facility in India to house a bunch of transcriptionists who worked for 25% of the rate a US based worker could demand. Even at that it was still cheaper, even after QA costs were built in.

I guess I'm suggesting it's the business landscape, and to be competitive it's required for tech to do this. I don't fault tech entirely. Government messing up the rules in the first place draws my ire.

right, I was saying this when the BS started ... of course there are quid pro quos all the time. The problem is when the quids go to the family of the politician in return for something bad for America. That is selling out America ... perhaps treason when done for a declared enemy is a "war". Mulvaney may or may not have been clear on that point as he mentioned the quid pro quo ... but the point must be made, despite the MSM constant lies about it. Sound bites are abused.

Right now we are still on war footing against terrorism (?) ... Ukraine's oil may not qualify as a terror front, idk, but the graft is still criminal. DC has done this crap for so many decades the courts would probably say it is established as a benefit of DC Corruptocrats, along with free $350 haircuts.

All Trump is doing is getting cooperation on who solicited Ukraine to help them run a coup and help overthrow our Republic, by helping to interfere in US elections on behalf of Hillary, and supply "insurance" if she lost. (and help turn oil resources to Soros).

Rooting out DC corruption (drain the swamp) is specifically what Trump was sent to DC to accomplish. It is Job # 1. Our aid/trade around the world all must have a quid pro quo ... pro American.

81 Got into an argument with a liberal acquaintance vis a vis boycotts. He is stubborn in saying they are effective. My point is that most consumers don't really care about supposed political stances but just want a good product. Demand always creates its own supply and all of that. At most they are PR exercises.

He then switched gears and tried to assign a moral justification, and I had to point out that by nature demand rests on a lot of things, but at the end of the day people want a good sandwich at a good price. Making it a moral issue and guilting people against that is doomed to failure, even assuming 90% of the customer base even cares about what SJWs think.

He said I just didn't get it. Oh well.

92 After watching President Trump last night, I was deeply grateful for his desire to strengthen core American institutions--rather than make a legacy about himself. It speaks volumes about a man who seeks to strengthen and build things that will outlast his presidency and his name. While Trump recognized national defense as his first responsibility, it was telling that a close second was the population of the federal benches.

I now envision a second Trump term as a full-court press to reset the compass in as many major American institutions as possible. Hopefully he will be able to root out the cancer that is in higher education.

It's fairly easy to lose a decimal point, or miss a conversion factor. The Hubble telescope's myopia and that Mars lander crash are two examples that spring to mind.

161 The H1B visa game is a little more complicated.

Yeah, used to work for a large Israeli software company and they used H1B's to give their Israeli employees a chance to live and work in the US for a few years. As far as I know, most opted to return to Israel when the time was up.

But they also outsourced a lot to India and Vietnam.

Following a trend that started in San Francisco, but has quickly spread to many states, the children's event promoted acceptance of the Queer BDSM culture. The event's hosts included non-binary genderqueer otherkin dominatrix Miss Xtina Garrot, who read the children a story about the joys of being a Dom, followed by children selecting their own safe word, then learning how to knot leather straps and properly wield a whip. . .

What craziness to say "I will never have children". I get that they are a pain in the butt, and expensive, and become the focus of your life (instead of your next movie), but, Christina, baby! They also are pretty fantastic. Except when your oldest daughter votes for Hillary. I have almost forgiven that, but it's been hard. She's not very smart, what can I say. Anyway, kids would be good for you Christina.

Glad you are having a mostly positive experience raising your kids. Other families experience a shit load of never ending pain. Nothing wrong with people deciding not to have children.

Maybe these groups won't reform and become a threat to us and execute attacks against our citizens and the homeland. Maybe they won't endeavor to attack our military, embassies and structures around the world. I'm skeptical, but maybe the president is right and we need to try another strategy. 260 The case of the Texas House Speaker is bizarre, hard to know what's going on even for those of us close to the situation. First, out of staters should know that while the Governor and the Lt. Governor and the Texas Senate are pretty conservative, the Texas House has been run by the Chamber of Commerce GOP-e, and corruption is rampant. But also, the Texas Lege is now out of session until after the next election, so it doesn't really matter who the speaker is anymore, other than for campaign ads.

As regards the tapes - the guy who made them spent the last 6 months trying to blackmail everyone with them, so he's a scumbag too. I listened to highlights, and I didn't hear anything criminal; but I did hear an idiot who doesn't need to hold political office anymore.

Assange told her (pretty directly) it was Seth ... and asked her to tell the parents so they would know.

That reporter later changed her story, but she laid out a lot of details, can't change everything and remain credible ... lots of weird stuff like that, pressure applied to change stories, kill or imprison witnesses ... Deep State at work covering their crimes. imo

Really crystallizes who's in charge in Mexico. Yikes.
Posted by: WisRich at October 18, 2019 09:17 AM (G0vdT)

It's proof, as if any were needed, that one of the biggest problems in Mexico (and the rest of Central America) is that the Cartels are stronger than, and outgun the Central Government. That's why those governments can't make any serious move against them.

Much was said about the new Presidente of Mexico being a socialist - but unless he can find a way to militarily impose the authority of the Central Government over the cartels, then he is just another powerless pencil pusher in a cozy office.

If there is any doubt, *every* Mexican State and City near the US Border is run by the Cartels, who only pay lip service to any central control. And by that I mean every judge, every policeman, every mayor, is on the Cartel's payroll. if they aren't they end up dead very fast.

and before being too hard on the Mexicans, remember that there are quite a few US officials at all levels who are on the Cartel's payroll as well. Including a few congressmen and women.

367 the workshop warned that the practices of grading writing maintained White language supremacy.
___________

That stuff in that article is such utter bullshit.

There is no "white language" so there is obviously no "white language supremacy."

There is only English, and the rules of English are the same for everybody, regardless of whether they are white, black, red, yellow, or purple.

White kids don't come out of the womb knowing how to conjugate the verb "to be" -- they learn it, and black and hispanic and asian kids can certainly learn it too.

And suggesting that non-whites are incapable of learning how to use English according to the rules is what is really raaaaaaacist and "white supremacist."

377 The California Gas Tax, that Newsom plundered for the High Speed Rail, lots of mythbusting about the proposition to repeal the tax (Prop. 6), including this site: https://rebuildsocal.org/prop-6-myths-and-facts/

Myth #1: The money will go to the High Speed Rail.

Fact: No funds from SB1 [the gas tax hike] will be used to fund high speed rail. California's state-maintained highways and bridges will receive roughly half of SB 1 revenue: roughly $26 Billion.

The other half will go to local roads, transit agencies and an expansion of the state's growing network of pedestrian and cycle routes. There is no remaining balance that could be used for the high speed rail project.
